What is it with today? Everyone is tired. Must have been rough sleep for everyone last night.
I slept 12 hours, but have been up for about 6 already. Taught three days in a row, all different levels and ages. Yesterday was the best, but the 5th period class for that teacher always takes it out of me.

... so many problems ... but my biggest is never knowing what they know ... as a supply you have no credability with the kids ... so if you start to explain something and they can't follow because they did it differently ... you're doomed
that's true doseffing. My biggest issue the first time I step into a classroom is helping the kids be comfortable with my "credentials" -- usually by the second time I visit a classroom we are good to go because it turns out I know both the content and the school's rules
but one day there was a 7th grader who didn't know the proper format to write a letter... which meant that I needed to teach that as well.
I am looking forward to someday having my own classroom where I can assess student knowledge and bring them all to a common point... or at least closer to a common point.

Molly, I made my Christmas cards this year with those cacti decorated with white lights. Seeing as we were in Az. until just before Christmas, I went for a "desert" theme. They turned out very well !

I think foxes are beautiful animals though
