the whole note was from the iwin guy!
except the beginning
well for me anyways......if it does come back...I will still babble and wordscape and d/l tv shows that I never watched and contintue with stuff I'm doing now
it will be good to have a choice

I think I've traded masters lol
can't do without my babble now
nope me neither
wish I could get jem over here
I know she'd like it
she's a stubborn one methinks, eh?
she has a new love in her life Buster the dog
well that's fine.....but an hour here won't be any diff than an hour at TW
she always played in the morning before starting her day
youll do 19 more puzzles at TW than here :)

this one was in the house when we bought it so not sure how old it is

any ideas for that bottom n in the middle row

last time we went on a cruise they had an area with computers set up I'll look funny in my nightgown
well if they have wireless you can just sit in bed at night and babble...heheh
bottom n....ni 5,10 and 6,18
wouldn't that be nice?
just gave an excellent clue for those
trying to get them to just get high speed internet...told thenm we'd pay the diff...not interested :(
the sun sand and surf will knock you out Dart....you'll be asleep before you can say......babble
dart if you could talk them into it they'd wonder why they didn't do it sooner
n clues at 2:01
yet they complain when someone sends them a big file or a pic
too bad they live in the MIDDLE of fla...no sand or beach lol
where exactly?
there's always Disney
if you ever watch
keep hitting the damn enter instead of the shift key...lol
actually I hate to admit it but these days, I prefer the pool to sand and beach
we'll be up in Maine for 2 months when we get back and we've already arranged for DSL
the modem came today
PGA golf...they live in "The Villages"...a retirement community an hour NW of orlando...have a lot of commercials on the TV during golf tourneys
lol westie nice planning!
I know the Villages most of the summer Maine people live there in the winter
he has to have it works from home
it is growing very fast
well we don't have the same golf channel (which I don't subscribe to) as you yanks do..
I think we get it automatically I've never watched it
its not on the "golf Channel"...on network TV... i know yours are diff up there :)
but I know fla...my mother lived there for the few last years of her life plus been all over the state
no it's a cable channel....
Has the golf channel been keeping the nooses tucked away?

wow eat and run spritey hope you're okay
do you get the golf tournays on cbs nbc etc just1?
tourneys
(told you them 2 would finish before me)
:-)
but they are champeens
yes for sure......we get nbc out of plattsburgh NY ....cbs and abc from burlington vermont
have to keep in shape for tangleword
and fox is out of vermont too I think
If you start a grid and don't get fireworks is there a penalty?
i hope not west!
watch for those commercials...they have pretty sappy music...hard to miss lol
nope westie....just your own guilty conscience
well dart.....if a canadian station it showing the same show as one of the US stations....they'll cut off the us feed and show it on both channel as the canadian feed
that way we HAVE to watch the canadian commercials
eg at Superbowl......we NEVER see those wonderful commercials :(
it would be on the ones out of NY or VT
never thought I would see the day commercials were described as wonderful
yes champeens and non-talkative during babble action
going now, may be back later, good luck all!
go online. . there is a site that has all the comms. from the last so many years
well I supposedly think they're wonderful cause I never get to see them babrab
cya, MVA
and usually I'm in Mexico at that time so I only see spanish ones if I'm even watching :D
wht happened to the Grey Cup? lol
I last turned on my tv about 7.5 years ago
is it still alive babrab?
they cleaned it up and now it is the white cup
lol
I lend an ear to the Grey Cup Dart!
Not really a football fan but they say Canadian football is so much more fun and interesting than the NFL
hockey...hockey :)
ah football was interesting until the superbowl
only called the Grey cup babrab cause I think it was named after Lord Grey (whoever the hell he was/is)
not the tea guy?
Just like the Stanely Cup was named after Lord Stanely...(whoever the hell he was) lol
no west Lord Grey not Earl Grey sheesh :D
clearly a pats fan, west?
there should be a babble cup
same difference to us Yanks
they broke our hears kje
there should be a babblerabble cup...we then can nickname it the white cup!
our friend's son is a tried and true Cowboys fan
he lives in hope every year
the best band in the world just sang the national anthems at a habs game in montreal...then did a private party for bob Gainey who had his jersey retired that night in montreal
he's had a lot of disappointment recently then : )
who are they dart?
oh really who?
great big sea...from eastern canada ( newfoundland) :-)
poor Bob...he's had such tragedy in his life :(
Bob Gainey requested them to do it
good name
figured as much Dart (wink)
as good as Ossie's guys?
his daughter disappeared on a boating trip and was never found i believe

she was a like a student crew(wo)man on a ship...she went on deck but wasn't on duty. She didn't strap herself to the deck
ummm not sure dart...what is that?
great big sea
like a tsumami
well then I think so yes !
they have a hockey song "helmethead" one verse partly in french
it was a very sad happening
don't think I've heard of or heard that before dart
I thought those were the lyrics to a song just left for a minute to look up GBS
the boys are off tonight
I'm a fairweather fan......if they do good I wanna know. If they don't, well they're a bunch of bums and I don't wanna know!
GBS do polkas and waltzes, dart?
when jilli said "fair thee well" last night...that is one of the chorus lines in helmethead lol
Gilbert and Sullivan?
I like folk rock very much I'll have to give them a listen
they just celebrated heir 15th birthday on st patricks day....they do a big variety of songs
their
eclectic is my name

I can do without opera and chamber music westie! heheh
I like some

sound great
sounds a bit like sing along with mitch

well at least liberace was somewhat of a showman but Lawrence....yikes ain't my cuppa
alway's love Jackie Gleason's music tho....
the Lennon Sisters were cute
and his humour
what humor?
come to think of it all we had to watch were variety shows
the Jackie Gleason show...westie??? Joe the Bartender and all his characters
loved the Honeymooners too
and of course the oldies with norton and alice
he died waayyy to young
my cousin's granddaughter just had a baby and named him Norton
it's a family name but we cracked up
well edward norton and the norton commando roadster (motorbike) were famous
true but all we could picture was the guy who worked in the sewer
not that many good character actors around anymore
hey hey hey ralphie boy!
yes lol
but he was ahead of his time with his white t shirt and vest!
gonna head to bed...morn shifts the next few days... nite just1 west all

comes a time, west...
Mrs. Obbly Doobly had a square cut punt. Not a cut punt square but a square cut punt. It was round in the middle and square in the front Mrs. Obbly Doobly had a square cut punt.
You'd want to be terribly, terribly careful with that, BabRab...
ty ty....the video is soooooo funny today ......tears rolling down my eyes
I just HAVE to organise myself to get expert...
it's an excerpt from the Ellen show....she's so funny
I have video envy...
I'll see it in about 2 months what's it called?
she is
Big grin west..
punt: noun: an open flat-bottomed boat used in shallow waters and propelled by a long pole
the exercise chair lolol
Elbow, BR?
methinks babrab has gone over the deep edge ekkkk
So did you have a good anniversary, Just?
mmmm not really Jand...had a fight with hubby! (after 29 years what else is new?!)
anyone need/want clues?
Uh oh..... that's not exactly what you were looking for in a specially occasion...
not yet thanks though
well on sunday evening when my son and his gf came over with a nice bottle of champagne that was a wonderful evening
Me neither, Just, since I just started... I like to maintain the pretence that I can do this thing!!
we had a fight about the fact that he never tells me anything..then tries to pull a gaslight on me by swearing he told me
which is full of sh** cause I have an incurable memory
phantom: Weltanschauung
Uh oh.... this is sounding just like home!
I remember EVERYTHING.... it's not just my arse that is like an elephant's!!
sounds familiar
they really think they said it
They do... but we know better!!
we are women hear us roar
oh good, another male bashing session ... time to leave
don't take it personally bab
Not at all, BR, this is memory specific, not gender specific!!
I have male friends who have good memories.. I just didn't marry one of them!

I actually liked my mother in law but she lived far far away
cause I sure as hell ain't like his mother (although she is a sweet lady) but she's perfect you see......and I ..well I'm not perfect
I think it was their generation
I don't run around all day long cleaning up his mess!
my mother is 91 and she still caters to my brother

I don't like being the sandwich generation
I've really been enjoying not being in this conversation, but I can't figure out for the life of me what words start with the a in the second row, and the bottom 2 n's...

