pa 8 is past tense

ag 5/14 a + opp of stop + cheer at sports event
half way - enough for tonight :)
ar4 - land, place, neighb ourhood
2nd row? i think ae4 and ae7...

clue please for pa8......I cannot find it!!
past tense for verb - humorous or satirical piece
pa8, pa + fishing *** + 1 vowel + abbreviation for newspaper chief
no 6 or 7 with the pa 8... vowel changes at the end for the past tense, and we don't have the sometimes vowel
thankyou!!
yqw hi rose!

lol dee i was looking for a no6/7 til i realized no N's
spent last hour of shift doing stock-taking. :( not only boring as all get out, but very hard on my FM
lol hate when I do that, cos
hello again all -- took a time-out to reply to an email from son
oooh, I bet it is
hi jili! How are you feeling?
dee, have been doing some research...apparently there have been some very good results with the usage of dopamine. going to ask my GP on monday.
rose, did you get my message?
still sore, dee -- seeing doc tomorrow, but did manage to get a lot of errands done today -- sloowwwly!
what is the composition of the new drug lyrica? Is that dopamine?
???? checking now flosey. and jilli, how goes it with the cream i sent?
Amazed, you are already that mobile, jili. So you got your new car?
not sure dee, will have to google it
I tried it, granny -- thanks a lot -- helped a bit, I think -- has rather a pungent scent!
lol, not as bad as some i have tried, jilli
I got my not-so-new car, dee, and have to get around. It's only the upper body which is sore.
jilli, make it pa4 of your daily routine, after the undies, before the socks. * grin *
glad you have some improvement. Did you break or crack any ribs?
It says to use it 5 times a day, and I can't get undressed that often in the middle of winter!
* giggle * i usually use it once a day, as i said, as a pa4 of my daily dressing routine.
nor can I reach all the affected parts, now that I've injured my left shoulder as well as my right side. I live alone.
Sometimes I use a shower brush to reach those places when my hubby is gone.
dee, apperently there was a broken rib, but that didn't bother me! It's the muscular injuries which are the problem -- and now the shoulder from the trip=up on Monday.
jilli. maybe rub the left shoulder, wait a while, then try the other bits. like, rub your shoulder when you wake up, then when you are getting dressed, try to rub the other pa4s
I see; you just have a bunch of owies! So very sorry you are dealing with all of them.
I did do that, granny. Also iced the shoulder. But it's hard to move it.
Oh well, this too shall pass.
awww, poor jilli. that does make it difficult for you, sweetie.
to 7 x 2
Thanks for all your caring.
Grannyrose - I finally got your clue!!! My brain hurts! Does it always take "newcomers" this long to understand?? Thank you for your patience!
We all hurt, when another babbler hurts. :)
jilli, just wish i was around the corner in canvasback drive. would be there in a shot.
morning all. One way to apply pain-killer cream to an awkward p4 of your back: try putting cream on a piece of plastic film then lie down on it? Mind you dont slip though.
ohh, good tip scouser
granny whats a canvasback?
slip and slide!
hi scouser, great plan
* imagining jilli wriggling like a fish on plastic film *
scouser, i have been reliably informed it's a type of water-bird in canada
lol... made me think of old joke about wrapping oneself in saran wrap before hubby comes home...
what about these loofahs with the long sticks? can you put cream onthat and rub on ur lower back?
Oh sorry misread that . Also I only meant a small piece of plastic not an acre of it. Anyway you are not meant to apply cream to more than a small ar4 at a time
Hi scouser... LTNS. :)
another good idea, co
And Rose! :)
my doctor recommended using a long-handled spatula - I got a nice teflon one that is so4
a loofah might also work well
* cos *
?
{{ Neil }}}
Hi Neil : indeed. How's the brain?
dee: kathy bates did the saran thing in fried green tomatoes
Ummm... not sure anymore.
Voleymom isn't a loofah scratchy?
Not starting this grid at this hour.
I'll leave this for sometime tomorrow.
probably where I first heard of it...one of my very favorite movies
towanda! :)
Neil - we just expect you to provide instant lists - though today lickety was like lightning
some are softer - almost like a sponge if damp
exactly, cos!
Why, scouser? It's not necessary.
Especially not when Lickety is up.
k im off. gn all!
But in any case, it's redundant. So I'm happy not to have to do it.
Anyway... TC. I'm logging off. I'm on GT.
ooh, Neil...i really like the new icon picture.
No but you got us through the time when lickety was a bit erratic for which thanks.
I do have a long wooden spoon which I've used for suntan cream on the back -- trouble is, one has to have functioning shoulder joints to maneuver such things
Huh? I doubt it. I was clearly wasting my time... it was never necessary. So I've stopped. :)
Anyway... oh hi jilli. Hope you're feeling better?
I'm sore but ok, neil, thanks
And thanks Rose. But I'm logging out since I'm leaving this grid for tomorrow... you know where to find me if you want to chat while I'm still up? And glad to know you're ok jilli. Just wish you weren't sore.
A canvasback is a kind of duck -- googleable ;-)
Take care! *over and out*
Ah jillibus sorry. I hadn't realised both sides were being a pain. Hope you mend soon.
np's Neil....but have a few words to find....will login when finished
Why can't I get the list to refresh at all......tried everything?
bfn, neil
Flask, did you go out and come back in?
Jillibus and GrannyRose: I thought it was a kind of vehicle until I realised GR meant an address. Dozy me.
3 times flosey
lol, scouser
Flask1 you using Google Chrome? it seems to be having problems last two days.
yes..I am.....what can I do?
I couldnt get anything to scroll or shrink screen etc so gave up and went back to ie8 instead.
ok thanks!
At first I thought it was just that everyone was wanting to see what happened about that helicopter crash and system overloaded, but it was same later in day too.
IE 8 messed up my BabbleExpert so I went back to 7. I usually use Firefox and wish I could get rid of IE altogether but it insists on taking over BabbleExpert.
Somewhere in its guts it must have a setting? I notice when I run ie8 though, it is very busy doing I- know-not-what in the background. aaaargh
those cookies get everywhere
Have just decided the chog is so useful: it interrupts train of struggle with the grid and when I look back at grid hey presto four more words done.
I love the chog
me three...all though i have to admit not participated much lately. don't want to drag the mood down.
I was quite nervous to start with, and joined at a time when there was a lot of non-general "insider" chat about a particular person, which put me off for a while. However, I really like it now.
Since when GR have you dragged the mood down? You usually v chipper
I second that, scouser
awww, thanks scouser....but sometimes i am very morose...that's when i don't join in.
there was a bad chog time a while ago -- gone now.
see GR. maybe lower the tone but not the mood!
