banana smoothies are my favorite ;)
oh yeah, because i like all grids, even the ones that are torture. :-)
rofl... I said that because she likes all the babble grids, even the nasty ones, ruru!
susiecat is just hanging in there -- still eating a bit, still purring and talking to me, sleeping most of the time *sad face*
yesterday's was torturous
stid goes to the sin bin
i love the matcha green te* blast from Jamba. MMM
I didn't finish the last one, had to spend time with the kids and all -- but I got past halfway, so that's not bad for an hour's work or so

just me
oops. sorry all -- didn't have taht one yet! LOL
you would ruru lol
lol, okay ruru
Finished yesterdays no list
yup
e's done!
susie is really really old. In human years, she'd be almost as old as our jill *wicked look* but she's a good kitty.
you've been a very bad boy ruru...
herin, susiecat is going on 19. Last summer vet said she wouldn't make it to autumn. She's still here.
it's okay stid, at least we know you'll leave some good snacks. maybe some mocha java lattecinnos
{{{{{folding Jill in loving arms}}}}}}
if miscreant is a word, then why not creant! harrumph.
Susie is OLDER than me *raspberry to stid who is sitting in the penalty box looking at cat food*
ask ruru, he should know as it applies to him often...
is there a tr7?
i don't miss much of anything
creants or not
I don't know hugs been trying to find one
Aww. Jilli. That's harsh... I will send lots of non slobbery puppy love her way.

aww, thanks, stid *opening penalty box door*
nan called it
or at least listed it
Jill so kitty is just aged?
stid doesn't know why she's been in the sin bin. It's because she used a na5/14 word
Wow Jill you are one very lucky fur mum for a kitty to be of that vintage.
i ahve a tr6
so do I MLF
listed it -- still missing 3 7's - the tr and 2 others
I saw it Jill, after you told me I needed to go to the penalty box. oh well *stuffs another bon bon in face*
well, I just greyed out the middle T and no tr7
herin, she has hyperthyroidism and the vet said she has a parathyroid tumour but I'm sure she's wrong -- calcium test didn't show it.
*spits it out* that was NOT a bon bon!

According to lickety, there's no tr7.
i guess muse can stop looking for that tr7 now. :-)

oh okay i didnt think i saw one but was making sure
Jill you are very blessed to have her
someone called a tr 7 at the beginning

How is the grid?
Hi and im lurking
Nice fish Herin.
Hi Red! easier than yesterdays!
Hi Infernal
Thanks
I did finish yesterdays no list
Thank goodness, I didnt finish yesterdays because I had to go to work...
My goodness Infernal - thats v. good
I did use morewords
Thats still good..I got the list at 2/3rds and it still took me another hour
I did have all day to do it too
I used to spend hours & hours, no longer, its not worth it, when I stop finding words myself I get the list
As its sunday i had nothing to do
How was work Red?
still at work, its OK, I am losing my voice Herin...
pout
its ok, I now have a smoky/sexy voice...
cool
ooh, I am semi in the grid...

congrats Lynxx...I have 43 words!!!

just working on them now helen, only knew the first one, monkeyed the others and 1 to go
thankss :)
first one is a four wheeled mini-motor
ah, another is a 1960's fashion designer

You're welcome

hi rolin
hey pink
Hello
hey herin
Herin!
Hugs
Pink you asked the other day about my ex and b.f yes?
diry
shoot
yes, you said they were playing the Playstaton together?
Rolin if you have to put it in here please a) make it a real word and b) one that i don't have
lol..i was saved by my awful typing
cant see how theres gonna be 3 from the corner 'w'
Ok Pink. My Ex is one of my best friends. He had to escape the house and came over. We chatted about stuff for a couple of hours then when my b.fs friends went home we all chatted together then they played the play station like five year olds
Rolin they are not hard words. Rather common
that's cool herin, b.f has no problem that you and ex share so much history
Not at all. I have 2 exs in my life and both know that i class them as gay male friends.
hahaha, thats one way of looking at things!
Well that puts them in the 'Look here mister im not interested don't think about it' pile. Plus they both respect my relationship with b.f and if they don't i don't talk to them. I have had to put one in his place and not speak to him for about 6months when he wouldn't respect us
you go girl... let me guess...was he saying things he shouldn't?
cool girl's daughter's name is in the grid today (nadine)
Yep and being a pest. Hes a nice guy but still.
you done, what you had to do. If he couldn't respect the fact you have now moved on, then, he gots to go!!!
70 words down...moving slowly inbetween stuff to do..
I did not want to lose him as a friend but i wanted bonderies.
Man i should write my life into a soap opera
Go Red
its was a tough one but you made the right decision...further down the line it may have caused problems and tension between you and bf....sorry he isn't woth that!
BF rocks. He is snoring his head off next to me at the mo
sounds as if you really love the BF herin....im such a sucker for a love story lol
Yep. Yes i am.
was you watching him sleep beside you herin?
Nope. I was facebooknig
I was also nudging him to
One of my old friends added me on face book so i changed what she could and couldn't see
brb
ok maybe asleep myself by then

Morning red, Yvo et al.
HI, kattie, dear!! It is one degree below zero, and when I went up the lane for the papers, I was so happy that I bundled up well.
( is 5F with windchil of -10 f here )
{{pink}}
did you get more snow?
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hi all
how is ms carlee today!
its too cold for snow
Us, chiley? A little bit... snow showers all day... icing in the afternoon, but bitterly cold now.
ms carlee is... alive... without coffee thus far..waitin gofr the sunday morning gang to come for coffee
**Sending stong, hot coffee to pinkie and carlee**
fffreezing i thought it was cold in London, we aint got nothing on you's
ahhh, thanks scarlet, God knows i need one
Aha Scarlet...I just checked my son's webcam. He still has plenty of snow and Abby's snowman is still standing.
thank u dear... bte I HATE winter
kattie...everytime I plan to make creampuffs, I always think of your hilarious, moment to moment reports on yours... you make me laugh even when I don't see you!
*runs to kettle*
as much as re's..i hate winter
cream puffs and me....we are an unusual team
back with a hot cuppa... hi there Scarlett and carlee and anyone else who came in!
I made them successfully..then.once again hockey pucks...
Oh, chiley... we still have snow in the yard, and the sun doesn't hit some spots... and it will stay cold for the coming week... You are a West Ashevillian.. is this uncommon weather!!
Scarlet, the pl of your nickname.. in the grid along with the volcano again.. (-:
I am to the point that Iwill NEVER count on them..and will only ever add them as an afterthought so I am never counting on them
Scarlet, did you get the email with the Grove Arcade photo? No....Jan - Mar were ususally the worst times
Good morning, only 19 to go and I am stuck. Could i get a clue on re8/45, the first one, please?
pinkhat at 7:20, Marc
LOL, Aloy... I noticed... chiley, I am having major difficulties accessing my email... daughter thinks it is due to some virus... she's working on it, and hopefully, I will see what you are so kind to send along... I have letters waiting for me and people getting cranky for repsonses... but no luck! Sorry for the delay in the answer, but I have major lag this morning...
I have 21 more to go, Marc.
Thanks Aloy got it
I am down to 17 Scarlet but it is going so slow now
I guess your internet is "frozen"
I thought this one was going to be breezy easy, Marc, and had the illusion for the first 101 words... **feeling properly humbled now** I think so, chiley... I can just imagine the spam I'll have to delete... probably hundreds of garbages by now... at least I will have my football this afternoon! And great friends here... :-)
who plays this afternoon red?
hi, all. how many of you use Firefox browser?
This will be the conference playoffs to determine who goes to the Super Bowl... Green Bay gets the Giants and New England plays a fairly bad team: San Diego.
so should be new england and...greenbay?
fireworks.. but I haven't finished my second cuppa, so .. I'll stick around, lol...
Yep!! And what a game that will be!!
<POMPOM TOSS> for aloy
where is superbowl played this year
pop the popcorn, its time for football!
Oh, Aloy... hardly ever see thee lately... so please stay a bit... Yippety and Yowzas for the Florida lady!!
ok.. are you rooting for the Pats, Scarlet?
I'll have to borrow a team to root for..
Scarlet, don't count out San Diego. I think they are going to give NE a lot of trouble. The only problem for them is that it is in NE and it will be cold.
lol aloy same here! hello everyone
hi gramma! yup, I always root for the hapless Browns.. sigh, tough being a Cleveland fan
ok..gotta run.... enjoy the game..perhaps I willget to watch some
You know, kattie... I don't know... hope it's someplace warm... Green Bay will be zero degrees today, and after last week's blizzard, I think they can do anything. I have to, Marc... Rivers won't be playing...at least the injury report said so, and LT is really iffy after the high ankle sprain...
bye, carlee.. see you next time
of course I am a Bucs fan...sigh
Down to my last 11 all tr's. How are you doing Scarlet?
I have a very old orange sweatshirt, "Tampa Bucaneers" that always draws comments when I wear it ... old colors.. very very orange
On the one hand, Aloy, I would like to see NE push the 1972 Dolphins off the front page of football history... and have a perfect year... but Green Bay seems to be the team of destiny... nice to see Bret Favre have such an amazing season...
I can imagine the comments lol, tho that shirt is probably worth alot
I am so busy yakking, Marc, that I am frozen at 21... LOL
someone actually offered to buy it, gramma.. no way, Jose..
Hello all, it is 20 degrees here
I have a shirt with the New York skyline on it showing the twin towers...I won't part with that either
hi peri...nippy here in Florida too
hiya, Peri.. in the 50's here with some very very welcome rain
HI, peri!!! WE are also freezing... Aloy, I still have New York Mets' shirts from their stunning World Series' win in 1969!!
how nippy grammt?
Scarlet, you re up early
hi peri, 16 degrees here up from -2 degrees yesterday
50's nippy to me anyway lol
Same here, terri... but my heart breaks when I wear it...
(-: treasures in our closets! Where are you in Fla, gramma?
ditto scarlet...I can't wear mine, it's hanging nicely on my wall
I am in Oldsmar Aloy, a spit away from Tampa
Peri... up really early every day... just can't Babble until I take care of beloved and the poor old cat.
how is beloved and your dear old cat?
ah... i am in sw Fla, but it seems the temps are cool all over the state
Scarlet, Asheville is beautiful. Went to a wedding at the Biltmore several years ago. Also, spend a lot of time in Boone with friends there. Really beautiful part of the country.
yep freeze warnings tonite...brrrrrr
Yes it is, Marc.. and the Biltmore is a palace... all visitors seem to want to see it... and the Grove Park Inn, too... we just love it here.
we have a Biltmore hotel here too...it's haunted and closed
not to mention being the hometown of the late and great Thomas Wolfe..
ghost hunters is coming here to investigate...I love that show
peri... poor beloved is going through the cycle of feeling okay for a short time and then getting walloped for a few hours... poor Phaedra is still acting very odd but responds with deep purring when I stroke her...
I mean closed to the public...it's a private invitation only mystery dinner theater now
LOL... Aloy, I told you... come to A-ville and we'll tour the city... Mr. Wolfe's home in right in the downtown...
(((((((hugs to Scarlet's beloved)))))))))
(((((((Phaedra))))))) and to (((((((Scarlet)))))))
ooh, Scarlet, you have your hands full... sending support vibes........here they come...*************
ditto scarlet
does he have the flu, Scarlet? I had it Mon-Thur
Awww... you're bringing tears to my eyes, peri... such a dear friend...{{{hugs back}}} Thank you so much Aloy... Got 'em! Thank you too, terri... it's just one of those down times... I have so many blessings... No, Chiley... it's an upper respiratory infection... we have our flu shots (for the first time in many, many years, and it seems to have worked)..
our lives are haunted by a Georgia slattern because a London cutthroat went unhung.. I'll be there one of these fine days, Scarlet..
I am done. Thanks for all the clues but I need to go and get some things done before the games start. Also, our son just came home from Iraq after a year so need to spend some time with him. I mentioned it a year ago and received some great prayers and good wishes from all the Babblers, thanks again,Babble has kept my sanity. Have a great day.
Oh.....Well best wishes for a speedy recovery
kiss your son for me Marc...blessings to you all
you too, Marc... see you next time!
Thanks gramma, I will
'Bye Marc and hug that son of yours from us!! :-)
OH Marc, give him hugs from all of use. I'll pray he doesn't have to return.
Thanks chiley
Mark say thanks to your son ,Have a good visit
Will do Scarlet
Ok yvo, siging out now, woosh!
Aloy dear... I really do need more information.. too sparse, but very interesting? GA slattern? Murderer? Hangman being too lax? What goes on here!?
I really should woosh off too.. may I help with a clue or two before I go? LOL, Scarlet.. a quote from T. Wolfe, "Look Homeward Angel".. his words just touched my soul..
think about what happens in a "ripple effect".. that's what it means to me
I love the statue in front of the huge arena here in town... An angel with wings spread... in honor of Mr. Wolfe...
hi all
you never know the consequences down the line of your actions or inactions.. ponder, ponder
Indeed, Aloy. Hi angelina! And 'bye all... beloved needs food!
cu later Scarlet
tret
bye scarlet, take care
see you next time, Scarlet... and I also must tend to necessities.. cheerio for now

