jilli is right. eeyore was may favorite character in the Pooh stories.
nice
dear old eeyore.
My favorite story is eeyore losing, then getting, his tail. second favorite is the heffalumps. I read that book until the spine gave way. read it to my kids, too.
any clues around for sa6/21?
just got it jilli - you'd know if it ended with monias
or is that monious
I read all the Pooh books and the verses over and over and to my son and other kids and I still have all of them and still enjoy them. So did my late hubby.

Morning all - back again for a bit - got broken ribs to contend with today so I could be sat at my pc for quite a while. its the only seat i can adjust tomake standing up easy
exed
Morning Kazzer, how'd you get the broken ribs?
hello all - oh dear kazzer what happened ?
morning ursh
hi glant
it was really stupid - i was leaving my mums's and she has quite a high step out of the house - some how as i fell i managed to twist thru 90 degrees and landed with a whump acroos the end of my mums front door step which is made of concrete and caught my ribs just below my boobs - went hospital - didnt even xray as treatment is the same for bruised - cracked or broken - painkillers and deep breathing exercises - got to do some of them soon
also my right knee is killing me this morning
ouch, hope it stops hurting soon
so do I - I had sooo much planned for today - gardening gym and dog walking!
very ouchy kazzer - and all sorts of other bumps will show themselves today
if the pain is bad and they didn't give you extra strength painkillers you know you can laternate paracetamol nd ibuprofen at 2 hour intervals?
thats what hubby said - prob find i wont be able to move tomorrow
fa ta
are you done, bremen?
please could i have a clue for any of the 8s or 9s
jenny - one can sn6/24 victory from the jaws of defeat - then two 8's and a 9
sn 6, 8, 8, 9 combo
thankyou
morning all :)
good morning Sprite
hiya pug :)
how are you today?
Im great! How about yourself?
am good :) An almost free day ahead, looking forward to do it all in a relaxed way today.
Thats nice--Hope its as you wish it to be
we will see... no guarantees in a life with 2 teenager children, right? But they are a blessing too.
Ive got friends camping at our small campgrounds for the week-end---so we plan on eating outside---Plus I got my great nephew staying as well--Hes going home sometime today
oh that sounds good :)
Its nice---But Iam really worried about my nephew(hes 7). He has to spend half his summer with his mom and hes been crying for the 2 days Ive had him so far not wanting to go there. Its sad a little boy dont want to be with his mom and I dont know what to do to help him
oh dear... that IS sad. Could it be he is crying because the whole situation is confusing for him? Going to his mother meaning he has to leave his dad, and the other way around?
His mother(which is my neice) I hate to say is not the best mother. She has 3 boys each by a different man. Gradyn(the 7 year old) is the oldest. And he likes to see her but not stay with her. He got in my lap last night and crying says "nanny I dont think I can take a month staying at mommy's) Its the court thats set these rules. I just dont know what to tell him to ease his stress over the mess
It breaks my heart---I dont think a little boy should feel like that towards a parent
that is heartrending.
maybe you can give him a simple mobile and tell him he can call you whenever he needs you? So at least he won't feel alone in this?
This neice and I were very close at one time. After she had Gradyn at age 16 she just completely changed. The men were number 1 . Then the kids. I had to go to court for Gradyn's father to help him get the boy. It was awful having to do that against my neice. But the boy had no one to stand up for him and I felt I had to do what was right
he is lucky to have you, pug.
now she dosent want anything to do with me.I just felt I didnt have a choice here. He was going to start school and in 5 years he never had his own bed until he went to his dads
he never had his own bed? Then where did he sleep??
Im sorry Sprite to be putting a damper on your day. Iam just upset about the little guy
either with her and her fellows or couch or floor
hey I can feel how you worry. You are not putting a damper on my day, and I am here for you. We babblers do, you know.
omg that is so wrong. You had to step in there, you really didn't have a choice. Sorry your niece feels you betrayed her, but you really had to speak up for the boy.
Thank you and Im so thankful and glad for this
wish I could do something to help. I have been in the little guy's position, more or less. What I am thinking about now is how to make that month bearable for him.
I prayed about that long before we went to court and I just told the truth about the whole matter. He just left 1st grade friday with several awards and he made all A's--Iam not sorry about doing what I had too
yeah me too. She wont let any of have anything to do with him as long as she has him.Wont let him talk to his dad--But I told him if it gets too bad to go to my sister and she will call his dad
some ideas: make a calendar with him for crossing off the days? That mobile could be a lifeline for him? Tell him you take his concerns very seriously, that you can't change what the court decided but that you are there for him, that he can talk freely to you etc?
jeezz his mother is really hurting him to spite you all... what a sad thing. So wrong to isolate him. Small wonder he feels he can't do this. He needs some sort of supporting contact while he is with her.
Once he is 12 he dosent have to go to her.He asked me friday why he cant say no at 7. He wont talk much about what goes on staying with her. But it cant be very good if he is so stress about having to go
I can see how he might be pushed to doing something terrible to get out of the mess. Going to my sisters for help while there is all I know to tell him.She lives about 2 blocks from her
can you encourage him to tell you? If it is bad, might it be possible to reapply to the court to change their decision? Protecting the children should be their first goal, I'd say. From 7 to 12 is way too long for a boy his age.
that is wonderful. That is at least a lifeline.
and I can't help wondering what makes his mother the way she is. Sounds like such low self esteem :(