* smiling at you, jilli *
granny, you're always an uptick here.
Is it my imagination but are there lots of weird little words in this grid?
lol, scouser.....yes, the tone....that is something i do regularly...but i have a VERY earthy sense of humour
I will have to go and do a few chores (found a suspicious blackened tray in base of oven yesterday - dishw4er ho! ) I love the chog for the abbreviations too
now I have just downloaded Firefox....no difference!!
maybe later, scouser. if not, hope you have a great day
you might try rebooting your computer flask; I was just able to open lickety
Dear me Flask. I looked at your picture - perhaps your T-shirt says it all?
wa 7/56 compound word
thanx dee
yqw
TY Dee and yes OK girls - I gotta go in the kitchen. See even the grid is saying so.
phant -- wa4board
I tried w4dog - I'm sure there must be such a beast?
swims about with plates in its mouth
wishful thinking, scaouser!
*scouser
I suppose it only works when the water runs in the other wa4 and it uses a sw4
I found wa7 and I really appreciate this chat even though I am quiet.......I think I confused everyone this afternoon so everyone is best off if i keep a low profile. Thank you all and goodnight
see you again in here joaniok
night, joan...nice to see you in the chog
nite!
hi joani -- I wasn't here this afternoon -- don't hang back!
I wrote you before Grannyrose, but maybe you missed it! Thank you for your clues! Feel better Jilli - I understand and can feel your pain. I hope you get some relief.
np's joan. glad to be able to help you
Back briefly. It's 11:39 pm already.
found a 4-letter sw word that should be allowed and isnt - anagram of the crows word. All is right with the world.
Bye all
anyway, I'm too tired to go on -- happy babbling all...*poof
And yes... hope the pain's a lot better soon jilli!
Take care.
night, dear friend. hope you rest well, jilli
It's 20 mins to midnight, Rose.
Neil, still babbling here...as usual
Yes. And I'm waiting up.. got work in the morning. Guess I shouldn't then.
thanks, all -- at least I can lie on my back now -- as I said, this too shall pass
Oh good jilli.
I don't suppose anyone has done a list today??
Neil, maybe tomorrow....no work the day after....can spend some time with you then.
Lickety did...*repoof
Well not me. I stopped since it wasn't needed.
flask, lickety's list is up
Oh good... Lickety's there.
After I've waited around about half an hour.
I know, but I can't get my pc to refresh the clues....tried everything!
Good night.
night, Neil. hope you rest well. see you tomorrow.
flask, try going below tile stats and opening licket's babble clues in a new tab
excellent, thanx Granny!...x
now save the link to your desk-top
done...you're a star Granny....thankyou!
fireworks... I am off til the morrow!
yay, flask. nice job
WTG DEE!!!
ty...sleep well gran!

sh1t + fart = shart...duh
WTG FLOSEY!!! and ba-ack
hiya rose *hugs*
hey to you hun
looks like a good grid today. Not too many series though.
no, hun. beware of the babblets!!!!
ah, one of those. Let's see if I can remember them all, LOL!
good morning all, please could i have a clue for the A in the bottom row. I know there are 6 of them but I can't seem to find any.
if I solemny promise to clean myself, wouldn't that be a wa4oa4?
hi Jjenny :)
hi sprite
Jjenny: where the leftovers end up from a sunken ship. They drift as6/21
thanks sprite, that gives me nbs and nbt and i just need 10 more to reach half way
good job!
yay, jenny...well done!!!
can i please get a hint to the ag 5??
ag5 is latin for square, a closed-in ar4.
gardner, means a market place, ag + either/** + a vowel
then latin plural it for ag6
thank you very much
yvw
sprite, just emailed you, hun
oh rose, lovely, will write back to you today. I have a whole day off!
maybe not, maybe yes...waiting your response.
ok, done
done with email, not yet with grid!
answered, sprite. can i help you with grid?
thank you, I am still happily plodding along with the grid, still need 43 words. But I will answer your email first.
awwww, thanx sprite
hello?
are my two dear friends still here?
I have a "stolen" half hour
{{{{ ruby }}}} my darling
hello my rose! how are you?
rods
whoops\
my dear...doing okay...participating in stock-take at work....hard on the knee and associated muscles.
poor knees!
you are amazing, to be able to work with such pain and perpetual discomfort
pr
hiya ruby! *hugs* Finally working on the package I promised to send you.
{{sprite}}
rose: email sent. I hope it is of help to you.
hello hello no no
and hi Nanette :)
am having a lovely day here... no obligations except Terra and the children. Was up very early, meditated, breakfasted (!), sent off the kids to school and then had a little nap! And now Babble. With my friends. I am a happy sprite today.
it is terribly cold here and windy, the wind being the worst of it.
Ruby is almost 10, so that is my blessing for this month.
it is very cold here as well. I don't really mind, it is a healthy cold here.
she is amazing. A strong lady dog.
anything beyond 10 will be a miracle for me and her coat is the longest and most beautiful of her life!
I just realized, I belong in the PB for the de4 :(
if anyone can keep her going beyond expectations, it is you, ruby
that is a good place to be. Warm, full of goodies, and lovely company.
I'm sure the nightly (loooong) massages help and also the provocations from onster-boy, who is now considerably bigger
yes, he keeps her young.
the massages are bad for my knees, but, right now, Ruby is more important!
I like this grid a lot.
ruby, sweetheart, you need to find a way to do it without hurting your knees. On the bed, maybe? Or even on a table. No need to choose... you can help her AND be careful with your knees!
thanx sprite. and now i need to call it a night. love and hugs to both you and ruby.
sometimes I put a pillow on the floor next to her and feall asleep
{{rose}}
*hugs rose* Sleep well, dear one!
* giggle * i think ruby means my knee, sprite.
lol! Well, your knees are just as important, that is for sure :D
and now, off to poopy lunch
* poof * awww, i misread...poor ruby...
*woof* and {{sprite}}
ruby and Ruby hahah
bye ruby, a hug for you and your husband.
yesterday, people were suggesting that ruru and I were realy the same person hahah
{{{ hugs}}} ruby and sprite. i'm outta here.
lol ruby! Well I can tell a difference or two ;)
fireflies. Bye all.
hello, is anybody here?
me, ((ruby)) how is life treating you?
{{annie}} I'm so happy to see you
life is OK, weather is poop, Burt is horrible!
Aside from that, I'm fine!
How about you?
