Thanks everyone. I've had to biopsies in the last two years - 1st one showed abnormal noncancerous. the second was my 1st digital mammo, and because of my family history the doctr wanted to take a look at some tiny micro calcifications that she said she would have waited on had I not been high risk. They were negative. Guess taking tamoxifen is paying off.

very active in sports & plays & library runs many afternoon programs & have large h/s networks here; univ also offer many summer & weekend acad mini-courses
we're part of a homeschool group, which gets together weekly for park days, and various other outings and gatherings. plus we've got neighbor kids around, and various personal friends.
well, social learning is not only about friends. It is also about learning to handle situations with people you would never pick out yourself. As you will need to do in later life as well.

in my son's class was a big bully, and school did everything to regulate his behaviour. Better still, they payed even more attention to the kids that had trouble with the bully. All learned from it, and no-one suffered lasting pain. I am very impressed with how school handled it.

oh I know it is the money is spent on everything but education and that's the most important
the school bully is no longer a bully and he spends alot of time with us... it was his PARENTS that didn't give a damn about him, not the teachers
we tried that, mrP. But this kid comes from a whole family of bullies... no cure there, without the parents' realisation there might be something wrong at home. But school made it work anyway. Very impressive. This school cares about kids, and about schooling, and about making it fun. Can't imagine the extra time they spend on making things special.

back in the undark ages, when a kid was reprimanded at school the parents back up the teachers. Now it seems in some schools the parents sue the teachers for scolding the little horrors
i think the lack of being their for their kids is as much, or more, a social problem for two parent families.

so... we are doing reverse tie dye t-shirts...
fun!
and I designed the stensils for the t-shirts... I took the dove "dove" and put in a stylized trefoil in her shoulder... and I contacted dove... to see if they had activities we could do at camp that night since happens at the sleepover...they sent me 3 cartons of dove prodact packs to give one each to each girl at camp
you'll have to post pics of the tshirts afterwards
so we are going to do fun "self esteem " activities and games aorund the campfire... after doing our shirts after dinner

yesterday's grid was more challenging because so many of the larger words were similar and hard to keep track of
i hate the four letter words. process of elimination can get you most of them. the fun part is finding the 8 and 9 letter words. using the point numbers and your vocabulary to solve those...