I'm going to work on my new Firefox website today.
his wife has probably grounded him
Maybe he lost consciousness when he saw the request, Owl.
What kind of website, Angel?
Haha, Jean.
morning folks
morning Feather
Hi Featherbee! How is Daniel doing? Did he/you sleep well?
gm feather
hi feather
no, i ended up going and laying down with him a few times
has anyone tried these cups of self heating coffee and tea yet?
It's hard to sleep when you have a cold.
No, how are they, Nut, besides self-combusting?
you should see his hair, he looks like he's been electrocuted!
hadn't heard of them eva
well, so far they're not heating as fast as they say they do
Poor little Daniel.
False advertising---rare, huh?
hadnt seen them nut do they work?
use metal disc, or all chems?
you push a button on the bottom, let the stuff mix...shake and drink
hello everyone! Scrabbler, I watched Amazing Grace last night, wonderful story
hi annie
going to take a family trip to walmart...i've been in the house all day for the past 2 days...getting stir crazy!
hi Annie
Did you love it, Annie? And did you watch the music video?
gotta go get ready
Good luck, Featherbee!
i need a c

Give nDanLia a C!
hi angelina

oh boy, it says its ready!
CEE!
brb
hi annie
Annie, go to the Menu then Bonus or Special Features and you will find a great rendition of Amazing Grace by Chris Tomlin.
tx, but clue for the 8th one
Hi Owl!
Scrabbler, okay, I will,,,later
**awaiting Nut's review on the product**
Hi Nutty!
back for a sec, in between dressing kids...scrabs, how much do i need to worry if nick keeps rolling onto his belly to sleep? i put him down on his back, but he doesn't stay that way!
well, eva, any good
babies are supposed to be on their back until 6 mo, but when they are rolling it is tough without using bungee cords or duct tape.
LMAO!!! ok, thanks
my eldest was always on move when sleeping
off to tackle daniel...err, dress daniel
Yes, Nick is entering the mobile animal stage now.
feather, I can see poor Nick now, all taped down and positioned with bungee cords LOL
But he will be on his back, won't he, Nanette.
i suppose so at least until he discovers how to undo the tiedowns LOL
seems i have done enough damage for today....poor bill never returned. think i should pack it in for now
That occurs during the Houdini stage of childhood.
awwe TO is feeling rejected ..... cheer up Owl its not that bad
Stay with us, Owl. I think Jean was right. His wife saw the chat and smacked him into unconsciousness.
ow that's not funny *grins*
When Marc Freeman or Torgone or Takuma come here, make sure you put da4 in after you say hello.
and Montreal
one of them is sure to accept your offer
or DC
you probably will never see them again if they were lurking lol
G'd morning Babblers!
And Bonkler and Seain, etc
Morning Lori
but in Owl's defense there was not question mark
gm lori
Lori, how is life way up there in New Scotland?
hi lori! btw what is today's theme?
Are these 146 simple words, or are thet of the mind numbing variety?
*no
Todays theme is tropical fish.
Haha, Annie, that was her "out"..
hi lori
oh lord you saw it , too, annie?
So far I have found very normal words.
well i heard the clue for re8 but i cannot find it
Yes, I did, dear heart! I saw bill got bonklered onto the floor by his wife
Owl, it is in the archives for public viewing for infinity.
***studiously wading gently in to the grid.***
Bunny Callie is on my lap.
how is she?
How are the bunnies?
successful experiment!!!
She is an old bunny---she can't jump up on the couch and sit next to me anymore.
was it good and hot nut?
so hot it could have burned my tongue
The bunnies are fine and will all get clean rooms and litter boxes today.
she needs a little step stool Scrabs to make it easier for her
but the tea itself could be better...i'll try the hot cocoa next time
Or a ramp, Nanette.
oh good
So, how many stars would you give the product, Nut?
I had to put a little step next to the bed for one of my cats, she just cant make the jump any more
What are you testing, Nutty?
i'll give it 3.5 out of 5, i'd give it a 4.5 if it tasted better.
self heating cups of coffee/tea annie
"if it tasted better" is not so hot
I am going to see the musical, Spelling Bee, in Buffalo tonight. Anybody see it? My friends saw it in NYC and said it is hilarious.
well annie, i am spoiled by my panera chai tea is the problem, no one can ever tops that
so you are not a caffeine junkie, nutty?
V is greyed out, yay!
actually no annie, i consider it a treat
and this was market research of course
snap scrabs! me, too same time!
Cool, Owl.
could be nice to keep a supply with me underground for when exhaustions or overtime strikes
I passed halfway, time for a break.

hello red
Hi Uni, work was alright, some annoying difficulties, but not particularly bad...I lost my voice though...
Hi Annie!
You don't need a voice to babble! :)
Yes, it's lovely, I can still make a ton of "babble noise"

hi mva
If you can be a miscreant, why on earth can't you be a creant? ****mumbling***
Hi MVA!
that's close to one of the eights lori
Good morning sunshines! In case you are super new, I will be your tourguide today and direct you to some helpful links fi you should get suck. There is Angelsong's babble page, located beneath the grid in "friends of babble", as well as "help" right above chat, and Lickety's babble clue (also below the grid) if you reach a halt in your word finding. Good luck and beware addiction!!
I was thinking the same, Uni and hi MVA
Ahh but lori, use a different prefix, meaning to do it ahain, and you might have something there...
Hi MVA, Morning Mum! What do you think of Hanni in this pic?
Gotta' refresh Uni, hang on. ***get suck, LOLOLOL ***
Oh, thank you, red!!
ty red!
thanks for the advice and help. much appreciated uniqiuty.
That would be stuck, not suck. My bab. expert doesn't allow me to go back up a line, otherwise I lsot everything :(
Nice pic of Hanni 31. Pretty colors.
Thanks for the heads up angelina and red, off I go to look.

YVW, It was clued earlier which is why i had it...
hi red turtle head
yw lori
Hello again sun.
One of my dreaded sections too. Excellent tip!
Uni, did you make the list yet? Elders?
UNi is on the list!!!
RTH unfortunately is not...
I am!! **dances in seat**
Yea for Uni!!! red, you'll be there soon I'm sure.
***That girl never could sit still...*** :)
Also, sometimes the rankings go wonky, I've noticed. You could really be there and not even know it yet :)
i keep trying spanish words in this grid, but they don't go for them...
My goal for the day is to only go by tile stats, and not look at Lickety's. Frustration is setting in already......
can anyone please clue me the 1st na 4/5
I have no na's yet. Sorry ruthy.
sp for no & pl
You can do it Lori!!
what uni just said!
speaking of spanish, nothing
go lori go
ty and hi pabtrek
Hey Pab
There is tremendous satisfaction in seeing tiles grey out though, so that's encouraging.
G'd morning pab, hurshy
hi pab and hurshy
hi MVA, Uni, Lori, angel, and everyone else in babbleland
good morning pabtrek and hurshy
i'm at 55 words and hit a brick wall!
Wait a minute, isn't Hurshy supposed to be in footbal-land?
hi hurshy
g'morning from milwaukee (well, waukesha)
the game is not until the evening, so, first i babble!
when does the tail gate party start hurshy?
Good tactical plan Hursh. Priorities are important
I'm at 55 Nono, and the battle is slowing....
not really doing a tailgate - going to look about the packer hall of fame and stuff though, before the game.
ruthy - did you get the na4,5 you were looking for?
I have only 28, but I only need one more r word!!
that should be interesting!
are you a packers fan hurshy
yeah

hi sunshines and Uniquity :)
G'd mornign sprite! Didn't see ya' sneak in.
gm sprite
hi Lori! Dinna sneak in... I said hi ;)
hello Sprite!
hi angelina and Nanette :)
i dunno what the definition of sneaking in is. it seems to have more to do with what other chat is going on than anything
It's hard to sneak in when chat seems to be suspended.
So, I'll just come in and say hello.
twoo.
hello Haz!
I just realized there is another r....Ugh
nope, makes you stand out like a radiant princess, Haz. Hi :)
LOL, the direct approach. too obvious. G'd morning Haz. :-)
**refuses to acknowledge Haz**
4 of them even
woohoo, i found an 8!
Hello there! Uniquity, you remind me of my daughter who, when young, and annoyed with me used to say 'Not looking at you!'
hi haz
a q is eluding me, and it's starting to cheese me off.....
I can't hear you, you're not real? that sort of thing?
Hello angelina!
hi Haz
there are birds that are famous for that
good morning all
Exactly, just not going to waste eye time.
G'd morning crp
birds that are famous for getting cheesed off over q-words?
gm crpw
Good morning crpw

come on, don´t give up so easily ;P
On the other hand...... why tear out your hair?
yeah, i started this last night and came back to it this morning

Yay Angelina!!!
wtg angelina

Congrats angelina!
Congratulations angelina!

found taht q! Yea!
i tried that too sprite, lol
yup, I am living proof of that. Well... of the perseverance. Never could learn the other part.
lol hurs :)
oh what was it lori, i'm still missing one
I am miffed I cannot make a particle/past tense of the te7
you mean participle? :)
tssssk yes, that is what I mean. God I hate these meds, lol.
aha, found it
I wouldn't worry - husband isn't on any medication and yet today he made up an entirely new word - monumentous. For things too beig for other adjectives.
making up new words is grand
*big.
Afternoon all. Plonks down in chair savouring big mug of tea.
I love the word. But mine was no great new word, just a stupid switch, lol.
hi FMitch, good to see you :)
Ah, we're joined by FMitch - good afternoon!
G'd morning FM
can anyone point me in the right direction for bottom n's? i have the salamander thingy
*Goes to FM, shaking mug for tea*
finally someone to blame for my computer failure ;)
something to do with death, maybe?
Hi sprite and Haz and hurshy and Lori and Uni and so many babblers :) Ta and cakes all round, help yourselves.