Ruby is an exceptionally beautiful dog.
she owns my heart
I am so sorry about Burt. Is there anything that can be done to ease the situation.
she is the most sweet dog of my six. When Rufie, aggressive and adorable monster-boy, comes near to her food, she just walks away
I am not so hot..been suffering from recurrent UTI's but I hate to talk about it.
no, I'm afraid there is nothing to be done about Burt. I just try to not allow his depression to drag me down
don't know what is a UTI
Lucky you!!! Urinary tract infections.
ruby, Is is possible Burt has the beginning of dementia? Hate that word.
I am in the midst of reading "Far From the Tree" which devotes a big chapter to DS. I've read it and gained many insights, but I think it might be very painful for you.
at 87, nothing would surprise me. I just wish he could try to look at the bright(er) side, how strong he still is, etc.
Instead, he rummaged around in his past for regrets, slights, mistakes, etc., and repeats them, endlessly
Down Syndrome? Is there a book I havent read about DS? Who wrote Far From the Tree? It wouldnt be painful for me.
do you eat yoghurt, Annie?
Yes, I do.
Andrew Solomon is the author and DS is just part of the book. He is wonderful, has interviewed 100's (maybe 1000's of families), and I've learned a lot.
ruby, at 87 if he wants to rummage, what can you do? Leave him to it. Do you still have lunch in the resto? He still enjoys that and does he still drive down?
Oh, that book, it is a best seller here. I might get it.
the worst seems to be autism spectrum syndrome where the parents don't receive back the love they give.
Autism is heartbreaking. They are starting to make strides tho.
he doesn't enjoy it, but he drives down )3 mins) and does it for me. Mainly, I interact with the owners (the chef came and picked upp and installed our little freezer for the dying fridge) and I go there to cuddle my Capone.
he hardly eats except when I cook
When is his daughter coming for a visit?
I think it's a wonderful book and I've learned a lot from it. Solomon, himself, has various problems and is truly compassionate and very smart
Is he the one who has a son who is a genius? I think I read a profile about the book and author in The New Yorker.
I haven't invited her yet. She was here in Sept for his birthday and will come whenever I send her a ticket but my 70th birthday is in April and I am hoping (fruitlessly, I think) that my son will come or maybe my niece from London, but am reluctant to invited her yet
I read about the book in the NYer, but he is gay, so I don't think it's the same man
You are having a biggie coming up.
If I still have the back issues I will try to find it.
yes, but I'm not up for a big party and we have only one double bed in the guestroom. I will just be happy if Ruby lasts that long
maybe 2 months ago.....
I will look.
and my friend, Joanne, from Miami is coming in May. She wanted to come for the birthday, but I suggested coming after and she and I will go off for one or two nights if I can find a quaint village within a 2-hour drive
What is the age expectancy of chows?
we've never had one make it to 10!
That would be a good respite for you. Go for it.
that is the problem with big, pure-bred dogs
Oh ruby, I understand how you feel about Ruby.
Rufus had to be put down just short of 10,; his arthritis became unmanageable.
That is pure kindness and love.
I spend at least one hour massaging her at night and I think it's keeping arthritis at bay. I wish somebody would give me a massage.....
I am sitting at the computer in the bedroom and looking out the window and I can see the new Twin Tower and the Empire State Building.
I miss NY, Annie, and think of you often. Somehow, my best friend Shari and you have become melded in my thoughts. Definitely a good thing
We are still on generators. The House is being tight fisted for the monies to help NY, NJ and CT recover. They should all tour the devastion. The Northeast gives enough to help everyone and we are being put to the fire. I consider myself lucky. I still have a home.
that stinks, Annie, the money should have been released to NY and NJ immediately
What are they waiting for?
124 but no nbs or 7's or 8
They are waiting for us to go away. The Aquarium finally opened. Nathan's is still closed. They are rebuilding. Now I want a Nathan's hot dog with their wonderful french fries.
what deos the 8 start with?
did Bobby like the article about the walrus?
no idea about the 8....
yes. very much but he loved Ruby.
<-- loves Nathan's when I was young. We used to go there in the summer, after our store close (at 10) for fried shrimp and fireworks
pa 8.55
hiya lady
thanks lady
you are welcome
got it, thanks
I got a pa7 from that, but still looking for the 8
ruby, to imitate, to make sly fun of
dont have the pa7
the high places on a building pa7
ooh, thanks, ruby
nm, got it!
ty, it took a little bit of thinking
still not half, but I think I'll have my lie-down anyway......
Bobby is special for me; maybe he is my angel
have a peaceful lie-down
Name that proper noun...a city in one of the Dakotas. Can't remember if it is North or South.
FARGO the movie with France McDorman
ding ding ding!!!
as a pregnant state police
I loved that movie and I think Dormand is great
ask me anything about movies.....lol
so you are the "go to" person if I cant remember something about movies
usually, I recognize them by voices, which is very weird since DH is deaf
and I can recognize them from having read a review in the NYer
the ny'er..my favorite magazine
unfortunately, I only GO to the movies about once a month and that's with a GF who insists on their being dubbed into French. Better than nothing.....
without the NYer and movies and babble, I couldn't survive this isolation
The last movie I saw was Lincoln. Excellent.
((ruby)))
I'll have to wait 'til it's on TV as I wouldn't like to see it dubbed
movies for Bobby: Chocolat, Hachi, and I'll think of more
Hi Ruby, Annie {{hugs}}
The actors were all great. Sally Field deserves the Oscar as well as Day-Lewis.
{{smores}}
hugs back, smores and hi
*Tries to imagine Lincoln speaking with a French accent*
got a few minutes before taking smoresette to school
Hi Molly, I cant imagine
lol...hi Molly
dubbing is better than it used to be, but I miss the actors' voices. However, it's better than not going to the movies
Hugs to smoresette
{{molly}}
Sally Field should have gotten the Golden Globe too. I don't care what people say about Les Miserables, Sally Field is ten times the actress Anne Hathaway is.
absolutely without a doubt, Molly
the dubbing is very weird. I saw Hugo Cabret, dubbed in French -- great movie. Then, I saw it on TV in the original, much better. (Another movie for Bobby!)
<-- not an Ann Hathaway fan
Hugo Cabret, a movie or an actor.
Hugo is a great movie, I loved it.
Molly answered. thanks
it's a magical movie
I dont go to the movies often.
even better the second time
she says hi and hugs to you Annie
smores, Thank her for me for the hugs.
Not sure why it's Hugo Cabret in France. Here it's just Hugo.
we all need our hugs, especially in winter, unless you live in OZ!
I don't get to go aften either, usually wait for the dvd
If Hugo Cabret is playing at Cobble Hill I will go see it. If not, then it is not playing in Brooklyn
I enjoy movies much more in the comfort of my own home. Movie theaters are gross.
