Cheques are not used, money orders cost $25, wire transfers cost the recipient $14 and the sender even more, I'm told. and the postage is horrendous, so all that adds up to about the price of the book!

Callie is approaching the end of her life, I am afraid. She has lower spine arthritis, is dribbling pee, getting urine scald...I have to take care of her skin carefully. When she stops eating I will know that it is time to euthanize her. But she is still hopping around and eating.

i did the prettiest clear plate craft years ago - i found two lovely flowering pictures in magazines, and cut them out. Next i modgepodged eacch picture onto each different plate. When dried; i paited the back black. They turned out beautiful. what an easy project for such a fantastic outcome. if any of you don't know how to perform this craft, i will be more than happy to help you. in fact, i may make more. They really look nice on walls using plate hangers.
I am using Mod Podge too--great stuff.

If there are mets to the chest, is surgery necessary, or is it time to enjoy some time together
In his foot--cuneiforms. Initial though was aneurysmal bone cyst, but the CXR showed mets everywhere.
A histological dx will be made and then decisions will go from there. I am sure the oncologists will "try" chemo.
Are they going to amputate. It has been my experience that if there are multiple distant mets, then amputation is not a cure. They should go to disneyland and live a little.
No amputation--just a biopsy to establish the dx.
Does he have ANY chance for long-term survival?
Intelligent choice. Then they should think long and hard if chemo is the answer. So many times it just makes the last days misery rather tahn giving any chance of cure.
Once they grade the tumor they can decide, what protocol to follow, unfortunately too many times the family is looking for miracles instead of quality of life.
Here is what makes this even more tragic: in July 1998 the mom was pregnant with baby #3 and she was severely toxemic---> stat C-section to deliver a premie, then mom died. This family has already been devastated once.

I delivered them to the docs' office and then the hospital.