Thank you Haz
So unseasonally mid here today it was lovely.
*mild
8 boxes left to grey out. ***sigh***
You're welcome.
send it over, FMitch, it is cold and stormy here!
Hi Nono, saw your comment in sudoku, ranking prob had been there for a couple of days.
Uni, whiteouts here, do you miss them? :-)
i have reached the dreaded 14!
aahhh, tea, tyvm, FM. Will take a pass on the cakes, missed church this morning because of grumpy digestion! Hi, everybody
G'd mornign JB
Oh Lori, I laugh at you. Was beautiful yesterday, and I shan't bother looking today
Hello JBs.
mmm, i'll take some cakes.
oh dear, a sudoku ranking glitch? Must have p*ssed off some people )
Hullo, Haz, Lori!
i dunno why it mattered, it was perfectly obvious what people's ranks really were.
hi JBs
It was so funny sprite as there was one person in the top category and everyone else was bumped down a notch. Hi JBs
hello everyone :-)
I haven't checked my ranking here for ever so long, as I am now to a point that I can usually get a third to a half of the grid done before work.
Hello Katie.
Hi, pab, FM (ty for the tea, soothing to tummy)
Hi, Katie
lol, FMitch, I can picture the row :)
G'd mornign katie
hi JB, katie
But I haven't finished a puzzle for weeks, so I don't think I'm even on the lists
Mmm there are some times that only tea will satsfy and comfort (said the English lady) :)
Hi, sprite! Didn't see you there!
is there a y6?
I am almost 2 months behind in sudoku. Must have disappeared from the lists completely, lol.
yes there is, aha!!!
Yes there is hursy yi6/27
I am easy to miss, JB :)
I did not say that. I am only ea4 to miss.
help with the top t - i have ts5 and ty4... ?
Two ts5
lol, sprite, I'm happy to see you! Hope all is well, or getting there!
lol sprite, I actually didn't have it!!!
ts x 2
tx haz
anyone else been driven crazy by sardine?
No problem.
JB: not even close, but being here at babble makes me almost feel better :)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^firworks!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I found todays grid rather agreeable but then I am an obtuse person.
Are you asking for a fish, sprite? <hee hee>
lol katie... well, you do now. And I am in the naughty spot having cakes!
Yay, ypsi!
Congrats ypsigirl
congrats yps :-)
congrats girl
wtg ypsigirl
JB, LOL, yes, guess I was...
TY, have a good day......
Good for you, sprite <hands over the cakes plate>, here, that will remove the na* fish smell
List time :-)
oops, I ALMOST did that whole word!
i'm missing one i, anyone have a guess what it is? :)
lollll JB... you can join me here without being bad, if you like!
Faints, I've just lloked at ypsgirls icon up close and its a huge danish pastry, drooooooooool
id6
not unless there are two of them...
Which appeared not that long ago.
Then were you angry?
Hows the Haz household today and what was on the menu for lunch please?
Do you lie quite still?
*slides over to sit with sprite* aaahhh, but tummy still grumpy
i was... getting the message that this is fishy...
ahhhh lie quite still
phoo on me
Do you have a bright notion/s?
id+second vowel+past tense of eat
any sy's?
poor thing.... here, have a calming cup of tea, JB
Nope hurshy
The Haz household is well - lunch was roast beef, red onion gravy, baby boiled potatoes, carrots, runner beans, carrot cake for pudding.
mmmmm, tea, but I'll have to add some sugar / honey, brb
Oh blissful joy
*whimper*
Im on a sensible day as we went out for an Indian last night
*sings* take... an Indian to lunch this week... show him we're a reg'lar bunch, this week...
Indian food... naan... garlic naan.... drooooooool
I've never got into Indian food, I'm a wimp with hot spicy food.
*mmm, dreams of lunch at Haz's whilst contemplating tea and dry toast for the rest of the day*
We've just been to try our wedding meal, Salmon Terrine, Roast beef, yorkshire pud, cauliflower & cheese, veggies, new pots & roast pots then banoffee cheese cake, ate so much I can't breath properly an hour later :-)
Mind you your menu is nicely balanced darn it. sprite I had the sizzling garlic chicken which I adore. Oh all over to katie's
hey, and how are you supposed to enjoy your wedding night that way, hun?
i have 3 ye's and 2 yi's what y am i missing please
is there an S6?
I loved the story of a woman who lost a huge amount of weight, mainly by giving up her favourite Indian takeaway meals. The restaurant knew her so well that it used to send her a Christmas card. They resorted to ringing her up because they were convinced she was ill!
ah, but the indian also have very mild food.
you can past tense a yi, pab
Katie, it sounds lovely!
thanks hurshy
No s5 are the highest
No s 6
hurshy, just WHAT is that song?
I went to the fish & chip shop once andhe comented on how nice my new hair cut was, the shame of it that I went so often he noticed!!
it's from stan freeberg's history of the united states - it's very funny.
lol katie
Sure somebody has to keep them in business, katie! Your menu sounds lovely by the way.
I wish we had a decent enough F&C shop round here, they are all so inconsistent.
Thanks haz, it was a relief that it was so nice as we were determined to have a nice meal and made savings elsewhere so we could :-)
this is a very nice grid :)
LOL, Katie, that reminds me - we once mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary when we went to the local pizza place...They put out the light over our table, brought us candles, and made a special dessert for us. Oh, yes, and sang to us, too. Yes, they knew us well!
until the last 10 that is...
We chose the flowers as well today, just need to finish babble then write some invitations and my day is done :-)
ah, lovely, JB<
LOL JBs
I like your order of priorities, Katie!
tada is a word in my opinion, plllllt
That's lovely JB :-)
hurshy, that is superstition. The odds are that your last 10 are somebody else´s first 10, so they are ea4.
I realised that the whole wedding thing has taken on vast proportions when magazines for the GROOM started to appear.
i don't know about that sprite
Nooo really Haz!
but I do :) Got to be, with so many babblers.
Haz, do you think that they have a publication for wedding PLANNERS, too?
i have to make my sign still, and eat... i better just BJ it
are there any really weird qu's missing 2
Yes indeed. Imaginatively titled 'Groom'
I have a graduate at work who is a lovely lad but part of the 'new man' generation. I was working on my wedding task list when he asked how was my work and how much was hubby2b's I nearly fell of my chair laughing :-)
Hi, can't see too many grooms wanting to read that magazine!
Intriguing, going to google
No cath but you can be that lots of brides will be buying it!!! Bride mags are about £5 each!
I can only assume it talks about 50 ways to get a decent shave and how many ways you can tie a tie.
*bet
dang computer
how to get out of a wedding at the last moment?
tell me about it, JB.
There are usually big sections on stag nights as well
ye
lol sprite :-)
Sprite! And miss the chance to see his bride floating up the aisle like a fairy princess?
Then again, we do remember THE DRESS and what that did for the walk up the aisle.
well, not katie´s hubby2b, of course. He is not wanting to get out :)
Why do I think for Peter and Jordan as soon as you say that .... OR The Irish Wedding!!
He knows I would get the house and kitties he wouldn't dare!!
Great minds Haz. How could we forget THE DRESS
lol katie... I think losing you would be worse
THE DRESS... katie, tell me you are being sa4 about the dress.
The irish wedding still lives fondly in my heart, although if hubby2b sweats as much as Peter Andre I may make a brake for it myself
I thought Peter and Jordan were going to renew their vows in a simple yet touching ceremony that only readers of Hello were going to hear about? Oh, that's right, she's been busy getting a new nose.
"Gasp"
and FIREWORKS!
My dress is traditional but quite simple, I learnt my lesson well from the Irish wedding. To get a dress like jordan's cost about £2,500 - honestly that much to look that bad!
congrats Nono
wtg Nanette!
Weeee Congrats Nono
and YAY katie. Simple is usually most beautiful of all.
Congrats nono :-)
Simple sounds right. So much better than an explosion at a sequin factory.
But would you not think about the pink Donny Osmond caps for the bridesmaids?
and the odd crystal bead here or there
me
want bridesmaids in caps? For free? Here you go: BRIDESMAIDS.
I'm back. Opening another internet window fritzed my connection, and I got booted off. Sorry for delay in reply, sprite! Sometimes my puter hiccoughs, and I get summarily dismissed to the desktop.
hello all - back for 49
hi ursh
Bridesmaids are in black evening dresses for the adults and ivory for my 8 yr old neice with a subtle band of beading on, they are my closest friends so no pink tule was allowed!!
Hello ursh - and Knight.
lol, THE DRESS! Try looking at that video at 6:00 in the morning when DH still sleeping!
*hugs JB* Don't I know it. On hubby's puter right now, mine won't start.
welcome back ursh and JBs
katie, we demand pics, of course :)
good heavens that dear man lickety put up a list on a moving weekend - vote a noddy badge for lickety and a halo
Thanks, sprite and pab! Hi, ursh, I've got 61 left, but have gone listless so far
isn´t it great, ursh!
Let's send him tea and cakes!
second it ursh
Hi ursh
go JB gooooo!
good morning (11:30 here in NJ) to all babblers -
No list tomorrow from Lickety. Tranquillisers will be issued.
The photos will be on the internet so I'll let people know the link ;-)
*sends a 12-pack of beer instead*
ursh, just saw your vote for a noddy badge - just LOVE Noddy - you brought back a good memory
looking forward for it, katie! I hope you have a lovely day.
That will be good, Katie. And samples of the food?
We will look forward to that Katie, love looking at pics.
LOL, sprite! Hi, JBV
5 boxes left to grey out!
thanks for the warning Haz, lickety is too good for his own good!
Hello JBV.
hiJBV
Yay Lori you've been working away there.
Lol haz, I can take pictures of it if you would like ;-)
* + space somewhere
You'll have more important things to worry about than taking pictures of the food, Katie - but a nice thought!
I'm at 107, so I may as well keep suffering. LOL
yay Lori!
di 6/21 is what I will need to become tomorrow
So, let's summarize the current topics: beer, cakes, and a noddy badge (what?) to lickety... Katie's getting a dress (not THE DRESS!) and sending pictures of food... We're all going to Haz's for lunch... and Lori is 5 boxes away from fireworks!
There are some of those amongst babblers already, I'm sure.
good morning/afternoon --- back for the 8 I couldn't find last night :)
di6/21, that is.
Pretty good round up there JBs, another normal day in babble land then!
Hello cybernan.
hi nan Good summary, JB :)
G'd afternoon nan.
what time is lunch and can i bring a bottle of wine?
Hi nan :-)
Hi, nan!
or what it supposed to be beer?
please do, ursh. Then I will bring the beer.
Lunch has happened!
ok cool - what are we eating?
<making puppy eyes at Haz> Leftovers, perhaps?
dont mind late re-lunch haz
Katie's wedding menu sounds good...... I do have some leftover meat, I could easily remake the onion gravy and the veg wouldn't be a problem. This could be done.
that would be so lovely, Haz. Great food, nice drinks and wonderful company!
Oooh can we have bubble and squeak then Haz, great with cold roast and hot gravy?
leftover meat - south african wine and dutch beer would be great
Then expect the babble of Babblers anytime now, Haz, to show up at your door
And I can show you the cupboard where George used to stay.
I actually don't know how to make bubble and squeak which is unfortunate as I always have left overs and love it.
oh hell - still no George?
I should hoover, shouldn't I?
I've just about given up on him, ursh.
hell no, Haz, we will hoover afterwards :)
Not on our account Haz
I have an affliction whereby, if I have food to make for guests, I have to clean the house first. In case they inspect the place.
lol, please, Haz, don't go to any trouble!
hello
We'll bring a big heated marquee then use that
better not, Haz. You will sorely disappoint us with a clean house and no food!
hi mlf
Oh Haz it is an affliction - I even do it when I know the floors are going to twice as dirty within one hour of guests arriving - so stupid
I have to clean too -I always find the cleaning takes much longer than the cooking
Hi MLF, thought of you today when I saw a porche with MLF on the numberplate.
is it me or are the an words hiding lol?
Ah, you understand, ursh. I can't help it!
There's a commercial that shows a party guest opening the bathroom nedicine cabinet and she gets showered with hundreds of marbles pouring out. Now THAT's an incentive not to peek!
I am back--newspaper and breakfast are done. 60 words to go.
and the cleaning is much more tiring than the cooking
hey Scrabbler :)
I work on the principle if I am feeding them they can take my house how they find it!! Guests on Friday had to sit in a dining room with stripped walls as we had a bit of a decorating disaster
Yes, JB, that one is funny.
But JB - I remember being a nosy child and LOOKING in people's bathroom cabinets.
JB I know the one you mean, it gives me nightmares!
((Sprite))--how are you?
rockets
Hi Scrabbler! We're tied at 60 words
Well done bb!
been worse, Scrabbler, though not often. How about you?
Yahooo Betsy!!
congrats bb :-)
yay bbnaz
So now you'll think twice, 'specially if you visit me, right, Haz?
JB, bad girl! Good thing you we4 alre5 in the sin bin with me!
Yay, bbnaz!
Hello Scrabbler and congrats bb