Not insulting anyone, Just, fronthandedly or otherwise, just knowing that silence is sometimes a beautiful thing...
it was her anniversary and they had a fight so tried to commiserate
and didn't think you were insulting
That's good...
What's one of the two words from the n in the fourth row?
French no plus a vowel
And plural
I gave that to you when you first asked doug guess you didn't see it
hi haz
Good morning westford - and everyone.
Thanks haz...
You're welcome, Douglas.
So it would seem, west...
loading sixteen...
as long as you have it now
I'm stuck on the first 2 cr's
One of the Two Ronnies is in the grid...but which one?
cr5/12 and its plural - similar structure to french brother, but using different vowel in the middle.
thanks I'll work it
Ronnie Barker was a genius - I don't think it was fully realised by the public that he wrote so much of the material.
got them thanks haz
That's good, westford.
This is a family game, some es6 that es6 right out of here, before a politician gets a hold of her...
And that goes for the whole lot of them...
morning!
Oops, *somebody* instead of some...
Hello pinkhatlil
hello Douglas
Good morning pink.
Hello Haz!
hi pink
hi west
Are any UK Babblers participating in the Times Crossword Championship in Cheltenham?
I don't know, Douglas.
no douglas, im not
It was suggested to me that Peter Biddlecombe, last year's winner, get an automatic invite to the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament...
And it was great writing a blog post with the title "Cheltenham Chosen For Championship"
What are the qualifications for entry to the American one?
I believe you just have to pay an entry fee and show up, Haz
So, no qualifying stages or anything?
Tyler Hinman, the winner of the American tournament, doesn't think he can do cryptics at competition speed yet...
No, there were over 200 people showing up for the first time this year...
In that case, why not invite the British winner? I had wondered if some of the other entrants might feel resentment at someone coming from the outside, but if it's just a case of hand over the money - let them feel they are competing internationally.
I have a beautiful dream, a dream of a bi-national, bi-continental crossword competition
And it would be very civilised, as long as you establish rules ahead of time about what spellings are acceptable. Would there be cultural differences in the cryptic clues?
Of course! That would make it all the more interesting!
What is the prize? Or is the glory enough?
I'll trade you a Seinfeld reference for an AbFab reference!
I wouldn't be great on either! Frasier is more my style.
Hmm...that's the tricky part...There should be a prize...need sponsors...
I reckon a shiny little trophy and the glory would be enough.
clue for the 8 plz
It might be for some...
re8/65 - when the beauty contest is declared invalid and the second placed one gets the prize?
Douglas, if they enter the competition knowing ahead of time that there's no really big prize, there can be no complaining. Or do you think the talented ones won't turn up?
ty haz
You're welcome.
The number of people showing up at ACPT has been a turn-off for some people...I've heard that Jon Deflin is pretty good at cryptics...I'm not sure there are very many who are really good at both kinds...I do know that the glory is a great motivator for crossword enthusiasts
Orson Bean is in the grid...
That had nothing to do with anything in particular
Is there any provision for an audience to see what is going on? Or is that a really silly question?
Windows says my network signal strength is very low...
Having an audience see the solvers solve in real time would be a great part of the fun!
They do that in the final round of ACPT, where the finalists where headsets, noise blockers, and solve on large whiteboards
It's probably possible to have all sorts of technical things going on, but it would probably cost a fortune.
In my mind's eye, I'm seeing a website, where visitors can see the solvers solve in real time through some sort of applet, with a furious chat going on at the same time that the solvers can't see...
But when you hear about it Haz, remember you heard it here first...
The mind's eye costs nothing!
Oh I will, Douglas, I will.
True...but that's why we need sponsors, to finance the internet connections, etc.
Most competitive sports trade on the good looks of some of the contestants for advertising etc. Are the crossword people decorative?
On an unrelated note, I'm past halfway, so I'm declaring moral victory, and going to sleep, and dream my beautiful dream...
Well done on your moral victory and sleep well. Good night, Douglas.
I take it you haven't seen the movie Wordplay...
I think I've seen trailers. Point taken.
None of the American crossword stars are particularly decorative...neither is Peter Biddlecombe
...but that's not the point...
There's bound to be a decorative crossworder somewhere. Still, sleep well!
Variety magazine said Wordplay had a great screen kiss in it...
Goodnight Haz, and all...
Ah well. I've just googled Peter Biddlecombe. He looks harmless.

YAY MELISSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Looking up the meaning as we speak...
Thanks a lot guys. :) Anyone need help before I toddle off to bed?
yes mel it comes up now and again. I have search deep within the brain to recall it...well done gurly ^5!!
Hm.... the sum of 10 million, especially rupees, in India.... how intriguing!
I tend to forget currencies, seeing as I have so little experience of them.
Hi people.
Hi Scrabbler! How you doing?
Do you mean all money, mm, or just international ones?
Good day Scrabbler. And if no one needs clues, good night everyone else!
i hear that mel...scrabbler! *hugs*
(((scrabbs)))
Jandy--I need a dream interpretation. What does it mean when I find money in my dreams? Like finding big bills and grabbing them up. I will offer free medical advice in return for your expert interpretation.
I think ardilla went to sleep on her keyboard....
*hug*
i think ardilla was banging against keyboard
Good night melissa!
Ardilla, are you OK?
Right, Scrabs... thinking, thinking.....
nighty night mel, sleep well!
Thanks Jandy, take care all!
sorry about that thought i was pushing shift key not enter *blush*
Come on, Jandy, I expect you to use some big words, like richness of my soul, transcendental wealth, etc.
Scrabbler, it would be tempting to say you are going to win the lottery and should start buying tickets immediately, BUT I fear not....
I will give you two interpretations and you can choose the most appropriate for you at this time
Uh, oh, one of the bunnies, I think Sebastian, is thumping upstairs. I wonder what is going on.
right im guessing no one needs clues so im off, good day/evening everyone!! *hugs*
good morning everyone. Could someone help me out with that bottom "n" that is driving me crazy. I have the feelings its a fish.
Oh, that's good, jandy: giving the client 2 choices. You are getting good at this.
Good night pink! Talk soon!!!
Bye Pink
bye pink & melissa hi eva & jandy
hi ardilla
ni + ***smoking seating in a restaurant
Okay, Scrabbler.... The first possibility is that you are going through a period of your life where you feel the strain of many demands on you, and where you feel you need to be replenished in some way. In this instance, the money represents not cash, but security, peace, and a guarantee of the resources you need to continue supporting and giving to others...
bless you ardilla! That must be the one combo I hadn't tried
I do this everyday here: type in a word, get rejected, ask how it cannot "be a word" then realize it is a phantom. Silly Scrabbler!
yw eva someone clued it earlier :)
Yes, yes, Jandy!!! Go on, please.
mi6/7 combo small fish or gillian's boat
The second interpretation could be that you are going through a period of awareness, concious or not, of your own good fortune and relative wealth and security. You already feel well resourced, secure and blessed and you are revelling in that...
co6/7 combo longneck beer served with a lime
That second might be particularly relevant if you have been dealing with close friends or relatives who do not have your resources...
Wow, Jandy! Both are quite meaningful to me! TY!
Oooh.. thanks ardilla... I know beer!
es6/7 combo ford es**** stationwagon or es****service for guys who pay for dates
yw jandy
Here is another meaning: my taxes are due April 15th and I will come up short. I really NEED to find money right now. But I have had the money-finding dream frequently over the years.
Way too prosaic and literal, Scrabs... anyone could work that out! LOL!!!
evening all :)
I do find pennies all of the time.
Hi mrp! How the heck are you?
(((mrp))) how are you?
morning mrp!
bloody marvellous!
Hi mrp. I like your sun icon.
Now Scrabs, for the free medical advice...
Well, Jandy, I am not insightful like you, a trained dream interpretation professional.
thanks! am going to do more like it
Go ahead, Jandy.
Having a TAH in two weeks.... need to decide whether to include a BSO (assume you use the same nomenclature). I am leaning away from a BSO.... thinking that I might have to get rid of the dress, but there is nothing wrong with the perfectly good pair of shoes that go with it! Your thoughts?
And thanks for the acknowledgement, I have been interpreting dreams since.... oh, let's see.... last weekend!
How's your site looking with your line out, mrp? Healing up at all?
I had a TAH at age 41 (massive fibroids) then a BSO at 43 due to a large ovarian cyst and a peritoneal cyst. I was and still am relieved to have those ovaries gone as the specter (?spector) of ovarian cancer is SO frightening to me.
How old are you, Jandy?
110 today....
You are not 110 years old!
110 ! wow jandy happy birthday
But nearly 50 in real life. But I had a DVT last year (travelling) so can never have HRT (though I would have only used it as a last option)
I decided years ago that we3
rats
It is my sister's birthday today. Is it really yours today too?
That we're all stupid lying about our age in a downward direction... would be a really well-preserved 58 year old!
No Scrabs... I will be 50 on June 14th... so I will save the happy birthday till then, thanks knitter!!!
I am now 48, never took HRT and never plan to. I take vit D with calcium and get a lot of exercise.
Got no family history of breast or ovarian cancer... that would make the decision easy for me... but I have an intellectual aversion to the removal of healthy tissue
My great fears, health-wise, are ovarian cancer, breast cancer and cardiac disease. I was so relieved to have the ovaries gone! Ovarian cancer is typically diagnosed at a late stage as symptoms are vague.
Well, I had my tonsils and adenoids removed as a kid, asked the doc to remove my appendix while he was in there digging out my uterus, lost my gall bladder along the way, and then my ovaries too. I don't miss any of those parts.
And that would be the big reason to do it, I know. I also get hormone related migraines, which I think would be helped by Whipping Them Out. And yet, for reasons I don't really understand, I would like to keep them... and I'm not generally a hoarder, LOL!
re7/8 combo to make someone a king again
happy birthday, scrabb's sis!
LOL, Scrabbler... I certainly do NOT miss my gallbladder!
Also, my chronic depression disppeared after getting those ovaries out. I just have felt great! I still get migraines but mine have never been hormone-related.
How are you feeling, ardilla? Been doing any more episodes of Korea On Crutches?
Okay... will have to reconsider. I know most gyns would advise removal... but most gyns are also middleaged men...
my adventures are getting less adventurous as people are making me sit down and stay in place more now
Is it the idea of saying good-bye to the eggs, the ones we are born with?
I am delighted to hear it, pet! You sounded like you had really overdone it the other day... I was quite worried about you!
today my lunch was brought in to me and i didn't leave my floor until time to go home
I never had or wanted kids so I never needed that silly uterus or ovaries--nothing but trouble for me.
Nah... I'm not sentimental at all! I think my bias is just toward changing as little as possible in your biology
yeah, i was exhausted today i'm just tired
Oh ardilla, that's sounding SO much better! How's your turtly friend?
http://www.drnorthrup.com/ This doc has lots to say about women's health, but I don't know her stance on ovary removal.
she's okay, just a little butt right now and hissing when i pour some water on her to keep her hydrated
Haha, Ardilla.
I didn't know I had really serious anaemia, Scrabs... and now I'm really run down and my stored iron is zip.. so I'm really very happy about the TAH now that the decision is made. We followed the recommended treatment path (I have been a sales manager for women's health surgical products for the past two years) and I'm happy we explored all other non-surgical possibilities
Are you sure the hissing isn't cuz she is hot and the water is cold? :)
she's being too difficult and squirmy for me to pick her up and give her a bath :(
A little turtle butt! Hee hee...
LOL Uni.... thanks for the mental picture!
I thought that too, Uniquity.
Thank heavens somebody else had the mental image of a steaming turtle...
so what's up with the bottom N's? i can't figure 'em
turtle butts! turtle tails are cute! and hi :)
Steam and spitting on turtle shell.... surprised little turtle face...
hello everyone
Well, I have to get ready for work. Just a 5 hr shift today, then I will return here. Jandy, e-mail me if you like.
Hi lynxxx!

