te6 & te7 x2
Hi jillibus and flosey... and sammysmom. :)
hi Neil
plurals take care of half Jillibus
st7 x 2 [unrelated]
re6 & 7 -- definitely re****d. :P
I need to go to the PB already. Geez.
Can I be pardoned for a word I hadn't found yet?
that's a comfort, vanilla
hey jilli
(and neil, of course)
se6/7
ac7
ce6/7
thanks peri
Hi Neil
re7 and re8
se6/7 x 2 [2 sets/pairs of se7's]
Hi Erda. :)
re7 and re8? Wow... totally missing those.
70 down, late, tired, good to see everyone, enjoy!
Take care and have a good night, shdybr8.
goodnight shdy
hi neil
hi flosey
hi eveyone
hi jilli
re7 re add and plural
Hi again jillibus.
ex8/9
Thanks NN.
hello everyone - just here for a short while
hi nan
hi nan -- why only a short while?
Well Uncover... got all the r words now and there's no re8, so what did you find that's not there? Curious.
And you're welcome, godthaab.
at the risk of giving away a word, I found retotals
Oh, well you called it like it was in the grid.
So I wasted a little time looking for it.
one of those words I guess, it is in my vocabulary, and not an uncommon word. Didnt dawn on me that it wasnt in the list. I can only offer my deepest apologies for wasting any of your time
ah, nbt
stats for lone e pls
wtg rbud
ee 4 Peri
stats for the first C please?
ty diz
cr 6/21 flo
but that was not for the lone e
thanks cos
ee4/4 is for the lone e
i just got it peri
found it ty cos and diz
and help with corner e pls
Oh no problem, Uncover... it was a word that should have been accepted in the grid. But there are legit words from time to time that aren't.
not seeing that ex8/9
You called that combo before you tried entering it? That would explain. ;)
ex6 - ex + a religious group (is what I got for the corner E)
also need the bottom C stats please?
nbt
I didn't call the ex8/9 combo
ex8/9 -- to hate, detest, etc.
ty rbud
I think that was ce5/12? maybe
thanks rbud, looking
ends with a vowel
I often try to work out stuff in my head before I enter it. Mostly I don't stick my foot in my mouth like that, but I sometimes do. I think it is a habit i picked up doing sudoku puzzles.
I do those too, Uncover.
Very addictive. :)
Finally - NBT/NBS
thanks rbud, got it
for nbt and nbs
nbt
wtg flosey -- I don't have the 8 & 9.
Clues are up
thanks mrp
wtg diz
got the 8/9 by googling what neil said at 12:29 - ty, neil
You're welcome rbud. :)
someone clued them jilli, rbud at 12:28
ty flosey - thinking...
jillibus... ex8/9: to detest utterly, abhor, abominate, curse, imprecate evil upon, damn or denounce. "He ex******* all who opposed him."
ty neil -- NBS
clue for bottom C please?
You're welcome and wtg.
and thanks for the good hate clues (so to speak)
ce5,12
Ha. You're welcome jbp.
i have a ce 5/12 but not from that one. rhymes with injests
Ugh. Was I wrong about it starting with that C? I'm not good at that yet... but don't think I was?
no worries, neil. you still da man,
Huh? :P
I think it's right - don't marry your cousin, that's ince** - then add vowel for the ce5
I can't see how that word starts with any other C
i dont see c or the ex...................hmmm
top corrner one
Oh I'm talking about the ce5,12 which starts with the bottom C... as far as I can see?
The one rbud just clued.
the ex... it's sort of un-makes
The ex8/9 has already been clued, mkg.
So it's in the chat log.
i knoq but i dont get it still. ugh
Still on this page too.
google "denounce"
ex + vowel + shipping container
the ex word is ex+ not makes
better clue, neil.
the bottom C is getting me nothin'. The ce 5/12 I have rhymes with synonym for ingest
jbp - did you see my clue at 12:41?
shipping box? or a lift? carton not in grid.
i do now, RBud! Thanks!!!!
clues and questions flying fast and furious
:)
time for bed. cant get ex. ty anyway
mkg - a wooden shipping cr5
well, I'm off to slumber. have a splendid day/evening, all
ex + vowel + wooden cr5 (and then plural it)
what the heck is the singular for a dental cavity? I keep trying it... not working. says not in enable at all, only the plural, hmmm...
caries is okay, (not here in grid, though) but no singular?
weird.
I think the singular would end with ie
"not found in dictionary" - I thought so too.
just another one of those oddball things...
rbud, did you see my comment?
yes, tried it with ie, and it said "not found in dictionary" - is that the comment you mean?
yes -- but I think it's right that it's only a pluralword.
I never knew that, learn something new every night, lol
in fact, I often learn MORE than one new thing in here per night, one of the wonderful things about babbleland. :)
oh, dear, bored everyone to te4s... ran them all off, lol
I'm still here....
me too
See?
I'm here, plodding along
might as well tell another possibly boring ta4 - my sister's van got stolen on Friday, from in front of her home. (she left the keys in it for a bit while hauling in bags of groceries.) Sat. morning, the police called - the silly woman who stole it took it to the very place my sister bought it, only a few weeks ago - pretended to be her, and tried to sell it back to him. Guy knew it wasn't my sis, called the cops. Funny, huh?
I have one eye on the TV but am still here, although both eyes are slamming
lucky sister, rbud
OOps -- pb 4 me
Funny indeed rbud. That was one stupid person all right...
I know, and I'm sure she'll never leave her keys in it again!
rbud that's a candidate for the Dumb Crimes award.
that woman must have been watching and knew when to make a quick run
I wonder what she needed money so badly for, hate to think.
fortunate that she got the same salesman
true
she ran when she saw the police coming, took her shoes off and just ran. They caught up to her at her apartment later.
oops, now I pb'd! ;p
she took the keys with her, so now sis needs her locks changed at home, too.
(they didn't find the keys and she wouldn't say what she did with them) Okay, done rambling.
weren't the keys recovered by police?
I suspect she tossed them while running, lol
doesn't sound like a desparate situation then
hello all - could i have the stats for the lone E please
The police were threatening to write my sis a ticket for leaving her keys in her van - illegal in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, apparently. Imagine getting a ticket when your car gets stolen, wow.
ee4/4
it's kind of slippery to answer that ursh
oh for goodness sake - ty rbud
yay, ru! :D
slippery brain and slippery fish
the moray the merrier ursh
oh lord
and he's ba-ack. hello, mate. had a good day?