Oh, I have seen Hugo, I thought it was a different movie
Hugo isn't in the theaters anymore, it's out on DVD.
the problem with DVD's here is that the Fr system doesn't allow them to be shown here: I've had two, "mostly Martha" and "Exotic Marigold etc" which would not "read" on my player. Something to do with PAL (DIL says)
Agree, they can be rather disgusting.
You have to switch your DVD player function. There are UK version DVDs and American version. I found that out when I got the Downton Abbey Christmas special DVD in UK format.
There is an old fashioned single screen theather close to me that I enjoy
the cinaplex here is wonderful If you go to the first show, at 1:30 or 2PM, it is empty and very clean
BRB
I guess I have to subscribe to Netflix again.
when we saw L'Amour, there were only about 8 other people in the theater
*woof*
Good morning
Hi Car
Hi Molly...are you fake? I hope not....I like you just the way I think you are!
No, I'm real. : D
Yeah! :)
hi car. :)
Hello Annie! :)
good morning everyone
((Mom)) good morning
((Annie)) good morning
Nice looking clan, Mom. : )
Hi Molly, thank you
Mom, I used Ward Cleaver as a clue the other day and it reminded me of your June icon. : D
:-)
<---- loves June Cleaver
good morning all
hello wvteach
hi teach
Molly, I too got Downton Abbey for Christmas
I like that show.
I am still on season 1 but what I have seen I have really enjoyed
I did give in and watch the first episode of season 3
time to scoot. Mom and I are going to a new grocery store today
<--- leads such an exciting life
((Hugs)) to all of you and I wish you all a great day.
<---Loves the adventure of a new grocery store : D
bye ((Mom)) and say hi to your Mom for me
I too love the newness of a new supermarket
Hello again, daughters safely at school.
hi, all. anyone have a clue for the second ap5?
The first part of a book is Ch***** 1
Morning Angel, sorry, I don't have it yet.
ty Molly :)
ok, got it, thanks. I was trying to use a different A.
any clues for the pa8/55?
fireworks!
congrats, angel
WTG Angel :)
maj, pa...to imitate
pa 8 - to make a spoof of something - pt
spoofs, majmom....
pa8 is the past tense of a spoof on something.
congrats angel
Molly, much better clue
Cavalcade of clues
Thanks again :)
ty got it
and with wa 7- I am done.
woohoo Annie!! congrats :)
congrats Annie
bye dear babblers
Bye Annie {hugs} enjoy your day :)
thanks smores, you too, poof
hello one and all
:) hi hurshy
Morning, all. Smores, I want the original icon back!!! It reminds me I have permission to be juvenile.
i see we've got a P challenge again... sigh. BUT i did get the 8!
{Mimi}
lol....I'll put it back soon
I just got a pa6/7 accidentally
I'm happy when typos are helpful
<----doesn't like the P challenge
that is always nice.
Guess I just like some things to stay the same...not many, but certainly some. {{smores}}
woohoo mael, love when that happens :)
and it's words that I would never ever have gotten otherwise, haha
Did you click on my icon Mimi? Think you'll like the saying
hi all, good morning, btw!
so it's not the 6 that is people marching and floats and stuff, and the 7 that is similar but with a funny ending?
:) even better mael
Smores, saw your post yesterday about taking your daughter for driver's training...oh, boy. Now the real fun begins. My kids didn't get theirs until age 18 for some strange reason but I was more scared having them ride with friends because I trusted my kids more.
Yes, I do love the saying on this one, smores. Exactly follows my attitudes.
it's similar to the pa6/7 buildings
I mean, I got a pa5/6 not a pa 6/7
my mom never worried about my safety - only her money. having my friends give me rides saved her the green.
oh a 5/6... hmmm... buildings.... hmmm
She isn't start drivers ed just yet. Only getting her permit. Definately waiting until spring for the lessons.
oh, hurshy
I actually failed my driving test the first time. The instructor said to make a left the next chance I got so I did....but turned into the oncoming lane of a cross-county highway! He said to get off that road as soon as possible...he looked a bit "green."
LOL....too funny
I never got my driver's license, it's my new year's resolution for this year :)
i would have looked green too!
Funny that I've NEVER had an accident in all my years of driving.
There is a park close by to us that I have taken her and let her drive around.
morning
help with A under the P pls
Morning peri :)
ae4
duh, ty hursh
I've only had one and it when I was 17, many, many years ago lol
bbl
bl
I really emphasized defensive driving to the kids...gotta really watch out for other people. Also, they're very diligent now that they're older and can drink to have a designated driver...proud of that.
i hate people who weave all over the highway and don't even use their blinker. and you know those are the people who THINK they are the best drivers of all. but really if other people weren't driving defensively, and everyone drove like them, there would be lots more accidents.
Yes, I have spoken to her many times about both those issues.
Ever get the feeling you'd like to outfit them in a suit of armor before sending them out for ANY reason?!!
When she is in the car with me I always point out things like that.
Or bubble warp them :)
Also, my kids ALWAYS put their seat belts on before they even turn on the engine.
Guess I did some things right.....though get no credit.
They say parenting is sometimes a thankless job. :(
though one hates to admit it, being in accidents or not mainly involves a lot of chance. i got hit once and there really wasn't anything i could have done about it.
Still praying for your situation Mimi
do i know mimi's situation?
Thank you, dear. I appreciate that. Spent most of last weekend in tear thinking about my daughter....hate when that happens.
Very true Hurshy, sometimes there isn't anything you can do
{{ Mimi }}
It's complicated, hurshy. Suffice to say 2 of my 3 don't speak to me (or each other) and the third (with my grandsons) does but rarely. It's very sad and I'm totally heartbroken.
oh, i'm sorry.
They all live right here in the Phoenix area and I haven't seen any of them for nearly a year. So glad I have good friends.
<----wants to go to Phoenix soon
If I heard someone say these things, I'd think that person must have been a really bad parent, but I honestly wasn't...I was very loving and attentive and they NEVER even had a babysitter. We used to be very close.
<---also wants to give Mimi's kids a good shaking :)
Yes, smores....I want you to visit with the girls. I'd absolutely LOVE that. I won't be making the trip back to your area in the spring like I'd planned since my SSI was turned down. Am trying for a transcription job right now that I'm extremely qualified for.....PRAY!!
Good morning, all.
Hi Judi :)
You and the rest of my friends, smores. They'd love to come here and line up just to smack 'em.
Morning, Judi!
:( sorry to hear your SSI was turned down, will definately be praying for you dear
stats for the E first column please?
