hey, I put the list into Excel the other night for the first time, as per ARB instructions via Dee, and when I copied/pasted it, wound up with big spaces between the two letters and the two stat numbers, too - is there a trick to it?
rb let me see my list again...
maybe I did something I shouldn't have, need more practice. :)
• Copy word list into an Excel spreadsheet (the word, the number of letters and the points go into 5 columns (because of ? for dictionary). • Then insert a column after the word. • Then write a formula in the first line after the word, example - " =left($B1,2)" (the $ makes the formula absolute) • Then copy the formula all the way down (put cursor in bottom right of the top cell with the formula and drag down to end of word list). • Voila you have 3 columns with first 2 letters, length, points
yes, that all worked, but when I pasted my copy into notepad, it had like whole tab-sized spaces, I had to take them out. Will try again though.
it looked great in excel, was quite thrilled with myself, lol!
I have never had good luck using notepad... it seems to have hidden default formats

mom, its strange. they moved in several months ago + we never had any trouble with them. now, alluva sudden, for the last week or so, its late-night wall-beating. at first, we thought maybe our music/tv/video games were too loud, but we have been turning them so low we can hardly hear them ourselves. last night, we were in bed, lights out + there was still wall-pounding! we dont know what it is, but it needs to STOP!

what about the school that taught that teenaged girl who found a way to isolate and destroy cancer cells -- they must be doing something right, even if she is a prodigy

I told him that I was driving fa 4/7 because I was about to run out of gasoline and I would've driven even fa 6/27 if he had not pulled me over. But he did not care. He also told me I could eith5/12 keep arguing and get a bigger fine or I could shut up and get a mi4/6 fine. The officer told that me it was a si4/6ple choice.It seemed like my time with him la6/21 forever. I wish I could de 4/6rate the cop's car with graffiti. jmc - perhaps not the aunt's death. She went into hospital over a year ago for a minor op and contracted the flesh-eating virus (Necrotizing Fasciitus) which resulted in her losing most of the flesh from her abdomen. She spent time in agony, between hospital and home, whith the hole growing ever larger and covered by a plastic film. She couldn't walk in the end or really do anything. She contracted blood-poisoning last week and died after getting into difficulty breathing. I am apalled by this.

The friend's death was totally unexpected. He was in his mid 40s, a slim non-smoker who had emigrated to Canada after being made redundant to work on the roadtrain trucks. he was young, free and single and seemed to be having a lovely life out there. For some, as yet unknown, reason he had a heart attack in his sleep in his lorry cab overnight and died. Concerned people called the police after they saw his rig not move for 2 days.