cast your net far and wide ruru - good morning all
glant, good morning
morning rose - how you doing?
hi glant
doing well, thanx glant, managed to walk 6 house frontages and back...no pain either in knee or hips
brilliant - and how many miles a day are you doing on the exercise boke?
that's great, granny!
hi jilli
left it outside the local supermarket, and walked home, carrying the shopping.
lol, not really
ROFL
naughty physio made me cry this AM. he made me do my exercises with 2 foam noodles under my foot. it hurt! :(
I think in this case that pain might be a good thing
but....i did them. and will do them again on friday
well done
and before someone else says it ( and i will be obliged to smack them) no pain, no gain
i was waiting for ruru...
hi all
ruru is very wise, he knows i reach down the cable and strangle him
LOL
shdy, welcome back
hi shdybr8
ty, granny
hi glantarell
<---hiding
HI shadybr
hey ru, long time
nice to see you
how ya doing?
great to see you too
sad news, ru, remember back in november when the shady part of shdybr went to heaven?
yes
bear went july 14
oh.
i'm sorry
it is never enough time.. it's so unfair
he was 15, which is about 120 for his size
sympathy (((hug))), sad to hear.
oh you are blessed shdy
sad, sad
i'm guessing from the chog, bear was a beloved pet?
still have nico, and will have a new mastiff rescue as soon as we fit one with the agencies
yes, granny, best boy ever
no I'm sorry shady.. I had the best boy ever...
boo hoo hoo, but no, ru, no competition, bear won
ahhh, a doggy companion. my heart goes out to you, shdy. both mine left me behind a few ye4s ago. can't bring myself to replace them yet
so sorrry to hear about losing bear -- such a ripe old age, he sure will leave a hole.
love you ru
likewise
he
I understand .. you might as well rip my heart out
yeah ru, no competition, just my dog!
two in the last 9 months, waaaaah
I don't think I"ve ever recovered
i never will, but i am working with rescue to bring a new girl home, my remaining boy needs a friend
you don't, ruru. it's the unconditional love poured out by them which me miss. and their endearing ways.
* we *
especially the bigger breeds. they just don't live long enough
so, i've been trying to be busy and not think about it, does anyone here geocache?
keyboard looks green, wonder what caused that, maybe tired , time for bed, goodnight all
93 to do tomorrow
I'll have to google geocache
right, ru, i
you spilled some pea soup flosey?
gnight flosey -- well done -- see you tomorrow at bridge?
please could some kind person clue the 8 and 9
well my groenendahl made it to 16.it was my staffy/dingo cross which gave me the most grief. she went at only 12.
ex8 + 9
'm looking at a bigger dog, who might only live a few years
ex + vowel + large wooden box
Rose! :) You're still here?
ex8 = to detest utterly; abhor; abominate.
{{{neil}}}}}} yes, the good Lord hasn't seen fit to take me yet, buddy. you're stuck with me for a few more ye4s at least
hey neil
Great Danes are great, shdy
our little Roxie is getting near the end, I fear - blind, incontinent, getting a bit deaf, too, turning white all over her face - we make do, adjusting to having to help her with things that she used to do herself. she's about 15, we think.
don't have a partner yet jilli, have called a few, reg. has a funeral then people coming back to her place
thanks jilli
have tried a few and will get back at it tomorrow
she misses the couch, and steps, etc, now, and falls a lot, but keeps trying to do it.
Flosey -- did you try April W?
i kind of prefer mastiffs, jilli, i like the big couch potato huggy dog
you going, flosey? sleep well,hun
I just need the c in the2nd row and the bottom row for nbs and nbt
Danes are like that, shdy
rbud, my bear did all of that, i got ramps for him and whatever i could do
Hi Glantarell and Jivingjenny.
they were the hardest Cs
Hi Neil
Sorry Rose... was just replying to an email from another Babbler who is also present I see.
anyway, you are looking for a mastiff rescue -- nice idea
hi jenny
cr + vowel + heavy weight
& pl
i'm in gmail, neil
i know, jilli, but i'm a stocky dog fan. Bear was mostly newfie, but I can't have another one down here, it's too hot, so a mastiff is the next closest in personality with shorter hair
or cr6, maybe, what the moon has many of, big hole in the ground where a meteor hit
sounds good, shdy
that came from top right c glantarell
what about the hole meteorites leave when they land?
good morning
thats one rbud just need bottom row
yes, that one, that's what I tried to clue, lol
and you have the large wooden box & pl?
bottom is ce5, don't marry your cousin, that's ince**, + first vowel
morning rose
sorry - ruby - trying to think of words and type at the same time never works
brilliant, thanks

*repoof
oh shdy, I am so sorry!!!! I know what that's like but the big dogs, with their shorter lives, still hold the most appeal.
oh shdy, I am so sorry!!!! I know what that's like but the big dogs, with their shorter lives, still hold the most appeal.

stayed up too late watching gymnastics
fell asleep when they said back for gymnastics later, more swimming

