Im going backwards today bu thanks for the nudge.
and Lori will be pleased to see DENSA
isn't there a realy old song about walking backwards for christmas?
Spike Milligan, The Goon Show?
ty FM, off to google
sounds right
"I'm walking backwards for Christmas, It's the only thing for me. I've tried walking sideways, And walking to the front, But people just look at me, And say it's a publicity stunt. I'm walking backwards for Christmas, To prove that I love you"
LOL
I heard the fist count down ninety something days to christmas on the radio yesterday - why can't they leave christmas in december
I do miss the Goons at noon on Sundays - not quite a religious experience but even so
can you tell I've got bored with the grid, lol

went looking for some Havarti cheese and the store didn't have any...who deosn't carry Havarti?
Have some maple syrup and lemon juice
and armed with that smile I am starting on the Ks.
that is a good one, sandy, as soon as I am a little better, I am gonna get me some.
ok, am halfway with the Ks already! I am learning... the obvious ones anyway.
Hi Sandy
missing 4 6's and 5 5's...so now I know the k's are strange o4's

I found all the Ks. Even the 6, thanks to PAV. Yay :)
or perhaps a book....
yw Sprite!

*quick count... 20 Ks within 15 minutes... persona record!*

GM all :-)
HI CHICKie
np lady, wb
hi chickie!
*whispers: hi ho, pj, chickie*
I had this seriously stupid OCD moment were i felt everything in my bag was all chaotic even though it wasn't
hiya lady and sprite,how the grid this morning?
lol lady, best way to handle that is to organise it anyway...
It was siilly
loet
so far smooth, but not very interesting, chickie. Except for the Ks which I found quite fast, fast for me anyway.
opps
*hugs lady* Love yourself for being silly, hun.
I didn't mean to do that entry i forgot were I put my arrow
te 6/21?
k's can be tricky.................:>)
Ks are evil. But even I have to admit today's aren't bad.
nm..
got it
don't have it yet, ruru. Don't have much of anything yet. Except the Ks :)
Being a computor genius now, I just changed my icon!
Well here goes(splash) I jumped in
well. helloooo Sandy!
oh, good one, sandy! Beautiful.
enjoy, chickie :)
lol pav
fireworks
Yah Sandy
way to go RURU!
wtg ruru
thanks for the en pav
YW
WTG ruru:>)
hi sandy
sorry, didn't mean to yell....this keyboard is missing it's lights...
Sprite I loved your spiel about your icon
lotsa compounds on the 7's and 8's sprite
Im trying to be more like you
thanks sandy :)
hi chickie
actually, I love you the way you are, sandy!
that is okay pav.. I am hard of hearing
lol
ohoh, ruru... not my best side, compounds. THanks for the head's up.
You know ...writing spiels...getting sick....but I can't speak anyother languages yet!
Nicky is playing the piano-I think she is trying to distract me
*giggles* I know, shared mysery is half mysery... but try to stay healthy, lolllll.
did you catch that viral thing sprite...?
I thought she was helping you get into the right mood...
alas, I did, ruru.
munches on corn
yuck for you.. guess that comes with mommyhood
lots of hot lemon tea nd honey
with brandy in it
Hi Herin...
mummyhood and and low resistance, yes. But it isn't dangerous, it is temporary and I will refuse to let it get me down in mood. :)
ds
I think I may be off to bed.. I had a long, long, long, long, day
nite ru
night ruru
only long, ruru, or tough as well? *hugs* and sleep well.
positive thinking and lots of liquids sprite.. feel better... wish I could cook you breakfast...
GN ruru.......:>)
just long.... lots of physical activities and I am just beat
I wish you could too, ruru!Q But the thought counts and helps :D
ok, off to bed with you then. Your body earned some rest.
*** whips up some poached eggs, bacon, wheat toast, and scones for sprite.. with orange juice and coffee
oopes
***Heads to PB in bedroom....***
sprite a nice breakfast which we had this morning is scrambled egg +freshly picked spinach and feta cheese mixed thru on nice hot toast
lol, no sin bin for you, you have to go to bed. THanks for the lovely breakfast!
sounds lovely too, sandy!
nite all... happy word finding...
mmmm feta...
(one big clue... think NASA)
mmmm peanut butter and vegimite corn thins
Nice Tasmanian feta
thanks ruru :)
feta and spinach... such a wonderful combination.
I hear about vegimite....haven't had it...not that we'd have it here in AZ
Every, and I mean EVERY australian household has vegemite
seems to be delicious, we don't have it here either. Marmite, is the only thing here that sounds like it.
add a bit of balsamic vinegar for a nice salad
Marmite is c*** it tastes like sugar
oh yummy, PAV
I don't like Marmite. Too salt for me.
I better get on with beating Nikki
I never heard of it.
sprite vegemite is probably more salty
sprite vegemite is probably more salty
sprite vegemite is probably more salty
I cannot let you beat Nikki, sandy, I like her a lot. No child abuse allowed ;)
lol i pressed the thing too much
lately i have been thinking of just that-she has been a bit naughty
lol sandy, at least you mad eyour point, *giggle*
Vegimite rocks
*draws the line at eating rocks*
me too Sprite...........haha!
back again, can't
can't sleep
I just now read that Kraft (USA) is the manufacturer of Vegemite since the 1920's (ish)...I'll have to check the local grocers in the international food section....
It is lovely on hot buttery toast
*hugs flosey* So sorry you cannot sleep again, dear lady, but I am glad to see you.
thanks and hi sprite, I'll make it up
mind wont turn off
that is very unpleasant, flosey, I know that problem.
23 cs - I've only got 5
Kraft used to be australian...vegemite isn't allowed in some countries because it contains folicacid...
hi diz!
the poopies are finally asleep...so I can watch the rest of Eight Below...Joey was having fits at seeing the dogs on TV, so I'll have to plug in the headphones...good night/day everyone...feel better Sprite...
best thing to do is get up and get busy with something
isn't folic acid needed by expectant mothers?
hey sprite!!
thanks PAV, and enjoy the movie. *hugs*
PAV3 yep
that isn't true Diz. IT was a rumor which was squashed
never heard folic acid was something bad
okies herin...
I remember reading about it as the Aussies weren't happy
yep I read about the rumour of it's ban in the US, but that was denied by the gov't...still some soreness but, hey if it's on the shelf I might just try it...ciao...happy babbling!
*waves at PAV*
bye 3
I must say, Nikki is very good on the piano
Night Pav
Its unconstitutional to ban vegemite.
does anyone have a clue for ta7/68 please
would love to listen in, sandy :)
It would make you feel better
sorry, only have a ta7/48
is that a vegtable drink ady,like v8?
thanks sprite, have that one
Two of the girls sing (Nicky and Diana) and it is lovely to have lots of music in the house
ta 7 - remove + not on and plural
thanks diz!
indeed, sandy :)
thanks diz
what does the K 6 start with please
oops that was suppose to be lady.
thanks for the clue -it will help in the beating of Nicky!
same with the ra 7/8
lady: with a K
108 now and she got 144
Vegemite is a spread
hood
ha de ha K what
*giggles* Sorry, couldn't resist. Ke6.
what would you compare it to?
I dont know
chickie it is like marmite but marmite is c***
flosey and lady: love your icons
thanks sprite
I must lead a sheltered life,I've never heard of that either. Maybe we don't have it in the states....:>)
I am enjoying the themes more than I expected to. Took on the job for the sake of others, but it brings me a lot of fun!
Hi Flossey to
something to discover then, chickie :)
your description is very interesting Sprite
hi herin
hiya Flossey...............::>)
herin, that painting is beautiful, I admire those amazing artists
hi chickie
happened upon a very interesting site, flosey! The link is in the profile too, I enjoyed reading it so much.
so much tenderness in your painting, lady.
chickie , I just realised that I can see your icon- no black box
Thanks Sandy
I love his work. My tinyurls link to his other paintings. I got to see them for real.
Lori will love this grid. DENSA is in it.
my last word, any clues for en7 please?
as a member of DENSA it took me a while to find that!
flosey: what you find at the finish of some paper, book etc.
ah, so you are in, sandy! I heard the jury is still out on my membership :( :(
I joined ages ago
what is DENSA?
Chickie must be changing her icon
as a member, I'm not sure
a society Lori thought up... the stupid people version of MENSA.
but there is a website you can google
oh, is it a real one? LOL... guess I qualify very well, didn't know that.
google densa you will see
just did sandy, thanks, interesting
Since i learned to change icons, my membership has come under fire!
thanks Sprite, Fireworks
wtg flosey! Well do4! Did it quiet down your thinking a bit?
well did make me focus Sprite
flosey wtg! I have 104 left
instead of head rambling here and there restlessly
ok, focussing is a start for sure. Can you easily think in images, flosey?
mmmph
not sure what you mean sprite
your right sandy and I just tried to change it again with no luck so I sent a tex to dr.god again. Lets see what happens at least the black box is gone...:>)
to see images in your mind, think up images in stead of 'words'
I have to save an icon to 'my pictures' and upload it from there
that is what I always do too, sandy and chickie.
As a computor genius, I can tell you all these things
that is what I did and the message comes up that it is changed but it isn't???
will try that Sprite
and when you try force-refresh, chickie? (control F5 on a windows machine)
oh boy
have you refreshed- i looked at your profile and it is a black box there LOL
now must go - goodnight all
nite flosey
flosey: the reason I ask is because this is what helps me a lot: I imagine looking at my thoughts as a train that goes way too fast. Then I imagine walking into the locomotive, sitting down at the controls and pulling back that huge handle that is the brake. Slowly, until the whole darn thing stops.
still dosen't I'll check that out. GN Flossy
Night Flosey
was that at me?
what, lady?