G'd morning Babblers

Haha, boy am I really stupid now.
hi ata & lori
Hi Lori!
Hi LoriP
Hi Lori!
and hi lori :)
There was no need to admit that I didn't see it. I should have waited for a clue. Silly Scrabbler. I have to remind myself to avoid public humiliation.
what's the 8? st? tr? re?
Morning Lori
re hursh
re
G'd mornign #1 :-)
I must get ready for work. Waaah. BBL
Strange thing, chat rooms... anonymous yet intimate...
aha canadians are here. I have a contentious question for you, lori and uni
hi lynxxx
thanks got it!
Okay Ata, shoot! ***Uni did it**** :-)
Bye really Scrabbler! At least it's a short one
Morning Lori...When I think it in my head it keeps coming out as Morning Glory
the re7/8 combo is to make someone a king again
every day in the news here we are getting pictures of baby seals with big eyes being clubbed to death. what do real canadians think about the seal hunts?
LOL, no glory here.
co6/7 combo longneck beer served with a lime
Oh excellent question, Ata, we were discussing that here on the weekend@
es6/7 combo ford es**** stationwagon or es**** service for guys who pay for dates
mi6/7 combo little fish or gillian's boat
Righto... I must away! 35 to go which I will finish tomorrow. Good night, one and all! Be good little chickens now!
TY Jandy. I'm sure there would be less fuss about it if seals didn't have big eyes ...
bye jandy hagd
wi 6/7 combination rhymes with little fish...
bye jandy
Uni students in exam/paper period don't think about it at all...but they do laugh at the irony of a seal boat sinking recently and are glad that someone is at least pretending to enforce less...disturbing methods of killing. I have a dislike for hunting at all though, so...
Real Canadians are as divided as everyone else, IMO. The problem is, baby seals are cute, so, that somehow makes it even more wronger. :) We live in an overly aware PC time, and it's just not popular, 'specially with the anti fur movement. If baby seals were ugly, it'd be a lot less contentious.
ty jandy didn't know that was a word
Personally, I'm against it... Then again, we kill lambs and other cute animals and other not so cute animals
hi uni
Well actually, ata, we were discussing how many fricking seals there would be if they DIDN'T do it, given how many they kill... not that I am supporting it, in the particular way it was done...
something to do with grain and harvesting, ardilla...
G'd night Jandy, sleep tight!
But if they stop it, I think they'll have to start having Family Planning Clinics for Seals!
there would be miiiillllions of them. We have the same issue with culling deer here. They have the Cute Factor
I don't think I could be against keeping any animal population down...if we don't do it, sharks will have to step up to the plate? Oh dear, bad joke..
Hmmm..... Bambi..... yes....
But does the seal hunt actually help Canada? Profitwise? Or just the tiny region involved?
I take ti we don't have any vegetarians on right now!
Now, the connection to depleted fish stocks and seals is a point that's only valid to a degree. The population does need to be maintained, but the destruction of the fishery, can be laid squarely at the door of draggers and raped and pillaged seabeds.
I've never gotten any dead baby seal money..
and we are currently having the same issue with a kangaroo cull
Grin, Uni, will see what we can do! Lots of sharks die in the nets protecting the swimming beaches here, but only the real animal activists get too excited about that
Is it a general rule that those who are least affected by animal issues are the loudest in condemnation of those who are?
fireworks for me. no unfinished business for after work tonight...
Ata, it's an economic necessity, for lack of a better word, to the areas involved. Geographically specific.
woot angel
Exactly, lynxxx.... they are in plague proportions in Canberra at the moment.... culling via road kill, which is terrible!
oh poo, don't blame the poor seals for fish! there is only so many fish a seal can eat LOL as you say. Fisheries models screwed the fishing business many years ago. And I;m not getting started on that topic cos I know too much about it
YAY ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
congrats Angel !
Congrats Angel!
absolutely, HAz
The profits are very limited, as far as I know. And may of the areas were offered different industries and refused.
*smug* - endorsement from the smuggest.
I think so, Haz
That's my point Ata, it's factor, but so much BS that should only carry so much weight.
if its really an economic necessity, I have little issue with it. Its when it isn't, and the animals are killed anyway that I get annoyed. Its like Inuit whale hunting. No-one complains about their small take of whales each year that are necessary for their survival
i dunno, i'm not affected and i haven't said a word :)
I think it might be the METHOD of the seal killing which should be the issue... cute or not, they wouldn't let it happen in an abbatoir..
absolutely, Lori. People just like shoving fisheries responsibilities away from them and onto the "natural world"
Grin, hurshy.... and now you've gone and done it!
nuh-uh, i still didn't say an opinion
Abattoir, maybe... the double b just didn't look right!
I always assumed the issue was the method, not the actual killing...except from a PETA point of view. But what..are you going to shoot a seal?
good point, jandy. does anyone know *why* they use clubs and not anything more humane looking?
In NFLD Laborador, unemployment hovers at 18%, it's a poor province. The seal hunt is much needed economics.
True, very true!
Pity you don't know very much about simple 4-letter words beginning with in, your appalling smugness
They just made new rules about the killing and it'
I am above 4 letter words. Or something. LOL
The PETA folks are insane. Ata, you seem to have a good handle on it. Very informed.
it's methods...they are supposed to be making it more human
es6/7 es + raven like bird
the joy of spending a year studying fisheries models!
hi zen
let them eat four letter words!
*humane. Come on..
That's what was in the paper here on the weekend, Uni. Still seems a bit harsh... but I am a sucker for anything with big brown eyes. That's how I got married...
nearly all of my last year at uni was fisheries and fisheries modelling and fisheries economics
lol Jandy
And now there are days I could cheerfully club HIM to death!
looool jandy
hi ardilla, what you doing in Korea?
Watch out or we will have to see big cute bunny eyes and bambi eyes and moose eyes (lol) and feel bad about that too. I have never eaten or worn a seal, nor have I killed one. Same for bambis (well, i ate deer once) and bunnies
and then she ends up addicted to a game where we hit ourselves with fish... it's some sort of a complex.
seal tastes horrid. you don't want to!
As an aside, some folks may find poetic justice in the drowning of those sealers, but the Ice Breaker towing them, should never have left men aboard, and it was outrageous how they conducted the tow.
Right, no more shenanigans... I'm gone, though this is a very interesting discussion and, as lynxxx says, we are working on the same issues here with Skippy! I guess it's all about balance, like the answer to everything else. Or reservoirs!
it is poetic justice, but its still loss of life and they still leave grieving wives and kids. I hope they get justice too
well, listed it for the last 7, and the results were: 2 fish, 3 words that i must have typed too fast before so they didn't go, 1 latin plural, and ts6.
(and thank you all for being so fab to be able to discuss these contentious issues in harmony and interest!)
Where's the outrage for 10's of thousands of chicks and chicken whose entire existance is in a 2x2 wire cage? Chickens aren't cute, and KFC needs product, right?
2 real fish, or fishy fish?
fishy fish
Lori! There are already more chickens than humans!!! We need to eat them!!
the cute the animal, the more people are outraged. the exception are whales, which aren't cute
Sleep tight (again :-)) Jandy. ***Babble is powerful***
i'm outraged about the chickens' living conditions, i just dunno what i can do about it.
Also, I have been yelled at by many vegetarians because KFC is cruel. I don't eat it, but it's still my fault?
whales are not cute but they're majestic. and, star trek 4.
Yes Uni.
there were whales in star wars? related to jabba?
i mean nobody wants THAT to happen.
I think whales are cute..except when they wash up dead on the beaches
:P
I see a lot of hypocricy in these issues, thus my utter contempt for PETA
yes, Uni. We blame you for KFC. absolutely
Ooh, Uni. that is nasty. Remember the one we had.
PETA is worse than the people farming the animals
did you see that story a week or two ago about the dolphin that rescued some stranded baby whales? so cool.
oh yes! dolphins are *so* clever
according to my teen son PETA stands for people eating tasty animals (groan)
I remember...it stunk. Why am I being blamed? Isn't that FMs job.... *check's list of absolutel rightness* Yup! I am right, FM is blamed. Next order of business?
I agree Ata. Indeed, dolphins are absolutely fascinating.
Morning all.....my son has a t-shirt that says PETA on the front...the back says "People Enjoy Tasty Animals"...of course he's afraid to wear it in public.
the whales were in some sort of shallow harbor or whatever and kept beaching themselves and couldn't figure how to get out, and people spent quite a while trying to help and having no success, and then this dolphin showed up and guided them in a deep channel back out to sea.
ok. FM is officially blamed for KFC. We shall inform her of such
anyone have the first na word?
Yay dolphins! The lassie of the sea...
Hi Chiley
aknitter - indian bread
lurking..have to weigh in on PETA... I worked in an animal research lab during university...we had been attacked a few times by PETA raids....we got ahol dof a handbook...in it...it CLEARLY states in their rules that to participate on any raid/ demonstration...the member MUST have proof of Tetanus immunization...may I ask WHERE we got the knowledge for teteanus immunizations?
I say what we need is more cans of tuna fre dolphin!