bye jmc bring back piles and piles of loot
wtg west *re-poof*
hi crossy how is your day going?
not bad so far westford and yourself?
how many words?
290
having perfect weather..not too hot, not too cold..just right lol
we have a hot one(for us) on tap today will go over 30c
then it must be heading this way : (
shouldn't complain..it is summer after all
yup just checked, set to feel like 33c or 91.4 american
is your a/c still working well?
ilive for spring and fall:)
and thanks for the ac7
it is a very nice unit and is working flawlessly.glad we bought it
np:)
and nice to have an ac unit that you do not have to jam in a window and can be moved around
my husband has one in his basement office he loves his too
it wouldn't have been possible to install a window unit down there
had some sticker shock at first, but i got a high btu unit and it does 90% of the space all except for the bed room at the very end of the hall
wow that's great
do you use a fan in that bedroom?
yes
window fan that draws the cool air in?
no,we actuall have a fan that sits in the corner at the far end of the hallways and pushes the cold air down
sounds like that works
pulls it down from the living room
Clue for the ending of that ac7, Crossy?
just on low speed is all that is needed
sugar= dextr***
Aha, a sugar ending. TY.
np
you don't generally get such hot weather do you?
hi scrab
no,we do not.we have had more days over 90f than ever before
and the winder was a shadow of what it used to be and ended a month and a half early
winter
I have a feeling that's going to be the norm.
anyone who doubts global warming should come see our northen areas..what a mess
amen to that crossy!
did you see the pictures of Greenland from space..shocking
the perma frost is melting and creating great big sink holes that collape in on themselves, and we are fighting the russians now for nothern shipping lanes that never existed 10 years ago
shocking indeed!
ask our inuit peoples
our insect breeding cycles are all out of whack.spring came so early and it got so warm so fast that many insects had two or even 3 breeding cycles
we need to change the way we live and that's a tall order
many deer and moose gave birth prematurly hibernation cycles were a mess
may be too late westofrd.the thing is almost self perpetuating now, less ice mean less heat refration ,means more melting, means less ice
we would have to go all nuclear power and all electric cars..tomorrow
no coal,zero
what about wind power?
and nuclear power scares me
we would have to learn to rebehave in our use of power, wind alone cannot cover it
or more individual power sources, more people going off the grid
real horses vs horse power
i can put in a combo solar wind kit for this place that would have me off the grid in 6 months..cost is $12,000 plus installation
that sounds reasonable but coming up with the money up front is not so easy
lol, westford, not practical, would be like old days, small communities all cut off from another, cause you cannot do a quick 500 mile trip on a horse
we got rid of all our smaller town train lines and junctions years ago,so that infrastructure is no longer there to suppliment horses as in the old days
yes I know the bucolic lifestyle would not be practical but somehow it sounds heavenly
we cannot go back to little house on the prarie:(
I think I'd like it for about one day lol
does it not? you look at the amish and the mennonites and almost start thinking
not the religious part of it,but just the lifestyle
just have to figure out how to run my laptop
lol
the old farm steam tractors did that westford
belts to turbines,or whater wheels or grist mill stones
I could hook up our three cats
i sawe a eary picture of a steam tractor with belts running to a wringer washer lol
I'll just take the dirty clothes to a stream and beat them on a rock
yea,how would you like to pound out all the weekly washing on a scrub board over a big metal basin with a jumbo bar of that sunlight laundry soap? lol
no thanks lol
at the hunt camp we had the big metal tub,we would toss all the clothes in there and toss in some liquid soap and just get right in there and dance on it for a bit.make a real big froth hehe
our city is having disaster practice today..we're not to worry about troops in the streets
now that sounds like a fun way to do laundry
reminds me,for those who want a pre-made 72 hour disater /emergency kit for 2-8 people go to mountain house site it is very good
good to know crossy, thanks
size of a duffel bag,can just grab it and go
I bookmarked the site
here is one i chose....
http://www.nitro-pak.com/survival-kits /72-hour-kits/hurricane-survival-72-ho ur-kit
has 5 year shelf life
for foodstuffs
did you buy theirs or make your own?
i bought thiers
when we had the hurricane last year the worse thing was losing power..had a freezer full
i have started canning more..freezing less
need to buy a small generator before the next one
this year is going to be my first full canning
once all the veggies hit the shelves in sept
I made peach jam once..lot of work
got tired of paying $1.75 for a can of veggies
do you grow your own veggies ?
not jam so much, but i am going to do peas, beans, carrots, beets, small new taters in the quart jars, green beans etc
no,once the harvest comes,i can buy them from local farm cheaply enough
Nice cans, baby. *wink wink*. Good morning, Babblers!
howdy judi..and stop looking at my can
hi judi
i do plan on doing up some apple and grape jelly though, nice and easy to do
everything goes up but salaries
if you're lucky enough to have a job
i refuse to pay almost 2 dollars for a can of veggies
it's ridiculous
i have enough jars to do 20 of each this year 80 pint jars and 20 quart jars and one case of those jelly jars
good start then
they were on sale for ten dollars a case(lids and rings extra)
watch the price go sky high on those too
so,130 dollars for jars,lids,rings,25 dollars for big bpoiler pot and tongs..so 155 all told, plus cost of the veggies
good planning on your part
so this year if i spend 55 on the veggies,i will just break even over store can prices, but will not need to buy equipment next year
something tells me by the time you get your canning done the price at the supermarket will have doubled
after doing test runs,i figure 10 8 hour days will have all the jars filled
I wish we could have a garden. We would grow so many goodies. Unfortunately, the critters would be the only ones who would benefit. Maybe one of those pop up greenhouses...
ten 8 hour days*
so,doing the math for next years canning the veggies will cost 50 cents a quart jar
hey not bad
hi again all! finally woke up
pint*
1 dollar a quart jar
suze!!
hi sue how was the wedding?
you disappeared
it was lovely, west!
and the storm held off?
did I? sorry about that - time has a way of going on without me and I have to dash to keep up with it
I understand..happens to me all the time lol
and yes, no storms at all. The reception was lovely as well.
then a good time was had by all
I posted a bunch of photos on Facebook at the request of my bedridden friend (he is a friend of the whole congregation), and will be taking a video of the service to him later today
that's nice of you I'll bet he will really appreciate that
unfortunately her parents couldn't be there, but they are on their way to Brazil for their honeymoon and will be with them there
post one or two pics in your profile for us non facebookers please
I wondered if they were going to Brazil for their honeymoon..I guessed right
the guy who did the video did it in some kind of super-HD format, so it's on 4 DVDs. He says there's a program on the first one to stitch them back together, so I will have to figure that out
wow things are really getting top drawer
yes, one of her friends is a flight attendant so they were able to fly standby very cheaply
we love the video of our daughter's wedding..they were married on the beach in Del Mar and the highlight was the Marine helicopter that swooped in the 'see' the ceremony..the videographer got it on tape
ok, photo is on my profile, top left of the Flickr photos
thanks sue I'll go look
what a beautiful family
and her dress is exquisite
yes, it was all quite lovely
I seldom go to weddings but somehow in the past year have been to two of them :-)
that's right..the other was in Israel
this one was a little closer
less than a mile away :-)
anyway I must get a little more work done before we leave - talk to you later!
bye for now

thats the problem, with blue mtn on one side of town and georgian bay on the other,we are one big acoustial amp..you could hear elvis everywhere,on the mountain, down swimming,he would be drifiting in your bedroom window and crooning at you while you tried to sleep
is this an annual event crossy or will it be a long time before they grace your town again?
sounds like a fellini movie, crossy
god thing it did not rain.last time that happened on elvis week we had black hair dye running into the storm drains
what are the stats on the second row c?
every..single..year....
poor crossy
i think this is year 10 or 12
and you just haven't had time to get your outfit together
it is like a twilight zone movies, where the same band is on the radio every day
or that movie with bill murry, groundhog day lol
for us,it is always elvis
once would be enough
on the up side, all hotel/motel/b=b.s are booked a year in advance and you cannot get one for that wekk if you do not book the year before
so it is very lucrative
for some,very
hello dear friends

Still hurts. My own fault though.

I need to stop playing Bookworm on my phone at night!
take ca4 of that wrist, car.ee. Don't bother with thoughts about own fault... just take ca4 of yourself.
these computer games are addictive.
what's bookworm?
It is a spelling game...the best one, though, is Bookworm Adventures! That is for the PC and the game is awesome! You spell words to defeat creatures from books!
a kind of babble, but the tiles you used for a word disappear and you get new ones. And some tiles burn...
that sounds like my cup of tea
oh that sounds fun, car.ee!
I'm going to look them up
So much fun! And I just found out, there is Bookworm Adventures 2 and 3!!!!!

