dee, try cooking pickled pork in the crockpot, with peppercorns, bay leaves, dry mustard powder, brown sugar, brown vinegar, garlic( crushed) and diced onions. comes out absolutely yummy!!

I'll ask the pharmacist. We tried some patches that heat up when you apply them
there is no heat or smell to these, it is a 4x6 inch patch that helps me quite a bit

I don't know of anyone who actually 'fasts', but I know some who only eat seafood/fish on Fridays... O_o and there are a few who give up temptations/habits for 40 days (like gossiping or drinking sodas)

he is! I should update his picture; going to kick him out in the field this weekend i think, as he's started leaving hay in his feeder or wasting it on the ground, and is more interested in the other horses than in eating constantly now.
he has probably gained about 80 pounds since December.
he sure is beautiful if you don't notice his ribs
hah! yeah, he looks lots better--grew in a nice undercoat by mid january, so not as patchy and chewed up looking. still underweight, of course, but at least now he's starting to look less like someone threw an old hide over a rack and more like a skinny horse :)