I'm happy to confirm that I no longer look in people's cabinets!

I thought that was cr

Always clever, that Hazel!
Katie, I understand - friends are those who want to hang out with YOU, not your house/dining room walls!
I just make you work, Scrabbler!
You make us think, Hazel!
so how can there be 8 x Q...
so how can there be 8 x Q...
True, I suppose it amounts to the same thing.

oh duh, thanks Haz, how could I miss that one!
I must find cr6/27 first and then I shall return to the Q's.
sprite, dump the consonant on the end from the french four
No problem, sprite.
not too well, Brookie, but taking it slow and surviving.
Finally. OK, back to the Q's.
scrabbler, would you like a clue for the cr6?
Understood, sprite, one day at a time.

Yahoo Nan!
Well done cybernan!

I finally figured it out, based on points, Brooke.
Okay, I'm going to take a break. I'll see you later, perhaps. Bye for now.

Sorry brookie I still need it as well
ne 6: ne + army hospital, Walter ****

thanks cyber, I never would have gotten that on my own!
I am working on the 3rd and 7th of the list, JB.
They are both 6's, Scrabs
me to scrabbler!
cyber can you help out more with that walter person please?
Yes, I opened the list, but am still struggling.
qu 6/27: archaic sp. for inquire --- same structure as Marlowe's "Faerie Qu****" but with different final consonant
Exactly, nan!! <lol>

TY, Sprite.
I think I am missing the 3rd too, Scrabbler
Oh, I must go, sorry to leave the company, but I must go lay down my little head. I had a lovely time, thanks for the fun!
bye JB!
The archaic spelling is too archaic for me.
qu6/26 first three letters of qu4/8 + from h*** to eternity
Bye, JB.
i'm still missing both, having a thick day, will carry on and come back to them later!

Bye Jb, see you soon :-)

Nope, Nan.

Scrabbler, it ends in 'when we w*** very very young'
Ahhhh got the ce word now I've realised the sun wasn't related to a colour!! told you it was a thick day
the qu 6 you are looking for is a homonym for the qu word meaning odd or weird. Add an extra vowel and rearrange the order
i got the qu 6/27 ty
You're welcome Scrabs
I'm still not getting the first re8,45, even though the clue seems straightforward enough. Any other hints? Sorry!
Hi back for my last 21 - can anyone clue me the te5/12 and the 6/21 plz?
yeah got the qu 6/27 thanks
hi Sandie
**sucking down more coffee in order to "unthicken" my grey matter**

tr 5-6: grooves on a tire
Brookie: to make again... but then person doing it. Make in an original sense. As an artist or god.

I am missing a te6, have the te6/21, clue for the other please
thanks sprite... still working on it...
ah got the 5/12 but now stuck on the te6/21.
I need to get out my light lamp, for light therapy. I didn't need it last winter but I have been dopey this winter and only just thought of it.
there is also an re 7-8: tired tires fixed up
Brookie: and don´t forget, the ending is the picnic pest

Have a great day, everyone! (Poof!)
sorry for the echo nan :)

One yr from today the USA will be inaugurating a new president. Who will it be? (I know who I don't want it to be, but haven't decided on who to vote for. There is plenty of time for blundering by the candidates.)