I still show the Tweety Bird there.
i don't know
you show Tweetie to me here as well, and when I click your profile, it is a black box again, chickie.
Um clue for teh KE 6 please
lol, lady. *hugs*. Here, that one is for you anyway.
yes chickie i see the bird here but on your profile its a black box
ke6: plural of ke5. Things I don't yet know are things beyond my ke*. Plus active verb.
huh?
huh?
when I click on my profile I still have Tweety. This is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!
chickie, and when you try force-refreshing your whole profile? (my account)
chickie I suspect this is an attention seeking thing!
I see if DR.God e-mailed me yet,be back soon.
nope not yet.......:(
did you try what I said, chickie?
huh
4.28 here ....wine o'clock!
make it a red, sandy... good for building up health!
help i don't gets it
I love red but it makes me sick so I will stick to a beautiful Australian sav sem
ke + consonant + how ** you **?
ca
sem sav
what
herin think to the left and then you Ke+++ it
OH if you said marshal arts
well, I didn't say martial arts.
I give up!
have you read any of my questions, chickie?
Hello! Sprite, so sorry not to see you, but the stickers arrived right in the middle of the party ad made for One Happy Boy!
hi MonkeyG! We hoped that might work :D Did Walter have a grand time?
Hope he is having a lovely day Monkey
He sure had a grand time!
yes and I tryed all of the instructions may it will still pop up. TY.................lol
I am so glad! We thought of you all a lot yesterday. Hated not being able to come, but it was the right thing to do. I am like something other people clean the floor with :)
Hi Monkey
I do understand. Wish we could find out just WHICH virus this is! Dang.
Hi Herin!
hi monkey :>)
waves hello
chickie: cleaning out the cache might work, followed by a reboot. After that, I wouldn't know either.
Hi Chickie!
MonkeyG, didn't you say it was something Californian?
Chickie your pc may have too many cookies
I'LL try that,thanks..lol
That is my theory, because Danny got mildly ill with it, I never got it, and your the incubation period matched Walter's IF we picked it up there. All that plus how many are sick at your end implies that Danny and I have previous exposure and the rest of you (Walter and your family) not. It all POINTS to it coming back with us!
hi, all. my husband just told me he had a dream that I was very happy Babbling, because there were over 550 words in the grid...
MonkeyG, I told Caya you said it was Californian and she totally beamed, lol. She said it sounded so cool :)
guess he is half right, Angel
Glad there's a bright side to it!
```````````~~~~~~~~~~~~~
lol, there always is, MonkeyG :)
oh poor Walter
He's totally fine now, Herin, but it looks like he gave it to Sprite's whole family. He WAS sick for just over 6 weeks, though.
cent
Ooppppss!!!!!
that is the way of viruses, MonkeyG. And with a good enough resistance we wouldn't have gotten ill, so don't feel bad, please. Things always happen for a reason.
I really mean it when I say Caya has matured in the last 2 weeks.
Thanks for being so understanding.
Oh opps
lol, stop it! I enjoyed our day together so much. Shit happens, and that is all there is to it. We will not spoil the memories. And we will make new ones soon.
It's a deal!
:D
Well at least you care enough to share
roflol lady :)
Hee, hee, hee! Good one!
always look on the bright side of life.
oh yes!
I love todays theme choice
Stuck for an O from teh lower right. Have kills, more than rarely, affront, adn affronts.
me too. And the things people do with it. Love your icon and text too, MonkeyG!
Thanks!
Do you have the porridge food?
Morning everyone, popping in for a while. How are you all.
morning all - on4 plural of first number
I'm going back to bed...good night all :>)
Ah, no! Thank you!!
nite chick
Thanks Kazz, other O but I needed that one too!
Finding myself confused on teh porrige.
Only Od I have is ***s to Joy, as well.
od is from the upper O
I cleaned my keyboard yesterday, and it works like new.
Sprite, wonderful, Icon. *Hugs*
thanks elder :)
good job, Angel
Sprite.. it is not a picture of my actual Henry the springer, but reminded me of him when I saw the image.
HI Elder and ANgel
I thought so, elder, but I meant your text.
Monkey, I found it. oc6. Ends in 1.
Thanks! Looking...
Holy K words batman good thing I brought a bottle of wind for Sprite, hello everyone
Yes.. Sprite... he was a wonderful dog , still missed.
Hi Melea
hi mel! You will not believe it, but I found all Ks within 15 minutes, and only had to ask if there were any Ks over K5.
Were there?
yes, one, MonkeyG. ke6.
very well done!
Thanks!
I bet, elder. It is always so sad to let a member of the family go.
Phantom: ketone
diving in be up for air and to chat in a bit
Phantom: ketch
Sprite.. um.. but great memories. :)
have fun, mel!
yay for great memories :)
BOO !
POUNCE
*EEEEEEEEK!*
**oof**
Found teh ke6... didn't realize you could plural that.
rofl, Hey Spritey, Herin !
lolll MonkeyG... you are an experienced babbler now. You should know to pluralise everything.
hiya Aussie :)
True, true. Any of the K words Dutch?
How are ya all ?
In recovery from last week. DOing fine.
only the shed combo, MonkeyG.
will brb, need to change my icon...
very sick atm, but nothing serious.
sHED COMBO?
Sorry...
Morning all, sorry about you who are ill.
Eating a cracker
hi red :)
HI Red
How is everyone?
lol, easy Monkey ;) Yes, the ke4/8 and 5/18 after the eager words are dutch words too. THey mean a kind of shed, or temporary shelter for construction men on a construction area.
43 left, red, very easy grid.
Oh, is THAT what those mean!?!
I have oh 122 left.
I have 105 left. Starting to stall out.
only in Dutch, MonkeyG. In english they mean young guinea fowl(s).
Well, OK then.
have 125 but nicky has 145
go sandy goooo!
What's the 8 look like?
go sandy
like meals you bring home from the restaurant, and the same word starting R.
Thanks!
yw :)
perhaps I should give in ...for her self esteem's sake
someone letting you win is bad for self esteem...
but I won't tell her...
or maybe I can't find anymore without lickety...
lol, now we are getting there, *evil grin*
I will keep going for a while yet
go beat her, and then tell her you take her serious enough as an opponent to actually try your hardest to beat her. Much better for self esteem, I'd say.
oh boy i am lost and DONT CHEAT
She is sooo good at all word games. She thrashes me at Scrabble and Upwords and I think i'm pretty good at those
byebye,guys.see you next time.
*finds lady* There you are, sweetie, right here with us.
bye lilian!
I would cheat but she is sitting right behind me so I can't!!!
herin, follow the trail of cracker crumbs
can I get a clue for the en7 please
Chrissie: what you find at the finish of a paper, book, etc.
phantoms are everywhere today. canon, canons, candor, naked...
etn a
always a bad day, when naked is a phantom.
ty sprite, new it had to be a fish!!
argh, stupid slow fingers. Am sorry guys. *shuffles off to PB*
sprite, putting a space in will not save you
*knew
compounds are never fishes, Chrissie :) They are always hard to find. For me anyway.
thanks sprite
I ated the crumbs too :D
Now Nikki is telling me my times up!!! Damn
(looks back and sees she wrote fishes. Argh.)
Working on it!
There is no te7...
And it is impossible to add **s to the end of the previous 4-letter te word...
crossy loves lookin at the ladies in corsets:) till the better half catches him
I've never experenced the guy walking into the telephone ple thing but I did get asked by an old friend how I knew the host at a party as he hadn't reconised me since I had lost to4 of weight :)
Had a really great day, Sister looked beautiful. She travelled in style to the wedding venue, in a 1937 Daimler.
And why not Aussie?
His face was a picture Aussie when I said it's me you twit!
Dream away!
mmm i cant type her response...
lol, I'm sure you can't.
How many words left to find Lori?
something about taking my bottom lip and pulling it over my forehead...
28, and Lickety is starting to whisper in my ear. ***I'm feeling weak***
Don't do it!! You can achieve nirvana w/o the list!
Food is calling but I will return, toodles.
anyways ladies,before i get into anymore trouble,im off to go hose down this mass of muscle for work,tc all and have a good day:)
Later FM, cross.
top of the morning to all .... Lori, it has been ages, how are you?
congrats Kazzer
ty - its quite a nice grid today - not too many strange words - though I didnt think the 8s were single words
good, maybe I won't struggle with it too much
I guess "nodsoff" is not a single word.
morning Inge2
hi Mom
Good morning Babblers!
good morning all
Scrabbler! Good morning, how was vacation?
good mornng WVTeach
Hi wvteach '
Scrabbs and WVTeach, hi
I was just reflecting on this vacation and it has been GREAT!
very good, Scrabbler. Did the weather cooperate for kayaking?
oh, kayaking, that sounds wonderful, Scrabs
morning all
good morning Per
I am exhausted. 2nd sleepless night in a row.
Peri* sorry
why Peri?
sorry to hear that Peri. Is this unusual for you?
well. I made 2 mistakes yesterday. had a cola drink with lunch and took a nap in the afternoon.
oh dear
no, it has been going on for years Mom. Don't always drink cola tho. Don't like to take pills altho I do have some Ambien
Yes, I kayaked 4 times. Yesterday I biked to the park and read next to the pond. My New Jersey sister left yesterday and then my local sister and her oldest son came down here yesterday afternoon and are still sleeping upstairs. We watched season 4 of "The Office" and laughed til it hurt.
bb in a min.
i wish i were like you, sc.