hey stid
I grabbed enough plums off the tree just now to make one more batch -- jelly this time I think... but the birds have clearly discovered the tree so not much hope for a fourth go this year. *sigh*
Hello everyone :) ah Stid, maybe it'll be worth it to be able to watch the birds!
Hi Andrew
Hello Molly :) good sentiment in your profile!
LOL andrew! unfortunately, it's in the orchard down the hill a little way (behind a screen of chestnut and native shrubs. But, we get to watch the birds a lot anyway. :-D
ah, that's too bad! I have managed to attract some birds to my windowsill. They drive the dog bonkers.
what kind of birds? are you in the city then?
Oh, mainly chubby old pigeons, if I'm honest. I live in the east end of london :)
oooh. pigeons in london! *sings appropriate song from mary poppins* *wicked mama grin*
Haha! More than tuppence a bag these days, I'm afraid :P
if you have pigeons, then you must have peregrines around, too, I think -- high up on ledges of older buildings.
we have mourning doves (like pigeons, only a softer gray with black spots and a white belly) -- thinner of course because they are wild; and hawks. And a lot of woodland birds.
Oh, I'd have to google them to know them. I'm afraid my knowledge of birds doesn't go far beyond the very common!
Do you have swallows? I think there are some types that really like cities -- cliff swallows; and of course you must have starlings. Those invasive rats with wings came from your island!
:-) I think birds are fascinating.
Of course, I think most critters are fascinating... and plants too. *offers flowers from garden to dress up andrew's windowsill*
Hawks must be interesting to see. Back in Berlin my neighbourhood sort of 'adopted' a kite. It was incredible to see it swooping around! A massive thing.
NICE! we don't have kites around here I think... hold on though it might be a common name. I'll look it up.
You'll have to forgive me if it's a word that gets lost in translation - it doesn't come into conversation often!
le 7 please
nm
The only one I have is an item of clothing you wear for gymnastics, Sciencegeek :)
apparently there is one species of kite nearby -- gray with white tail and belly. Sort of like a raptor in seagull's clothing...
hey science
Hi all!
hello all
hey sue!
Haha! Ours was a red kite, I think. The neighbourhood cats were all afraid of it!
Hello, Uusue!
Hi science, stid, Andrew!
I can imagine -- we used to have a small dog and I worried when the eagles were nearby. Raptors are not a lot of fun for small critters.
Oh yes, I wouldn't reckon my little dog against any of those birds. As people are fond of telling me, he looks enough like a rat to be convincing!
oh! down below 100.
I have 119 words but two bank tiles, the e just to the right of center and the e in the lower right corner. Shamelessly begging for hints.
what kind of dog? dachs or yorkie or ... ? ours was a "mutt-a-poo" part poodle part terrier, I think
He's a little chihuahua. He's the only dog teeny enough to fit in my box-sized apartment!
e in lower right - short for high-ranking administrator
lower right corner I have "XO" officer rank or a type of company boss name
LOL those ankle-biters! They are faster than they have any right to be, imho
hey pastorj
Oh, thank you Pastor! I was getting troubled by those E's.
Thanks!
yw! i don't have the other one you asked for.
hi stid!
Hahaha, they certainly are! I love that, because the sound of his tags jingling as he runs around makes me really happy. I live alone, but I never feel lonely with my dog around!
and slithery non-snake fish for the ee 4 (truly fishy)
oh, thanks stidmama!
yw
es chemical compound?
Nope, never mind
the chemical is from the E in the middle of the last row, but it took me FOREVER to find it.
snakelike fish
Hello my babble friends
hey mcurl! is hubby driving a new rig????
good one, Molly :) thank you
hey bea
Hey Bea!
no not yet, sometime in august
Hey all
well, that's in two days. *sits down in front of distribution center and waits for new rig*
I know, that's what I was thinking as well. He's figuring by the end of the month but I can only hope it's sooner!
GMTA, mcurl!
So.....it has been a very interesting few days in my world---
andrew, if you want to see how semi-rural people live in my neck of the woods (we only have one ac4, others in our area have between 5 and 50) there are some pics and a (long-winded) running commentary of what I do and think.
it's my screen name .com if you are interested.
yes mcurl? are people okay? *worried mama look*
oh, that would be lovely, Stid! I shall do that.
*slapping self with long thin fish* thanks for that last e! nbt finally!
go sue go!!!!
oh, sue -- I have been jam-making. Can your significant other have jam?
I have been ORDERED not to tell anyone but you are my babble family and I know you cannot tell anyone in my family family...........
yes, as long as there's no vinegar in it
no vinegar, for sure. not in jams... LOL
*on pins and needles waiting for mcurl's news*
Okay, we'll have to figure out how to get some to you.
waiting....
Well.....I know I told everyone of my son's pending arrival and the loss there of. Today I received a picture message from grandbaby Paige Joelle that says "I'm going to BEE (picture of a bee) a big sister!"
Vinegar in jam? Ew!
ooooh! sounds like nice news.
some savory jams have vinegar (like hot pepper jam). I figured it was unlikely, though :=)
and yay for mcurl!!!!!!
warn her -- big sistering is NOT all it's cracked up to be.
Ah, I never think of those as jams.
and also no grapes, turns out he's sensitive to grapes (go figure)
I was worried about how Heather would take the news after her losing their expected one but Laura says she let Barry tell her and it appeared she was OK. BUT I KNOW she was hurting a great deal inside because now that's two new babies for our family--My niece is due the same time Barry and Heather were due.
Damn Sue, he's got a lot of food issues.
me neither, molly -- although I suppose it makes sense. I don't do a lot of savory things for storage. Prefer them fresh.
he does, molly. Besides the wheat, barley, and rye, there's some tree nuts, vinegar, and we just found out about the grapes a couple of months ago. I am now in the process of giving away the grapes from my vines.
PJ is to young to know that right now! I'm sure she'll figure it out a little later!
*sending protective healing bubble to Heather* her time will come.
oh -- plums okay still? I know it's a different plant.
and we are going to get to see you, aren't we, stid? I've beenb so busy that I haven't gotten the details of my trip worked out, but we'll be there!
so probably no wine, either -- if grapes and vinegar are out...
yes, I am planning on being at bugs' in a couple weeks!
yes, plums are fine, as are all other fruits as far as I know.
RIght, no wine or beer (except gluten-free beer). Distilled spirits are ok (as is distilled vinegar). I have become very good at reading labels.
This is going to be so much fun!!!
s ots
But I am thinking that it's better to ship it to you or give it to you once we are back stateside because I don't know if I can bring home-preserved foods back into the U.S.
I have been liking the gluten-free beers -- I used to think I didn't like "beer" because of the hops. But maybe my body was telling me something about the gluten-containing ingredients.
thanks, Legend!
Ah. I would think that things in jars would be ok (I've certainly brought them back from Europe). Usually they are only fussy about things that might carry bugs.
yes, but home-prepared and commercially-prepared are often calculated differently. And you have to come in our direction on your way home almost no matter what your port of reentry
Ah yes, I think generally everything in jars is alright, apart from sometimes honey.
130 words in, and I finally found my dog in the grid :-P
I know it takes time with miscarriages and she'll be fine; It's not like Laura and Eric knew all this was going to happen to them. I keep my eye on her and let her know I'm always here. I am trying to keep her focused on the wedding!
So while I know I can bring home-canned materials TO Canada, I am not sure I can go the other way. I'll look at the customs website.
also true, stid; anyway I am sure we will figure it out, and it is very sweet of you to think of us!
also true, stid; anyway I am sure we will figure it out, and it is very sweet of you to think of us!
oops - sorry about the bobble!
I was hit so hard for a couple months after my miscarriages, it was difficult at times to believe I would feel better.
we'll be thinking of her, mcurl!
It seemed so unfair.
On the other hand, ended up with two half-way decent offspring, and so I guess in the long run it turned out okay.
hey All
stid did you know I'm coming to Bugs's?
oops. Legend disappeared... come back, Legend!!!!
hey hego!
*sets Legend trap with very nice choclits, home-made gooseberry and plum jams and fresh from the bush blueberries picked this morning*
YES! I know and I am SO HAPPY!!!!! *bounce bounce* I just adore meeting babblers... just about the only time I have ever felt at home and comfortable in a group larger than two.
She's a tough girl. She'll get through it. Besides--She has a 5 year old and Barry has a 5 year old but starting kindergarten and it's amazing that they actually look like they COULD be twins! They'll have their hands full. (Barry's son does not leave with them)
hi stid..:)
I'm excited too.
me too!!
LOL hey Legend! hope you are well.
sorry that was he doesn't live with them!
OH yeah......New Dickey baby is due in March!
good afternoon stid and uusue!
how's the weather back there, Legend? My friend in Newport News was saying the other day how hot it's been.
and everyone else too!
im just great stid...staying busy and never bored...as usual..:)
SAANICH!!!! you're coming too, right? Will you want a ride to Bugs' place?
hows bu you?
I am making progress in the garden and occasionally keeping up with housework. So hard to expend energy inside when it's lovely outside. :-)
indeed..:)
past half way!
yes I am coming, but I may make a several day trip of it as I have relatives and friends in the area but will confirm later - may still need a ride, thanks!
Hego -- I heard that you are going up through the islands with a rental car, but if you want to come across with us, there would be room.
:-) okay saanich, just holler.
will do! many thanks.
mcurl, I know you are busy, or I would twist your arm too.
No, stid we are staying for a few days and need our car to get back to the airport
hmph. stuck at 82...
nbs!
okay hego -- you are going to LOVE where Bugs lives! I haven't been to her house, but it is such a beautiful area.
(maybe I should get a little work done...)
go sue o!
and I already have my ferry reservations, anyway.
or go.... I still need the 9
9 is plural of the 8
Stid, do you know where we are getting together?
good plan Hego.
I don't know if we have thought quite that far ahead yet... *wonders where bugs is*
wow, I haven't even thought about the ferry yet! I guess I'd better start thinking about it...
oh. I guess I still need the 8. hold on... *thinking*
ty Saan
let me know if you want a hint...
if you go near the weekend Sue those ferries can be booked up
yes, I will have to figure out what i am doing.
sue, there are several options -- go up to Vancouver and come across from Tsawassen (Jillibus does that a lot), go up through the San Juan islands (a good place to see whales), or up/down the Olympic peninsula (our usual route, cheapest for us).
it will work out
I think I do want a hint, sue -- at least first two and count?
I have a very small car, maybe they can squeeze it on :-)
I am visiting in Seattle first.
with a shoehorn sue? lol
ex8/70
Seattle has a couple of very nice museums and some decent gardens (the Arboretum is lovely), and the library is nifty too.
okay, thanks sue
there is a ferry from seattle to victoria and then about a four-hour drive up Vancouver Island
I have been there lots of times Stid.
but never to BC.
I have been to Seattle but only by plane, never drove, so haven't seen much of the surrounding area. Am very much looking forward to it!
me too!
it's absolytely beautiful
I have a kid over in Kitsap.
You'll love coming over the passes, sue -- the mountains are beautiful
I think I do need a little more, sue
*sulking*
... while the ferry from Seattle to Victoria is undoubtedly an amazing trip ... it is relatively expensive ... ... it's much less expensive to drive up from Seattle to Tsawassen and take the ferry to Schwartz Bay ... or even to Salt Spring to visit Jilli and Flosey
JMC!!! (((hugs)))
hey doseinthegrid!
no fair that i can't come this time
hi jmc and dos!
hi sulky
hi all
I'll have to bookmark this chat for ferry hints...
I am taking the Anacortes ferry
I still think maybe your sister could spring for the plane tickets, jmc? Instead of the other place?
is that good?
haha that's an idea
ex8/70 is sort of like a former box (sounds like - not what it means)
Anacortes is the expensive route, but it will be BEAUTIFUL!
Yay!!
worth the trip, whales etc
thinking again ... my brain is starting to hurt
ac7 please
... Check out BC Ferries ... from the Tsawassen or North Van to Schwartz Bay (south end of the island ) or Nanaimo (middle of the island). It used to be about $28 for the car. I arrived for a 4:00 friday afternoon boat in summer and didn't have to wait.
hubby and i took the ferry from puget sound to victoria (i think)
... amazing trip ... ... but five years ago it was about $200
ac4/5 minus s, + anagram of digits that fit in your socks!
if you have the ex4/10 word, stid, the ex8/70 has the same first four letters
ac7...high card + sugar ending
NOT 28 $ anymore; it is hugely expensive ie 60$ range
ugh i thought about that word but thought it wasnt right lol tyvm
The Black Ball line out of Pt Angeles is the cheapest option in general -- not elegant like some of the others, but relatively quick and painless.
acetone
oops...
That's a better clue than mine, Molly!
close stiid
:-)
NOT in PB ... but only barely.
thanks!
the anacortes was 80 something
the Black Ball route id the prettiest to drive through though
ty molls
GOT the 8/9!!!! thank you thank you!
... haven't been since Christmas 2007 ... ... but it's still a lot less than the Seattle boat ... though undoubtedly not as scenic
are these prices one way or round trip?
yay stid!
wtg stid
... one way
one way
hey cos -- how are you doing? is your community recovering from the fires? I have been wondering, the national news has gone on to other things, but I know you-all are still in the middle of it.
one way, yes
actually the local news dont even talk about the fire anymore
its still going on though
How long are you going to be in BC sue?
hi Cos
BC Ferries reservations charges are2 15$ BUT WELL WORTH IT. PEAK TOURIST SEASON AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WASTE TIME IN A THREE-HOUR BACK-UP.
are you doing ok, cos? How's the air?
oops
you sound emphatic, saanich
dunno, stid, that's one of the things I haven't figured out yet. We'll leave here August 13 and need to be back no later than the night of the 24th; other than that it's all still up in the air.
I'm going to try to visit Nef in Minneapolis either on the way out or on the way home.
If you are driving sanely, it's about 5 or 6 days from your place to ours.
If you drive like my paternal unit, you can do it in about three...
And LBD and Jilly in MT? I think harpjane lives around there, too.
I was figuring three days at least, as I'd like to drive mostly in daylight (not because I have trouble with night driving but because I want to see the scenery!)
LOL you could probably plan it so you get a decent meal from a babbler all the way across...
yes, we will probably also see LBD and Jilly. Lots of planning yet to come...
brb...
... twelve hours a day ... you're there half way through the third day ...
That is a hellofa lot of driving.
But that is SUCH a lot of sitting, doseffing! OH -- how did it work out with that reluctant student?
... I left midtown Montreal 10 oclock Tuesday and made the Friday 4:00 pm ferry at Tsawassen ... Mondtreal is 14 hours east of Chicago
and sorry for the weird typing and such. I am tired and my peepers are giving me grief today.
air's good :)
I actually like driving, so that's no problem.
... She's gonna be a problem ...
I like driving, but passengers need to be de-watered periodically.
... in fact .... they'll all be problems
... "please just gimme the marks .... I('m so desperate" ...
... but the bunch of them sat for the last hour today without doing any of the problems I suggested to them prior to tomorrow afternoons exam ...
oh boy. *rolls ey4 dramatically*
And I would say that they are digging their own graves...
... basically I told them the questions on the exam ... but they don't realize yet
... digging deep
how frustrating that is! And these are students who supposedly really need this class
... you got it
... and they need it because they never did any homework
... so now ... they still don't do the homework
well, at least they are coming to you *before* the exam - the ones that used to really irritate me were the ones who would come by after the final and want to know how to inprove their grades
sorry, at least you get paid whether they do the work or not...
Well - we are going in to town. Can we bring anything back for you-all? I'll be making the plum jelly later this evening, and currant jelly, too. We finally have everything we need for this.
... they're real losers ... but I told them I was going to give them a test on transforming trig functions ... ... I did a bunch of examples Friday ... and they still did nothing
... shoot'em all
**stands well back from the exasperated teacher**
... Uusue will need some sandwiches for when she drives by
well, dos, you can't do it for them. At some point they will figure that out and get their acts together - or not.
see you-all in a while *poof*
... hey ... I had one with a dead uncle this morning and another with mother in the hospital ... ... I'll cut them a break because they've been working fairly well (even though the vice wants to make examples of them) ... ... but maybe I'm just a sucker for a good sob story
bye, stid! Drive carefully!
... yup ... that's my view
... especially in the mountaings
ok, Dennis and Frank are on their way back from radiation therapy (for Dennis - our friend) so I should probably get off Dennis's computer :-)
(I've been staying in his room at the nursing home while he goes, so he doesn't have to pack up all his stuff)
see you all later!
bye Sue!

