It was wonderful and my head is still there. It was a beautiful, restored historic inn on a large lake and a close walk to a small town with shops. We kayaked everyday, ate great meals, and laughed a lot (til it hurt). There were 7 ladies in our group and the innkeepers enjoyed us.

Problem is, he keeps complaining of a headache. I've notoced that he's quite stuffed up. My instincts say there's probably nothing worse than a cold going on but he's never complained about headaches before. Only lowgrade fever, not as much energy as usual but not lying down all the time either, no rash. Just a cold, you think? Or should i get him a just-in-case appointment somewhere (my doc is on vacation)?

Yes, kids hate it, but do it at least 4 times daily to rinse out those spaces and tunnels where snot accumulates--to prevent a secondary bacterial infection and to also help him feel better. Tell him "We have to give your nose a shower.".

Poor kid-- just gave him another jolt with the spray. When I squirted it in one side it came out the other side....
Snot turns from clear to yellow-green as a cold progresses. This is the normal progression and does not mean bacterial infection--common myth. The white blood cells get in there and cause the color change.

Oh Karys. I wouldn't know where to start. My M-I-L was/is poorly. She has had 3 operations in the last 5 months. My Nephew was rushed to hospital from school, after having a stroke. He was paralyzed, but is now up and about again, back at home. My Niece was rushed to hospital with appendicitis.