Guten Tag, Babblers. I am down to my last two words (related I hope) and need help for na 4/5 and na5/12. Please
re 8: tired tires fixed up
Guten Tag, Inge! sechsunddreizig fur mich.
spanish nothing inge
re8 is usually has a'mis' prefix
Lickety for president scrabbler?
na 4: spanish nothing?
na - nothing
3 left here
That is a good suggestion, Ursh---a non-politician and general nice-guy.
gotta dash, work beckons:( Happy Babbling one and all:)
I'd vote for him :-)
hi inge. Might be nothing. Lots of nothing. In italian.
Bye jean
Scrabs, if the person is not a politican and is a nice guy, he would not for president
2 more
am being called down for dinner :) Back later, bye all.
help please te6,18
Yes, that is the problem, Bubba. People that run for president are a self-selected group of psychopathologic
If American politicos are anything like Canadians, they're all just on a big ego trip, regardless of all the talk about saving the country!
psychological people
te 6,8 sounds like the things on top of a castle, only with a te to begin
nan, i have the tires one. got it in beginning of grid somehow. but need the other one, high up on lickety list. after a 5
I mean psychopathology
To get to a position tht one is even considered for the run for president, one must be ruthless, non-principled and usually meglo-manical
what is the te 7 after the te 6 castle thing? i have the 6 but cant get the 7 from it.
That is what I mean, Bubba and nan.
mkg: a vandal is a miscr**** --- change the mis for an re
te 7, sounds like what you put soup in, only iwth a te start
bubba i agree with some exceptions.......like i think gore was an h onest person all in all. and i feel same way about guilanni
can someone pls clue the 1st re8/45?
Gore???, Al Gore, the man who lives in a 10,000sq foot house sourrounded by SVU's and is telling us about conservation, that Al Gore???
ty got the te.
te 7 is like a pate with chumks of meat in it
Fireworks Thanks for the te6 clue!
Perhaps if we paid our political leader an equivalent salary to most CEO's we might get someone that knows what he/she's doing?
In my humble opinion, politicians are by definition, slimy and dishonest.
congrats smc
yay for smc
I fear that I agree, Bubba.
Yahoo SMC.
congrats carrier
nan cant get it from the mis word. you are saying take the mis word and start with r instead?
Most US politician are very wealthy, they don't need or want the money, it is the power that they want.
I am still working on te7.
I don't think so to be honest with you nan, I think it would still attract the same sort of people, CEOs would be driven mad by all the game playing and lack of action
me too scrabbler :-)
te7, starts with the first 4 letters of a person who is a bomber of innocents + opp of out + second vowel
Fireworks, typed it too late, and saw the video first.
Scabbler we are having tr7 of salmon as a starter for the wedding
and that's the problem in a nutshell --- it shouldn't cost so much to run for president or PM --- maybe the media should be required to provide free advertising for the political process.
yay for inge
Congrats inge
who says most ceos are decent people? they also get filthy rich on the b acks of the public. show me a ceo who s ays 200K is enough to live on and i will think otherwise. no one needs more than 200 K to live on even with many kids. exception might be those who have very ill family member to support.
the re8/45 was my last word. It is re + put ***am in my coffee + picnic pest.
I looked up te7 and found it.
Has anyone here seen the video? I cannot read those labels, so I dont know waht to look for. Any explanation?
When we start deciding what people can and can earn, then we are on a slippery slope, what if someone decided how much you can earn.
ty ty ty mary! i got it.
one to go.................................
yw mkg, worked on that one forever. which one?
missing re 7 the lsat one on the re list! got the tire stuff. both.
we already do bubba --- think of the really bright children who never get an opportunity for the lack of access to a good education.
the last re7/32 is when you redo something that was done before
last re 7: attempted again
re+do it again
nan we are far behind many western european nations with social stuff. there the best and brightest go to college and govt. pays cuz it benefits the society. also medicine is free and equal for all i think.
Congrats Inge!
fireworks
Yahoo crpw!
Yeah all
ty got the last re 7 and firewks.
congrats all the finishers :-)
have a good day all,
true mkg --- it does sound wonderful, however those western europeans pay much higher taxes than we do to support their social programs.
help with ce6 please
which one peri
I think we will have to agree to disagree, the socialist system of most of the European countries, is bankrupting there economies. It will fall apart in the not to distant future, then since everyone feel 'entitled' to everything, trouble will follow
I always liked how Georgia made a scholarship foundation out of the lottery money
well guess i am a socialist at heart but i also realized that that ideal will never be. look at what happened in russia which was supposed to be socialism. and i think everyone complains when there is socialized medicine.. we are lucky to have been born in nations where we have the freedom to babble! and the time, equipment, money etc.
hello! anyone have a clue for the NE 6/21 7/32 pair?
imagine that none of us goes to bed hungry! and we all have a roof over our heads, probably money in our pockets, heat and a.c. when needed, and a bathtub and shower to use.
ce 6: gasoline is 86 or 98% oc**** --- apply the same ending
I like the fact that dolly parton gives books to kids, she has just started the scheme over here in Rotherham which is quite deprived. Fantastic scheme
socialism can not work because of the very idea of greed exists... and russia was communist because they knew they had screwed up the idea of socialism enough that they needed it called something else ;) imo
ne + it is better to give then **ceive + opp of ego
thanks got the ce6
ne+ what you do with a book, but change the second vowel.
bubba good clue for ne.
as a canadian i wouldn't trade our flawed socialized medical system for the insane system in america. uninsured children, yay freedom.
now need help with cr6/27 please
plural it for the ne 7.
thnx so much
Thanks bubba
the world will never have money in its pockets AND a roof and food for everyone... mutually exclusive imo
then plural for the 7
ne 4 at end is animal, tiny one.
I agree that American medicine is far less than adequate.
I guess then all the Candian [patients in US hospitals because they can't get the care in Canada, makes the system work
We do have socialized medicine, and despite the complaints it does work. The problems lie with inefficiencies within the program, public abuse, and an increasing number of elders in our society.
need to get dinner started, bbs to finish
its less than adequate because doctors charge so much because they have to pay back for all that schooling
A little town in upstate NY with a p[opulation of 450, have 30+ CT and MRI's because the people come over the border to get the tests. If you need a scan and have to have it now, why wait 6 months for the government to approve
within any government program is inefficiences and public abuse
What is worrisome, is that so many US docs practice patient-pleasing medicine rather than research-based medicine.
ice, there is enough if the money were equally distributed! but it is not. i am a realtor and i can tell you i get ill from the million dollar homes i sell to people who could do with a much smaller house. they could give 800K to charity or those who are homeless and buy a 200K house............and they could buy 4 other 200K homes for others.......but hey, i do my part. i live frugally and give a lot to charity. really a lot. my husband says we cant even take the write off cuz it is so much. i dont buy new clothes but used, i cook from scratch and dont buy prepared, and keep heat down, have a hybrid, and give to others instead.
The government can not run anything efficently. If you want waste and beaucratic snafu's, give it to a government worker!
i agree bubba.
ti for tat, bubba. a lot of elective surgeries do go south for speed of service for a price. some of the trouble is just the sheer size of canada and distance from equipment.
well i am off to work all. have a super time with the grid.......
can I have a clcue for the re 8's?
all hail free enterprise, tell me about it after you deal with mega corporate customer service on hold for hours at a go lol. corruption and inefficiency aren't a gov monopoly.
I would just like to point out I am a government worker!
Bubba, some (like my nephew) are there for experimental or specialized treatment not available elsewhere and their bill's are being paid for by Medicare --- some are there because it is an emergency and our hospitals are full. We have a great shortage of doctors and nurses ---- in some cases they leave after training here for the $$$$$$ US hospitals are willing to pay them.
mkg .. i commend you on your efforts.. I agree that people should give more to charity.. actually a lot of government programs could be privatized into charity, but people complain if you force them to pay anything. Id give to charity if I could afford more than my bills. and I live in the cheapest not lowincome apartments in the area
*training that has been subsidised by the Canadian tax payer, I might add.
could I have a clue for the second ts word please
katie -- change the last vowel
corruption and inefficiency are NOT a government monopoly, but at least with free enterprise consumers have a CHOICE to have said service. In the end you are willing to be on the phone for hours because you feel you are getting a better deal than the small guy can give you.
id6/21?
So socialism does not work in a capitalist society. People will always complain, but always want more, especially if someone else has it. Unfortunately, that is human nature. Once they got TV, radio, MTV etc in comunist eastern europe, the fall of the soviet empire was inevitable. But things are not free. Everyone complins about the cost of health care, but everyone want top notch healthcare.
ok -- getting off the soap box --- time to start my day! --- back at the flip :)
can I have a clue for teh 1st RE 8 pls
thankyou nan :-)
id 6: blend thought and consumed
time, cost, quality of product... at most you can only have 2 out of 3

Actually, I need both re 8/45 words if you have them
First re8 means cowardly or craven
I have one which is similar to cr6 again (but has a consonant before cross letter and drops the last vowel). Could also be clued as re + miscr6
On second thought...you might want to just ignore that whole clue. That was miserable. Ignore me!!
Hard to clue, Uniquity!
Thank you for the re8/45 clue.I just found the word!
That is impressive Min, as that was a mess :)
re + That's ***epy (icky) + small insect

Lilli, It is a fairly simple grid...just need to get on your flow. List is good for speed!
it's a programme i like that has just started a new series so have to watch it and skating on ice was on and had to watch that...although since babbling tv has gone out the window!!
i think i'll go to list when programme finished...ty uni!
Shows you have never seen before tend to be more distracting than old faves, this is true
Hello lillian! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!

Hi lil. We shipped the female husky to Hawaii; we have "permanent" custody of the male, it appears.
atleast you didn't lose both! i bet you miss the otherone don't you?
Well, a little bit. But one husky is PLENTY to have at the house! And I think he enjoys being the only pet. He does demand a lot of attention, though.
how is your cute grandson doing gwen?
He took his first steps last week at 9 months old! **proud grandma grin**
they are very energetic dogs though, arent they?
ahhh, that's great gwen, glad he's doing well
We try to look at the bright side -- he's a good excuse to help me get out and get more exercise. I just can't run much, so the occasional jaunt to an empty tennis court allows him to run off-leash to his heart's content.
91 left.
It's taking forever.
Capng ... do you need clues?
yeah
ld on
de5,12
Hello
de5 ... to put someone off.
you could throw a ball and the bairn would chase it, the bairns don't care whether you can throw or not...i became disabled when my bairn was a yr old and obviously havent been able to do alot of physical things with her, but i've done more crafty things with her and left the physical side to other people. atleast you get to spend time with him, thats something, whether you can do things or not doesn't matter. do you see him much?
Hello herinfernallady! How are you? Welcome to grid!
hi mo and herin
hi all.
Hello mo! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle!
Thank you Mo
glad you got it.
how are you herin?
Hi Everyone.
I am good. Having 8am madness with the kitty at the moment
Min ... doing fine ,apart from a bad cough, how are you?
Must go get ready for my unexpected company. Will save my last word for later.Goodbye to everyone for now. Hope your cough gets better mo! See you later!
Thanks for your WelcomE Min too
thanks Min.
hope you have a nice time min, take care
Lili how is that cold of yours?
The dog likes chasing a ball. We can do that in the house. (I haven't broken anything yet.) As for the grandson, I have to rely on pictures over the internet for now. *Sigh*
i have achest infection herin, and seen dr and got antibiotics...so atleast i won't get moaned at anymore about seeing a dr. feeling better already, this is my 3rd day and i can breathe alot better now.tyvm for asking hin
Lili I remember that you had that infection my brain didn't put the words down.
ahh, but you'll see him soon and atleast you can see how much he is growing with the internet, so that is something gwen
Gwen hugs. Does the Grandson live faraway?
Soon? Do you know something I don't?? I'm in North Carolina, he's in Hawaii. The time difference is five hours.
lilliann ... Ithink I need some antibiotics as I find it difficult to breathe .... must see the doctor.
my mam and dad live in france, so don't get to see the grand bairns very much..i have 1 and brother has 4
oh, sorry gwen
Gwen the internet is a wonderful tool for that
MO get better too
i miss being near to my mam, so i know how you feel gwen
thanks I will try!!
Yes, whatever did we do before email, IM, and internet photo sites?
And cell phones!
I would be richer with out a mobile. Dratted neccesity
We try to make all our long-distance calls on the mobile phone, so our land-line phone charges are less now.
my thoughts go out to you who have relatives far away. A t least all my family are close by.
go to the dr mo, i left it a fortnight and wouldn't have been as bad if i'd gone earlier, but i hate drs and had enough of them for the past 12 yrs so that might have something to do with it!! lol
THat works. My b.f wont let me pay for the bills. So i got a mobile to call my friends.
me6,24?
LILI that is naughty. We only nagged you for three days. Drat should have nagged you longer.
I will make an appointment tomorrow.
past tense of measurement, Capng
(Brit spelling)

Mo its called man flu. They get a cold and most of them complain like its the end
My grandson is on photobucket, under 'landonski'
exactly mo, i was just about to say that...my hubby will moan and moan when he's bad, but mention a dr and he's left the country!! lol
yes they do ... poor darlings.
but what would we do without them?
i will look later gwen....is it just photobucket?
thats why we have the babies, they couldn't cope with the pain and only ever have 1!!
You can go to photobucket.com, and then search for 'landonski'. Usually it then says there are no photos that match, but you can click on their album.
i'd be lost without mine...bless him!!
me too!!!
I now see kitty videos!
you have photos there aswell herin?
any clues before I head off?
too many to clue mo, but thanks
eq? either of them?
eq = the same as. (and past tense)

In your defense, red, you did say you were having trouble talking!
Lilli, Its because I spend 12 hours a night with docs, if I were that horribly ill, they would notice, they usually do...The doc actually looked at the throat last night...etc, so It like I've had 2 visits...
you can do sign language red!