Sorry to hear about the family dysfunction, mimi. Perhaps you should start sending the offspring postcards from exoctic locations and write, "Here I am in ________, spending your inheritance!'
ef4/7
ed4/7
LOL...love it Judi
If there was an inheritance, I definitely would, Judi! I'm more angry now than hurt which is better for me in dealing with it.
ty
edger
who has inheritances any more? you're lucky these days if you can pay for your medical care without going bankrupt as you age.
sorry
lol...tried that too ML
I have a friend who's a great therapist who is dying to get us all in a room....boy, would they be dealt with!
smores and the strange thing is that it is a word
Too true, hurshy. I have no insurance right now and have had to put off getting much needed medical attention. I'm fortunate that my cardiologist treats me for FREE....he's a saint.
I have an older sister who hasn't spoken to anyone in the family in over 18 years. My brother made sure to contact her to let her know when my father died and when my brother died. She has bi-polar issues.
Third column E stats please?
At least she has an excuse. My kids are just selfish and cruel.
The rest of us have obviously moved on. I think she's living with a lot of regret.
eg4/7
what is their stated reason for not talking to you, mimi?
My point is, ever family has its share of dysfunction. Some more than others.
I even had a heart attack last year and it didn't change them for long.
ty bzz i should have seen that one
Way too complicated, hurshy. Not trying to be aloof or anything but there's some unfortunate history there. I just don't think one bad time should eliminate all the years of devotion...do you?
i'm the wrong person to ask, my parents are... difficult.
nbt
no Mimi, definately not
It's almost like I provided too good a model for them and when they found out I wasn't perfect they held it against me.
wtg ML :)
thanks smore
all that proves is they are not perfect either, perfection doesn't exsist in people, they need to realize that
The sad thing is that I know by now that what goes around comes around and they will be dealt with for doing this....and it won't be pretty. And you know who'll they come to for support.....and, of course, I'll be there.
Of course you will Mimi
We need to plan that camping trip, smores!! Ever been to Yellowstone? It's my favorite....close enough to drive from here. And, of course, the Grand Canyon is only about a 3-hour drive.
No, I haven't, it is one of the places I REALLY want to go to.
The Colorado Rockies are also a fave and only a few hours away as well. We do have breathtaking scenery all around us here. And close enough to the Pacific Ocean and Disneyland to do in a long weekend.
Am afraid you'll have to take SEVERAL trips, smores!
i have a sister and an uncle in colorado. my uncle has climbed all the tall ones... and he skis and whatnot
lol...I know, way too much to do in the time(and money) I have
My favorite place is Ouray, CO. It's a little town nestled into the mountains with hot springs. Kind of where all us old hippies went to open rock shops and delis.
Did I tell you what I told my kids I wanted to do with my ashes when I die? Want half sprinkled over the CO Rockies and the other half along the 17-mile-drive in Carmel, CA. That way, if they want to visit Mom, they get a nice vacation!
LOL
Think I would love Ouray then, I am still a hippie at heart :)
It would be just like them to want to visit me AFTER I'm dead!
you know what's funny about babble
Me, too, smores. The singing is going well and I'm still planning on making a "comeback" and singing with the band again...just for occasional events.
What, hurshy?
all these words you don't know... like we have teiid and teind - well i think of those together cause they are only one letter different and often appear in grids together. but i looked em up this morning and teiid is a lizard and teind is a scottish word for a tithe. totally unrelated!
really? that is funny
All the better to drive us all crazy!
lol..especially since it's such a short drive...for me anyways
yay for me i got all the F's
Language is fascinating to me, too. I think most languages typify their cultures. For example, Japanese is a very formal language and so is it's culture. Russian is stern and matter-of-fact. Spanish emphasizes family. And English is all over the place---especially American English.
woohoo hurshy :)
So glad the singing is going well Mimi :)
Me, too, smores....keep taking that drive over and over!
congrats hurshy
Hey, teach!
turelurelu, patapatapan
WTG, Hurshy!!!!
so true Mimi
Got a little Irish going there, hurshy?!!
:) hurshy
Irish? does that mean alcohol? no i am just singing the christmas song patapan bc this grid made me think of it.
No, dear...it was the first part, though spelled differently. I'm Irish descent---auburn hair (used to be anyway), blue eyes and freckles.
Though you do know why God created whiskey....so the Irish wouldn't take over the world.
:)
i might have irish in me, i don't know. the parts of my genealogy i know, i have english and german, the rest is def british isles but not sure which
french,english,indian....aka American Mutt :)
I was once close to an Irish pub on St. Pat's Day and a guy wanted to pinch me for not wearing green. I just said "Look at me--it doesn't get any more Irish than this...I don't have to wear green!"
I think that explains why the english language is 'all over the place".
probably a few others thrown in there as well :)
We're pretty much all mutts, smores...that's the beauty of this country and we should remember that.
norwegian, german, czech - but love things Irish - love irish music and dance
I always do Mimi :)
I know you do, smores...you have a beautiful spirit.
Hey, my first grandson was even born on St. Patrick's Day!
lol...I also had someone try to pinch me on St Pat day, pointed out my green eyes...then advised if he wanted to keep his fingers...well... :)
BTW, smores, did the girls like the relleno? How is the job hunt going?
Boy, smores, get the two of us together and people had better watch out---we're feisty!
No, they didn't care for it much...okay though, more for me :)
The job search is still on, put in several apps, still looking though
You and I are in the same boat....paddling like crazy.
Will also have to send you my chicken fettucine recipe...so good it should be illegal.
yep, ready to get through the rapids and float awhile :)
lol...I love fettucine
I think I've totally forgotten what still waters are like...so used to turbulence.
yeah, me too.
OK---I'll send the recipe to your email later. I'm taking an assessment test online for this job and then I'll send it.
*cartwheels* I found the 8.
Yay, Judi!
wouldn't want to float too long though :) I'd probably get bored
congrats judi
woohoo Judi :)
I'd welcome boredom now.
:)
Had to get my ex to pay my rent yesterday....don't have sex to hold over his head anymore but guess I can still get him into guilt. After all, he technically owes me $55,000 but likes to forget that.
wow...glad he "remembers" enough to take care of the rent when you need it
But not before making me beg and making me feel really small....guess I know where the kids get the cruel aspect of their natures.......
:(
I have a great neighbor who said something I just loved. When I said I'd think someone was a bad parent if the kids treated her this way, she said "Not necessarily at all. Serial killers often had good parents." Love that!
Well, do what you have to do, but don't allow anyone to make you feel that way.
Very true, Mimi we only have so much influence
I'm so lucky to have a really good internal support system. I truly am my best friend. It's like being two different people. Hey, it's comforting being schizophrenic---you're always entertained and never alone!