I cannot have caffeine after about 11 AM or else my sleep is disrupted.
most excellent, Scrabs
Why, Hurshy? And good morning to you!
you know, doing things, knowing what you like to do, enjoying things...
Scrabbler, that sounds delightful.
Morning Hurshy
I hear footsteps upstairs, time to go. Be back later. {hugs}} to all
But I am 49 and I started being truly happy and liberated of "angst" just in the last 10 yrs or less.
what was the turning point
Hurshy, you are in a different stage of life--still with uncertainties.
I know there is ra7/8 and ta7/8 but cannot see them. clues please
aren't there always uncertainties?
Never a truer word Scrabs dear, re yr 8.10 post. Hello to all, have been submerged in the see of green and yellow.
the holy see of green and yellow *grin*
Hi peri - they are umm unusual compunds that end on a hi score 3 letter word
Perhaps my faith in myself and God got strong enough that I feel that I, with God and friends, can handle anything. I have dealt with enough adversity and challenges that I know who I am and that I am strong.
ok, will look for compounds, thanks FM
Hi everyone. Peri - ta7 and plural 8 = what a plane does to get into the air. ra7 & 8 use a garden implement first but end the same as the t words.
The older I get the better I understand myself and I found that to be my key.
Yes, the Holy See--the Pope sets up these grids, right?
i think i can handle things, within reason... i mean, i dunno about torture or whatever, but, ordinary life... but the knowing who i am part is still missing
Hi Jacula
thanks Jac, and FM, never would have found them
LOL Scrabs Afternoon Jacs :)
It takes life experience to know who you are and to adopt a world view or philosophy.
oh yeah, i hold a ra7 with my neighbors every autumn...
Sometimes you ahve to stop analysing and just live it.
If I questioned everything I did esp recently I would go nuts. (OK nuttier) :)
i don't question everything i do so much as i just don't do anything.
bbl
It helps to accept that life is unfair and not easy. I have stopped fighting against the things that I cannot change. I can only control MY thoughts and behaviors, no one elses.
FIREWORKS for me.:-)
Yahooo Jacula!
Yay congrats Jacs!
So you are struggling with your purpose in life, hurshy?
20 left and time to pull out the list
Go FM go!!
yes, sc, have been for years, and it only seems to get worse
Thanks.:) I'd better go and do my share of the work again. We are cleaning windows & frames, washing curtains and nets, washing curtain hooks, ornaments etc. Also got to get dinner prepared.
Happy Babbling.
It's that sort of day Jacs, I've been soing similar'ish
When you finish, Jacula, will you come over here and help me with those chores too?
Sorry Scrabbs - you'll have to do your own.
We've discovered that a window in my daughter's old room needs replacing - the seal has gone in the double-glazed pane and it's full of condensation.:( Wondering whether to have all-house window change.
Are you done struggling with childhood and family issues, Hurshy?
nope
A double glaszing salesman is going to love you Jacs
I'd better go. See you all tomorrow.
I have a window like that too but fortunately it is a downstairs bathroom window so I don't care.
jacs, do you know how much that costs? i have a door with a broken seal wondering if i can afford to replace
Then you still have to accept things as they were/are, hursh.
morning all
Morning sadie
When you move past that stuff, Hursh, you will be more freed up to be you the adult.
Hi sadie
is it like pushing over a vending machine? sometimes i feel like i've accepted things but then i slip back into not. do you have to like, rock it a few times?
20 K words---ugh.
hiya Scrabbler
lol Scrabs just found the c variant to your kayaks
hiya FMitch
I finally accepted the past and let it go maybe in my mid- to late 30's.
TY, FM.
Well do4 Scrabs it took me to 40's to do that
it's hard to work on both accepting the past and grappling with the present at the same time
Thank you lickety for Fireworks!!
Books, therapy, friends, pastoral ministry school, life experience---> all helped.
Yahoo FM! You moved through those last 20 quickly!
Tell me! Ihad missed pl and easy words got all the hard ones, tsk!
Think I will go and make some cookies or flapjacks to celebrate, have the fancy for something sweet.
Enjoy, FM!
I'll make extra for the PB :)
list for 12. fish nonfish count... 1 non
hi everyone...peri, you have mail
Hi Owl
Good Morning to all!
TY, Owl.
hi woulf!
hmm, TO is having a linguistic epileptic attack
Go Hurshy GO! 160 to go for me.
Haha, great description, Husrhy.
2 fish, 2.5 nonfish
morning GreyWoulf
2 fish, 3.5 nonfish
oh dear, i should be adding halves to both counts
now i've lost track
I am just stopping in to say hi while on my way to get directions to Six Flags
reconstructed, 3.5 fish, 4.5 nonfish
Hi Grey Woulf!!
3.5, 5.5
How do you define a half-fishy word?
oh, pf4 for instance
words that i COULD have gotten but don't really blame myself for not getting
4.5, 5.5
I also thought I would take the opportunity to update any of the (for me) morning babblers who hadn't heard about my mother in law
6.5, 5.5 is the final tally, shoot. i hate when fishy outnumbers nonfishy
for those unaware, last week she had a heart attack that put her in the hospital over the weekend.
TY for the pf clue
Uh, oh, GW, how is she doing?
She was admitted Friday morning and discharged on Monday morning, so overall she got off fairly lucky -- they had to install two stents to restore proper blood flow and she is doing fine
So you are done, hurshy? Congrats!!
Yes, she is lucky.
give her our best wishes, gw
She just finds that she gets tired a bit more quickly than she used to, but overall she is pretty much the same person that went into the hospital -- just a bit more willing to listen to her daughter, the nurse, about getting pain checked out by the medical professionals
Thanks, hurshy -- I will do that -- she has been very impressed by the support that everyone has been expressing since last week
So I hate to pop in and out like this, but I need to get the family ready for our trip -- the company picnic this year is to Six Flags and this time I want to get there in time for lunch
It is scary stuff to have heart problems.
Enjoy the day, GW.
Last year it was at Hershey Park and due to traffic and poor scheduling by the park, by the time we got there, lunch was over
best wishes to your mother-in-law GreyWoulf have fun at six flags
Thanks again to everyone, and please share the good news with those who ask -- I had been hoping to catch FMitch this morning, but she left just before I got here
{{{***Hugs***}}} for all *poof*
awww, too bad I missed GreyWoulf! We had hubby's company party at six flags yesterday!
Hi asg
I just drove past our local Six Flags a few days ago.
It was a blast... fortunately my kids were still a bit too short for Kingda Ka, so I got to be cool and go on El Toro with them, and not be uncool by not going on Kingda Ka!
Hi Scrabs - we don't overlap much in here anymore! I'm not doing the grid - too big, and too lovely a day - was just popping in to see the size
I am going to stop when I get to halfway---10 more.
good for you Srabs - enjoy it! I'm off - coffee and then pick-up at religious school - then some outside time for all! ttyl - hagd!
Bye, asg.
I am past halfway, so time for the newspaper and breakfast. Good bye lurkers.
Bye!
Hi MG--I checked back to see if any lurkers revealed themselves. How are you and Walter doing?
OK. Walter just had his birthday, the forst day of school (always the day after the 4th birthday) and then his borthday party. Today we rest! Well, we try...
Hi Monkey! I'm lucking too, we have 10 little girls here celebrating Natalie's 9th birthday. They are all in watching a Flipper movie so I have a rest for a few minutes.
Oh, what fun!
Hope Walter had a WONDERFUL time on his special days.
Oh, I'm "lurking" not lucking...
Hey Scrabbs, did you hear Walter gave his mystery virus to Sprite's whole family?
Hi Marmar.
Hi Scrabs
Oh, no, MG!!
Yes, Marmar, he had a great time, including at school. They said they've never seen a kid adjust and dive in quite so fast. He's still talking about it. He starts for teh full week tomorrow.
How exciting to start preschool.
Yup. Rob's OK, but Sprite and both kids ahve been ill for some time. All the same symptoms, blood tests showing nothihg.
I really must go now--blood sugar is plummeting and I need breakfast.
I have decoided we must have brought it from CA. They got it the same amount of time after we visited that we had been back when Walter fell ill, so the incubation period supports that.
Bye everyone.
Oh that's great....so young but good for him. You know the Germans, they wait until the kids are "ripe" sometimes they are overripe!
lso my husband got the sore throat but nothing else, I didn't get sick.
OK, bye!
Bye Scrabs, guten appetite.
Or should I say Gluten appetite!
For the record, if you scroll back, the way I am clear and Danny didn;t et much gives me the idea that we had already been exposed; we are from CA, so that would exlain why all these Dutch people, including Walter, are so hard hit.
Hey Marmar, do you have the ca5/12 right after teh things beans come in?
...or gluctose appetite...I'm taking it too far, aren't I?
Maybe...
Yes Monk
Can you clue it? It's driving me absolutely mad!
Do you need a clue?
Has to do with music and po4/5-ry
Thought I had all those... hmmmm. Looking...
Thing beans come in plus not from? Have that.... what am I not seeing?
and the ca6/21 is it plural
Have it, then. No, I need another ca5/12. Oh well. Thanks, though!
oh, that's what I was talking about. Is there another one? I never use the list anymore.
I went to the list with 20 left. Now I have 18 left... This one's my last C. Sigh.
OK, howzabout the first do5/12?
Not the recipient of a gratuity, that I have.
monkey, add a vowel to the bean containers
Woohoo! Thanks! C's gone.
Would've sworn I tried that. Clearly not!
ho5/12 that isn't sharpens?
no, I'm still puzzled about the ca...I have the bean holder, then the one that sound like 'unable to', then the music and rhymed verse...
good morning - got 150 without the list, i'm going to take it to the LIMIT without lickety
Cameron just clued it, Marmar.