And just what kind of street hockey is that Montreal??
yw mo,and big hug to you so you start feeling better, but not too tight for your chest.
we play in a school yard in Montreal - we do this because the outside rinks are not yet ready...
ound sort of bumpy Montreal.
oh red, we clean it up beforehand with scrapers, shovels...
now...theres a work out!
took us 30 minutes this am to get a reasonable even surface...
Sound like a nice day, but chilly.
is there an ae word? If so may I have a clue?
we're used to the cold and we pick an area where we're not too exposed to the wind...
Nope. No ae words
no AE red
TY gwen and Montreal. No lickety for me today and it is making me a bit goofy.
i have 2 words left! ne6,21 and ne7,32 -- can anyone help ?
I have all the s's except sa 5/12 - the last one - any help please?
JBV, it's sa+ Ta*** O"Neal
oh if i could..I would..
ne 7 is plural of ne 6 - it's a term from mythology for a water sprite
ne + prefix for again + a Freudian term
thanks, lil - never tried that -
Red, is it 'no lickety' by choice?
Gwensi, I am actually too lazy to pull up Lickety. I have only 51 left, so...
TY JBV

i know it's terribly analog of me but then I can also take it with me when I'm away from the computer
sorry gwen - clueing abilities (or lack thereof) are in their infancy...
But it worked!
all 3 an 5.10 begin with a pismire

Montreal, I will take all that I can get.
2 plurals of an4 red, 1 latin

Funny I thought i tried that, but clearly not...
another AN5/10 is AN + an oak ***e

Just popping in to let you know how delighted I am to discover the useful meaning of the last sa5/12 -- "belonging to or consisting of those branches of the Indo-European family in which alveolar or palatal fricatives, as the sounds (s) or (sh), developed in ancient times from Proto-Indo-European palatal stops: the satem branches are Indo-Iranian, Armenian, Slavic, Baltic, and Albanian." I know we'll all have dinner-table conversations about this.

Hi Weegee, done already?
6 letters worth 27 points Rows

6 letters, 27 points rows.
Aussie, sorry I can't help. We never had a problem like that
hi weegee
My children did not do that either. Good luck!
Unfortunately Lilli, the pull ups still pull open very easily.
| have tried the pull-ups, but that makes her worse......
oh, yes, finished earlier. will help with clues, but not with poo or nappies... I clean 4 kitty pans twice daily, that's quite enough, ty
they didn't when i used them,as when my bairn pooed in them it was a nightmare trying to get them off!!
first qu6/27??
sounds like she's ready for potty training..can you get her up a little early and try that?
Well, I am sufferring with two re 5, 12's one after the re8 and the other oddly after the re4,4... help will be appreciated.
steph, it's an alternate spelling of 'query', think latin

fireworks -- hi again all
oh, i see we don't call them that
she has a onesie on.....
yw red, anything to avoid nappy talk...
te is a word for three, or the third canonical hour (stolen from jellen earlier)
very intelligent little girl then auss
then add a consonant to the end of ti.

Hi. Why so i always enter mid poo talk
the 5/12 and 6/21...

the numbers refer to the number of letters of the word, and the points score
Its a type of car.

ohh
hey herin.....

{{LilMonkey}}
Flask what you get on tyres +plural
Hi Mari
red, the last re 5/12 has same ending as last sa 5/12, spell the number 10 and change last letter to one before it in alphabet song
Hello (((((AUssie
I though of something else flask, think of someone who is short/abrupt in speech, and replace the S in that TE word to another consonant that sound the same.
{{{{{{{{{{{MOM}}}}}}}}}}}}

Blech...
te 6 rhymes with a rodent that goes up your trousers flask
gotta go, see you all tomorrow. Good night and pleasant dreams
Also make sure she can take off th clothes her self. Pants and tops are the best. Tights are a pain in the butt and anything with clips and fasterners are fiddley for littlens

oh,, monkey.... you've redeemed me... I was thinking duct tape but didn't dare say...
do you know, it sounds crazy, but I love the idea....
did you get them flask?
**am still lauging at the thought of a nappy held on with duct tape**
Aussie that is fairly normal. Its a thing they can do. They want to actually touch the stuff. Its something forieng and new. Kinda like why little boys play with their penis's
just to reinforce the nappie tape, make it difficult for little fingers to undo
bye jilli
i wasn't kidding about the tape
I came in late, but what about putting the diaper on backwards? That's what we had to do for my nephew.
right around the middle, so theres no end for little fingers to get in the tape, and make the end at the back.....
duct tape worked for my nephew, just don't get it on her skin
I tried that, she can reach.....
flask did you get the te words we clued???
excuse me....penises and duct tape isn't sounding good!!!!

ha, great maxine as always!
cold and windy here, too!
wind chill of 10 i think
Queensland hasn't had good rain in 10 years. Hoping the drought breaks
ne6/21 anyone?
ne6.21 is a type of worm, a clamworm or any of the 50 daughters of a sea nymph
yesterday, there was snow in Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia, Is that our global warming?
Here's hoping the same, herin!
I'm down to the last 4, struggling due to lack of list (at work) TE6/21, anyone?
herin, have used the duct tape, as suggested, and so far, no nappy off......
add a cross to the te5.12, Liz
I think our temps are whacky, Inge. And, I know that that could be the Santa Anna, el Nino, el Nina, global warming, or a quirk, but they can be whacky!
ne 6/21 is ne + babbler **nfield +plural of Freud term.
Aussie hope that works. Also do as i said. See her about 30min before she wakes up and then see what she is doing
Congratulations 72 Temple Owl on fireworks! Hooray!
ne 6P ne + Moses was found in the ****s, change one e to i
lol aussie! we were briefly talking this morning about bungee cords and duct tape to keep a baby from rolling onto their bellies when you're supposed to put them to sleep on their back
thanks, min
good clue, Min
ty inge
oh feather, I am having problems with Georgia taking her nappy off and pooing in her cot at night.....
ty all got it
oh no!
my problems with nick are nothing then!
I know, so far, she has gone through 3 lots of pyjamas, and bedsheets, blankets and such oo.....
Georgia used to sleep on her front, even though I put her down on her back...... Nick will grow out of it, and sleep on his back eventually.....
is she getting too hot at night, reason for pulling off her nappy?
hey dawgy dawg!
Remember ladies, all those behaviours are just stages , will be over in time
Hi ya TO!
nope, its a new thing..... lbd....... she kicks her covers off........
LB kids like to do that kinda thing. Like little boys that play with their penis when they realise that its there
he has always slept on his back, until this past week, when he learned the joys of rolling over
Ah, the joys of rolling over....
he now rolls all around the living room when we put him down.
you put them to sleep on theri backs, so they dont suffocate. If he can turn over on his own, he cannot suffocate any longer
awww, bless....
uh oh, now i have roll me over in the clover playing in my head!
wait till he is crawling....
he does much better going from his back to his tummy. once he gets on his tummy he seems to get stuck and has more trouble flopping back over!
hah !! me too lbd.....
don't know that one
i know. i'm already wondering how i'm going to keep daniel's toys that have small parts away from him.
Feather hell be crawling soon
ladies, i must go . i'll see you tomorrow!
now, this is number one and my story's just begun, roll me over, lay me down, do it again..... roll me over, in the clover, roll me over lay me down, do it again.....
Later TO
if he has his way, yes herin! he's trying to get his legs up under him already, and only started really rolling this past week
ciao, inge

How old is he?
ooops, I meant ciao, TO!!!
5 months
Oh wow. I cant believe how fast time has flown
bless, I remember when Georgia was 5 months, she wanted to stand on her feet all the time...
didnt we just pick a name for him last month???
ahhh, hubby built me a fire. picture me: sitting in my rocker, wrapped in a blanket, laptop on my lap, feet up on the hearth, tv off to the side of the room. ahhhh....
Unreal how fast time goes....... Georgia will be 2 at the end of May.....
time flies so fast! it's hard to believe he's 5 months old already!
i need a video camera so i could show you all how bright eyed and playful he is now

it's a good game!
yay for feather whats the score ?
7 years since Virginia moved Lee-Jackson Day to the friday before MLK Day. MLK Day became a fed holiday in 1984. But, since 1889, it was already lee-jackson day, hence L-J-K day. From 1971-1983 1 Jan was MLK day here. Took 27 years to reseparate them again. .
20 to 17, giants

whats a hook letter?
te5.12 is the third hour then add a cross to the end for the 7
yes, Pam and it's just as cold out here as it is up there.. or Was up there. Left around 5
daniel just started coughing and fussing again. sigh.
te5/12 - short-tempered in speech.
welcome home, Dorens
kazozz, te5/12...... te + hook letter, half circle letter, 2nd vowel....

someone clued the te6 as like the rodent that looks like a mink; finally got it, as i find that species yucky, and don't often think of them.
going to list... want to wrap this baby up with a quickness
you are a woman possessed, dorens 8-)
i cannot imagine that so many REs are here, but know they're ahiding.
thanks. yes i think they're kind of creepy too.. one of my student's mothers raises them for money, and forced this poor kid to feed them clean the cages etc.... absolute child labor
ok got the 5/12 ty
yes I am pam, lol.... i want to lay my body down!
DC, i'm so with you on the rodent thing. I'm not fond of any rodents, and to have one of those in my house is just gross! they back up like little semi trucks and poo in corners!
i kept rats for years, and like those, but the F ones creep me out big-time.
i need 3 more te words i think
my son's fiance has a chinchilla... now there's a weird little pet
I don't like the f ones, either....
i had a roommate in college who had a rat. damn thing insisted on napping on MY pillow! yuck!
te 6/21 & te 6/18
help with the first re8/45, please...
kaz, add a cross to the end of the te5.12
it's plural of the 7/32
te6.18 rhymes with the rodent that looks like a mink
bzzn
rats are quite clean when kept as pets, though i grok not being fond of them nonetheless
and the 7/32 would be????????
ah, dawg, it was you. ty.
ok got the cross clue ty lb
it's tr 6/21 again
like, doing it again
trying the mink one...i need slapping with a fish i guess
what you might put on your car if you can't afford new tires, Dorens
kazozz, the te is mink-like, and kept as a housepet by some. the mink-like thing starts with an f instead.
dorens, do you have tr 6/21?
ty dawg... and that WORD itself is a re*****!
ty dc got it
ty rows, yes i did.. but was too lazy in too much of a rush to find it on my own
yes it is, Dorens!
yeah and then pluralise it :)
i have 12 left and no inspiration
dc can you reclue the te 5/10 one for me? I have all the rest now!
ahh, cmon Herin! you can finish this bitty grid!
perseverance is needed, not inspiration
maybe perspiration?
herin i have 49 left....that should make u feel better lol
ok ill poke it some more
and I 48
I am having trouble with the lone I
i have 58 left
kaz, te5.10 is the sea bird with an extra vowel at the end
a light bulb often signifies getting an i4.5, herin
Thanks i didn't ahve that
got that and its plural and a 6
was missing the standing still one
that sea bird hint isn't working on me
aha
thx lb dunno why i had such a hard time seeing that one!
another i is to be without movement or activity
i don't know a sea bird that starts with te
and to think it up is the 6
Done it i found it just as i aske

Elsh is that a ratty or a hammy in your pic?
hammy
poor daniel, poor feather. i hope he'll be okay soon
daniel still real croupy feather?
CUTE
okay that hint was lost on me :(
rows, do you have the 2nd te4.4?
te5/10, add a vowel to the bird
he started coughing, then started crying, which made the coughing worse. i tried to give him a drink of water and you'd have thought i was offering poison. finally just turned on the lights, opened the window all the way, and sat him on my lap. he calmed down enough to take a sip of iced tea instead of water, and went back to bed.
Oh poor baby Feather.
it's too cold to keep the window open though, which i know would be good for him
poor poor baby
would a humidifier help him, feather?
has one
My heart hurts for the little guy Feather it really does
i sleep with nick part time, after 11ish. last night i was bed hopping.
erg, poor feather! you must be a wreck!