G'd morning chiley, knitter, carlee, anyone I missed
Aknitter, the word reads smae backwards as forwards. (Palindrome??)
back to lurking..i don't exist today
akntter - anagram of na4.4 abbrev for grandmother
good morning babblers
PETA firebombed the labs at university
taxing brain cells now ... thiniking
Yes Uni, less than a mile from the house the dead whale was, and gamey certainly understates it......
yes, you do carlee!
palindrome yes
hi/bye carlee
knitter, don't say taxing brain cells, the IRS will get ideas.... :-)
woot! found it ty
if a number is not a palindrome, reverse the digits and add to the original. if you haven't got a palindrome, do it again. after two or three iterations you will have one
i wonder what tax bracket my brain would be in LOL
oh - carlee - I just worked out what you were saying. Sorry. I was thinking about it. Yes .... says it all
i got it carlee :)
This fascinating conversation (and surprisingly, not yet an argument), made me burn my bacon. :(
thats cos hurshy is clever
knitter, definitely you'd be taxed in the highest bracket. :-)
bacon! gasp! from a cute little piggy
seal bacon?
bacon is the perfect food. It should be in its own group. Besides, pigs are ugly, so it's okay.
today LoriP i think i am in the lowest percentile - not firing on all cylinders yet... must get cafeine
Piggies are cute...from afar.
especially the pig in my icon
i think pigs are cute
and they ae smart too
***Hnads knitter an espresso***
ty Lori i need that
pigs are very smart. If they were cute too, we prob'ally wouldn't eat 'em.
oink oink
ahh todays news ... a convicted murderer wants the state to pay for his sex change operation. thinks he is entitled to it
The video made me laugh soooo hard. I thought I'd seen all the infomercial products, but I hadn't seen this one. Hysterical! I love infomercials. Highly entertaining.
ohhhh now I want to be able to see the vid
Thank You Nono for that video! It's quite the workout......
Gives a whole new meaning to exercise, IMO
yes today's video is very funny
my co-workers just came in to see what I was laughing at.....hilarious video!
My abs and buttocks firmed up, just from the excessive laughter. :-)
can someone post the youtube link?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHiqVyg N-w0
TY chiley!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHiqVyg N-w0
well now you can watch it twice LOL
that is FAB!
It is the most awesome device ever. i want one.
popping in - Wow - Great to hear you all loved that one from ... who was it from ?
Nono's brilliance Lickety. ***bows in homage to the creator of THE list*** :-) G'd morning!
add this to the list lickety: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPruPDh Xas4 another ellen youtube vid
Ha yeah - I've seen that one before - funny one. Thought it might have been a repeat - but hey - added it anyway. Thanks Ata
I forgot how awesomt he Hawaian chair looked...thank heavens that Ellen did that...
did people actually *buy* that?
morning all! bottom row done :-)
hi everyone. I came in earlier, but had to go see the video for the hawaii chair. Hilarious!
any clues for the 8?
Ooo! A UK man!
aye
wow, thats unusual
is it?
there must be a few
he's not the only one here
pretty much. there aren't many
re7.48 & 8.65 this won't happen to your Liz as she won't give up the throne
oooohhhh thats a toughy
shouldn't that be de*****?!
thanks for the clue lynxx
maybe she does it twice?
but if she doesn't give it up, she can't get it back - ?! agreed, silly
well she must take it off each night and put it on again in the morning lol
haha
unless charles pinches it to try it on for size
nothing's going to fall down over *his* ears
morning all my america buddies, and afternoon to everyone else
F.A. Cup head
morning gwen!
is Charles still to become King? what was the deal with this marriage - or does she not become a Queen....or maybe does it even pass direct to his son?
Hi Gwen
well. yes. and Camilla becomes Princess COnsort or something like that
i hope not unless he remarries someone a bit nicer
she won't become Queen, anyway. Not at the moment.
and hello to lynx those of you in the evening time period as well!
Princess Consort - sounds a bit smutty doesn't it. What unfortunate lives those royals have.
hmmmm, where did everyone go?
shame she looks like Dame Edna
awww thats mean
mean but true
at least she's nicer than Diana
and the personal relations of members of the royal family matter because . . . ?
we like gossiping LOL
re7 and 8, book
oh, yeah, i forgot about that. OY!
of interest just as much as the personal lives of any countries leaders ( although in this case a notional leader)
I used to work with Charles for many years and i would not say a bad word against him, his wfe is another matter
and we haven't got Bush to put down :P
no, no, atalante, you can put bush down all you want! LOL
LOL of course, but he's not *ours* to put down
if he says he's the leader of the free world then you can chew him a new one, dear
*ponders the tautology of a leader in a free world*
GM all - fascinating icon, boob, what is it?
Bush didn't say that did he!
that was suppose to be book, not boob
of course not, it would contain a word with more than 1 syllable
Hi kje - thank goodness
lol Ata
kje, it's a Dalek. as my profile says, the coolest bad guys from the best tv show every made 8-)
Daleks are fab
restarts this weekend?
lynx, the leader of the free world is an apithet given to us presidents since the cold war
I went to Earls Court and saw the Dr Who exhibition
aaaah - didn't read down far enough : )
helmet, okay, jealousy here 8-)
me too
£9 for an adult and over 100 props from series 1-4
and I saw a really old exhibition *years* ago in Chislehurst Caves, where they filmed a lot of the old series
drolling, sorry!
drooling, too!
i saw a wax model of the 4th doctor at madame tousseau's (sp??), which was not that exciting in comparision, i expect
Get down to Earls Court then
clue for ts word?
i would but i would have to fly to the british isles first (please ignore the flag, I'm in michigan)
(she's not in wales really)
t + so 5/10 and hello everyone!
Hi AnnieB!

it'll take sysop and net op but not admin? silly game!
nighty night lynx
morning, new here and wondering what the list is
st 5/18, please
hi mimi, we have a play who puts up a clue list every day
gn lynxx
You can get lots of clues: click on the tiny green link at the bottom for Lickety's Babble Clues Lickety gives you the first two letters of each word, plus how many letters in the word, plus the word's point value The point value sometimes helps you figure out if you need a word with a high-scoring letter in it, and things like that
st + what you do with oars
mimi, scroll down to Lickety Babble Clues, gives you the first two letters of every word
and past tense too
s + tr4/8
thanks book....appreciate it
and Annie too!
hey no prob 8-D
always willing to help a pre-addict LOL
thank you, Une, kje, Ata
Gwen, did you say you're in Michigan?
yw annie :-)
hey annie's in the grid
yep, luv
I live in Michigan, where are you?
So I am...love it
I'm about 50 miles northwest of Detroit, north of Ann Arbor
do the palm thing book, I always think it's funny when people from michigan hold up their hand to show you where theor from : )
luv, i'm in farmington -- click on my icon to read my profilt
lol yep, nice to have that portable map
palm thing?
my daughter will be in Ann Arbor this fall--just got an assistantship yesterday!
my husband works in farmington
i'm from **right here** see? (we can make maps of all 50 states with our hands, actually. only michiganders can do that LOL)
michigan looks like your right palm
atalante, michigan natives hold up their hands and point, it's a map of michigan
ann arbor - zingerman's - make sure she goes to zingerman's 1st thing une!
looks like a hand to me! :P *wanders off to find a map of michigan to compare*
i love making a map of florida. one pinky 8-)
LOL book
congratulations to your daughter, Une..how wonderful for her
thanks, annie--this will be her SECOND master's-- LOL
ann arbor is very nice. pretty clean for an america city, ha!
studying what une?
and on a friday night you can walk down the street and smell the pot fumes
Library science this time around
so I'm sure all the michiganians are dealing with the Detroit mayor scandal
LOL book
i thought it was michiganders
can be either, lest sexist to say michiganian
no, i am ignoring the detroit mayor scandal. except my weds night group has a follower, so i can't help getting an earful once a week 8-)
oh, okay
yes, wish it would go away and him along with it
michigander is not sexist. it's -er added to michigan, with a d thrown in for sonority.
oooo I might be flying over michigan in 2 weeks
2 left - both s's -
its the gander
but about 20 years ago the mich legislature passed some kind of edict that we are no longer michiganders but michiganians. which no one follows, so we are still michiganders, ha!
7 left and am hitting my head against the brick wall
well I say sexist because gander refers to a male goose is all
oh, don't do that, annie! LOL
luv, you can't make it go away -- turn off your tv!
i like the sound of michiganders
yes annie - mine is starting to get a huge bump right in the middle of my forehead!
rather be a michigander than a liverpudlian. that sounds painful!
cuz I'm pretty sure these 2 words are gonna be a "duh" once found but are eluding me!
liverpulian sounds like an illness
Une,we live in NOrthville, only 17 miles from Ann Arbor. If your daughter likes plants, my husband tends to the bromeliads in the Matthei Botanical Garden of the U of M. he is there every Tuesday morning, if she wants an inside tour
michigan means beautiful water. so does ohio. and ontario. it's a great name, yes?
inge, how do?
oh, thank you, inge, definitely sounds like something she'd enjoy!!
hello inge
oh inge, I've been to those botanical gardens, they were my escape when I lived in a little house in a subdivison years ago
so nice to walk the grounds and get away and the greenhouses are full of beautiful plants
I am doing babble every morning, just don't chat much. What department is she with, UNe?
Fireworks!!!
yay for kje!!!!