the only thing he has repeated is that his younger brother is mean to him and mommy lets him but gets mad at him if he stands up for himself. I got to think theres much more than that for him to hate going so bad
am with you there. Top of the iceberg, probably, what he says about it.
Sprite, My neice was raised up in the church and she is a beautiful girl with an ugly attitude and it started after she went into her teenage years
the whole mess is a such a long story---Gradyn has been through so much--its just so sad
how awful, puglet :( Must be hard to watch her hurting herself and her children.
I think the court should lissen more to the childern
amen to that
Thank You Sprite for letting me shake out this dirty laundry--lol
am still thinking about either a mobile, but that would be hard to hide, or a beeper maybe? Anything that will give him the feeling someone is with him?
Puglet, he is very lucky to have you, someone who cares so much for him and is willing to fight for him
I will bring that up to his dad
puglet, no problem at all, I feel honored you share it with me. Wish I could help more.
hi Lindrick, indeed
Thank you Lin--It was hard for me to testifie against my neice
Hi guys, sometimes in life we have to do things that we don't want to in order to help someone needy
sometimes doing whats right isnt always to easiest way
very true
so true Lin
often it isn't. But in our hearts we usually know we are doing the right thing.
hello?
Hi Ruby
hello ruby
Morning Ruby
how was your outing yestersay
hah, it's the right hour! {{big hug for sprite, little pug and lindrick}}
*hug* for ruby too
big hug to you too
(0:
What a story, pug, but mybe the court wil listen if you have more info. It doesn't sound like Gravyn should ever have to share a bed wityh his mother or with her boyfriends!
Well off to start my day, hugs to all xx
It is Lucky that your sister is nearby
bye Lin have a wonderful day
Gradyn, sorry my typing is awful because my hands are so cold (poor excuse)
bye lin
bye Lin
She has been to court several times over her kids
Sprite, is it still so cold there? I don't think it's been above 8C in days and is around 6 at night. At least it isn't raining -- yet!
that alone should tell the judge something, sigh
that's 50F and 40F, puglet
well you would think so--but it must not
yes! Very cold. I am sitting here in my winterclothes with a warm comforter around me
Yesterday's lunch, without nasty husband, went very well as I ran into a neighbor en route, and invited her to join me, so I didn't have to eat alone. I let Burt stew on his own.....
its pretty cool here too for this time of the year(its in the high 40's)
one thing is certain, pug, it makes all the difference that you are there for him. I can speak from experience. Knowing someone is in your corner is so very important!
Good for you Ruby! Glad it worked out so well for you
Thank you Sprite--not much you can do when the court is there to fight too
glad you had a good time, ruby
it was better than eating alone, that's for sure
*hugs pug*
Thanks!Sprite
You havent messed with the fire yet have you Ruby? lol
that is a very bad story, pug, but, as Wise Sprite said, it is great that you re there. Maybe if Graadyn has a phone that vibrates rather than rings.....
I know there are thousands of poor kids out there with the same story or worse and its a darn shame our world has to be as such
*giggles at wise sprite* Not so wise, but I do really care for my babble friends. And I feel bad for Gradyn.
wuick 46 but back after lunch
hugs and *woof*
bye Ruby
bye ruby, have a good one
and FR dog is in here lol
yeah but not valid :(
Is it winter where you are Sprite
no it isn't... it should be well into Spring!
the weather is really off here. It kept freezing well into april, and now it is May, almost June, and we should be able to eat outdoors, sit in the sun, the whole enchilada. But no joy.
we should be warmer too. One day its in the 80 and 90's then it drops down to 40's and 50's
and still they tell us the world is heating up.
Morning Again! Hubby spoilt me to breakfast at the Farm Shop just as my babble went wrong - couldnt add any words. I have now had a pain killer so i can breathe
the last 2 years we had droughts now this year its wet and cold
hi Kazz, happy to see you. Breakfast sounds good! But sorry to hear you have so much pain.
my own stupid fault - should look where i put my feet!
Morning Kazz--hope you start feeling better soon too
nah, don't be silly, not your fault. We are not expected to be perfect and things go wrong sometimes. Don't blame yourself.
brb need a refill on coffee
thanks Pug - just been reading about your nephew - such a shame - is there anyway you could give a cheap cell phone so he can stay in touch whilst he's away?
well if i hadnt decided it was a good idea to lift both feet of the ground at the same time and then get one stuck on the door way i wouldnt have the busted ribs and bad knee!!
love it how we all come to the same conclusion... that boy needs a way to communicate with you during his stay. I hope his father and you can come up with something that will work.
hehehe Kazz, yeah. But it could have ended a lot better, or worse. Shit happens. Apparently it was your turn to have a bit of bad luck :(
but it is typical - I was just about to start a class in the gym - stretch and tone and i have actually paid for it! but never mind - I will speak with the lovely Claire and she will let me know when i can actually start
wow good intentions! And you didn't give them up when things didn't go your way. *salutes Kazzer*
shant give up just delay slightly
:)
sorry--had to heat water up for my coffee
np, as long as you brought us all a cuppa ;)
sure did! lol
:D
to answer you about the phone -- I know his dad would send one with him but she would just take it away from him.And Gradyn is afraid of her I hate to say.
there we are again... after the hiccup :)
the hiccup ate my other post. I feel so sad about your Gradyn, puglet. I hope you and his dad can come up with something, anything, that might work. A preprogrammed cell phone in a stuffed animal maybe.
fireflies here, and I have to go. *hugs* to you all and prayers for Gradyn.
bye sprite and thanks
lost my server ss
got to run myself--hope e1 has a great day