molly did u get a chance to read the chog from last night fip
No, the flip frightens me. What's up?
our friend flipped out on someone for accidentally calling a word that wasnt in the grid
said they wasted our friend's time lol
thats when i left the chog for th night
*pours oil on troubled water*
*Sigh* That's too bad. Some people just can't leave well enough alone.
hi jmc
hey jmc and lyx
lynxxx!
read it cosd and it doesn't look like he flipped out to me: Oh, well you called it like it was in the grid. So I wasted a little time looking for it.
Oh no problem,... it was a word that should have been accepted in the grid. But there are legit words from time to time that aren't.
that was a quote too
in the emails i used to get - its flipping out for him but i digress
I understand Cos.
the re6/18 before the exam again please?
BBS
ah well it is better to assume that people are not flipping out at the flip . . . i hate it when people leave the chog in a huff for any reason
Rip again.
hb lynxxx
thanks molly
ty molls
i didnt leave in a huff. i left because i was annoyed. and thats all ill say now.
I didn't read that as Cos left the chat in a huff. Just that he preferred not to read it anymore. I do that a lot.
sorry i didn't mean to say you left in a huff. . . mea culpa
no prob :)
i edited that comment three times too :-(
Once, twice, three times an edit...
even emoticons don't solve all tone issues!
lol! thats funny
oh just noticed. under 100 left
there is a libertarian think tank in the grid today
No, they don't. And sometimes emoticons and "LOL" are used sarcastically. It's a two-dimensional communication world here.
wd cosd
Hi
Hey Herin
i never thought to use them sarcastically . . . a new world opens up
hi herin
hi Infernal
/Jm is it your birthday tomorow
/ Jm is it your birthday tomorow
i never use LOL saracastically but I know a lot of people who do.
it is herin. . . i forget is it tomorrow there already?
so complex :)
*Busy baking cake and setting up champagne fountain*
Morning Lynxx. Sorry about that double post not liking this wee keyboard
SO Happy Birthday
*pretends not to see what molls is doing*
((((Happy Birthday jmc))))))
Well it is not tomorrow here yet, so I still have time...to be on time.
haha ty herin and lynxxx good to get a jump on it
hello dear friends - and happy almost birtday, dear jmc!
I have to remake a cake for a friend. It was his birthday on the weekend and he didn't get a slice. I promised to make him another one. AND I have to send cookies interstate
Hey Trif
sorry, I thought you were all doing typos - what is an emoticon?
hi trif and ty