Hi Josh!
clearly, I've been stupified by all these little guests running around here all day...I gotta go take care of them now. Bye everyone!
Have fun!
Ho6, then? Anyone?
abe lincoln,s nickname
ho6 - being without guile
Thank you!!!!
So howzabout that ho5/12 that is not sharpens?
German plural ending for the fireman's equipment
Thanks!
H's down! 13 left!
Afternoon Haz et al Back from the kitchen.
ta5/10? The one after the beige colors...
Hi FMitch!
hi all
Hello there - yes, just waiting for one load to finish so that I can put the next load into the dishwasher.
color+ -- and fro
Thanks!
lol I meant me Haz
Hi MG
T's down, 11 left!
How many were you catering for today, the ususal?
Ooooh! Sorry, I've just been consumed by all things kitchen for the past while.
Just 6 of us so it wasn't too bad.
Share you delsih menu pretty pplease :))
OK, time to get back to work. Will be back for that last 11 later. Have fun all!
Toodles MG
Okay, we started off with minestrone soup and ciabatta bread, followed by roast lamb and mint sauce, roast potatoes, baby boiled potatoes, leeks/bacon, butternut squash and sweet potato, finishing with lemon cheesecake with mixed berries. Tea and co6.
Ohhhhhhhh
There were clean plates so I reckon it was okay.
OK? A wonderful Sunday repast!
My major headache is always keeping everything piping hot.
Yes, uness you have more than 4 rings to cook on there can be a bit of juggling to consider
FM...did you see GreyWoulf's post earlier?
In my dream House I owuld have a gas cooker/hob and an arga (sp)
I don't, so it does involve juggling. Still, it worked this time so I can relax again.
No phae, did I miss the dear chap?
Yes, he wanted everyone to know that his mother-in-law was doing better and is out or will be out of the hospital
Oh magic, thanks for letting me know I will look back in the archive.
YW
Back shortly, time to switch loads.
Haz meant to stop at the train station this morning and check on times etc, will do that tomorrow and then give you a ring Mon or Tues so we can start to get Sat sorted (tries not to get too excited yet)
**do4 a happy dance anyway**
you guys meetingup?
LOL how did you guess, Ata's is hopefully joining us too
**do4 another happy dance**
phone brb
good morning fmitch,bfsog and haz
Hi west
Imagine the tea party we could have with your icon west! Very elegant affair.
it is pretty isn't it?
Like the butler idea :)
everyone should have one don't you think?
Of course, who do4'nt!
Used to have a lovely lady who would come and clean and iron, utter bliss.
ooh lucky you what happened to her did someone kidnap her?
And I'm back.
did you run off to polish your silver haz?
A t'was a long time ago, much too expensive these days. wb Haz
I've scrolled back, Fmitch, so got your message about train times etc.
:)
Back briefly! I cannot for the life of me see the an5 and 6! Little help?
hello briefly monkey how was Walter's party?
the electrode or terminal by which current enters an electrolytic cell, voltaic cell, battery, etc
Exhausting but fun!
an5 - descriptive of a type of poetry - This is an5/12 written by Keats....
Oh DUH, thanks FMitch.
good to hear
ty from me too mitch and haz
LOL Haz
The pinata was a great hit; ofcourse tehse kids had never seen one happen.
Thanks as well Haz!
9 left...
You're welcome.
44 left - still going strong without the list
Did you take any pics before it was destroyed MG?
Oh yes! Not spending that many days on something with no evidence!
having lived in CA we always do pinatas for the little ones
josh todays challenge is get to 20 before listing
Sprite sent Walter some puffy kitty stickers that arrived during the party, too. Really made his day.
i accept that challenge
were Walter's presents enough to make up for the lost orange lid?
Go josh!
Yeah, when I was little we just drove down to Mexico and bought one! Now I'd have to fly for 14 hours.... So I made it.
I did that! The list challenge, I mean. Was NOT easy.
too
sprite and company didn't make it
?
Soooo... sn5/20? The one right after "the hunting of the " critter
Yes, made up entirely for (since forgotten) lid. No, Sprite and family are still too ill with Walter's Mystery Virus, sadly.
Walter is of course fully over it, himself.
she said she didn't think they'd make it although Caya seems to be feeling better
isn't that a relief
sn5/20 - something between meals or sn5/20 change a vowel in the one I just clued
relief about Walter I meant
awful when littles get sick
i don't have either of the 8's - are they compound words?
Yes, slightly unexpected pairings
Yes, in a funny sort of way. ta8/90 describes the upward motion of planes?
I thought they were 2 seperate words but enable knows better
!*!FIREWORKS!*!
ra8 - exactly the same save for the first letter.
yay for phae
Congratulations phae.
Congtrats phae
ahh, got both of them and their singulars - thanks for the tip
ty haz and mitch
You're welcome.
Thank you! Have a good morning/day/evening everyone!
i've typed tendon so many times, why can't i stop thinking it's in there?
I was so happy to see my fav beverage in the grid co6/39
Hi again, sorry, phone rang. Did anyone ask me anything?
That was my first word, West. I had a too-hot cup in my hand when I saw it.
no lol
Was there a clue for that sn? Should i scroll back?
daughter and husband returned yesterday from Ireland and Belgium hope to talk to them today and find out all about it unless they're wiped out
look at 10.16
what you eat between meals
Thanks!
How long were they away for west?
Cool, it was teh changed vowel option. Thanks!
they left 6 Sept got back 20 Sept so a nice long time
wow , they will have much to share then!
she said it was the rainiest time in 30 years
nothing to do but duck into pubs lol
yup, it has been bad. Shuch good thinking :))
Any particular reason why Ireland and Belgium?
they went with his mother and dad, 2 brothers, one gf and his sister to Ireland the side trip to Belgium they did on their own wanted to sample the beer
LOL
I know oh to be young and carefree
I'd go to sample the chocolate
are all the o's on the right column of's?
yes
There's an oc
oops your right MG
got it - thanks. i could not imagine more of possibilities over there
monkey how is sam doing?
Still weaker and more tired than when he got ill, but overall recovered and still improving.
he's home then?
Oh yes, for more than a week. Home is an excellent small care facility in Berkeley, very near my aunt's house.
that should be good for his recovery then
Yes, he is very glad to be back with his books and computer!
OK, got to go. I'll be back for my last 6 later!
26 left, losing steam ever so slightly
happy to hear he has a computer not too many older folks like them
hi all! any help for Cr6 & 7 pair please?
doing great josh I got 101 in a flash then hit the wall
westford, change one letter in the waxy colored sticks you can use to draw or color
ty josh it was I that asked
thanks josh but it was pugmama
uh, duh, sorry pugmama
I needed them too lol
is en7 a fish?
you killed two birds with one stone and I think that's an awful saying by the way
en7 appears to be the 7 i'm missing
Not really - finish a musical term for something found at the back of a book
that one always made me cringe too
that clue went whoosh right over my head!
ditto
hello, all. just hit the wall.
Sorry, it's a compound, finish - a musical term.
ty haz tried appendix but it just didn't work
ahhh, ty haz, got it
First three letters are to finish, last four letters are musical, or can be related to a short letter?
also if you are reading an academic article, the en7s come in small type after the conclusion paragraph
clue for the to5/12 and 6/21?
hands skooj cold compresses
ty vm
2 to go
thx, west. :)
help for the oc6 please?
to5/12 - run together a heavyweight (three letters) then a word of command '** as you are told!)
tyvm haz
missing 2 7's, have cr7, en7, of7, 2xra, so7 & ta7. What am I missing?
oc6 - reach a single number by way of a consonant.
beauty clues, haz! thx. got it.
Good, recovering from yesterday's birthday party.
Old English . .
Hee hee! At least I have some prep time.... It'll take you about 14 hours to get here for it.
Hmmmmmmm.......
hi monkeyG and everyone!!!
Add a letter to the one before it ..
Ah, thanks!
Ottthhhheeerrrrr Mmmmmooonnnnkkkkeeeyyyyy!!
MonkeyG, how's your back????
can I get help with that ra 7/68 I can't find it?
MUCH better, but not recovered enough for some activities. Problem is I only have four more treatments before I run out of insurane. We can switch to a better insurer in January...
Boobear, "stewardesses prepare for ....." but start it with an R instead.
monkeyG, see if your therapist will let you spread out those four remaining treatments for maximum potential... like go once a wekk for 4 more weeks
You know that massage thing you folks do that actually pulps muscle? I have lots of big blue spots on my back now... but I don't limp and i can sit in normal chairs...
that. I go tomorrow, then next Monday, etc.
I have exercises, too.
That was supposed to say, "Already doing..." etc.
So... ANYONE have the so5 and 6 right after the ship-pinger beep, beep word? They're my Last Two!
OK good for you, mG! :) sorry you have blue spots but it sounds like you're on the road to recovery
Definitely. And I can handle the blue spots except when he makes the samd spot bluer the next week... ouch! But I have a high pain tolerance, that's how I end up letting things get really bad before I get treatment.
hi, monkeys! so 5 is the same first three letters of the pinging word + spanish "of" (Don Quijote ** la Mancha)
How did I miss those on all these tries???? Thank you and fireworks!!!!!!
congrats, MonkeyGames!
got it Monkey. ty vm
Thanks! Don't get to it much these days so it's nice. Took most of today "off, you see, to recover fromWalter's whirlwind week last week and restore a sense of normalcy around here. Whatever that is.
Oh good, boobear!
My phantom of the day has been "fetish".
I tried that too
And tendon.
festoon ..
Good one!