eekk...so sorry
its ok - just got to remember its there - cos its v easy to get in a really comfy position and then not being able to move out of it comfortably
yes..I remember..the coughing though, from my experience, is the worst

I don't want to think about that breeding process! I Wonder which one was the female because female chows are notoriously nasty when they're being bred
even ice ones have to be muzzled or they'd hurt their paramours
{{loy}}

well, they were a product of "free love" so no muzzles involved LOL
they were so adorable -- like teddy bears!
hahahah

i had a chow mix puppy/dog... smartest puppy ever
aawww
that is surprising, kje. As much as I love chow chows, they would fail most "dog IQ" tests
Hello, everyone! Hey, I just found a recipe for a baked version of a bloomin' onion---like at the Outback restaurants. Going to try it SOON. If anyone wants it, em me at catjdesigns@yahoo.com and will happily send. Looks pretty easy.
good morning everyone:))
I think the "mix" may be the key to the IQ there, ruby.
((crossy))
there i a test where you put a treat Under a napkin, having shown both to the dog first. All my chows have failed it, much to my falling-down laughter
((mimi))
she was house trained in a few days, and could learn things like heeling, fetching, rolling over in a matter of a couple tries... very smart
((ruby))
{{crossy}}
You'd think they'd be able to at least smell the treat, ruby!
they have all been housebroken on the first day
maybe they're just marching to a different drum
they know it's there, just do their own thing!
in contrast tp the lab I had who it took weeks to house train.... ugh
You call one and he looks around and says "you calling me?"
except for Ms. Moose-dog Raffie (|35 lbs at 4 1/2 months) who comes when I call
35*, not 131!
I'd probably fail the test, too
My German shepherd was the best dog I can imagine and incredibly smart...a 100-lb. lap dog. When I came home from the hospital after nearly dying many years ago and had to be careful going up stairs, she just immediately walked up the stairs with me, pacing herself along with me. I had one hand on the bannister and one on her back. From that day on she never let me go up the stairs alone, even when I easily could. Miss her like crazy and it has been 8 years since she passed.
LOLOL -- my eyes were bugging at 135 lbs!
aw, mimi, what a sweetheart . . .
Raffie can probably type better than I
shepherd are very smart
Yes, Une...she was my fourth child. She got lymphoma at age 7...should have had her many more years. Miss her every day.
That is a touching story, mimi! When I was recovering from cancer surgery, my first chow, Rosie, took care of me and wouldn't let anybody come close when I (necessarily) walked her off the leash, she would circle me and growl
She was, as most shepherds, very protective of her home. When someone would come to the door, she would get in front of me and stare at them as if to say "Touch my mommy and I'll eat your face!" But she wasn't an aggressive dog at all under any other circumstance.
,aybe she had a hidden chow gene a s that's what th chows all do
may I havve the stats, or even a clue, for the 9
From the moment I took her home as a pup she was as perfect as a dog can get. Housebroken immediately, very quiet in temperament, loving and though I thought I was getting her for my children, she was always MY dog!
also, does anybody know if/why potatoes which have gone green are bad for you or if they can be used
fa6 7 8 9 -- 9 is past tense
ruby - info... http://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/\npotato.asp
Wow--ever since finding that bloomin' onion recipe, I'm craving it!
Ruby, I just remove the green and eat the rest.
to be riveted, focused is to be fa9
I would check the link kye sent, though, to be sure.
and you're stil alive! Yay, that means we can have dinner because all the potatoes in the pantry are green
LOL!
ty une
morning all!
I was planning on making Toulouse sausages with mashed potatoes but was a little bit worried
{{sue}}
Hi All!
I just checked out a site that said green potatoes are harmful, ruby...don't do it.
hi ruby, kje, une, hego!
and mimi!
((hego)) ((sue))
Hey Mimi!
{{hego}} haven't seen you in a long time
And Sue newlywed
and Ruby!!
Been away Ruby
down in Tuscany.
Sue, found a baked version of a bloomin' onion and am offering to send it to anyone who wants it. Just em me at catjdesigns@yahoo.com.
I may have enough non-green potatoes -- hopefully or we'll go hungry tonight
I doubt that Ruby
will do, mimi!