hi dc
i don't re6 to your query, cos, so i'm not sure i can answer it well.
re+not on time
ah thankks!
Lynxx you know the Peter Alexander PJ range?
Trif...I'm telling Tor what you said.
Know of them Infernal. you got some?
not to sound blue, but....feeling sorta blue here.
stick around a while and we will make you pink!
why so blue?
molly, it is completely safe for me to AdORE seain
I've got some red, roses for a blue lady
thanks jmc! you always do!
Yes. They were a tad small now they fit comfy. It is really strange actually wearing warm fitting pjs instead of tents. I got them at the factory outlet. They are so warm
R's done!
nice herin. . . hard work well done!
herin, I am so proud of you for your success and how hard you have been working to get in shape - rock it, girl!
wtg cosd
Ray for cosdem!
Forget your troubles, come on get happy. We're gonna chase all the blues away.
*starts tap dancing*
I am happy. I have lost at least 2 undie sizes and about 3 dress sizes. 20pounds down at last count. All from changing what we eat. Still eat the pringles and the chocolate but not the heavy foods like pizza and red meat all the time.
some growing pains with the new fella....not sure what direction to head in....I suppose those are natural when just starting out though, right?
Yes, natural.
Yes they are Trifs and that is why communication is so important
Well done Infernal, really well done
shout hallaluah come on get happy get ready for the judgement day
Seriously never thought that changing what we eat would make such a difference. I know that sounds silly but makes sense in my mind.
yes trif. . .
Are you following a particular plan, herin?
i understand. . .you think how can these small things make a big difference?
I think I am just nervous is all....it's still new, of course.
Nope. Just more veggies less dairy and red meat.
breathe in; breathe out
i could give up meat (not happily) but i don't think i could give up cheese
trying. trying to work on not over-analyzing, second guessing, and freaking out -- all my strong suits
I truly don't have the stamina to go through the whole dating ritual again.
ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!
not sure I do either, molly. It's EXHAUSTING trying to figure out what it all means.
RUN JMC!
i would love to go through it again trif
*RUNS DOWN THE STREET YELLING WAAAAIIIITTTT!!!*
You're in rare form jmc! Hi everyone....
Exhausting...perfect word Trif.
do your ears hang low; do they swing to and fro; can you tie them in a knot can you tie them in a bow. . .
I liked it at first - jumping whenever he phoned, heart pounding, the whole teenager-infatuation whirl. but then....
Just enjoy it for what is Trif
hi champ. . .moi?
Don't play innocent with me!
Alas, it never stays at the beginning part, Trif.
i can hardly wait until the kids in this neighborhood get old enough to stop the ice cream truck. . .i can't get down the stairs fast enough
thank god it never stays at the beginning!
no, molly, and I didn't expect it too - but I am feeling more like its a bait and switch....
i must be stoooopid , i can't find the last fe5/20...any clues please
Yeah, but that's when a lot of relationships crumble. When the "newness" wears off.
no no no trif. . . it is all about focus
I agree, molly. which leads to....I am exhaustd, trying to figure it all out.
JM you seen the Eddy Murphy sketch on ice cream truck?
focus....that is a good word. and balance. it's a lot about balance too
before you go to bed think of what he did today that you appreciated and what you did for him that was a nice gift
fe5 fe & singer Leo Sa***
no never did herin . . .sorry i missed it
ty lynxxx
Oh my, this is getting all hearts and flowers-y
OH HERIN! Car and I could tell you a story about that routine, and my mom in a hotel room in London, that would make you wet your pants!
even better tell him about both things
The Eddie Murphy routine on the ice cream man is hysterical.
hey molls i knows i am not known for my sensitivity . . . but i believes this shit
I will try, jmc. I overanalyze EVERYTHING, which I can imagine gets exhausting from his point of view
And Trif...then...then sing him...I-aye-aye-aye, will ALWAYS LOVE YOU-oooooooo....
it is why i have a good relationship with the boy because i still do this so i don't want to punch him out
eye roll - Molly!
molly LOL!!
*glares at molls*
well i admit i * * sarcastically
*kicks the pb door*
I think I get jiggy because I am raising two daughters who are looking to me as a guideline as to how to behave in a relationshp. Don't want to raise doormats
*screams uncontrollably*
I dont think you would Trifs
Trif, look at it this way. Guys don't analyze anything. They just fart, get another beer and go see what's on TV.
oh but actively focusing on why you like the guy is not being a door mat!
molls i need to introduce you to a better class of guy
It might be if he is not actively focusing on the same thing.
jmc, I am quite clear on what I like, and why I like him, and all the rest. He gave it the full court press for the first month or so, and now....now not so much. and I have no idea how to interpret things
They do but they dont need to blab all day about it.
what an odd word that ex6.36 is
Oh...he's slacking.
actually i created this concept when my hubby was alive and it was all that held us together sometimes
but he did it too
okay Ann Landers is leaving the chog
does that 6 extend for the nine, lynxxx?
lynxxx...care to clue?
see you all later
But then again himself can be a total cave man and just grunt answers at me. Works either way
*poof*
thanks for listening ann!
no Trif
thanks lynxxx
ex & the end of what an ant or fly is
does the nine start with ex?
*Still pondering the concept of "better class of guy"*
Yes Trif - try ex & vwl & a box/s
well that IS an odd one...thank you!
what a strange word. thanks again, lynxxx
yw yw
hidie ho everyone!
And Trif, before the conversation gets flushed out of the chat log...I seriously doubt you are raising doormats.
thanks molly. perhaps I am afraid I am one
hi Peri
ex8 means Feel or express great loathing for. Curse; swear.