Go, herin and Dorens!
westford, I really thought that GB might do it this year, but I picked the Giants on Jan. 7.
Rows went offline? Do you guys know?
No list for me
makes it easier won't have to choose between Favre and Brady
I don't see her in online
I have '0 left'. Anyone care to race me? *grins*
hello everyone...
ANd no list for the next grid as lickety and Mr Pres are in the process of moving
Scarlet, your record is unblemished
i'm so glad they fonud somewher to move.
Herin - There's always BJ's list in BabAnon.
Hi, scl
hi jellen
and i'll ship the cakepan to the new place :) i finally found it in the basement.
Yep I know that but i am trying really hard to have no list
hello, scn
we weren't watching in real time but I saw the results on here hard time not telling hubby
I wish mrp and lickety the best in everything they do
I can't imagine being Archie Manning tonight... two sons in different leagues being in back-to-back Super Bowls!! Annie, Rhett reminded me tonight and showed me the NYT page that I circled every winner... and my heart thought that GB would actually be carried on the big wave... but Eli was amazing!
hear, hear, annie!
those Mannings are quite the family, aren't they?
well since it looks like Rows went offline, i have a question. ;) i wanna surprise her and make her a pro-babbler...is there a way to pay someone else's acct?
my grandsons must be hugging the picture they have with Eli
ditto those sentiments, Annie
Elsh - only if you know their e-mail and their password.
Elsh, i think you just email Dr.G and let him know who you are paying for.
What a bunch of football titans they are, westford... poor Arch, though with the Saints for so long... LOL, Annie... I bet there is drunken revelry all over the tri-state area now!!
oh, dammit. oh ok...
thanks :D
fireworks
Yahoo for Dorens!!!

Corrupt them all ELsh
Does anyone need clues or is it all football now?

niters twinnie
and Dorens
Good night, Annie... and tell Bobby, please, that I am so happy for him!
Hi, ak. The re8/45 (1st) is like a wrongdoer that normally begins with 'mis'.
re + that movie is ***epy (icky) + picnic pest
will do, scarlet, he is very excited
ty guys, that one was hiding form me
*pfffttt*
AK - what are you knitting for Johnny now? A ski sweater?
Annie! *Sprays air freshener into the log.*
ty again for the re
jac i am making him a felted purse (guess it would be a man purse) LOL
my blood-red t is ready now :D
What HAVE you been eating, Annie? LOL
AH, Ak. A sporran. LOL
what is a sporran?
i felt that...
Keep your monies in it. Its Scottish
Ak - a sporran is the hairy thing that hangs down the front of a Scotman' killt.
i feld that too
:D - it's a bag that was once made from badger hair, AK.
ANd a kilt is about 7meters in fabric so you could sleep in them
ah Jac would that be hanging on the inside of the kilt or the outside (sorry)
Ak - Outside, you dirty-minded woman! *grins*
just and innocent question ;)
Innocent... yes, of course, AK.;)
AK these are sporrans. Now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE note i have safe search off http://tinyurl.com/3c9r8o
hehehehe
AT my end the first page is clean
off to peep
Safe search OFF, herin? Oh heck! *Wonders what she's going to see if she clicks on link.*
Pages 1-20 seem safe enough.
well now i know what hangs down the front of a kilt and inside! hehehe
Look i don't know what you get at your end. My first page was all pretty little sporrans.
I turn off safe search as it filters too much
My parents used to have this little rubber Scotsman in a kilt that someone gave them. When you squeezed his feet, something popped up from under his sporran. *blushes*
i'm w/u lady, when not at work
jewels (of the family type)?
It seemed to amuse them and their friends but they tr4 to hide it from me (I was 6 or 7 at the time).
ak - yes.
that's a variant i've not seen yet, jac LOL
re 7/32 please
2nd one
dcs - I must ask my Mum if she still has the wee chap. Mind you, the rubber's probably perished over all these years.
re7 old tires
ty
dcs - we spell that 'tyres' here in UK. 'Tires' means 'gets weary'.
well i had five left before i hit the list that beats my seven
i actually knew that jac, but figured AK is in US, so go w/the familiar :) wasn't aware that tire was used at all, but that makes sense. rather like meter/metre
may i have a clue for the 2nd na 5/12 please please please
Good going, Herin.
na5= low point
Ren - the lowest point.
dc said two words!!
the last five are stoopid ords i should have seen
those UK people -- passes Jac a dictionary to practise her spelling LOL
OR na + ***e Straits
dcs - I wasn't trying to be a know-all or anything. I like the way we all exchange spelling/expressions etc., on here.
thanks peeps :)
ak - Ahem! You speak OUR language. LOL
AK America don't speak proper Queens English. You lot were too uptight for England and went to the new Colanies
my ancestors came straight from there to here (Plymouth) and have been here ever since. I am an original
Herin, LOL. Let's not start a war.
been there, done that, hmmm thinks back at who won LOL
Said with love
One of the descendants of the Pilgrim Fathers then, AK. Have you traced your family tree back?
this lady on sctv looks like john inman
I love toread the different spelliongs and uses of words. I think it is cool
Ren - that can't be good!
See your an original and im likely decended from covict blood
hahahahah - i know - but she does mistress!
Does she talk like him, ren?
jac my family tree is full of nuts. My family is back to John and Priscilla Alden. I have the paper work and am a member of the Mayflower society. Lived here in Plymouth all my life
Herin - if your ancestors come from Brisbane then it's likely. LOL
bakes herin a cake with a file in it for jail escape
not so much - she's canadian
How marvellous to be able to go back that far, AK. I'd love to hear about them.
night everyone! stay warm! see you tomorrow
I have no idea as im adopted but my births last name is Bayley
'Im free!' in Canadian can't sound that different, ren.
G'night, lbd
i'm free!! - you are so right
Herin - that is my best male friend's wife's maiden name and her family are from Cheshire, UK.
It is rather neat. I alwasy thought all the buildings here were sooo old growing up as they date back to 1620. Then I had a chance to travel to London. I was in awe of the buildings. Stood in Wesminister Abbey and was dumbfounded thinking of all those who had been there before me
Have you visited Stratford Upon Avon, AK?
One of the homes that my b.fs Aunt lived in is 500 years older than our oldestr house
oh I loved it there Jac. Even found my way to a quaint little yarn shoppe. Would LOVE to go back
London, UK lost many of its really old buldings in the Great Fire (as the buildings were wooden).
Ak - did you visit the butterfly farm as well as all the historical stuff? I live not too far from Stratford, btw.
I am thinking about tracing my b.m
i stuck to the historical stuff and that interests me (escept for the shoppping)
i really found the names of your towns interesting - like Statfor Upon Avon - shows imagination and sounds so classy
Not all of our place names are 'classy', AK.
and i know it souunds stupid but i love your accents
Herin - Ihope it leads to a happy reunion or info, but, I must warn you, it's not always the case. (As my best female friend's partner found out.)
either me5,12?
AK - Lots of UK folks say that about the accents.
you all sound so smart and civilized when you speak. we sound like country bump-kins
Well i am only thinking about it. I don't want to inconvience anyone
Cap - me5/12 - a measuring device (for gas etc.), me5/12 - metric measurement.
Herin - You should go for it. You'll find some kind of social worker (probably) in the end who will be a o-between and advise and counsel you.
THat is true
oh yes herin, you should look into it. you wouldn't want to wait and then wish you had
thanks jacula
Herin - 'inconvenience'. That's an interesting word you used there and shows the hurt you may well feel. No one can know WHY a mother gave a child up so don't be too quick to judge your BM harshly.
Not that I'm saying you are judging, Herin.
y/w, Cap.
Herin - were you adopted in Oz or were you brought into Oz?
It's gone awfully quiet in here. *Hums to self.*
sorry jac i was hunting, it is time for me to get ready for bed so i was trying to get in as many as i could
I wandered off to check my email.
" Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing. And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death Just before you draw your terminal breath Life's a piece of shit When you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all a show Keep 'em laughing as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the right side of life... (Come on guys, cheer up!) Always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the bright side of life... (Worse things happen at sea, you know.) Always look on the bright side of life... (I mean - what have you got to lose?) (You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!) Always look on the right side of life..."
jellen didn't we twll you not to wander off
AK - are you done with the grid?
excellent song jacula
ty, jac!
Jellen - we'll have to put re4's on you!
Is everyone singing along now?
not me, can't sing
I promise not to wander off again, at least for a little while. And yes, song is stuck in my head!
i've got the bass line :)
i'm eating popsicles
hey, peeps! another day, another fish: may I have a clue for ty4, please? I've monkeyed too long
I wonder how many people have that song played at their funeral? A forum I was a member of had a 'Funeral Songs' thread and one of the most popular songs was Crazy Arthur Brown's 'Fire!'
got to go now, time for bed
ty4 - one who makes knots?
ty + hospital dept.
nite, knit
Bye, AK. Zzzzzz well.
G'night, ak!
nite all ... poof
sweet zzzzzzzzzzzs ak
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
tyx, jellen, jac - I would SWEAR I'd tried that, several times, in fact! :(
*Sticks earplugs in* BLOODY SNORERS!

><((((º>
<*)))))><
thx, guys :D
one time it hadn't rained for a long time - and we did a rain dance in the field......
I think I'm gonna quit with 44 words left. My brain is tired.
ne6/7 pls?
g'night capng
...and, and... Ren?
miters cap
Night

G'night, capng

ne6/7 is a water nymph and plural.
ne6 is a sea nymph
Goodnight, cap. (Nightcap?)