The word was, when we first starting hearing about not serving the green potatoes, that the green part was a risk for a pregnant women. But even if you're cooking for a whole roomful of them, peeling deep is all that's needed. Now about that clue for the nine. . .
OMG, hego...you were in Tuscany!! Always wanted to go. In fact, my dream is to do a culinary tour of Italy...start at one end and go to the other happily eating all the way!
how way Tuscany, Hego. Did you have wonderful steaks? Did you go to Siena?
I pretty much do that Mimi. lol
I did not go to Sienna this time.
I love the food there Ruby.
I don't think I' pregs, LOL LOL
It's all good.
You know that book/movie "Eat, Pray, Love?" I'd never get past the "Eat" part!
welcome back, hego! Sounds like you had a great time!
I never do either.
m<-- loves Italian food, much more than French
me too Rube
I think the best meal I ever had was at a fancy buffet lunch in Florence
like tapas squared
I don't think most Americans understand what a wide variety there is of Italian dishes...we mostly think pasta, but there is SO much more.
You can't get bad food in Florence.
You guys are making me so hungry and I basically have nothing in the house right now....poor Mimi.
and the steaks!!!!!!
Mimi, i could live on the appetizers alone.
Poor mimi. : (
I'm with you, hego....always my favorites in just about any cuisine.
Thus, the bloomin' onion craving!
we had a terrible lunch in the best local resto. Very disappointing
love those decadent things.
too bad Ruby.
Your Italian place, ruby?
The best part of this onion recipe is that it is baked instead of deep fried so the calorie count is much less.
no, a much fancier one that is only open "for the season". We took sprite there and it has always been very good. But today, Mothers' Day in France, it was awful! and expensive, to boot
the local Italian is always OK, occasionally good, occasionally bad

Hi everyone!
hi jilly
:( I am afraid I have bad news ruru.... Jane has a wedding and I completely spaced that it is graduation here...damn anyway
no problem jilly
my friends will have me running.. at least I'll see Montana
We both were looking forward to a meetup....looks like pretty good weather
maybe another time
And where you are going is where I grew up, a truly magnificent area...you will have so much fun!
And definitly! We'll make it back to the Bay Area sometime...have many friends that live there.
the progressive dinner will be fun
ahhh, is that what is planned...what a great spot.
catered.. I don't have to do anything but open wine
Rough life! ;)
..but I have to talk about them.. that's exhausting :D
I would love to learn more about wine, my knowledge consists of basic serving matches and what I like...LOL
that's really all that matters jilly is what you like
After living in the Bay Area and thus being more into wines for 30+ years, what I really dislike is the 'trending' that occurs, a wine becomes popular, and then you can't find your favs...
And talking interferes with all the drinking : )
LOL...hello there Molly! How are you today?
and ruru, to resume discussion on wine (and drinking). One of my favs is Gewürztraminer...only have one Washington vineyard that I can get it from...
unless you like talking ...
there are several nice California and French Gewurztraminers jilli
Navarro (in Mendocino) makes one of the best in California
The problem is that no stores want to carry it since it isn't 'popular'....
Joseph Swan has a nice Dry one
you can order them to ship to you..it's usually not that much
I am going to note that ruru...because I really love that wine, prefer less dry however..
oh
lemme think
Have found and bookmarked Navarro...
Fetzer makes one.. but it's pretty sweet
Fetzer makes one.. but it's pretty sweet
Poor ruru, I am making him work on a Sunday!
I can vouch for navarro... and they have 1 penny shipping several times/year, so not too bad to order online
Navarro is nice.. it's on the drier side.. but has a lot of flavor
Hi kje...
several of their wines are a little sweeter, just read the descriptions, they are accurate (I on the other hand, avoid the sweeter ones)
you might find Hugel (French) where you are too Jilly it's good.. his Reserve Personelle
...that's because you are so "sweet" already KJE :D
I am probably somewhere in-between...not too sweet, not too dry. currently use Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville WA
exactly
but if you're eating jilly.. drier is better
Hmmm, now I want a glass of wine....
one place less dry is better is with some of teh spicy asian cuisines
exactly kje
need one more to list
what is the other i? I have the bright one
how many do you have, ru?