I am listening in the background to the live feed from the paddle to squaxin. So many wonderful stories and songs... I wish I could go in person but not up to walking far right now. They are going to have several more days where each canoe family gets to share their culture a little bit with the others. Earlier there were Maori, and now the Tlingit... it's marvelous. But it means I keep wandering away to watch dancing!
hey dpom!
sounds like a wonderful event that I would enjoy stid.
yes, Bugs, I think you would! In fact, I think some a family from Nanaimo is here -- I am sure there is one from Comox
Good evening Babblers

I will check it out. Trying to find words, watch Olympics, pretend I am painting and now watching You Tube.........
also watching olympics and trying to find words quickly so i can focus on olympics
LOL bugs! multitasking the multitasking?
now BellaBella (heiltsuk nation) the art is so lovely, and just small variations from one group to the next. I am loving this.
hey all, I am watching olympics, trying to get dog to relax, I think we are going to have a storm.
hey red!
poor puppy (((gentle hugs for puppy))) storms are no fun. We are feeling storm-like but I don't think it's going to break today.
I hope the skies open up! It is sooo hot.

I am missing that one too, bichon.
liittle pretty things in sky + steven spelberg's alien + plural letter
bellabella are a salish tribe from canada, up in B.C. there is a massive gathering being hosted this year by our local tribe, the squaxin (who are coast salish, different language)
ty cos
st7: liittle pretty things in sky + steven spelberg's alien + plural letter
what you are seeing is not on the live stream TV I am watching. I wish I could see the dancing too
the dancing is over now... it was fun. an eagle dance I think.
This chat is like ADD
I think they covered the camera because it's a sacred moment now.
the Grand Parade has ended and the feed went blank. This event must be huge. I saw the boats coming in on the news last night
It sure is Molly. you might even need a tin foil hat!
yes, Bugs -- our local news didn't carry the landing. I am very sad... this is a MAJOR event and we have people from all over the world here, just one peninsula over at Kamilche. And the local paper has only a few pictures up from yesterday. Pretty shabby.
most First Nations things are not covered well. It is very sad
hi again, everyone! clue for the st5.12? after the look without blinking?
st 5 is a word which means place
I am so in love with the local coast salish culture and language -- it is not mine, but I wish it were. I honor their knowledge of the land and water, and think perhaps my ancestors felt the same about their land and water as my neighbors do.

By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
Hi Minveryork. tell us about the presentation please
Well actually I was on the phone for a while. But it was on hold with Verizon so it didn't count, except for having to type one handed.
ty, bicon.

It went ok.Not many people saw. There was so much other stuff going on. I fe 4/7 like I did all that work for nothing.

ex6.36 ex and the end of what an ant or fly is
hello Min! what did you present?
Aw Min, that's too bad.
start with a cheap diner for the e words
hey lynxxx!
hi Stid and all
Some refer to consuming food and some with making a living.
thanks for the EX word
thanks!!!
Had to make a PowerPoint presentation for summer school
hi again all! home finally!
I am sorry Min. It is discouraging when noone seems to care but at least you know more about Powerpoint and your first time jitters are over
Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
oh --- I am sorry people didn't get to see it, Min. I know how much thought and time goes into something like that.
different E but thanks! Ineeded those words too.
I can't even imagine doing that Min - well done
hi, min! I am good although tired and a bit stressed.
Min. It is frustrating about those presentations...
ex8/9 ex & vwl & a box/s
I've been doing one...all month and people keep saying, "Oh I made some minor changes..."
You might have to think out of the box to get the ex8/9 combo.
Yes, that's true.Hopefully if I have to do another one it will go quicker. But hopefully, that is the only one I have to do
good one wht
It will definitely go quicker next time, Min -- just remember to always save your work each time you make a change or add a new slide... sometimes I haven't and sometimes that's a mistake!
I've done powerpoints under contract for a publisher - if you are a physics or astronomy professor and adopt one of about five or six books, you have the option of doing your lectures from powerpoints I wrote
cute, wht
*considers changing professions so I can use sue's powerpoints*
at first they took me forever to do but now I can spit them out like nobody's business - it's mostly a matter of practice
there. down below 40. listing...
no kidding. I hate making ppts but i am pretty good at it...
I showed it to my students before presenting it and one kid said I made alot of mistakes. So I said, would you like to come and redo it?That shut him up!This the same kid who never paid attention in class, but of course he paid attention to all of my PowerPoint mistakes.
LOL well, at least you got his attention...
Oh yes,I saved after creating each new slide.I've lost things before due to not saving so I definitely learned my lesson.
127 left for me. I am not going to complete, but I am ok, I am really tired.
Wouldn't it have been great if you could have thot to say, "Thanks for the feedback. I am counting on you to correct those mistakes for me." He could have done it and he wud think again before being too critical
tadone!! finito!!
good for you red, you made great progress in a short time!
YAY LBD!
I never think of those things until hours later when I am not so flustered.
Yay Dawg!!
congrats!!!!!
Yay lbd!
YAY lbd!

Time for the doggie/Olympics slumber party.

Hey crossy!

Hello Neil! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid.
Hello welki! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
hi min - how'd your presentation go?
It was okay. Not too many saw it because there was a lot of other things going on there. Fe 4/7 like I did a lot of work for nothing, but at least I now know how to make a PP.
a success - especially now that you've gotten your feet wet and now know what to do if you're asked again :)
I was le 5/14 about starting a big puzzle with little time But I did&quit after finding to 4/4 of words and getting a to5/10 of 2007 points. Now here is a story of clues for today's da4/5 July 30, 2012. The story today re 7/28 to my job as a teacher. I ea 4/4 a living as a teacher. Many of my students live in a poor area. Unfortunately, their parents didn't play their ca4/6s right and never went to college. My students are very low academically. But that do4/5 not matter. I re 4/4ly ca4/5 about the students I teach, even the obnoxious sn 5/10. I do 4/5 on them as much as I can. It just brings te4/4 to my ey4/4s to think about the sad home life of my students. I also fe 4/7 el 5/10d when I see a lightbulb go off in their heads when they understand something I've taught them.I try not to teach to the state te4/4s.I since4/5ly hope that they so 4/5 to bright futures with successful careers inst5/12 of dropping out of high school. I hope that when they are seniors, somebody st5/10s them in the right direction & encourages them to go to college. Some of my students are already shining st4/4s. Da4/5! My fe 4/7 wants the laptop!Better give the laptop to him before he becomes ira4/4. I hope that you've made no 4/4 of my clues and found some more words. By the way, this is not a tall ta 4/4. This story is true.I am going to get up on my fe4/7 and go watch Al 4/5 Baldwin in 30 Rock. I'll ra4/5 right back here la5/10 to help clue for the re 4/4 of the nite
re 6/18, last one, pls

