I have been ill for a couple of years now, ptss and burnout. Flu was ugly because I did not have enough energy to get over it, still don't, but it is slowly eroding away. But my hubby broke down on Mother's day. Burnout himself. It is a bit much at the mo.

when I look back on my therapy, the emotional flare-ups were hard to handle, but somehow seemed to signal important breakthroughs and progress. But that is looking back... when I am in the middle of the emotions, I couldn't care less, lol.
yeah.. hopefully i will make breakthroughs. i haven't been able to in all the time i've been dealing with this stuff.
i am trying to be optimistic though. i'm seeing someone new.

I have never seen fans beating on eachother cus of who they cheer for... and...each hockey player is wearing somewhere inthe neighbourhood of 1-2000.00 worth of protective equipment....a footballer wears what...some shin pads and a jock?
I dont HATE any players carlee...... I just dont LIKE some of the teams.... I would never fight for that kind of thing, I think it is dumb !!
and any fan of either team can go into a visitors arena and not worry about losing life or limb for or any blood for cheering for the away team

hi, all. we had severe storms in the area last night, but we made it through with no harm.
Read them as they came out, just like I read anything else. Re-read them this summer before reading the seventh and realized the treendously poor quality writing. The style, grammar...everything. I barely made it through again and was saddened that it is so critically acclaimed.

The Goolden Compass books were better.
I actually havent noted that they were actually critically acclaimed Uni. A lot of "scholastic" style hoopla was made over them, but they don't seem to be acclaimed as great pieces of literature...
But what's REALLY good is teh BAroque books by Neil Stephenson.
The best I have read for kids was Lloyd Aleanders series....
The storyline didn't bother me that much...just an amalgamation of many hundreds of other stories..the writing bothered me. (Liked Golden Compass, re-read those MANY times so far).
i guess when i read stuff like harry potter, im not really reading it as a piece of literature, but just as a story...

I don't think Harry Potter should have been for kids. Not young kids at least. I found it all so bleak and hopeless. Prefer the humor of "series of unfortunate events" when younger.