I found a sn word that I used to play along time ago
can I have a clue for the p in the corner - I have po 4 and 5 (a pair)
And of course my eyes INSIST on looking for more words when I have them all. Sigh. I will soon muster up the wherewithal to go pack Walter's lunch for tomorrow (his first take-to-school lunch! His first full schoolweek!)
Sure, one sec..
Ahhh, you need pf4.
Not kidding. If you need a further clue, which is likely, let me know.
have fun, MonkeyGames - special lunchbox for the first school lunch?
thanks, got it! and said it out loud when I did
Dora! Found one that isn't all girly. He got a Diego backpack to carry it in for his birthday Thursday. Here they start public school the day after the fourth birthday.
oh, that's interesting about the 4th birthday - so new students are coming in all year round, I guess
that would create some minor chaos here - we have a very firm cut-off, must be 5 by Oct. 15 for Kindergarten
Yes. Any that start too late to get the full advantage start again the next year in the same grade, but with an edge.
could someone give me a clue for the ta7/68 please?
But with a September birthday Walter will always be one of the youngets kids in any given class.
that sounds very reasonable, Monkey and very good for all
harp - airplane start (compound word)
Airplane leavingh the ground, Harp.
Can start the same word with another letter for another 7, andpluralize both for 8's.
I found Walter a FANTASTIC school, too!
good for you - is the 4-year-old class considered pre-K or Kindergarten, or will he go two years before first grade?
thanks
It's a public school, with 150 students. Very modern facilities, computers even for the tiny tots, big playground, emphasis on personaldevelopment, elements of learn-at-own-pace. The kids sit in circles, with more experienced kids paired with less.
if you had an invention which you wanted to be taken seriously where would you take it for advice/validation
This is just called "class 1".
It's equivalent to kindergatren.
Very good question, bf. I'mnot sure, but let me know ehen you find out!
sounds wonderful, Monkey, and of course the key element is the teacher who brings out the best in all these little ones - hope Walter loves her!
Walter will attend this school until he is 12, then go to what they callmiddle school, where he will decide between a vocational, technical,or academic diploma. He will graduate at 16 with a two-year advantage over US students (which turned out to be a BIG hurdle when I applied for college here).
He's only been to one day but he was very happy with her, and so was I.
The headmaster is just lovely, too.
So do most university students in the Netherlands begin at age 16 then? it's fine if they're all the same age
Most of them take a year to backpack around Europe first.
my son started college here at 17, one year younger than everyone else, created many problems
I can see how that would. But they start there younger here, all of them.
I love the idea of the gap year - I think my son would have benefited from that -
So wouldI,I tell you! I coulduse one now, in fact...
Akkk, heron nearly hit the window. Waht a lot of legs!
Not as startling as the swan that nearly hit the windowlast year, though.
My space bar appears to be unhappy.
yikes, we had a robin hit the window here, made quite a thump (bird was OK)- can't imagine a heron!
could I have a clue for the en 7?
please
is your house right on the water, Monkey?
En7: last bit of text in a book, compound word
thank you and pass the fish
No, but in the Netherlands one is never far fromit. We have the canal at one end of the street,the mini-canals by the cow foield at the other end, and on the other side of the houses behind outrs there is the nature preserve full of ponds and canals and streams and bogs.
It's a short street, too.
Not to mention the bulb fields just over there; they attract lots of things herons eat, like frogs. And the Egyptian geese gather in the cow field, as does our tiny flock of Canada geese. Moistly what we have now for geese though is big flocks of Brent geese on their way from somewhere else to somewhere else.
Saw a red squirrel yesterday.
That was in a tree at the edge o fthe dog woods.
I live near a river and we see waterfowl there, too, but not in my immediate neighborhood - once in a while we see a hawk, I swear it's the same one I've been seeing for years - must find out what their lifespan is
Around 20 years or so.
omg, I just looked it up - 10-21 years!
I call him "exit 10 Red" - lives around the New Jersey Turnpike exit - see him on the way to or from work
Yes, they are not short lived.Our most exotic birds right here are the two macaws, 20+ years old, and their 1-year-old.
Is he a Harris Hawk, then,or a redtail?
red-tailed hawk
Nice.
Not even sure you get Harris hawks there... but they're red.
OK, time to call my grandfather, packWalter's lunch, take the dog out, and get ready for bed! Anyone need any last minute clues?
i've seen him up in northern nj too jbv!
thanks, Monkey - have a great day!
Hello, MetFan.
Vicuna, as a lot of Babblers know, I can be incredibly dense at times. 2nd part of en7/32 makes m no sense. Clarify, please???
How are you, Vicuna?
A chord is made up of ****s
Thank you, MetFan. I'll tell her you said so. It'll compensate a bit for the fact that we always tell her she's an idiot! lol
Awww, she's so cute....
=)
...even if she's dumb, so what!!!
But she comes when I whistle, so her little walnut-sized brain is good for that, at least.
Cute compensates for all else....
In cats, at least. Not so much in people.
Oops. PB for me again.
Anyway, time for me to be off. Glad to be of service, Katie McG! Bye, all.
i live in a simple time. haha
"Goodbye" was one of the first two 45s I ever bought....
Metfan.. ah, was it?, I bow to your music knowledge:)
My little fuzzball is still doing pretty good. He's on five different meds a day. The chicken is a good hiding place for the crushed pills. He's still very active. Right now he's purring and trying to walk on my keyboard. Getting lots of love and attention, of course.
alas thats all you can do . make him as comfy & happr as possible
PB for you, Pini!!!!
True true. Alas. Two broken hearts here.
Sorry for your loss, pug, and for your cat's diagnosis, judi.
Sorry for your loss, pug, and for your cat's diagnosis, judi.
My cat died suddenly last wednesday...
oh, gosh, I'm sorry Pam...you ok?
Thanks, Pam. Oh no! What happened to your kitty, Pam?
oh (((((pam)))))) sorry honey!
thanks, pini and Judi
Thanks, Pug
Pam, I am so sorry for your loss.
I got home from work and found her by her food dish. She was a few weeks over 18 years old. She had been radiated a few years ago for her thyroid but seemed pretty well adjusted...
thanks, gapeach
Awful for all of you who have lost their pets or comforting them during their frailness.
oh ((pam)) sorry to hear that
Kittys bring a lot of peace in life........lol
thanks, elder adn dorens
That's sad, Pam. 18 is an exceptional long life for a cat, though. Bless her little heart.
at least she lived a good long life in a good loving home ..... rest her soul
hi pam - sorry for your loss. one of my cats has the thyroid issue. would you rec. the radiation treatment?
thanks, all....
That's what damaged my kitty's heart - high fever from the thyroid (undiagnosed before the fever). Arrg.
yes, pk, I would. It was cheaper over the long haul than the meds and quarterly testing
Sorry, judi....
so how are you doing pam?
to5,12 to6,21 ... last 2 plz
I've heard the radiation if 100% effective.
*is*
don't ask today, dorens! I threw my back adjusting the shower temp, I miss my cat, and the dog is needing new meds, including Prednisone for a short course, so I will have to deal with her being a pee machine....
It really worked great, judi
my good friend's dog is on prednisone right now... fortunately they can let him stay in the garage and roam outside (they have a fenced in large property).. i know what you mean. anyway, chin up.. this too shall pass... rest that back tho
Should I ever have another cat with a thyroid problem, I'll go that route.
ty pinik for that clue. got it.
thanks, dorens! It isn't safe to keep dogs around here outdoors--theft, weather--and I don't like the notion of a dog outdoors unsupervised, so I think i will be cleaning her crate a lot...
yw mkg
no, i realize that - they fortunately live out in the woods in a safe area... with their fence particularly. HEY.. i just got back from a walk in the woods and a young bear ran in front of us, across the path. he was amazingly fast
mine with the thyroid problem is almost 15. the vet said $2,500 for the radiation. Seems a little on the high side. Her pills are maybe $20 for a 3 month supply.
i've got the best of both. doggie door leading to fenced area with no gate
There are so many people who love and dote on their pets and treat them like the fur kids they are, it sucks that we always hear about the other end of the spectrum, the ones that abuse.....
Cool, Dorens! Where do you live?
yes all the border line sociopaths with no regard for other living beings
northern new jersey.. they were all but extinct here 25 years ago
but i've got a greyhound with the opposite problem, too bad i can't do a blood transfer and even them both out!
Wow! I'm in northern Delaware. No bears here - too crowded with humans.
Wow, dorens!!! that's cool
od 5 clue please?
nm got it.
The radiation was 900. The pills would have cost whatever, but then there is quarterly blood panels with the pills. Yani was 14 I think when we did it--the radiation ended up being far cheaper.
it really was.. he was far enough away for it to feel totally safe, but close enough to see well. at first i thought it was a large black dog offleash. this was more fun.
a type of poem + not off, but **
sounds like i need to find a different vet who charges less!
My thoughts go out to those who are feeling down; cheers to all regardless...2 more to finish, but will have to wait until I return...ttfn *poof*
I agree, Met. We hear about all of the horrors. But there is a lot of benign neglect--dogs outdoors with no water, shelter; dogs not getting enough exercise, etc. Not to mention all of the chained dogs...
it's true those blood test are quite expensive.
Thanks pini
gotta run.. to 5/12 please please
ra 7 68 please?
my town recently passed a city ordinance that dogs may not be tied up, ever! makes me proud of my town.
found it fireworks bye all!
pk--I went to a radiocat where that's what they do. If there is such a place near you, it is cheaper than a vet
thank you!
LOL red :D
lol, red
LOLOL, red
Was it hot, is that why they were dropping off?