Then they do what they will
LOL
And, of course, wonderful and supportive friends....they are truly the family we CHOOSE, right?!
:) definately
you reminded me also of a favorite quote; "Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused."
Great one!! Hey, I almost forgot the demotivator for today!
Bring it!
lol...just glanced at grid...haven't entered a word in 10mins. :)
Picture: Two shaking hands. Caption: Consulting. Text: If you're not a part of the solution there's good money to be made in prolonging the problem.
LOL...
I've taking up too much of your time, smores! Need to scoot anyway. Back later to attempt more finds. Bye all and hugs all around! Sorry I hogged the chog! (Poet and don't know it.)
LOL...np Mimi, I always enjoy our chats
Always makes my day, dear.
Have a wonderful day dear {hugs and prayers}

TY haz. how have you been, m'dear?
I'm sorry Eva, I misread and gave you 2nd column A's
I'm fine again after a nasty cold over Christmas. Are you still dressing up?
dressing up? you mean my style blog? still getting dressed every day, but not currently taking photos, no. got too lazy...though considering starting up again..
Yes, the style blog was what I was wondering about. You should start up again, see how your style has develped in the meantime.
it ssomething ive had to think a lot about over the last few months...after having lost so much weight, ive had to replace just about everything, so ive tried to be very conscious and deliberate about my style these days...
I knew you wanted to lose weight, so congratulations on that!
Hi Haz, Eva, smores
Hello, bichon.
thankyou! im in maintenance mode now, so thats a whole new learning curve. but ive lost about 70 pounds!
That's an amazing weight loss! Well done, I'm sure you're proud of yourself.
70lbs. that should happen to me
yeah. i try not to toot my own horn too much, but toot-toot. ;)
It's a great achievement.
You deserve it Eva
wow...just popped back , WTG Eva!! that is wonderful :)
I wish I could stay to chat but I'm on my way out to sit with a friend whose elderly aunt is very ill. Hopefully I'll catch up with you sometime again and you can tell me your secrets.
thanks all. i worked really hard at it. ive sorta taken the last month or so off, so i know ive gained some weight back, but it was a year + a half of being really diligent. im gearing myself up to get back on track and figure out this maintenance thing so that it feels more natural.
Hi Bichon :)
farewell, haz. til next time!
See you again, EvaN and bye bichon and smores.
Toodle-oo!
bye Haz
Bye Haz...enjoy your day :)
Diligent for a year and half, well done, you deserved to take a month or so off, especially with the holidays :)
I'm sure you will figure it out
finally past the 1/2way mark, only 4 P's left, time for a break
Enjoy the day everyone :)
holy cow. i just went to upload some before/after shots to my flickr account, and i just now saw that, 6 months ago, my ex left comments on a few of my photos! creepy much??
creepy is right
out of all the photos, he only left comments on ones that were either me in my wedding dress or me with my husband.

heh, yeah. still rockin the blond. :)
i am in hair crisis, but that is normal in winter time. if short, want long; iflong, want short; etc etc etc :)
i change my hair up a lot. its even shorter now than in that photo, if you can believe it... pretty soon, im going to HAVE to grow it if i want a change...heh
lol (heads off to pb*

"can TO come out of pb and play?"
:)
Eva...just checked out your pics, wow. As Billy Crystal would say "You Look Marvelous" :)
lol...messed up and spelled it right :)
TY smores. :)
:)
phantom; asshat
i hate this grid.
Good day to all. Lunch break now. I'll dive in anyway, Owl.
Hi TO :)
Hey Scrabbler :)
hi scrabs hi smores
It is a little rough for sure
down to 47
wooHoo TO
i see all so4/4s of useless words, real and imagined: an egyptian god; a chart type; a musical instrument; the rye fungus
alll in a desparate attempt to finihs. i think 6 letter words are the hardest for me
My eyes tend to stop at 4 letters.
desperate. sorry
scrabs do you like my doggie photobomb?
Haha.
i really need to do some work, gave myself an ultimatum to do an hour today and another tonight. this house is disastrous re unfiled papers.
I attacked a bedroom on Monday afternoon and am so pleased with myself. I must declutter and clean.
and i as well. declutter and file.
now that my neighbor has graciously offered me the use of his trash hauler, instead of the evil waste mgmt empire, i can actually throw out more than one item at a time.
Nice!
TO, just saw the headliners for the New Orleans Jazz Fest. That is going to be one hell of a show.
oh - i remembered - that vegan cake i made was pretty good and certainly easy! no butter no eggs
oooh, molly... when is it?
It's seven days and spans two weekends. April 26 to May 5.
just scanned it and i have seen lots of them. working aaron neville noon concert tomorrow, another sold out show.
they have certainly moved well beyond jazz, haven't they? Molly, whered' you go?
okay 75 left...be back tonight...enjoy the day all :)
sherpa, sherpa, sherpa. that is all.
*Puts cool cloth on GE's forehead*
Thank you Molly. I'm better now.
stats on the 8?
pa8/55
ty,
cant find it - LOL
pa8 -- made fun of in jest or ironically
ty seain
:)
a twisty one, which makes it harder to find
Thanks, Dcseain..took me a while but got it.
Hello. Is the 5th letter d? Simply can't work the pa8 out.
yes
it's a past tense
Still at a lost. 4th letter?
A pa6 is a spoof on politics, literature or theater. The pa8 is the past tense of that word.
Wow. Thx. A struggle!
Dear Abby, gone to the big show. She was 94.
rest well, dear abby.
ive got the pa 8 but cannot get the pa 6 !
me neither PT
let know if you figure it out , hego
is that the pa & Jason and the A***naut*
I will.
yes
ty Lynn
yw
yes, ty I thought it was like the pa7
me too
that is a new one for me.
STILL STUCK ON A PA 7/36... have one
You have the castle one that ends in what a dog or cat is?
thanks lynnx
wow ty Lyn, very twisty.
yw
I have the castle one, what's the other then?
same start and end with types of soldiesr - comman***
I have finished the p's!!!!!!
Yay for PPPPoodle
YAY!! PT
Ahh,thanks lynxxx!
Lyn has delveloped a stammer.
must have been all those Ps
lol probably
is that your dog, lynxxx?
hi lyn, pt, firefly, hego
'hi bichon
Hiya Bichon
No, a fiends. She died and I had the portrait done by a girl on Etsy as a present for her. She was very attached.
'that was nice of you
It was a lovely picture..I keep meaning to get Stew done.
i guess stew is your dog?
Yes - Stewart - a greyhound.
cool dogs
A bit different in attitude to other dogs, bond very well but aren't there to please their owners if you know what I mean. And very lazy, sleep most of the day
they think that is better than chasing mechnical rabbits as fast as they can.
do they race greyhounds in austrailia?