By the way Une, does your daughter like classical music, like by the Detroit Symphony? I am working there tonight for Leonard Slatkins first open rehearsal. Just a lowly Front of Hall creature, but don't want to miss his debut
now *poof* for usre
She's still in Maryland, Inge, but she has pretty eclectic tastes in music :-)
wow, i greyed out a tile at last! LOL
where in MD une? I just moved from Baltimore

nm- got them. weird words.
A penalty for over-paying? What kind of messed up shi*t is that?
A penalty for over-paying? Bl**dy Hell, Carlee, you just can't win!
no wonder you are upset, carlee.. I would document this fiasco.. dates, actions, etc... and try to take it to the highest authority
Meanwhile, your credit rating is probably taking a beating. Ditto to what Aloy suggests. Go to the top and stop talking to the flunkies.
i am SO beyond wanting to take it to next level..cus i am BLOODY FED UP WITH THIS SH*T I just want it all to go away
Totally understandable, Carlee. Six months is WAAAAY too long to be going round with an insurance co. Is there some board or oversight agency you can report them to? Some ins. cos have been known to stonewall just to save money. Rat out the rats, I say.
i agree, Judi.. they can wear you down.. don't let em do that, carlee
Whoops. Work intrudes. Later, all. Good luck, Carlee. Give them hell!

um, we usually get about 3-4 rounds of snow each winter, that is about enough for me. It is fun to play it for a bit. We are headed to Arizona next week so that will help get me in the mood for warmer weather :)
myonline there are no z words
I think that will be a nice warm trip for you.
do you have family there, Kristin?
we do, most of my Dad's family is down there. We were actually just there last month too. My grandmother has a brain tumor so we are going down to spend a bit more time with her while she is still doing well. My brother is even flying in from Denmark and I haven't seen him in over 6 months so as sad as this all is, I am also really excited.
sorry about granmother kristin
oh Kristin, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma. But I can bet you are thrilled to see your brother
thanks praise, she has really great hospice care right now and really great family, so she is in a fairly good space.
glad to hear it Kristin
Yep mom, the last time he saw Zach, he was 10 weeks old. His wife is coming too. My mom is thrilled (as they will go down also).
let me think back... your brother's wife is from Denmark and they lived here for a while and moved back to her homeland. Right?
Will you be there long enough to have a long visit?
Very good Mom! Yes, they've been there since last fall and it looks like that is where they will stay. Now that my mom is "kid-less" in OR, we are trying to get her to move to Seattle. :)
oh Kristin, that would be wonderful. Do you think she will do it?
Yep, we are there almost a week and my brother will there for 5 days (He's gone a week by the time your factor in the time to get there and back).
Thanks Praise

The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget... this particular Sunday sermon... "Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but dust." He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening!) leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little girl voice that many others could hear, "Mom, what is butt dust?"

Hi all from the library!
hi jilli
Hello Jillibus! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
min -- love your icon~
missing one na4 and one na5
Thank you jillibus! Too bad this chog makes it blurry!
na 4/4 is n plus double vowel plus single hump & plural
it looks great when it's clicked on though
na 4/4 is another word for grandmother and plural it
got that one min
Hello HollyF! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
got the other thanks to you Min!!!
yw HollyF.
I can help clue if there's a lull here -- I have one word to go but will wait until I get home so I can see and hear the video (no sound on the library computer, of course!)
Thank you for the offer jillibus, but I'm trying to see how far I can get along with just the list.Hate to ask for clues on a small grid.I would rather give the clues
I like to do that too, Min, but often don't get as far as I'd like. This grid is quite nice, though.
Got 71 words easily without my list, then went to list
It's very quiet here now but I expect that 10 minutes before closing time it will get busy
It may be quiet because of a troll that was on before
are there any Z words? If there are could I get a hint for one of them please?
to5.18?
to5/18 villages
The to 5/18 word is plural of a word for village HollyF.
Hello Capng! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Slaps myself upside the head! Thank you Pug and Min

whomp!
WHOMP !!!!!
hi tyger
and the meaning of "whomp"?
oops, sorry to shout there...

:raised eyebrows:
whomp is a sort of bashing/landing with a thump noise.
I didn't name it I just play it!
to thrash I believe tyger - just thought it was funny when pug said it
oh, well
wasn't there a whomping willow in Harry Potter?
There was, kje.
yep, there sure was...
oh, yes. that's right :)
Ranger soap??
**thinking about nuts Babblecast**
it is a funny word - onomoa.... whatever
(Referring to the Babblecast back there.)
look it up Jac.... google it...
but there was a charm to freeze the willow momentarily
tis funny!
Okay, Aussie. *Scuttles off to Google*
there was a knot in the bottom of the tree that stopped the branches whomping....
ranger soap - This is a great soap for your manly man, who likes to get clean without smelling like a woman!
onomatopoeia? is that the word you want, KJE?
Cheeky Maiden soap link, Aussie?
Jac, yes.....http://www.cheekymaidensoap.co m/texasranger.html
yes, but can never remember hot to spell it!!! but whomp is one of those
I have what my immunology prof/mentor called the "spelling gene" :)
'Trying not to choke on my chicken'?? Oh LOLOLOL.

That pair of Babblecasters are either getting too much or not enough. Can't decide which. LOL
I'm lacking at least 1 of those genes

have found several things for her already....
Oooh. GOtta run! Cousin from France on the line!
hi jbv
Hey JBV.... just fine here...
talk to you all later.
ttfn Jade.... thanks for the fun and games...
Hi, JBV. We've all been somewhat distracted by the latest Babblecast but we're here to clue now, if required.
bye jade
'Bye, Jade. Thanks for the fun.
My daughter's due home at 10.30am from her 21st birthday prezzie from her Dad - a week in St. Peterburg, Russia.
I need one more o - I have 3 with oc, 4 with or, and 1 with ow -
wow! that's quite a present, Jac!
4 x oc JBV..
4 x oc words, JBV.
I bet you need the 2nd oc6 dont you...
got it, thans aussie - it was a plural!
You probably need oc6/21, which is oc5/12 with Latin ending.
add 2nd vowel to end of 2nd oc5...
ah, bless you...
no, it was the atlantic plural I didn't have
blimey....
LOL, JBV. How the simple plurals evade us as we seek stranger and stranger words.
am currently fighting to find the an words....
an4/4 = Indian childminders. an4/4 = written by an unknown author.
the ans were annoying indeed
I have the last 4 letters of the yellow fruit..
an4/4 = sounds like a reply. an 5/10 is the Latin plural of that.
have the unknown, not sure of the sounds like reply...
how about the m's - I have the 6 and 7, need 2 more
nm, I got them, eventually...
Son's Dutch girlfriend headed home after a week here earlier. I'd just been up to the bunny and g/pig shed to open it up for the morning and found one of our old male guinea pigs had died in his sleep. 'Can I see the animal shed?' she asked. 'Erm...' said I. 'Yes, but I've got a dead one in there.' What must she have thought??
mi6 and 7 are tiny fish.
awww, sorry to hear about the guinea pig Jac....
have that Jac, need the other two
hmmm....wonder what she thought indeed, jac. And sorry about the guinea pig...
I have several of the tropical variety of those fish Jac..... white cloud mountain Mi7
Aussie - I've been telling his owner, my daughter, who's away at Uni most of the time now, that's he's 'not right' for about a month. However, he came up for his food, if a little quietly, the night before. I knew his time was near. He went in his sleep, no big traumas to him.
still a shame Jac.....
Yes, Aussie.
5 is a good age for a guinea pig though.
aussie, I'm working on that white cloud mountain - care to add a little more?
it is Jac, it is....
JBV, tiny fish, erm, hang on there two ticks....
hm, now I have all 4 m's so I don't know what your clue was for
lol JBV, here is latin name for mi6 and 7...Tanichthys Albonubes....
I just hope our very geriatric, only surviving rabbit, who lived next to him, doesn't go next. He looked very down today. I've cleaned the hutch out and I'll leave it overnight to air and then move the two young male guinea pigs over to keep him company. Thing is, daughter is planning to take them to her new house with her next month. All that will be left then are the 3 female guinea pigs who live above him in a huge hutch. I don't think they would take kindly to being moved downstairs to a 4 foot long hutch.
aussie, you are giving me the fish - but I had those- anyway I have all the m's now- I see you were translating the latin fish name???
yes, I did JBV....
sorry if I was dense
I have some of those fish JBV....
its ok, we all have our moments, I have more than others though....
I have my fingers crossed Jac...
I doubt that, Aussie, re the more than most post.
I dont know Jac.... I can miss the easiest of words...
and I have lots and lots of fish thrown at me too...
e in middle of top row - I have 1 er and 4 es - any clues?
Incidentally, sseing how the so-called 'care home' lost my Dad's glasses and hearing aid, never mind most of his clothes when he was in his final months of life, I'm wondering, since I need my specs, should I have laser eye surgery to at least prevent me not being able to see (and also hear - I can't hear that well without my specs on) before I reach the stage where my kids need to put me into care??
another er JBV...
both er4/4...
I know that sounds silly, but it IS coming into my thoughts lately.:-(
got it, aussie, thanks
dont know whether to laugh or not.... not at the part about your Dad.... just the bit of not hearing without your specs on bit....
yvw JBV...
Jac, you remind me of someone I work with who told me she made her children promise that when she's old and blind they will NEVER dress her in clothes that don't match!
(she's something of a fashion plate right now)
Aussie - believe me, in care homes and on geriatric wards (if those still exist in UK), black humour is most necessary to survive. For both patients (until they're beyond that) and for families.
I know, my Sister In Law works in a BUPA home, and she says it is terrible there, not as bad as the place she worked before though....
se
JBV - in Britain's wards and homes for the old, the staff don't bother. Many of them want to care, don't get me wrong. Maybe the person in charge started out caring, too. But it's all about budgets and targets now, not human life. Pity!
that's very sad
she made a slight faux pas one night, as they were making the rounds....
It is, JBV. Anyway, enough of that! What clues do you need?
thanks, Jac- I need n's - I have 5 na's, 2 ni's and 4 no's
ok, onto clues...
need another na JBV...
Hello all you chickens! Back to see if I can do the last 34...
and another 2 no's...
JANDY !!!! xx
bbl
Hi all I was just catching up on the chog and have to tell my guinea pig story...when daughter was younger like 9 or 10 we wouldnt let her have a dog because she was gone all the time , music , dance, cheering , gym etc .... so she talked me into a guinea
Hiya Aussie... how you dong!
na... 4, 5, 4, 5, 6, 4....
the little thing lived 9 Years is buried in our backyard
Can't wait to hear this, MaMa....