It's still in the 90's here.
if that would only happen on election day!
speaking of politics, i'm wearing this today: http://tinyurl.com/5kxvnv
They gave out a great deal of tickets, and wouldnot allow chairs coolers or water in for security reasons...
yes, water is so dangerous.
it's a balmy 47 here.
That's just nuts, red...
it got to almost 80 here today, but it's in the 60s now.
I remember Key West in September -- 90F in temperature, 90% humidity -- thank goodness for swimming in the sea, not in sweat!
I thought it was a bad plan, Herd up a Bunch of Senior Citizens into an outdoor venue in 90 degree weather. and dont allow them things liek water, coolers chairs umbrellas.
mid 70s here, now high 70s and drizzling
ugh, how awful, red.
But there is so so much money in The Villages in Florida that it was worth it for the Reps.
VERY bad plan!
genius points there Red!
hehehehe, DC i like it!
we were painting a friend's big house -- circa 1968
SO yeah, I want them as my leadership???
that is a great shirt DC!
i thought it was clever when i saw it, and had to have one, dawg :)
HOT here
how awful, red.
Kje!!! Hi....Mr Socks asked me out on a date....
finally!!!!
confusion reigns!!! LOL
is that a good thing, red?
I myself am unsure.
well, worth a dinner at least, i hope :)
Breakfast sadly.
a nice breakfast can be as lovely as a dinner.
better that you know, red... then you can wash him outta your hair : )
je ponse, donc je suis.
LOL kje :)
I figured it would be fun, and I have to admit, I do really like him despite his rather long list of shortcomings.
gee i waas asked out for a stroll around new hope and lunch/dinner. i declined, toomuch time for firtst date. i prefer meeting up for lunch or cocktails for first time.
well, go and have a good time red!
agreed, TO
Well, We have known each other for a long time.
well, best with it, red :)
that's different.
that's when you plan to have a friend call you 1 hour in and offer an out if needed TO : )
that is always a plus!
Lunch/Dinner is too much time...especially if it is a date date, At least I already knkow that Dr. Socks and I have a lot to chat about it...
He is rather a tool though.
Dr. socks?
howso a tool?
Well, TO, can you shorten the time spent?
tool?
In the jerky sense, he is a jerk, but I am still going to have breakfast with him.
well, some jerks are likable...
tough and chewy? well -preserved? musty and smokey?
He's likable, but who knows.
and some jerks at work are quite lovely at home.
watching the news and the farewell to Yankee Stadium...a little tale to bore you with...little Brit me, age 13, fresh over from England in 1940, taken by an American uncle to a ball game there featuring the Yankees, says "Do they really call them Yankees?" "Why do you ask?", says uncle. "Well, isn't it insulting?" says ignorant moi.
Oh no, hes been sort of a jerk to me...but I think hes that way because he is not used to dating and doesnt know whats totally wrong and what isnt.
FUnny Jilli!!!!
LOL jilli
outta the mouths of babes, jilli
OK, I'm done now, so off to do other things - later all!... and I'll be waiting for the update, red : )
LOLOl, jilli
ciao, kje
bye kje...
hey, before I go, does anyone know a really good computer recipe management system?
ttfn kje :)
i use an Excel Workbook, kje.
web-based would be cool, but even a one computer model would be useful
jasper likes Safeway brand potato and egg salad.
oh, brb, kje
oooh. My favorite beverage is in the grid.
ugh DC, I am trying to avoid that... was thinking about Access also, but would prefer something already set up
can't help you out, kje. don't use a lot of recipes.
kje - have you looked here? http://www.grouprecipes.com/
my favourite grain is in the grid!
ty, jac and jill ( i couldn't resist)
and thanks, TO, I've bookmarked that lookup site for future reference
Favourite female writer? Gosh, that's a tough one, to pick out just one. I guess Mary Wesley would be high on my list.
it can come in handy for several tasks
fav female writer. hm. that's a tough choice. maybe i'll find time to make a collage
red, put sprite in your My Friends and you can keep up with the icon themes -- or go to Icon Themes (Babbler's former site) and she gives the link to Sprite's profile and the themes.
We know who nut's fave is
i shall do....female writer? who to choose?
my fav is virginia woolf and i just found all of my books yesterday!
we sure do jilli!
hi ren :)
nice ren! gee ren how is your beach house?
Hi Renny.
hi, renny :) congats on finding the books!
Nothing like finding all your books again, is there? It's like a reunion with old and new friends.
sold owl - we sold everything except my parent's house
hi mistress and sean
wow are you glad
i actually think mine is agatha christie...not so highbrow...
yo move to hurricane central and dodge one
yes - my mil beach house was sold too and the are a was flattened
Nowt wrong with Agatha Christie, red. I love her books, too.
i know owl - i've been playing dodge ball w. the hurricanes
agatha christie is a fine writer
wow ren - you and the mez have had enough bad luck i'd say, things have to look up
Was a fine writer, dcs. LOL. Sorry, just being pedantic.
ty, jac, for the correction.
anyone here like mary sinclair?
Apparently as a person she was a bit odd. I have read Mary sinclair.
LOL, DCS. It's a 'was' with Mary Wesley, too.
I also Love Eudora Welty...WHy I live at the PO.
and mary mccarthy
i like historical fiction.
I like Ursula K LeGuin and Margaret Atwood a lot.
i also like the woman who worte the ted bundy bio - she writes other true crime stories
thought Mary Sinclair was an actress
I like Ursula K LeGuin and Margaret Atwood a lot.
Okey, I am falling asleep after a long day of Fainting republicans. and I guess I was thinking of a different Sinclair!
Ruth Rendell is another I like.
It's Ok to be a big fan DC.
Owl, rhymes with the noise a dog makes when he greets you
Everyone please keep your fingers crossed that I get offerred some good job tomorro, of some sort.
c + Noah's vessel, TO.
yay! E, F, and T greyed!
It means to 'die' in Brit slang... to ca** it.
*crosses all monkey fingers for red*
female writers...Patricia Cornwell, Mercedes Lackey, Jane Austen, Bronte Sisters, Agatha Christie,
new one for me Jac, I will try to work it into conversation.
ty jacs i want to watch the game. yogi's in hte pressbox
I'd like to say my fav is my mom...but she hasn't published yet...just written for later distribution..until then, I've posted the bio for Maya Angelou in my profile...thx Jilli!
I never knew it actually meant to fret, worry and be burdened with troubles until I just looked it up!
it's as if the f o words don't exist for me...
lbd, i agree with yours and I'll add Sylvia Plath and Daphne du Maurier
Octavia E Butler did lovely work, too.
how exciting, Pav. hope she will publish for all of us to enjoy
I agree with both of those, lilmonkey, though Plath was a bit gloomy.
hi awg. can someone please clue the fo words?
that's putting it mildly, Jac
not a big fan of plath, but yes with Du Maurier and Angelou too.
though plath did wonders for raising awareness of mental illness.
I also like (on a more contemporary note) Ann Beattie
I'd like to say my favourite female writer is ME, and I am published, but all I do when I read my own stuff is want to re-edit it!
i'm fo4 of chocolate
I'm not real fo** of silvia plath
Is she the sci-fi writer, lilmonkey? The name rings a bell.
all FOs share 1st 3 letters.
ty dawg, i am done with them
no Jacula, she is considered a "minimalist" writer of contemporary fiction
a new female, fantasy author i've read is karen miller, she's an aussie!
i am missing the silliest words, ones where i have the one before and after - monkey words
i mean the style is called minimalist...
Ah, thanks monkey, I must be thinking of a different author.
i am missing 84 money words.
monkey words that is.
Like the French for 'pig. TO but without the 'c' at the start and with a vowel at the end.
Sorry, scrabs....
My mom has written her autobio in a series of short stories for kids, but only in Spanish, as she discovered while getting her teaching dgree, there aren't many children's books written in SPanish available in the US. I was able to see a few...I think she's providing them for us when she dies..not one for accolades, so it seems to fit...
stiff and tired here, scrabs.
Well, I have to earn money in order to enjoy what I want in life.
ty now missing so5/10 the first
exhausted from the weekend visit by the Parental Units, scrabs
I'm having night and day sweats (again), Scrabb! That's why I'm up at 2.41am. Sorry to hear your hol is over - that's grim.
lbd - I know what you mean. My Dad was never criical of me, but he died some years ago and I think of him every day, and I know I will do same of my Mum when the time comes.
eggplant parm is da bomb!
I do, too, scrabs. LOVE it
definitely can appreciate the mixed feelings there, Pav
scrabs, it was the feast of st pio. they had his glove and another relic
OK fine, no more sharing
Yes, as much as my mother's phone calls make me crazy, I will miss them when she is gone.
poor stid is fatally allergic to eggplant
nonono, still share, Lil.
my friend pooh is too, jill
You struck a nerve, lil*monkey.
Is eggplant, aubergine?
yes, jac
eggplant is in the nightshade family i believe
yes, jac
Share as much as you want, monkey.
hi all, and happy to be here on a 217 kind of day 8-)
Hi gwen
I have 19 left
it's the plight of parents to make their children crazy. i think it's called paybacks. ;)
hi, gwen!
hi Gwen
hi book
hi scrabs
Ah, I mus be sure never to serve that to her should she ever come to my house. *Makes note to make moussaka with tomato base, as usual, since only myself and daughter like aubergines anyway.*
Jill, how is your eye doing?
well. if no one needs lifesaving assistance (with words), I'm stepping out to fix my dinner...veggies with potatoes and STEAK!..once a month meal..for the iron i evidently need....
Bye PAV
enjoy, pav
See ya, Pav. Enjoy the steak.
have fun, pav....
doing just fine, scrabs, thanks -- never saw so clearly with it ever!
back in a nonce...