Thanks so much for doing the stories for us....they really help.
Hi Peach
hi molly (peach? gapeach?)
hellos!
hi via :)
hello viajes
Hi there Molly, m'dear.
clue pls for ex6?
ex + religious group
ty. st 7/28pls?
Hi there welki.....I had to have my computer totally revamped.....they wiped out my email list ....all for $240.00 for one year. I can't get my gapeach back....I've emailed Jamie and he told me how to do it....obviously, I'm not smart enough to do it. Perhaps later.
Hello carolamaya! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
sorry to hear, peachy
Hello viajes! How are you doing today? Welcome to puzzle.
ohhhh, sorry, peach - that's crappy!! but GLAD to see you here :)
Via is here? Our absentee Babble player? Cool.
Thanks, TO.
WHO kissed you, owl?
Thanks, welki.
(the st 7 i have is the plural of st****phonic
excuse me?
i heard that someone kissed you at a concert maybe?
Hello! I was at a Fringe Festival in KC, Molly, so I was not around a lot.
Man, the Babble grape vine is full throttle these days.
ooooo gossip!
maybe not - maybe someone else was smooched :)
really! lol you scared me, actually someone kissed me at a gatering last week. you all are scary! it was JD souther
i need to live vicariously
ohhhhhhhhhh - don't know what he's like now, but i'd have swoooooooooooooned if he kissed me in the seventies (or the bleachers, or the bar, or the car, or or or or........ *singing love will keep us aliveeeeeeeee*)
Hello Shirlockc! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
The JD Souther that is a musician? I've heard a lot about him.
well welk, he is a bit grayer and frailer...but still in good voice and still a wag :D
*grinning* a wag, eh?
OK, I'm impressed and I don't often get impressed....but GOOD FOR YOU, TO!
i'm a little surprised that his voice has held out -- difficult to keep that range
Via I assume that festival had nothing to do with the TV show Fringe.
WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! GO USA!!!! Missy Franklin - gold in backstroke!!!!!!!
No. Fringe theater festival.
oh sheesh -- it's a replay
And someone may have kissed me there. But I can't say.
there is a fringe festival here as well, in the spring. works outside the norm, hence fringe
I read something about that on a rest room wall.
LOL via!
our fringe fest starts friday (i'm going fishing)
If we do come back, I want to be a promoter. I would have been good at it this time....but I'm too old now.
*trying to figure out if molly heard about missy franklin or if my reputation has reached the bathroom wall stage*
welki must be in Saskatoon or Calgary...
brb
calgary
I know the circuit quite well :)
Ahh! Doorbell! Will be back later.
No TO, I read about Via's adventure on the rest room wall.
LOLOLOLOL
That must be him now.
time to go. ty for the clues and happy babbling
Bye TO
'night owl - you lucky recipient :)
well welk, if you see him just tell him he is on good voice today. that is all it took. but it took me y surprise!
*writing down instructions* will do - and thanks for the tip *lol*
Goodbye 72 Temple Owl! I will see you tomorrow in the log
*grin* jeez welk, i just read he hates fans and strangers and rearely performs live. go figure.
anyone need a clue or two before i go?
i recall that he's very private - you must have said exactly what he needed to hear :)
lots and lots still have 88 left, but not ready to ask yet
owl - before you leave - have you ever heard of judy sill?
I have heard of her sister welki : Window
she and jd souther were supposedly a couple way back when - i loved her voice and her lyrics. she was a 'casualty' of bad choices
welll i walked right into him after his set, it seemed like i needed to say SOMETHING, and i meant what i said
hi ru
no, welki. i know he dated linda ronstadt
*waves to Welki*
if you ever have the time to search for her, please do - i think you'd appreciate her effort, if not the total product (i really liked her)
Linda Ronstat is as big as Aretha these days
she's a little 'rough around the edges' - maybe that's why i connected with her music
will do, welk. have you heard of elin jewell?
(loping along through the cosmos - and a version of kyrie elyison (or however you spell it)
se5-20 please....thanks
no - but know you well enough that i should :) will look her up pronto
you want me to do what? se*** you??????
apparently judee sills is still singing
or is on you tue - she is fab!
judy sills .. different. judy sill (no s)
hard to sing when you are dead
listening to foolish games
judee sill, is that right? seems the right timeframe
yes, judee sill - but she died in like 1978 or something
(oh! i like sea of tears!)
i love her! thanks, welk
g'night folks - thanks owl!
and night everyone, as well
nite welki
Sweet dreams, welki.
Goodbye welki! I will see you tomorrow in the chog maybe=

HI une
I felt like such an idiot.. I missed by a couple of minutes
Dr GOd was not merciful
Une, Breaking Bad is creeping me out.
Babble is merciless. I am trying to get over being upset when life interferes before I can finish
the vibe between Walter and wife has gotten VERY creepy
Walt has gotten very creepy. But then, I always thought he was a douche from day one.
passed half way and didn't notice it....
is there a re-gluing Good?
does his wife know if he's a friend or an enema Molly?
pretty shocking how Jesse just kinda threw away his "instant new family"
<---quietly laughs at his own jokes....
ruru LOL
since no one else does
We are being led right down the garden path to Jessie finding out all the shitty things Walt did to him and going ballistic. I can't wait.

Awwwwwwwww! Poor Ru!
*sniffle*
ru wants his gold medal for Babble jestering
*Holds up a 10 sign*

Just to be fair, guys wear le7s too.

Baryshnikov would probably argue that point.
LOL, Molly, buzz60 just predicted lots of Vamonos Pest shirts this Halloween!
The graphic on the side of the trucks of the bug running away is hysterical.
well.. he's the one exception
I saw him dance once in SF.. simply amazing
Wow, it must have been awesome to see him in person.
My MIL went with us.. she had the hots for him
the drool was more than I could bear on the next seat
but he was great really great...everything they say about him is true
Ew, we do not need to know who our mother-in-laws have the hots for. EVER.
she also had the hots for Yo Yo Ma too
Obviously, she goes for the classical types.

Ladies and Gentlemen! The meandering Babble people!
:-D
The wander aimlessly from pillar to post, only stationary when they are in front of their Babble screens.
*they wander*
Indeed, we do. You're a sage, Molly.
No, I don't think I put that in correct order....but you know what I mean,
Just once, instead of *wanders in* I would like to see someone post *struts in and plants her sassy ass in the chat log*
Oh, Molly, have you ever watched "Keeping Up Appearances" on BBC? If you have, remember Onslow? Daisy's husband was played by Geoffery Hughes.....died from prostate cancer....was only 68.
No I didn't watch that , but Cos posted about him earlier. He seems to have been a very well loved actor.
*Struts in and plants fat ass in chat log, immediately falling over backwards as chair collapses*
I meant to do that ..
We are proud of you, torgie. You are our manly man.
You ARE our manly man Tor. Well done.
Well, m' dears. I have 42 left and it has become like work and so I'm going to watch TV until the flip. That's kind of like rats leaving a ship isn't it? LO)L