then in a moment of guinea grief I finally gave into the dog
I am doing fine Jandy, you
aussie, that helped, got the last na 4

LOL, reminds me of our rescued Old English Sheepdog who we took on at age 8, and were told she wouldn't manage more than another couple of years...
Hence the icon, and then daughter went to college LOL
yvw JBV...
And dog has taken over
She went on till she was fifteen and a half!
awww, bless Jandy....
LOL, MaMa... I hope the two of you are very happy together! She is a beautiful looking dog, might I say.
ok, cant stay awake any more...... am so tired, and hubby will be up in just over an hour for work.... night night Babble Family, sweet dreams...
Night Aussie!
'Night Aussie.x
Oh yes thank you we are very happy helps with losing , daughter to college
I think I'm missing the first no 4, 5 - does it have r in the third position?
Night Ausssie
night, Aussie, thanks
No, JBV.
ok, just found it, thanks JAC
Have you started on your decking, yet, Jac?
Jandy - it's done. He's also made me a new window box out of the spare.
woo hoo! Excellent! That'll give you what is possibly the only mouse sanctuary in England!
You might have to up the cat's food a bit, LOL!
I casually mentioned a window box on the 'jobs to do in the garden' list when he came in after completing the decking... he had a cuppa and then went back out there and knocked one together in about half-an-hour. 'You've made a few of those before now, I guess?' said I. 'No', said he. 'It's the first one.' MY HERO!
Now THAT'S sexy!
HE is, erm, I mean it is, Jandy. LOL
Yummy hubby, jac!!! And hi all
woo Jac a man that knows how to use his tools ;)
Hi jilli!
Grin, MaMa... very important.
Hey Jilli
ahem, MaMaWa
can you clone me one jac?
He needs to add a cat seat at the end though, Jandy, to stop said 12lb cat sitting on my plants as he looks in through the kitchen window asking to be let in about half a minute after he's been let out.
My husband could and would do the job, and it would be the most soundly contructed, over-engineered window box ever, but it would take him much, much longer...
Hi, jilli.
Absolutely, mine likes power tools also HEHE
ROFL.....
OOh! A lot of female hormones in the log tonight. LOL
Jandy ours might be relatated, slow and proper
My dog does that. Drives me frickin' nuts! Tappy tappy tappy to go out. Looks in bowl. Sighs. Tappy tappy tappy to come in... and so on....
Okay I am either blushing or having a hot flash !!
Indeed MaMa... he would be perfect if only he wasn't such a perfectionist! But when he makes things, they do stay made.
Gotta love em Jandy :=)
I hope it's the former, MaMa... sounds like more fun!
My hubby would have and could have and did do things like that -- he loved woodworking and did great things <mourn>
mmmm hugs jilli
hi, again
Ihad the most intense hot flush/flash I've ever known day before yesterday. I almost knocked other half over in my rush to get outside. I've never known heat like it radiating out from inside. I truly believed I was going to burst into flames.
Ah jilli... as I get older and more aware of our mortality, I must say I criticise less and appreciate more.. or try to at least...
Aw, jilli. ((HUGS)))
Hi pam!
OMG Jac its not real until youve had it
Sounds like fun, girls... I'm 50 in June and nowhere near it.... can't wait!
talk of hot flashes makes me wonder if i'm really human - menopause came and went without ONE symptom - never had a hot flash -
I never had a hot flash/flush -- does that mean I was frigid?
My girlfriends SWEAR by Remifemin, which is all natural, for cutting down the flushes and the mood swings...
Jandy - your hubby sounds like my ex-hubby. He went through a phase though, of finding quick fixes for DIY jobs. He mended our broken coffee table top with angle iron. Bl**dy things weighed a ton after he'd done with it!
Hubby and i were at tax mans today and he made joke about enough life insurance and i thought to myself not enough money to fill the gap
Fingers crossed, jilli and JBV!
but I do notice the slowing down of the little grey cells - that I did not escape
Grin, Jac... maybe he was hoping you'd test it out!
Well, hysterectomy for me in just over two weeks, and the big debate is, ovaries out or ovaries in...
I have heard some of us girls dont get the whole meno experience
wish i was one lol
DEar hubby was a tease -- he mended an old chair with duct tape to my horror but didn't tell me he had made an appointment to have it re-upholstered
My theory is that, while I acknowledge that the dress has to go, there is nothing wrong with the shoes that go with it, and I see no reason to get rid of perfectly good shoes because you got rid of the dress!
Me, too, MamaWA. I could do without the hot flashes AND without the period pains when no period is forthcoming. I'd rather have the period sans pain!
Grin, jilli... I do love a man with a sense of humour! You must miss him dearly.
Sounds familiar jilli mine aggravates the HE88 out of me but wouldnt have any other way
if you have a choice, I'd say stay with as many body parts as you came with
out, Jandy! Small deal.
jilli - your lovely hubby sounds just like my Other Half (who's not my hubby because he's not bothered to get divorced yet after 5 years together).
Jandy, he had a GREAT sense of humour which is one reason I married him
I like your theory Jandy, keep as much as given as long as we can
That's my theory JBV... no history of breast or ovarian cancer in the family... I'm just worried that I will be plunged, overnight, into menopause, which I think is probably still some years away for me naturally
Jancy, who needs to worry about ovarian cancer?
Well, Jilli - Most women like a man who can make them laugh, which is why GSOH is a popular abbreviation in Lonely Hearts ads.
I know Jilli.. and if we had a family history or any other high risk factors i would say Whip Them Out.. but we don't, thank goodness.
It really is one of the most attractive traits, isn't it! (GSOH, that is, not ovaries!)
Ah! This discussion about to leave it in or to whip it all out was in the log earlier when I first started the grid.
I always think that in these medical issues gather as much info as you feel comfortable with and then make an informed decision that works for you :)
I, for what reason I am not sure, want to hang on to my innards.
that was probably me and Scrabbler, Jac... the same debate! She was in favour of Out. We were trading free medical advice from her in return for a free dream interpretation from me!
I think I missed most of that earlier talk I was *in and out* lol
That's me too, Jac... and I think you're right MaMa. I am an extremely well informed consumer, and I think they are probably Staying In!
cracking myself up
Yes, Jandy - that was the convo I read as I drank my cuppa and tickled the grid in an inviting manner.
Now, ladies, any chance of a clue for some O words please? Javem
Rats
Haven't gone to the grid yet, but only have two from the top right.
oc5 = a sea like the Pacific. oc5 is plural.
I have 2 x or 4/4
Yes I too am stuck on the O words and most of the others still have 96 to go
And did the grid respond accordingly, Jac?
first two o's are oc - atlantic and pacific
next two o's are oc - oc + first three letters of re 4 (peruse)
So, what kind of fish today, grin?? Thanks JBV!
well I had tuna for dinner - want some leftovers?
Next oc5 and Latin plural 6 are rhubarb joints. Try oc+ not false minus last letter and then Latin plural it.
Mmmm... I love tuna. You can keep salmon, while I can have tuna!
Not keen on tuna. Sorry!
there are 2 or 4/4's and 1 or 4/5
I'll take the salmon then, Jandy.
4 x or words.
and the or 5 is a nymph or sprite - mythology word
Thanks Jac... make you a rhubarb crumble if you like..
3 x or4.
Okay, Jandy. I'll wait for it in the post.
i x ow4.
clue for to 5/18?
Straight rhubarb or mixed with apple?
Don't mind, Jandy. Whatever takes your fancy.
to5/18 word is plural for another word for village JBV
Throw in a stray rasberry or two, if you like.
raspberry, I meant.
AY! thanks, min - I had the singular! -
The raspberries are just finishing here... had raspberry pancakes for breakfast last Sunday, with them picked five minutes before... yummmmm
Googling the sprite, thanks JBV!
My monkeys are still on a go slow..
to5/18 is smaller than a city but larger than a village.
got my last word - wo - so now come the fireworks - thank you to all - could not have finished without you
But it's plural of the to4/8 I just clued.
yw JBV
Congratulations JBV on your fireworks! Good for you
Well done, JBV.
Hi, Minver.
Oh yay JBV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Jacula. I came here to try to find my last word.
Need a clue for it, Min?
btw, I have one word left and I know what it is. I was babbling during a lull at work (library) but didn't hit Enter (or Return if you're a Maccie) because I wanted to enjoy the video with sound, not possible in the library (ssshhh!)
I finally got fireworks.na 6/18 was my last word! YAY
Well done, Min.
Yay Min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need aid, Jilli?
way to go min!
I can help with clues for a little bit before I go to bed
I'll be ever so quiet, jilli.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm for my fireworks!
YAYAY Minniemouse! (You missed my explanation of that name the other day -- one of our dear DAnes was called Yasmine, so we called her Mini --> Minniemouse, much loved
y/w, Min. That's Babbleland!
I could do with some more A words please... I have the ae4/4 and the an4/4
Wtg all finishers :)
Which is the reason why I love it here in babbleland!