I'll be right over for dinner, pav :)
I didn't know about your cataract op, jilli, until I read it on Facebook.
My aunt got a corneal transplant on Sept 9th and is hoping for success.
hope that goes well,scrabs!
nonce -- was playing scrabble years ago with in-laws -- put down "nonce" -- they said "no such word" and there was no dictionary to back me up.
Now you're all bright-eyed again perhaps we can play some faster paced word games? Incidentally, our Scrabulous game seems to be frozen. Same thing has just happened to a new game Hydra and I just started on there.:(
Everyone I know who has had cataract surgery is pleased with the results
nonce is such a nice word.
same here, pam, cataract surgeries are good successes.
jac, how about doing a Wordscraper on Facebook -- can be the same as Scrabulous
HI
hi, lady!
Jilli - *blush* I can't work out how to play Wordscraper.
I have a friend who needs a corneal transplant and is afraid
Hi Herin.
hi, herin
brb -- second eyedrops needed
Any fans of "The Office" here? I watched (and re-watched) season 4 on the DVD box set--laughed my a$$ off with my sisters.
st5/18 before the dictation taker please?
How are you all
Hi herinfernallady
Jilli - your friend being afraid re and eye op is not unusual. Most people shrink from the thought of their eyes being cut into.
Hey Scrabbler why the looooooooong name today?
jac, I guess we just have to set up a board to be like scrabble -- or a variation. Dc knows how (hint)...
I decided to use your full name, lady
Ok HUGS
te6/21 hi fern
st5/18 means to shut or close a window but is also a steelworking word. Red meat with a diff. 2nd vowel.
TY, Jac
Scrabbler you have been very proud of a 15 year old not panicking and calling an ambulance when her 8 year old brother jumped through a window (he was bouncing on the bed)
Yikes, lady---how is he?
this game is impofeckt -- i get no points for pofekt! LOL
is he okay, lady?
Scrabbs - I've neer found 'The Office' (UK version) funny, probably because I once worked in offices just like it.
hi, scrabbs
it's poifekt, pam, no?
one to go te6/21
I have never watched the Brit version, Jac, but I will soon.
add high card to number, TO
He is ok. Very lucky. One of those 2 mil over and he would have a spinal injury. He is at home resting. He is on holidays at the moment
Yahoo Owl!
HI OWL to.
little miss moffet sat on her noffet? no??
te6.21 was my last word, TO. Nmber + high card.
And he is a knucklehead too, lady. what a story!
belated hello to herin :)
it's poifick
ty ty ty! must go watch final yankee stadium game good night and ty all for the clues!
Yes Kids. I have never ever ever ever understood one of two things: One having beds near windows with kids and Two the glass not being laminated or shattering like shower glass
Hi Jill to.
house i grew up in the windwos were tiny.
Sometimes, at least in UK houses, which are smaller than Aussie ones, there's no choice where the bed can fit.
njoy the game, TO!
I have always lived in houses with windows being either floor to celling or hip height
you put the kids near the windows so they can get out when you light the house on fire by smoking in your sleep. right?
my mom's house is like that, too, Jac.
In Victorian times, they put metal bars on the inside of children's rooms.
wherefore, jac?
Different world to some of us then, Herin.
At 142/75 I am done. My "handyman" is arriving at 8:30 AM to begin some repairs to the shower plumbing...thus I need to be finished before he arrives.
hi alll...
..back to finish my last 2! ;)
Go Pinikula!
Yes Jac I was lucking to grow up with spaaaaaaaace.
See everyone tomorrow!
night scrabbler
Later Scrabbler.
hi pini
bye scrabs
hiya jilli ;)
I have to decide upon a new book--I just finished one.....time to look at my pile of books and see what I am in the mood for.
later, scrabs!
Hi Pink, 'Bye Scrabbs.
hey jac
scrabbler, how many books in your pile?
hi, pink!
OH also funny. We got a leash and harness for the kitty to take her for outside outings. Food bribes went well. If she doesn't want to she flops over
bye scrabs, sweet dreams
hi dc, gwen, herein, et al
hi pini, and all others who came in whilst i was away
your kitty, herin :D
howdee pinikula
*imagines, herin dragging her kitty on a walk cuz kitty doesn't want to go any further.*
Ha! We once tried a cat on a lead. It was like being at a rodeo but with claws.
ra5 before ra4 and file, pls?
hi everyone
*imagines my pup doing the same thing - "mom, carry me the rest of the way, my legs refuse to work now"
pt for run + double vowel, dc
Hi Andree!
hello, andree, how goes?
at work and trying to babble at the same time
help with ta7/68 please
ugh...these last 2 to's are killin' me
ty, dawg, just found it :)
My near-neighbour has a lovely golden Burmese cat called Max, "the Golden Retriever of cats", he's so friendly -- talkative too. He follows me all over the place.
andree, what an airplane does
my minpin would walk on his hind legs with his forelegs "holding" the lead.
Pink - heavy weight + active verb and plural.
burmese are a wonderful breed :)
hi hi all. Back for 29, Pini - I took my dog out with MIL's dog (mine 120 lb, Daisy - 12 lbs) There was about 2 feet of snow so I picked up the little dog... my dog stopped and wouldn't move until I put Daisy down.... Then she nudged me as if to say - carry me?
hello, needing help on my last 6
andree, you ta7, in a plane.
OMG...too funny, AM!
I'm stuck with some R words -- ra5/18? *ducking fish*
hi autumn, hi april
hello, april!
thx pini
jilli, add a vowel to the 4 before it
jilli - add another vowel to the end of the gardening tool.
hey seain
lol, autumn!
She is only going in the front yard to many dogs in the area and i don't want her to freak out
Hi Everyone i missed
Hi Autumn.
I need help with the ra 7/8 combo after the 5/18. Anyone?
ty, jac -- weird word to me
not getting it jac *scratching head*
OH and the kitty is such a chunkey monkey that the harness is the furthest we can put it
like the ta7/8 combo, but with a T
April - same as the ta7 and 8 (plane lifts).
oh, I need that ta combo as well
put another nickel in!
so do I, April (and Max the cat's owner's name is April too, lol)
Pink - garden implement that's like a comb with a long handle.
of 6/7?
April's are neato
next sunday i get te meet the litter from which the next kitten will come. only 4 in the litter. :)
to insult someone autumn
jac, that was for the to5/12???
of6/7 - to upset by saying something someone doesn't like.
I should have found that... thanks
sooo anyone have the ta 7/8 combo?
ty for 4 words -- ra and ta :)
DC you getting another kitty?
Pink - for the ra7 and 8. The ta 7 and 8 are the same but start with a different letter. It's what planes do to get into the air.
pini, 2000 pounds + ** re me fa so la ti...
to 5/12 rhymes with a type of apartment
yes lady, depending on which, i shall name it beryl, anthracite, or slate
wow, that ra combo is just dumb.
wow, that ra combo is just dumb.
THANK YOU!!! * F * I * R * E * W * O * R * S *
the ra5/10 after the South African currency and pl
h
yay Pini
ok, te 6/21?
> 9 + high card
I'm watching my "Must" TV programme -- 60 Minutes
Speaking of calling a cat Beryl (which I do understand but would sound quite weird here in UK since it's an old ladies' name) I was watching Bruce Parry on his journey down the Amazon river last week and he met a Peruvian lady somewhere up high in the mountains and her name was Gladys. Her daughter was called Rosemary. That is weird.
my cats are Woody and Tippy. It rolls off the throat when you are calling them "Woody woody woody". He always comes to that
doh, hanks Pini, that was a fish
brb
;)
i currently have jasper and feldspar, decided to keep with the trend :)
Kittys are so cute
en 7?
April - if you stood shouting 'Woody' outside here in UK, you'd get a queue of testosterone filled males of all ages queueing up outside.:(
When the kids lived at home, we had 2 hampsters...Q-Tip & Cotton Ball
I like slate, it sounds very tough
pini, cute names!
en7 = last sound of a musical peice
not beginning + what a secretary does in a meeting.
snicker
one is ginger, a couple are black, and one is grey. colour determines name :)
i used to have menagerie of gerbils, all names after different types of cloud
Jac, it isn't quite that illustrious a name here, but it can mean the same thing. He just liked the wood pile as a kitten and it just fit. (plus he had a woody)
It used to amuse me when a neighbour yelled for her dog, 'BRANDY!' she'd repeatedly shout, like a desperate alcoholic.
My Susie had a great name to call, just like the Australian Cooooo-eee! (the ee! goes way up)
firewords, thanks lbd
nice, gwen!
congrats, april
YAY April!!!
whooooo hoooooo APRIL
cumulus and cirrus were two of my fave gerbils
We named our rabbits: Thunder & Grumpy; our guinea pig was Oreo (for obvious coloring); and now my very first dog (since the kids are on their own), Koda (Sioux for 'friend') ;)
congrats april
two cats are enough for me. I love them dearly though.
I had a hamster called Irving
wtg april and gandhi too !!! ~~~ !!!
nice Koda, pini :)
one recently spent a few days in emergency with a blocked urethra. That determined my ability to have no more pets (we have two dogs as well, but those will stay with my ex when I move on).
Irving ! ! !
We had 21 hamsters (there's no 'p' iin the word, btw). They're all in my blog.
My youngest dau has 2 beagles, too...slightly older than mine: Copper and Buck...guess what she's going to dress them as for halloween???
i had rats: gwendelyn and evelyn
wow, 21hamsters, eek!
One of our Dane pups in the E litter was Evel (Knievel) because he did a lot of jumping
both girls
(oops, so much for my spelling skills, jac..no wonder it takes so long for me to finish)
the japanese word for hamster is hamastu -- borrowed from english of course
pini, flying monkeys?
