my mum and dads divorce was very bitter and i grew up with a mother who while not phycially violent was very verbally abusive towards my dad
even now 36 years later she cant say a nice thing about it so what little relationship i do have with him which aint much is kept pretty quiet
my mother cried on my 6 yo shoulder about my father sleeping around, and my father told me my mother was a lesbian who had made him very unhappy. Grownups should know better.

I have my fingers crossed Haz..... When they did the initial assesment on her, she had a temp of 37.8, and they told me to go back in the waiting room, and take her jumper off, and to leave her in her vest, so I did. When they called her to see the doctor, her temp had gone up to 38.9...... I am hoping that things calm down now that the meds have had a bit of time to kick in.

yes, those sponge baths are a great ides--tepid washcloth to the head as well
I remember being amazed at how quickly the temperature can soar. There's almost a particular odour from a child with a fever.

I went through this with my son - spent an awful night watching him get worse and worse, then in the a.m. went to the hospital and within minutes of inserting an I.V., he was fine - the doctor said we waited too long - I never forgot that!

No, I completely understand. It's as if the heat is radiating from her, it's probably nearly uncomfortable to nurse her. There is a definite 'something' that says fever.

THe thing I recall about fever when my kids were little - if they rspond to antifever meds - even if the fever recurs some hours later, that is a good sign. It was still very very hard to see them suffer with a fever which kept coming back.

For the Smurf - a heating pad on low for the babee to rest her ear on helps alot. also - a couple of drops of warm olive oil does the same

For paracetamol its 15 mg per kilogram...for ibuprofen she can have 10 per kilo if she is older than 2....

Nope, gliomas are primary brain cancers but they can spread within the brain, as for my friend, Mary. I visited with mary today--she will be flying on a private plane (funded by a wealthy local family) to Duke on June 5th, to see the brain tumor guru.

The guru has been directing her care since early on, due to connections made by local docs. Romor has it that Teddy K will see this guy too.

I need help... any clues on the three sa6/21's?
1st sa6 adds a vowel to the Shakespearian word for 'said'.
The next sa6 is like the actor Mr. Sa*** Jackson but with a different 2nd vowel.
The third is little Mr. Jackson (when he was a kid, he'd have been called that 3 letter word for short) + the first 3 letters of the first **em on your shopping list.

Is there a good online dictionary everyone uses, or is everyone just really smart? I've checked the links to some of those word lists, but they've been less than helpful.