Night people going i was finding on icon

Hi guys! I'm not getting the first 2 na's.. a clue please?
hibiscus T is rocking!
na4= nothing in Spanish; na5 adds plural letter
Herin - well, you must start your search in Oz then. Sleep well, if you're off.
I'll have the tuna! duh! thanx jellen...
No im not off i was err looking for a new icon and rudely didn't say anything
i wish i'd payed attention to the tealeaf reading lessons in my chinese class.
Jacs I have always known that i was a special want
Tinned tuna, chic?
OH and its cool too. I can actually say i came with a 30 day guarentee
ahi, jacs, sashimi of course
Herin - I didn't even think that your adoptive parents didn't tell you how much they wanted you. I was referring to what you might feel or imagine about your BM.
LOL, Herin! 'If you don't like her you can send her back'? Goodness! Birth parents don't have that option, thank goodness!
does anybody have a clue just what today's video was really all about? I couldn't read most of the labels, even at 1024 X 768 on a nearly new 22" LCD monitor. :( I mean, I got the Google part, and the Firefox logo, and some other stuff, but ... it was mostly just really confusing
oh, that one rocks, tyger, if it's what i think it was. I'm 16 away from knowing
Sorry, tyger, no. I don't use the lickety pro thing and so don't see the vids until he updates them elsewhere.
hello, also, tyger
all the geography was interesting ...
hey, DC
gah! that lizard is my insurance company's mascot.
they just didn't give good enough resolution on the text annotations
it was made by somebody "in cooperation (or some such) with Google". I almost wish I hadn't watched. Just frustrating, and I'm already tired and overdue for pills/snack/bed
grumble/gripe/whinge
IT was about the GOOGLE Earth
B/f's 13-yr-old daughter is sulking at present because he's refused to buy her a lizard. She doesn't realise about the space they need, the special lighting and heating, not that they need live food. (Maybe I should send her to stay with my son's g/f who owns a lizard?)
sounds like a good idea, jac - or at least a visit at feeding time ;)
has anyone found a game site comparable to tangleword? i have been to busy to look in the last week
Jac if the child got sick or what ever then the parents could return the child. I think it was all to do with unexpected sickness. And like heck my parents would have taken me back
Jac my friend has 3 lizards and snakes
tyger - I doubt that next time her mixed mice give birth she will be up to feeding the squirming babies to the lizard.
right, jac, and getting that idea across to her is what's needed, I think
Herin - no parent in their right mind (birth or adoptive) would take a child back after 2 weeks of newborn sleeplessness/nappies/feeding/general disruption of life as they knew it. LOL
But, in the end, it's all worth it. That's why people keep on having kids and life perpetuates.
No um didn't explain that right. In NSW in the 70s the child stayed in the hospital for a month as to allow the BM to adjust and to make sure she was happy that she made the right decision
wow, heat just shot off after 4 hours of running. bet it kicks on again soon. gonna go flip switch for electric backup heater
Anyway, when that child looks up at you and you look down into the pools of mystery and questions that are their eyes how could you resist keeping on finding out more?
hi everyone
but I can remember, when my son was only a couple of months old, as I was drowsing in my rocker at some ungodly wee hour, "I wish the baby's parents would come get him" - and then woke with a start. I was nursing him LOL
hey, saph
Hi, saphyre
evening, saphyre
cold enough out there dc?
Tyger you need a goblin suit if you want the fairys to take him away
hello all....i could really use some help with AN....have the last 3 and one of the 4/4...tia
don't have one, herin, never did
he's 43 now
Herin - It was the same here. But, still, it's not always the mother's decision. Not then, anyway. My ex-huby's aunt had to spend a month in a mother and baby home with her 'out of wedlock' child her parents (father) had refused she must have. She'd bonded on day one and they tore the child from her arms at the end. 18 years' later, someone seemed to be stalking her, and then one of her brothers had a phone call from a girl. They had a few conversations, eventually he spoke to his sister about them. Much went on but then we had a Welcome Home party for Rachel, who was the living image of her mother.
a clue for the first re 8 please...
Hi, Saph.
1st re8: someone who is persistent in doing wrong
how is everyone doing?
Clues for an 4/4 and 5/10?? Please:

an4 = picnic pest + first vowel. An5 = same with Latin plural. an5 (next) = English plural.
an5, second, regular plural
TY, TY!!!
'Bye, tyger.
Bye, tyger
Wow Jac. There is or was a big thing about signing a Sorry book for the Aboriginals that were taken away from their lands and people. I refused to sign it until the Government apoligised to all those women out there that had their babies stolen from them as they were in what ever circumstance and were made to hand over the child i.e' You baby died, or your baby needs an operation/medicine (done whilst woman was still half with it) i need you to sign this form
HI Saphyre how are you my dear?
Herin - are you much paed out but from Aboriginal stock?
*paled out
No im not
I am a lily white person
doing ok - it's been a long time since I could chat or finish a grid for that matter
firewords! what a great video. g'night, all, i have to wake in 5h to go to work.
peace! {poof}
nite dc stay warm
G'night, dc, and congrats!!!
i'll try, saph ;) the cats will help :)
Yes, I see that from your pics, Herin. However, sometimes, that paleness comes from darker people mating with paler people.
{wanders upstairs for real this time}
Hi all!I just got FW's!Was saving my last word 'til now
hi min and congrats
yayayay min!!!
Congrats, Min!!!
Which is another possibility, Herin, that I put to you. You are SO pale that I think your ancestors must have been darker, Herin.
ok have 31 to find - jumping in
Hi, Min.
Doubt it. I do have BM pics
Well done, dcs, and Goodnight.
Hi Jacula! I just got rid of some unexpected company
Shoot I mean i do know that youve seen my pics and that i have info on my BM
BM pics are a good start, Herin. Can we see one?
Sorry that was my bad i got myself confused
Hi Min
What unexpected company was that, Min?
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
G'night, Min
Oh, that was quick Min. Bye, bye then.
Oh, that was quick Min. Bye, bye then.
i just came on to get my last word. Need to go to bed
brb
ff you go then, Min. Zzzzzzzzzzzz well! xx
Jacula, I had my sister-in-law and her family over for dinner. It was nice company. She brought the dinner.
What was the dinner, Min?
did someone ask about a new tangle site?
I'd love it if my sister-in-law brought dinner to my house!
is there a new tangle site
?
Last time my new(ish) 2nd sister-in-law bothered to ring me she wanted me to give her a reference for joing the police force.
someone named tams has started one called Jambalaya on Yahoo supposed to be similar I haven't checked it out yet
My bro-in-law is a UK copper. It seems she didn't bother to join in the end. She is well paid as a translator, being Romanian.
Clue er 4/4 please???
My SIL is a great cook.
sil?
er 4/4 is a sea bird; er + **ed a clue?
Sister-in-law
oh
I was being lazy.
I do not know what it is called, but she made sausage w/potatoes,carrots,peas, & mushrooms in a tomato sauce & baked it in the oven.I just made a salad and garlic bread. I have been trying to get the last word all night. I'd sneak in and try to find it, but I did not get the word 'til now. Anyway, I finally got the word!
ty...I've gotta stop thinking left to right!
congrats minver
rururocks are you a tangle person?
hello all! YAY Min!
no not really but I am interested in it. I was a boggle player for a long time
Hi, stid!
here I am, holding steady with one to go and NOT finishing! LOL
Hi, stid.
te 7/28, anyone, please?
and they did away with that too..
I am determined to win this bet. *grits teeth and grins*
One more e to go....clue please en 7/28...
hey Jac! It's been a while. you okay?
yes "THEY" did
te7 is a type of pate.
Or the dish it's served in.
don't you just hate 'Them'?
I'm doing well, stid. And you?
A te 7/28 is te plus double letter plus Be my Valent***.
thanx jacs, having a blind spot here....
some one who en5/10 is the en 7/28
te + double consonant + d*** in or carry-out?
West and ruru - 'they' and 'them' have a lot to answer to!
te 7/28 was my last word. Took me forever to get it!
yes they do
you bet lol
I am well and happy enough Jacula, thanks. Tired... but that's normal for me this time of year.
you rock minver
stid - do you suffer from 'SAD'? Have you got a lgithbox to help?
Hallelujah! Thanks so much!
john cougar is on sctv prior to the mellencamp
Okay, now I am REALLY going to sleep! Goodnight all!
*Lightbox
'Night. Min.
G'night again, Min!
sweet dreams Min! see you again soon!
Yes, I have full-spectrum lights all over the house, and go outside as often as I can... but there are a combination of factors this time of year and it's tough. Still, this year is better than last!
fireworks and need to get some sleep - hopefully I can start babbling more - sweet dreams all
HUgs the Stidmama
YAY saphyre!!!! sweet dreams!
G'night, saphyre. Good to see you!
thanks lady!
Have you tr5 the migracap yet, stid?
brb
not sure what that is Jacula. but haven't had a migraine in about three weeks...
Stid that really does suck. Thought about going into a tanning salon and having a tan (after the 30plus sun screen and all)
I don't dare do things like that. Melanoma has hit my family once, no need to tempt fate.
(((stid))))
Stid could your migraine ickyness be caused by a food?
there is a melanoma vaccine now
oh yeah - john cougar as ed grimly
Were can i sign up for that?
possibly, lady -- I am allergic to lots of foods. But more likely a stress-related disorder, and definitely a familial/genetic thing with me -- several generations of the family have trigeminal nerve problems
it's for melanoma patients herin - it doesn't prevent it
Speaking of melanoma.. I was watching the last part of the latest adaptation of 'Sense and Sensibility' on TV last week and noticed one of the young actresses had a really worrying trible dark mole on her back. I do hope she gets it checked out!
Need one that helps prevent it. I am covered in moles thats why i am pale as a ghost. Blonde hair and freckles are not a good mix
get yourself checked out herin on a regular basis
it is going through clinical trials right now for humans and it can be used as a preventative someday int he future. Right now it is working on canines
Canines and humans respond to melanoma much in the same way and there are over 20 people being tested on the vaccine
I do i stay out of the sun between 10 and 4 if i can help it
I agree with ren.. get a great dermatologist
me too. I am as white as can be
clue for te 6 21 please - having a blind spot with te's
te 6/21 is the te 5/12 + consonant that looks like a cross
sounds like a toyota car the TE****
there's anew sun screen that's made by neutrogena and it comes in 75 and 80 - that's what i use
sorry all, multitasking isn't working well tonight. Going to head out and be back tomorrow. (((everyone))) good luck and see you again soon!
80? that is called plaster
hubby gets on average 6-10 frozen each year, with two that are being watched for ab growth. Having an outdoor job and crohns doesn't help
hahah ru - believe it or note - it is very good - and not a paste!
OH Ren i need that
'Bye, stid.x
errrr that's not not note
Sunny does the work cover him for sunscreen and all that. Yoou know that is a tax write off

HI HK
do you have aclue for qu6,27
Speaking of melanoma - I must make appointment with doc to check out thingey on left arm that old doc was checking out yearly. It's skinned, scabbed and bled this week.:( I don't think it's supposed to do that.
it's ok herin- send nut an e-mail.
Haven't changed doc, btw. Old doc (not much older than me) retired, as he couldn't stand the computer interference in his surgery or the rest of the modern world crap.
He buys that much Herin I don't think it has occured to him to claim it. No Jac, it's not supposed to do that :)
because of my years in the caribbean and my fair skin - they check me 4 times a year
Oh yes der silly me. Um Nuts email. Goes looking now.
ok - time to go to sleep - i'll i'm you later herin