Yes. I understand our rehoming ex-racers is one of the biggest in the world too
my daughter and family have one. lazy his his middle name. but he is called dwayne.....
Dwayne - how cute
dwayne is on a special dog food because of kidney and bladder infections.......... bag cost about 75.oo
wow
i know........... :)
hodie
oops
Just saw on Wikipedia that they seem to be gradually stooping greyhound racing in the US
that would be good. poor doggies
they do love to run/chase though (the instinct is very strong) but I don't think I would ever go to a race. I would love to go to a coursing event though (outside in fields)
with casinos and other forms of gambling, dog races are not as popular anymore.
It is great fun to see dogs running full out and having fun. WE have dog parks where they can do that - you probably do too
yes we do, however, I don't think Dwayne would come back............
mine likes to run full bore up and down the stairs in the house
WE have dog parks too...but by law here we cannot let greyhounds off lead unless in private property
probably hard to tire out a greyhound!
same daughter had a mini greyhound........... named Chance. I loved that dog.........
but he was a biter......
actually no...they are sprinters not runners...they are only good for a half hour walk, then they need to lay down for 2 hours
a dog after my own heart!
lol, me too
wish I could have a pet, but none allowed in my condo bldg.
you could tell them the dog was a helper dog
true.......... but going out in the middle of the night when it's very cold out........ well those dogs freeze to death.
'those tiny littel greyhounds seem so fragile
they are....... but affectionate. :)
are you talking about italian greyhounds or whippets?
my Lily is a 60 pound bulldozer
italian greys.
big dog..........
of course, I am an animal lover......
smallest dog we have had in 25 years
very cute - but way too much energy for me. I worry about dogs whose eyes look as though they could pop out too
boart
'darn, again
Hello all, been a rough week, going to babble with hopes of actually finishing one this week...
Hi Jilly
hi Jilly, enjoy - though its a tough one
It's always good to be optimistic. : )

A satirical imitation past time

Many thanks - got it.
I'm back :)
{{smores}} Just finished the test for that job---took nearly 3 hours!! Just checking in quickly...gotta go regroup. Will send you fettucine recipe tomorrow.
;P thanks for the warning smores!
Hey Mimi {hugs}
♪♪If we knew you were comin', woulda baked a cake♪♪
((Jilly))
lol...and hmpf to you Jilly
Jilly's feelin' feisty today!
today? lol
Did I mention I have a cat named Jillian that I call Jilly or Jilly Bean?
<----totally exhausted *warning-not responsible for what I say*
lol...
She just decided after having her for 3 years (since she was a baby) that she likes me!
I have a rule---I'll take responsibility but not blame...
Jillyjill was the nick name my wonderful dearly departed father-in-law gave me....it indicated he had accepted me as his daughter...
awww....that is so sweet Jilly :)
That and when he asked me if my hubby was good to me...he was a wonderful man and gone way too soon
I had a wonderful mother-in-law. I was the only daughter-in-law (she had 5) that she sent daughter cards to instead of the in-law part....loved her and miss her...gone about 7 years now.
I was very blest to have had a great father and father in law...two wonderful dads!
:)
My MIL is also wonderful! Lucky gal!
Father-in-law still alive and kicking, though----way too mean to die---God doesn't want him.
ouch
I don't say something like that easily, either, but he really deserves it.
There are definitly some that earn their titles...
I figure I'll live a long time because God doesn't want me up there criticizing how he's doing things...."Just leave her down there...don't need the grief!"
really?!?!? :)
I fear that some say that about me as well.
You see, I do believe God makes mistakes and I can prove it with just one word....fleas.
lol..
I mean, they serve no real purpose, not even to feed other things like mosquito larvae do...just a mistake.
spiders
spiders
I'm sure He had His reason :)
lol..had to say it twice heh?
Spiders have a purpose, though. No, smores, just a mistake....but I figure He's entitled to a few.
My ex and my oldest daughter are both terrified of spiders
I need a newer router with the win8, but not ready to tackle it yet, so get 'stuck' and have to reconnect. LOL learning curve
Considering hot flashes and all we go through in that department, I'm convinced God is NOT a woman.
And that whole pregnancy/birth thing too
no He is not
And he hates his mother........oooh, is lightning going to strike me?!!
*ducks*
lol
I figure if we're made in His image, then he must have a rockin' sense of humor or we wouln't, so He's laughing, too!
yes He definately has a sense of humor :)
We're all proof of that!
Of course, some of us more than others.....
It is said that the duck billled platypus is proof God has a sense of humor...
lol......true
Several of my exes are, too.......
teehee...so is my ex
lol.....I'm sure we were typing that at the same time :)
and with that quip and 113 words in, I must *poof* for awhile...nice chatting with you mimi and smores!
Great minds think alike!
Bye for now Jilly :)
Sorry to see you go, Jilly. ((hug))
might be nap time...LOL...*poof*
Smores, when you come to visit, we'll have to hit one of the bars and trade stories....oh, the time we'll have!
lol...
I'm going, too....just realized I haven't eaten today and am peckish....later. Fettucine recipe tomorrow in email, smores!

Hello all. :-)
Hi Soodle
Hey (((Molly)))). How is January treating you?
Not bad. : )
Hi folks
Hey Bich. :-).
Soodle, I sent you an email. I need to pick your brain about something.
Hi Bich.
Soodle-shuffle off to email......,. BBL
got about 15min before dinner :)
Hello!
hey kyle :)
Hi smores! How are you?
doing well thanks
gotta go, dinners ready :)
OMG!! Why were you all not chattering amongst yourselves in my absence? I feel like a school Marm who warned the class to be quiet.....,
(((((((SOODLE)))))))))
How are you hon?
<-- frustrated. got another invitation to the inauguration .. this time on embossed paper... so im now invited to 3 events and have tickets but there all non transferrable UGH
Just starting and am sitting amidst gray, fog, cold, still. I am in the winter of my discontent. Not a cheery place. Oh well. Moving right along. Crabbiness does not become me. Hello to gapeach who probably is building snow bunnies and soodle, who probably is avoiding fast food hamburgers (or horseburgers.)
they're, not there
First time I've seen Chinese temples as words on the grid.
Gape(((((()))))) . You were just on my mind!!!! How good to see you.
No snow yet, stidgmere. We are having strange weather.....79 the other day and dropping today.
You too, Soodle. Did you get the Christmas card?
Hello all, back again...
Oh Cos, what an crappy situation...are you sure you cannot $$ the trip?
But then, how COOL to get 3! You'd better at least frame them!
