snakes are only an issue when it is warm and i must say that as society wants to regulate more and more, there are less and less places to walk off leash. you need to be more concerned about the nasty cholla cactus which has reverse barbs (like a fish hook) that you dogs might get in.

i have rarely come across rattlesnakes in the wild and i have lived in the desert my whole life. i trail ride my horse through the desert (although one of them was bitten by a rattler once) and hike/play in what is a rapidly diminishing desert space around the city. rattlesnakes are quite good you see, they shake their booties to let you know that they are there.
but, I'm not too sold on NM...
THere is a great breakfast place across the street from the bookstore at UNM. Fabulous breakfast burritos!

interesting. i asked a friend of mine who is a detective with the sheriff's department how she managed dead bodies. she was quite matter of fact when she said that she didn't view them as bodies rather as "evidence". i don't mind fresh dead but the old ones from anatomy class were a bit much.

It really does peeve me, Hurshy. My kids are so into Scrabble since I've been playing it online. We have bought two of their board games in the last 6 months (travel version and deluxe), and I'm sure many more have done the same.
It has done more to generate interest in their products than anything THEY have done.
Re scrbulous, which I haven't played yet but wanted to -- it's not as if those greedy companies were offering the same thing -- an online game that could be played world-wide -- or are they?

we aren't paying the 923 per month for health insurance anymore, but we are now paying a 5,600 deductible so we can afford the premiums

We didn't go for private health because the output does not equal what you get back in benefits, but neither do we come under the social security scheme. So we pay for all our med expenses , and go public for hospital etc except for dental, and just get the govt rebate.
Actually, when a person dies, Social security pays out a death benefit that can cover the funeral expenses, for a pretty sad funeral or cremation but it covers it...
