I think it was a well child visit. But we are seeing lots of sick kids with the usual cold, cough stuff. Nothing serious.
so far knock wood we have been spared, though mrs2bit has some kind of cough she can't shake
October thru March = one long respiratory illness season.
baby2bit's vocabulary is leaping forward, though she sometimes struggles to be understood. She knows her animals and some shapes and colors, and she even recognizes a few letters
starting to climb up on stuff as well :-)
Wow! We expect colors and shapes to be known at 3. I know entering kindergartners that do not know many letters. I am most fascinated by language development in toddlers. It is amazing, especially when they hit that "explosion" of vocabulary and linking words. And, yes, they are monkeys.
She's a daily wonder :-)
Kids are neat although some stages are more challenging than others.

anything more than 3cm,with an irregular border and a lighter colour in the centre
had one removed a year ago, it was fine but of a type that puts me at higher risk
our friend here cut her finger yesterday and had to go to a walkin clinic to get it stitched up. They had to pay $160 before the doctor even saw her, and by the time they left, 3 stitches, a bandage and a tetanus shot later, the bill was $575 -- pure robbery!

I will agree that medical expenses in the US are vastly over-priced. Doctors are over-burdened with regulatory paperwork and overhead to deal with health insurance companies.

I think many Americans think that Canadian medical care is worse than it is. They hear a few horror stories about it and condemn it without realizing how our system is failing us (of course; those same people have insurance)

I looked into suing when an MRI was misread and I spent a year in pain, chasing phantoms - was told that unless I had permanent damage I would never win
and we have a bed shortage,our triage has 25 "beds" at any given time 20 are full waiting room vacancies and 5 are in continual rotation in trauma..so not perfect
(I came *this* close to being permanently paralyzed - was VERY lucky)
a lot of insurance companies will settle out of court, sue, just to get the nuisances out of the way. So yes, in a way, they do win
we have a whole new floor in our hospital that has not been opened because there are not enough doctors and nurses (they train here and go to the states where they can make more money)

when the right doc finally saw the pictures I was in surgery 6 days later, at 4:00 in the afternoon (!)
ALWAYS ask for a copy of the MRI's and CT's (we get the disks and typed reports all the time)
and trhe compression must of given you massive leg and arm aches and the radial nerve must of been going nuts
skin on my chest was starting to go numb (as well as all kinds of pain in my arms and side)

Fireworks are an5/10 so here's a story of clues. I ea 4/4 a living as an ESL teacher. I'm en 6/21ed with teachers I work with.I could never be a classroom teacher.I don't think I would li4/8 it.Being a classroom teacher is not a si4/6le job. I think I would rather mi4/9 cows than be a classroom teacher. I think if I was a classroom teacher, students would drive me ne 6/18 to insanity. I think if I were a classroom teacher, I would be fi4/7d by the end of the week. I'm not too fi 4/8 and students would walk all over me. I know the older kids would fr5/24 me out. They would gr 4/8ble & talk about me behind my back. The kids would graffiti the classroom with a ma 6/33. I would be sitting on pi 4/5 & needles scared of what the next day would bring. Now I have one ho4/6 to fi5/16h the grid. Believe me, I will find il 4/8 one of my last six words.Then I'm going to get off my re4/4 and go watch My Name is Ea 4/4. By the way, this story is all true and none of this story is fa4/11. I hope it helps some of you.