And I'm terribly sorry, JBV, but I can't find the nymph or sprite word.... can find plenty of them, just not beginning with an O...
No thanks, jac -- I know the word -- was saving it for now....
an4/4 - sounds like a reply. an + abbreviation for South Africa. an 5 is the Latin plural of that.
Fireworks, lol!
LOL, jilli!
hey plushfrenzy how are you?
I won't mention the word anal.
Yay jilli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Turn the volume up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have 4 ocs and 3 or s and still need something up there in that right corner
Nope, won't mention it. ROFLOL.
WELL DONE, JILLI!
an4/4 is plural of first name of Ms. Alicia from Falcon Crest. Another an 4/4 is an plus *outh *merica Jandy.
Thanks, Jac.. got them now!
Congratulations jillibus on your fireworks! Good for U
err.... Falcon Crest?
y/w, Jandy.
Think of the movie *** and the King and plural it Jandy
Falcon Crest - a US soap from the 80s, as I recall.
holding up the vid because Corrie is still on for a few
Thank you min!!!
o+ cr--- of wheat (change last cons to vowell) '
Well, crank it up and let it rip when you can, jilli!!!
back - I was closing down my puter & saw that jandy was asking about the sprite starting with O - nobody answered. Jandy, or 5/12: o + what you do with a book
ok, now I can watch the vid
ty tyger... I think I got lost in the flying chat!!! Only one O and one A to go now... still resisting the list!
yw, jandy. nytol - headed for beddy-bye
ty tyger I needed that one also
Night tyger! Sleep tight....
go jandy! my first finish without the list
Today, WogDog? Sorry... did I say that out loud???
Jandy?
Cough... I don't know what came over me!
Good for you ItalianGrreyhound, and your dogs are beautiful btw
I thought you meant black dog, which is either a bad omen or depression.
thx mamawa and yours!
So (changing subject to distract from disgraceful behaviour) what is today's icon theme... there are lots of lovely dogs.
hard
No idea why black pets, esp, cats are seen as bad omens. I love my black cat and she loved me.
Now, Italian Greyhound, was today really your first day finishing without the list?
The theme is still planets, Jandy. Today's is Pluto but I decided to be silly with it.
Jandy before the whole memory loss ( back to the menopause thing again) I used to know how to change my icon but forgot
Me neither Jac.. my black dog makes me very happy. I will have to put him on my icon
Hi Everyone
hard to find something depressive about a dog Jac! lol
MamaWA - go to your bio, click on edit under your pic and find a new one either on the net or from your own pc.
Hi DR!
Hi, DR.
Hi Jandy- How are you?
Jac, im proud of my accomplishment today!
What have you done, my Saluki friend?
The only issue with a very black pet is that they aren't awfully photogenic... I have lots of shots of a black blob with a pink tongue sticking out!
IHi jacula! Love your Pluto
that video is HILARIOUS!!!!
Congratulations, Italian Greyhound.... it is a really big deal! I have only managed it once or twice and it's much harder work.
time to show you MY Pluto, which I chose yesterday -- back in a bit...
I'm good thanks DR... what's happening in your part of the world?
thx!
Relatively quiet here in san Diego..
anybody have clues for the ni words?
I do think it is a lovely city, DR... there's something a bit Australian about it in some way...
ni + skim milk is *** fat
I will work on changing it soon, Jac but for now I must say good night to all of you lovely people i still need 84 words but had more fun (as usual) reading and chatting..Until next I hope you all stay well :)
then plural
Black pets ARE very hard to photograph, but it must be their only failing, apart from being the most allergenic.
ahhhh. thank you so much
Thanks MaMa and good night!
I have never been to Australia Jandy but would love to visit!
'Night, MAmaWA.
bye mamawa
good clue Pug! I think I saw you here about 6 hours ago!
Gnight mamawa
Well, Jac, I have a spoodle, and he doesn't smell or shed at all, so he doesn't set me off in the least!
yes I've been lurking in & out
We're just such a long (expensive) way from you guys, DR.... but it's worth it!
I saw a snorkie the other day..schnauzer/yorkie
I think my husband sheds more that the dog, actually...
Hullo everyone. I've just finished my first babble for several weeeks and it feels good!
im in & out through the day as time permits too.
A snorkie! Was it an attractive mix?
If I could ever afford it, and take the time off to go by sea, because I don't think my body would take the air journey, I'd love to visit Aus for about a week, see friends and stuff, then to NZ for the same and then onto Tasmania for a fornight to see what properties are available to buy there and if I could live there.
Yay hetty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was funny looking.. little, grey and silver
why do people feel compelled to come up with these silly names for cross breeds?
Yeah Hetty!!!
They used to be mutts
If you break the air trip up it's not too bad, Jac.... but you've still got eight hours from Asia to us...
spoodle - spaniel/poodle. No hair loss, totally neurotic and slightly mad, but great dogs.
Now they are designer mutts and more expensive than pure breds!
Now people act like mutt is a dirty word
Yeah one and all! A special Hi to you, jilli. How's island life?
hi hetty
I don't know pugmama, but you can have fun with it... imagine if you crossed a bull dog with a shi tszu (?spelling)
Hi, hetty. How lovely to see you again. xx
that's a cute one jandy
Our spoodle is actually 3/4 cocker and 1/4 standard poodle and I think it's probably the perfect mix. He's laid back but smart....
Sweet Jac. When we go to Australia it's to the West thro Hong kong or Singapore and it's really not bad in two stretches. Try Perth Jac.
A mutt is a Heinz 57 in UK, or, failing that, a mongrel, or a cross-breed, or Xbreed as the vets put it.
But I agree about the whole mutt thing... he is just a glorified mongrel. We have groodles, moodles, schnoodles, cavoodles...
re7- what is the third letter?
Hello at last again, Hetty dear!!!
That's the way to do it, hetty. The direct flights are somewhat taxing, even if you can get an upgrade!
c DR
Hullo my darling Jillibus. How I've missed you.
re+ what royalty wears on the head
ty Jandy
don't get me started on designer dogs, please -- loveable I'm sure, but.....
c
found it.. Thanks !
I'd need to go to Sidney in Aus.
yw
IG, I knew a Dane breeder in the Toronto area who was also an IG breeder, lol
Good for people like me, jilli, who are allergic but don't want a straight poodle... Didn't react to the Old English we had before, either, cause that's more like wool...
Auckland in NZ and anywhere in Taz.
Talking about dogs, our maltipoo is e toast of our new condo unit. Everyone loves her
Sydney in Aus, Sidney in BC
Sydney. I knew that was wrong. LOL
The really hard part is just geting your foot into Australia, Jac, after that the distances are all manageable. Though it is still about 5 hours from Perth to Sydney....
Yes, Hetty, they are adorable, but still but...
hello 82 to go
ouch, jill! actually, same dog,in their heads lol
Also, Jac, South island New Zealand is heavenly
At least I haven't seen anyone try to cross a Great Dane with a poodle yet, jilli!!! The mind boggles...
Jandy - I don't want to live in Aus - just visit.
hi harp
Hiya harp!
Hi harpjane! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Hi Harp
Oh I know Jac, I just meant from the travelling perspective! It is a long way, but there's so much to see when you get here!
I might consider living in NZ or Tasmania, once I've been there.
Talking about Sidney, are we? I have a friend whose name is Sidney, and she just went to Sidney, Nova Scotia. She is trying to visit all the cities in the world named Sidney!
I'm good Minver, how are you?
Tassie is just lovely... a cross between the UK and Australia!
There was an accidental cross of a sleeping Dane bitch with a horny dachsund, and I have a newspaper photo showing the disatrous results, lol!
I love my country and never ever considered leaving it until this stupid nanny government got a hold on it.
funny, Sidneys on both coasts of Canada
LOL jilli.... that would not be pretty!
I am well harpjane. I am here to help clue if you need.
thanks min, i don't know what i need yet, except more popcorn....
my older ig (12 pounds) is best friends a a 60 pound collie. neither knows who is alfa dog!
Would be fun for a holiday, anyway, Jac... it's different enough to know you're somewhere else!
Everywhere I go in the world, I take part in and enjoy, but when I see the green and pleasant land below me... I can't wait to get baack to the PG Tips, the rain, etc.
Has Harp come out from behind the palm plants? Hi, Harp!
I'm sorry I have never been to the land of my mother's family (Australia) and now I think it's a bit too late
Well, you would really miss the green in mainland Australia... the equivalent to your "green and pleasant land" is " I love a sunburned country, a land of sweeping plains..."
Why so, Jilli?
You never know jilli, you just never know...
When I flew over Spain it was all ORANGE! tHE EARTH NOT THE FRUIT.
Jac, having been brought up an overseas Brit and having been there too briefly, I still love Jerusalem (you know what I mean)
hi jac i just got home!
Yerrsss.... so is the middle of Australia.... somewhere between an orange and a pomegranate, maybe, to keep the fruit analogy!
I do know what you mean, jilli. No reason for you not getting to Aus in the end, though. xx
Jandy, what lovely words -- from Australia, the fair?
No, jilli, from a poem by Dorothea McKellar... it's iconic