Nope...
...one is going to be a hunger and the other is going to be the deer!
hmmm firefighters?
http://jaculaspets.blogspot.com/
hunger = hunter!
ugh
hmmmm
My older daughter said Koda should be a tree! oi
This is why i have an indoor kitty
I can just imagine beagles with firehats on...
I was told as a little child that the letter u is seldom pronounced in Japanese -- e.g. sukiaki is pronounced "skaki"
why herin?
if koda was multicolored, would he be kodachrome?
too funny, april
Thats a lot of pets Jac
good one Gwen
oh, weird, I just reached to adjust my glasses and I'm not wearing any since the op! First time since age 17!
hula-weeners...
true, jilli -- it's like an apostrophe
ROFL
Well, he is a tri-color!
(daschunds in grass skirts)
congrats, jilli!
oh no, sexy little dashunds
brb potty break
dachshunds
Saw some costumes at the pet store...the Peter Pan outfit was $20!!! that's more than what a kid's costume costs around here!
?
too much info, herin!!
that too jilli
do not get me started on pet costumes!
ruru! hi!
Tabby, Fluffychops, Angel, Primrose, Fluff, Badger, Monty - to name but a few of our hamsters.
I think Koda will just go out in his jacket...and that's only if it's cold...otherwise, he doesn't have a wardrobe!
hi dc.. got to walk the weeners
oy! Pet custums, feh!
i never liked traditional pet names for gerbils, like fluffy and whiskers. mine all had much much more interesting names
coolio, ruru!
My hamster, Irving, sired a litter by our other hamster whose name I forget. She ate the babies even though we secluded her the way They said to.
Pink - if you are dyslexic (silly word to use for people wo can't spell etc.) you may be like My Other Half and see the simpler words that I missed and also the weird spellings of words.
oh but fluffy and whiskers! how cute! I mean, those are gimme names but still, cute!
LOL! who can't spell. Me, it would seem.
Maybe Jac...I'll keep an eye out for that ;)
back in a bit -- supper to get, plus 60 Minutes.
hb jilli
njoy, jill!
there be thoudans of pets named fluffy and whiskers, i'll bet. but only one ever named Qatara Depression LOL
Gwen - friends of ours had gerbils caled Satan (son's gerbil) and Lily (daughter's gerbil). One night Satan died and Lily ate him!:(
are you sure satan died? or was it . . . . murder?!
2nd do5/12 please
ewwww Jac, just ewww
Not sure, Gwen. No post mortem took place.
gerbils don't last too long. after a while we had a gerbil graveyard in our garden.
One who donates, Andree.
actually, one who gets a donation
sorry now realise its the 1st do/5/12 i need
and thx jac
do5 = to do, with biblical ending
Our gerbil, Bazil, used to love watcing the police series 'The Bill' on TV. He'd stand up atop his little wooden house in his tank to watch it. We didn't always watch it but would leave it on for him to watch, since he burrowed up so eagerly when he heard the theme tune.
Jac...that sounds like what Q-Tip did to Cotton Ball...I'll leave it at that.
that is effing hilarious, jacula!
don't know if mt gerbils would have like tv -- they were in a room with no tv poor things
thx book
It was supposed to be Basil (after Basil the Rat in Fawlty Towers) but son coudln't spell so well at the time...
yw andree
It was funny, Gwen.
Well, Gwen, he was a lone gerbil, and you're not supposed to keep just one alone. I guess TV was his only comfort.
or perhaps something about the soundtrack appealed to his little gerbil ears?
Maybe. LOL.
i used to live with an african grey parrot who adored german music - Nena, Falco, Wagner, whatever.
Koda likes watching Animal Planet ;)
my friend has a hamster with brain damage.
Both of my kids came out of the womb knowing the theme tune to 'Neighbours'. Back in the 80s when Kylie and Jason were in it, it was on at the time I used to sit down and have lunch and a rest during pregnancy.
firewords ! mayhap tom and i will eat now. hm
wtg dc!
dcs - we had a pregnant guinea pig who just loved listening to Jenni Murray presenting 'Woman's Hour' on Radio 4. I once thought of writing to her to tell her that but thought she might not be flattered by the fact that she calmed a preggers guinea pig.
Well done, dcs.
wtg DC !!! ~~~ !!!
Bon Apeetit, dc and tom :)
who cooked?
I wonder what she would have said, jac!
LOL jac :)
thanks, yall
that was appetit
oops, tandoori warmed up -- back in a bit
May I please have clues for an5-12 and an6-21? Thanks.
May I please have clues for an5-12 and an6-21? Thanks.
Dunno, Pink. I may well still write to her about it. Ginger, Mother guinea pig used to 'shush!' the kids and the hubby to listen to it after the birth. *(5 babies)
Sorry.
okay, we're off for soup. then. toodles!
howdee peach!
happy battle of hastings LOL
Hey there, Book Doctor Gwen.
type of electrical connection gappeach.
Thank you Jacula.
Shame I can't have guinea pigs in the house now, due to Hunter Cat in residence.
y/w, gappeach.
Guinea pigs up in what was once the rabbit shed are not so interactive and part of the family.
Any more clues needed by anyone or all you all done?
63 clues needed LOL
Well, ask for one or two at a time, Gwen.
haven't opened the list yet. too stubborn 8-)
Later on today 've got to start baking Christmas cakes. Me and Beloved are away for Christmas but a house cake is still needed, half a cake for Beloved's Mum, half a cake for my Daughter and a whole cake for my Mum.
I know what you mean about the list, Gwen. I'm the same.
arken
oooh sorry
hi sandy
its not a word anyway...lol
no ar's
hi everyone and hi pink
=)
no need to be sorry unless it's worth points LOL
I'll do the baking tomorrow or over 2 days. I'll see how it goes. I don't need the oven for dinner later as I'm doing a prawn pilau which is cooked on the hob.
i'm trying to avoid the list too but I think Lickety is calling me
what's a "hob"? BBQ?
I'll try and clue if you ladies want any...
That reminds me Jac I will need to go and help my mum do the pudding and the cakes
I hope MrP is very tolerant because her hubby (Lickety) seems to call to lots of people. LOL
Pink - the hob is the tob of the gas cooker (indoors).
Top not tob.
ahhhh...
It's saffron rice, chilli, prawns etc., cooked in a frying pan.
With plain Naan breads cooked under the grill (which is above the hob). LOL
sandyloo - glad it's not just me that does that traditional stuff.
hmmmm...lost me on that last one...trying to imagine picture, but can't seem to ;)
Is it the British cooker you can't see, pink?
yep
pini, cooker = stove
Sounds a bit like paella
I knew that part, gwen, just can't imagine the "hob" in the middle and the grill above...I'll google a pic...
it must be an upside down stove LOL
that's what I'm thinking at this point!!! lol
http://img.dooyoo.co.uk/GB_EN/175/hous ehold_appliances/ovens/leisure_rangema ster_55el.jpg
That's my cooker, though mine is hunting green not blue.
hi all back after cooking for the new year. made 3 soups: cabbage soup, lentil soup, chicken soup.
Thank you!!! I'm following you now!
so clues needed for the last 23 i have.
hi mkg
ra 7 68 plesae? i think i asked for that one before i left.
hi pinik
perhaps hob is what we 'Mericans call a knob?
ra7 = ta7 (change first cons)
ra7 rhymes with what a plane is doing when it leves the ground (compound word)
hmmmmmmmmm dont have ta 7
ty got them both!
Not sure, gwen, but perhaps it's one of those Jenair grills on some stoves (one that I don't have); with an extra "burner" on the top (where our hood would be)
well down to 19 left.
ty super clues and got the ta words as well. ty book and pinik
yw mkg
=)
The cooker I have is convenient, it has an eye level grill, a hob with 4 burners below that, then an oven and then a drawer for the baking trays, roasting tins etc. I want a range cooker with 6 burners, 2 ovens, a drawer and an eye level grill. Need to win the lottery to get that, though.
hello friends! worth starting this late?
always worth it stid.
stid of course it is
yeah stid first 100 go fast
aw, hell no, stid. don't even bother! LOL
sun-kissed skin + ring vowel.
Yes tiger but the kitty is a person :D
jac, that is four letters. but word has 5..........
sounds like a usual nite in here.
Make the most of this, I only spell words out in the last hour or so of a grid, if I'm around to do so.
wow. I am down to 69 already...
this grid reminds me of a joke: a young girl, who was accustomed to calling her little brother a sn4, came home from sunday school one day and asked her mom, "i know what a sn4 is, but how do i lead one into temptation?"
i got it anyway so never mind. ty for the almost word clue............it got me there.
rofl gwen1!!!!!
I thought I'd stick my nose in. I started to do the grid, but decided it wasn't worth the effort
oh, gwen, that's priceless
sun-kissed skin plus , impassioned cry from friend to would be lover - 'Go ** her!'
I think I am ready for the list. not bad though considering how tired I am.
yay, gwen!
c's down
go lex go!
go, lex
got the Fs by myself anyway...
Gwen, that reminds me of my 5 or 6 year old attempt to interpretTthe Lord's Prayer. Give us this day our daily bread - I imagined the twinny loaf the baker used to deliver and thanked him for delivering it. Forgive us our trespassses.. There was a sign by the chicken man (who was a friend of ours)' chicken shed... 'Trespassers will be prsecuted'. I asked forgiveness, since I didn't know what trespasses were every time I went in there. Forgive those that trespass against us, I also included in that. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory... well,. I'd watched the Queen get crowned.
SUPER cartwheelies for Book Doctor Gwen!!!!