I did indeed Carol. Thank you so much.
Hey there soodle, GA and stidg!
ryans gonna cvall his mom tonight .. but yeah im framing them all! :)
Jeepers Cos, eBay!!!!!
Hi jilly. There was an inagural ball for the governor here in the great Northwest last night. Younger grandson was in one of the musical performing groups.
non-transferrable, soodle
Hey Jilly. :-)
*Still consulting gown designers for my dress to wear to Cos's Inauguration Ball*
Hey there, Jillyjill.
33 years ago my dress went to the Governors Ball here...but I wasn't in it :(
hi molly!
Hi there Molly!
and Jilly.
*crossing fingers for magical $$ to appear for Cosdem*
Whatever, Cos. I'll bet somebody will pay for the piece of history that you won't be using....
But I want to save it for my nephews and nieces so I can give them a heirloom when I pass on :)
<---shudders at the thought of a Cosdem-less world
Oh that wont be for another 70 or so years.
I can picture Cos, resplendent in top hat, white tie & tails. Molly on his arm, giving Scarlett O Hara a run for her money. And me, across the Atlantic, sighing in a maternal fashion, murmurring 'They grow up so quickly'....
ROFL....great vision soodle
with fireworks in the air of course
Can't you just see then, Jilly?? Complete with fireworks, of course, Cos!
Beginnings are always so promising. Nice to be in on the ground floor of newly elected folks before all heck breaks loose. And all of us little people scrambling on the floor picking up the leavings to take home to the threadbare younguns.
sadly true stidg
is the ge5/6 a combo...and any clues
Yes, ends like what you say before siss boom bah
Just submitted my resignation as precinct captain :( But at least I still serve on the 5th Congressional District Vacancy Committee.
<--lightbulb!
ty molly
Hey Cos, any word on that job at the school for the deaf?

Ouch...pb time...here I come cabana boys
Blanche: Im ab5red. Sophia: We all know what you are. Im glad to hear you admit it

Hi!
Love the panda smores - and what it says!
well, nbt wasn't too hard...

ty
Thanks Liz :)
hi everyone :)
:)
hi nan!
I have 109 to go and still don't have NBT...missing upper A in second to last column
hey everyone. 163 left so diving into the grid but will watch for clues............. hint hint hint
Nvm, got one for there lol
hi bugs!
YAY firefly...I was trying to figure out which word came from there :)
Bugsaw, hello. Must ask about your screen name origin?
Haha smores, you have been reprieved
:)
sure firefly. When I was a baby my next door neighbour was being foolish and said to me, "Hello little girl. What is your name?"
Even at 18 months old I figured a silly question deserved a silly answer and told him, Bugsaw.
Has been a family name ever since.
LOL
Love it :)
Roflmao, love it!
Hi uusue. I have been checking and things are still looking good for you two.
do6 pls
I just assumed that Firefly meant you had a strong inner light and judging from your icon story, you do. Well done!!
yes, we are doing pretty well, all things considered, bugs
nm
lol....peri
a clue please peri?
listening orb of a canine
That's a wonderful thing to say Bugsaw, but it's just that I've never seen the little insects before and would like to some day. The numbers are my month and year of birth.
compound word do6
thanks peri!
ty peri
ty peri
you are all welcome :)
I have never seen them either. Good wishes for your dream to come true.
fireflies are really neat
they are a lot of fun - we called them lightning bugs when I was little, and I used to catch them in jars - they never survived the night, though
many fond memories catching fireflies :)
I would've loved them as a child, collecting them or just staring out at the night watching them blink. I lived in California as a kid and collected toads and frogs instead...
oh and uu...youre suppose to let them out before you go to bed :)
I was just in trouble for what I brought into the house. The worst was when I found some robin's eggs that had fallen from a nest so I put them under my pillow to replicate the mother.
I used to watch them blink as I went to sleep - I tried to put what I thought of as lightning bug food in the jar (grass and sticks) and put holes in the top, but no luck
My mom saw them as a kid and collected them, and I'd like to try that just once. I collected a cricket once but had to let it go because it chirped so,
lol, bugs!
Loudly.
Of course by bedtime I had forgotten they were there and slept on them. My mother was right POed when she went to make the bed and found that mess.
lol...I'm listening to crickets right now
Oh no bugsaw, did you mash them?
oh no bugsaw...lol
I love the sound of crickets and frogs
totally mashed them
crickets sound like summer to me
me too...but sometimes it's annoying :)
I cried for them instead of my spanking
although when I moved to Oklahoma (in 1982) I was looking at houses to buy - one of them was way out of town, and the crickets were so loud that the real estate agent and I had to shout to hear each other
smoresette has a leopard gecko...so we have crickets
Yep, I love frogs croaking and crickets chirping, but at a distance, not sitting in a jar next to my bed lol
Awww Bugsaw
ah, that makes sense, smores, pretty cold for crickets outside right now
that is too much uusue
I did not buy that house :-)
:)
Anyone hear cicadas? I hear they are LOUD
there is one being very noisy right now...he is about to be food
ugh, we had a giant outbreak of cicadas when I was 10, you couldn't even walk without stepping on them - they were EVERYWHERE
yes, they are VERY loud
Ewww! I can't step on crunchy bugs, makes me want to gag
not me. how far south do you have to be to find cicadas?
wa7pls
Really, I just can't step on bugs at all
I had a cat that used to eat them...and of course the girls would collect the shells stuck on the trees
I'm in Indiana Bugsaw
I remember I was in Nashvile in 1998 during the spring. Cicadas were everywhere. Covered from one end to the other end of town. on streets, sidewalks, all over. so disgusting
Blech, don't like hearing cats eating crunchy bugs either lol
no idea peri, sorry
are cicadas like crickets?
me either peri, sorry
<-----looking...
what you use in the tub wa7
thanks peri!
Wa7 is compound
compound word
they are also called tree crickets
:) thanks peri, that was my last w and my last 7
ok
but with crunchy shell when you walk it feels like walking on leaves in the fall
I have a large dog's head on my keyboard
they are a locust
a locust?
ok, I managed to distract the dog, whew! that made it very hard to type
lol...uu...is he helping?
Really smores? I knew some varieties only hatch en masse every 17 years...
th5 pls
Not sure which but there is one called a 17 year locust which is actually a cicada.
Guess there are different types and I don't believe cicadas do damage like locust
they are all crunchy bugs that make a lot of noise :)
lol...yep
;)
ned a break, 25 left
good work, peri!
th5 Norse God with the hammer + your initial
wtg peri :)
Dang smores, I swear I tried that one, but apparently I just thought it. Hopefully peri sees your clue!
