i had an abnormal mammogram & the dr had to have radiology go in first so he could reach the exact spot & then he did his thing (taking out the mass & surrounding tissue) for the patholgist to find out exactly what we are dealing with.

Well, that's logic hard to argue with! My sons used to say that, and when taken by the hand and shown that there was bread, fruit, baked beans, cereal, pasta, noodles etc., they'd say "yes, but there's nothing we WANT to eat!"
For the most part, they were right in the things they tossed. The refrigerator was becoming something of a science experiment...However, there were some frozen things and dry goods I would probably not have thrown away.
