you will, no doubt, shdy. I have gone through severe depression for a couple of years, and am now slowly coming out of it. With the help of our family doctor, a therapist and medication, and my inborn sheer stubbornness and refusal to ever give up, lol.

lol. My children are perfect. I, however, am not. Therefore, I weary of them on occasion.
Oh ,we all weary of our children, it's perfectly normal. They'll get better, then worse, then better again.
They are in kindergarten, yes. But in our town it's half day, and they are in the afternoon class. We can pay extra for the other half day, so I have them in that on 3 of the 5 days. But not Monday.
They're actually a lot of fun now. I did not much enjoy the first several years of motherhood, though. Turns out I don't really like babies 24 hours a day!
Sounds a lot more complicated than it was for me...Turned five, went to primary (full day, grade before Grade one). Started school as real school. I survived! I have cousin in Toronto on her second year of "half days". IMO, not a good way to teach kids about long school days.

Actually, developmentally speaking, full day primary is not for the benefit of the children. It's for the benefit of working parents.
But the only reason our town does not do full day is budget. Which si lame, since it's a perfectly wealthy town on the whole.
My two went to playgroup in the mornings when they were 4 then progressed to primary school when they were five. 9 - 12.30 initially and then 9 - 2. They were always tired by the end.
I loved it. Nothing I wanted more in the world than to do school. I was reading long before I went, so I got to read to the class. Total teachers pet.

actually, it's yearly training on legal issues for security. I have taught this class, but still have to take it every year. I just play the video in the background since there is no way to skip it, and then take the test at the end...

sorry kje, i was taking the section test...a security guard can not detain anyone, ever! They can arrest you, but they can not hold you without arresting you (detain). Guards do not have the protection that police officers have. Our job is to observe, report, and prevent.
the really good ones are experts at prevention... worked with some great ones at a variety of hospitals...
OK... so if he is really cute and I WANT him to catch me ; ) I must remember to not leave the property and to get myself arrested - LOL

yes, red - have used them in the hospital as well - prefer the ones who know how to de-escalate the situation... occasionally get the ones who just make things worse
the key to prevention is to be visible...I've seen guards spend the entire shift in the security office, while everything not nailed down is stolen from the property, and other guards wwho patrol a pile of sand so much it turns to rock!
lots of places now having an actualpolice force though...
i always teach the guard to treat anyone he comes in contact with the way he would want to be treated...it makes everyone so much easier to deal with

yes, I know universities can have PDs...so academic hospitals will, I guess. But hadn't thought of normal hospitals having a PD - don't like the idea of them having guns around some of those patients though

first time i was hit by a diving block at the school swimming pool (they had to drain the pool after!!) and the second time running down the street (tipsy!!) and i fell over sprained my wrist and so it didn't save me and i landed on my nose
just flew and was happy to realize my hardware doesn't set the security xray off - woohoo!!!

Stid, my daughter is much better; she walks without a crutch now, and is in minimal discomfort. She had an ultrasound last week, and all is well with the fetus. she is having another boy. another ultrasound will be in two weeks, in more detail.

oh good! so happy she is recovering well and that the baby seems healthy that will be three boys, though. If I were you, I'd put in my order for a girl soon...
but before i can go in to hospital, I have to make, veggie soup, mild chili, hot chili, mild curry, hot curry, spag bol and tacos to fill up my freezer and make my life easier after!!