Hi again, Harp.
Travelling is too much of a grind now, and alone sucks, as they say.
I know, jilli!xx
Well, Jandy, it's beautiful
Travelling alone has always been not a lot of fun, but travelling anyhow is such a grind now, thanks to terrorists and the PC brigade.
Here is the first two verses, jilli.... as an imported Briton, the first verse is really powerful for me...
My Country by Dorothea McKellar a poem about Australia The love of field and coppice, Of green and shaded lanes, Of ordered woods and gardens Is running in your veins. Strong love of grey-blue distance, Brown streams and soft, dim skies - I know but cannot share it, My love is otherwise. I love a sunburnt country, A land of sweeping plains, Of rugged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains. I love her far horizons, I love her jewel-sea, Her beauty and her terror – The wide brown land for me!
last word... na6 clue please
na 6/18 is what people might call their grandmother.
Once, the journey was part of the holiday. These days it is a delay and a hard grind we try to forget.
That is so pretty Jandy
na: na---- goat
mary poppins, dr
Thanks DR... I love it!
ty all- Firewords
YAY DR......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......
way to go Dr!
Jandy - I'll go for England's Green and pleasant land.
yay drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Well done, DR.
Congratulations DR1965 on fireworks! Hooray for U!
Jandy -- thanks so much for that -- and come to Salt Spring Island for a reminiscence of the first part -- one reason I love it here
ty all... the video is great!
We did a great trip last year, Jac. Flew to Singapore, which is only 8 hrs and had a few days there, then got the train to Bangkok, which took three days... real travelling! Then popped down to Phuket by plane (1 hour) and had two weeks there...
Sound good, Jandy.
I'm glad you like it, jilli.... it was a huge shock to us as English kids to arrive to the heat, the light (which is like the light nowhere else) and the SPACE... It's home now and I love it, but I can still appreciate the green, lush scenery in other places.
Although I started out in Shanghai, brown river, flat land, but a lovely park with a mulberry tree and tadpole pools and an Aladdin's Cave...
No holiday abroad for us this year but we might return to see more of Crete next year. Who knows?
What an adventure you've had, jilli! Shanghai is the only place I have been in China... fascinating city...
Just keep going in the same direction, Jac, and eventually you will be here!
what a wonder full world
It is that, jilli!
I want to go to Africa but may have to wait until a) finances allow and b) the various local unrestedness has settled.
could someone clue the first cr5?
I think that would be fascinating, Jac
Jandy, my Shanghai is long gone <mourn>
cr + mineral
c + what sounds like a lion noise, harp.
I want to climb Kilimanjaro
thanks jac
cr + source of minerals
co6?
You might find bits of it in the back streets, jilli... I swear some of that has never changed! But oh, the high rises, and the building going on, and the pollution, and the traffic!
I'm not sure I'm capable of climbing that mount, but would like to see it.
co6 brand of mexican beer
co6 -- the ring around the sun or Mexican beer
supposedly it's not too hard as "highest mountains on continents" are measured!
thanks jill
Mmmm... more like my style.... from a good hotel window, with a drink in one hand and a savoury in the other!
co6 = the halo around the sun or a pop drink in UK or a beer in USa, so I believe.
both co7's are plurals of that. One is the regular one and the other is the Latin.
harp, if that's your aim, you should DEFINITELY come to Australia... even I could get up Mt Kosiosko! Well, maybe not, but it would be classified as "A Doddle" to anyone who actually climbs!
Thanks Jac... didn't have the Latin one!
Harp - when I rose quickly from our sofa tonight and both of my knees cracked loudly - my other half was more in pain than I was, just through hearing it.
It's about 20 metres high, harp!
:-(
ok i can Definitely do that one!
the one is Europe isn't supposed to be too high either
Need two more C words... I have co 4,5,4,5,6,7,7,5 are there any more co words, please?
Jandy -- we didn't venture into the chinese back streets. Our Shanghai was the International Settlement and the French Concession and the Bund (rhymes with fund) and Nanking Road and Avenue Edward VII and so on and on -- and Wing On's department store where I wondered why Father Christmas looked Chinese and Dombey and Son, the gorcers with dead chickens hanging around .... I can't go home again, ever.
It'll be higher than our hill, harp!
Climbers don't count the one in Australia when they are doing the 7 continents. There's some awful thing they do in New Guinea, and they say it's the highest point in Oceana!
And the Chocolate Shop, yum
there are two ce words
jilli.. you're making me think of the movie... what was it called, about the boy who goes to a concentration camp.... is it Empire of the Sun?
O thanks harp.. don't have them!
and six cr words
I think I'd better go and have supper, lol!
ce + little Rosemary, then plural.
Got them....
ice cream break
im back
cr words are cr + METAL + PLURAL, black bird that caws, royal headgear and plural or verb form, plural black bird from before.
Got the singular straight off, Jac....
Of the ce, that is
Jandy - add a snake consonant for the next.
I am A Nidiot! Was trying to plural the plural.....
I have all the cr words, I think... I have a total of six, which is what Harp said
Yes, Jandy, and the book was written by a boy a friend of mine had a crush on -- I didn't know him -- and others I knew were unpleased about how kindly he wrote about the treatment they got. My dad was imprisoned as a civilian in Hong Kong and the treatment there was horrible -- a friend shot for having a radio, all starved. I didn't see him from when I was 12 until I was 22.
LOL. I hope Nidiot gets put into the Babble dictionary, if not Enable/Disable. LOL
that came from a Snoopy strip a long long time ago, Jac... A Nidiot and An Ucklehead!
Enuf awreddy -- going for supper -- sorry about the bad memories
jili _ I just read those and do not apologize!
Wow, jilli.... that's not bad memories, that's part of a rich and adventurous life you've had!
That's a sh*t life throws, jilli. You're old enough to know that by now. xxxx
Exactly, Jac! But it's what, in a terrible way, makes life interesting and makes us who we are, too! I loved hearing about your Shanghai, jilli!!!
Oh, and by the way, the colour of the school blazer was wrong -- it was deep purple, not maroon, because he went to the Cathedral Boys' School, which was Church of England, and used the Bishop's purple, but what did Spielberg know?
LOL! What indeed, jilli!
I'm going to wander off to sleep now. If I'm not up in time to go grocery shopping with my Mum later I will be in big trouble!
bbl jac
sleep tight jac
sweet dreams
I don't want to get you in trouble with your Mum, Jac! (Are we never too old for that?) Good night... thanks for the help and the laugh
Jac, SO glad you're not staying up all night as before!
funny how our mums still get us in trouble....
Despite beiung nearly 51m I still have to keep in with my Mum!:-((
That's a good girl, jac!
night all Babblers! poof!
Off I go, like a good little girl. Byeeee!
Night, pugmama, patron saint of mutts!
night pug!
I always find it wise myself, Jac!
night jac!
tr7?
disloyalty to your country, harp
tr7 -- betrayal of your country
thanks
and now I really depart -- back for the flip, I hope -- it's been a lovely cocktail hour for me xoxoxo all
Bye jilli! Enjoy your supper!
And thanks for sharing with us!
I can't get one of the so 4/4s. I think I've tried every possible combination - it's from the middle S. Any clues please? I have so 4/4s in which the third letter is n, r, r, t.
Third letter w, for two of them, vah!
Sorry, but not for the 4/4s!!!!
I am missing the third so 4/4 but have the others... do you know which you're missing?
No I don't. Well, I do have the three 5/10 plurals, so i guess I have the 4/4s that go with them.
Clues for the st5/18 please?
I've got them all now, vah, so will have a quick look

Hiya jess!
It's not exactly a walk in the park but I got down to the last 15 before I went to the list, so it can't be too horrible
so there's a reasonable chance i can hack it out in an hour... i'll give her a go :)
I think you can.. I did way too much chatting early in the piece!
i finished, fireworks, thank you for the help!
Yay harp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you have to be a paid member?
Clue please for na 6/18
where is this list of na 6? or na 18?
cali, you only have to be a paid member to see the stat boxes after the first 2 weeks.
someone who watches children is the na 6
Look at the links at the bottom and go to Lickety's Clues
if you click the "licketys babble clues" link below the stats, it takes you to a list
second that
the clues people are asking about (tr14, for example) means a word that starts with tr and has 14 letters
lol lickster
Thanks you ruru

everytime I make a pun and include your name lickety you are RIGHT there
uncanny - I pass on by maybe twice or three times a day

glad to have helped. there always is brandyjack too if I'm not around. Babble Expert is my proud thing though.
tell mr P that ruru sends best wishes and kisses to mr. P and doggie licks too
your format is much easier to work with than Brandy's although when you are not around...wow does brandy save the day
MR. P sounds like an absolutely incredible person to me