how did you decide on 212 to list (Im at 218, btw)

Jee, thanks mimi! ;)

Molls, you were not around when I had my g&t. no one to have "cheers with
on Friday that is
Well then, have another. It's a holiday weekend.
<-- missed Molly
haha, that is right. I may or might wait until tomorrow. going to a BBQ. not sure if there will be any alcohol served tho
I am bringing a fruit salad. deciding whether to buy ready made or put together something myself.
do you have a flask, peri?
I will see what the ready made looks like first. I offered to bring something. but others are being asked to bring something whether they asked or not which i think is pretty tacky
is tacky the right word?
no I do not, ruby
I agree Peri.
when I invite people over I never ask they to bring something. if they ask I usually say no.sometimes people bring something without asking and that is ok
at least they will have veggie burgers for me and some others
I am stuck with 88 left
Nice that they are being accommodating to vegetarians.
yes, they are not usually so accomodating, I am surprised
when I invite people I always ask if there is anything they do not eat
I was prepared to bring my own veggie burger :)
It's hard to hit all the dietary needs these days.
I will never forget the time a boyfriend invited me to his house for dinner. his mother cooked a ham!! mind you I am Jewish but that did not matter. The fact that I did not eat meat and he forgot to tell her. She was pretty upset.
Gluten free, lactose free, no meat, no carbs, no nuts...
he is very hard. I try my best to be accomodating
that's very funny peri
it is very hard.... is what I meant
<---Just spit water at the typo
as long as it's not coke
LOL!
I am trying to remove my comment quickly
Oh no way. He is very hard, I try to be accommodating is the BEST TYPO EVER!!
I think peri just fainted
it was a very unfortunate typo
Too funny
I am glad that I made you all laugh.
thats ok, peri, im still laffing lollol.. i loved it
great, I was hoping most people had missed it
You should claim it.
hi ivesy
<---Still laughing with Ivesy
well, it is my mine, no matter that it was a mistake
hi ruby, hi everyone. sorry but i have a very dirty mind, i can pretty much turn any saying into obscenity lollol.
Got to bzz...back later...pfft!

I've been lurking, but since I was stealing clues and laughing at typo innuendos, I thought I should say hello...
lurking, too....glad you did not faint, peri.... ;o)
typo innuendos?
Good afternoon, all. Peri, were you being a potty mouth?
sa 6 anyone?
yes,she had a boyfriend who was hard but she tried to accomodate him (i had to read back for that)
afternoon folks
what is the third 9, I have fa and sn.
man.. I missed a good one
I guess its hard to find a good hard man :D
I too lament not seeing the heinous violation. Apparently Peri is now off saying Hail Marys in order to repent.
that or just hiding her head in shame. Or else at the market, which is actually where she said she was going , now that i think of it
no one has the sa 6?
Don't have it yet, ruru.
not me ruru
sorry no, and dnot listed yet either. do you know the stats?

Uh oh. Don't think tortoises can swim.

*Sends lifeguard after tortoise*
Ooh. That sounds yummy, Shirlockc. Must be an interesting green.
greener than it should be as it's supposed to be chocolate :) but still pretty tasty
and healthy!
Ah well, as long as it passes the taste test, the color is hardly important.
hello, I'm back
Hi, Annie!
nice and creamy, easy recipe, 4 avocados, coconut cream, sugar/flavor to taste, blend, freeze
de words should be abolished too
Hi Judi :)

i like their shelves mostly...
as for furniture i can get them cheaper and more comfy at the thrift stores :)
I can't fault Ikea, really. At least that stuff's not made in China. Shelving and light fixtures are good. The furniture is all hard as rocks - or so I've found.
a clue for last col E please?
yeah... the wall fixtures are reasonably priced so i dont mind
Es5: first part of french snails.

Good Ole Nurse Ra7

Was that from One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest?
yep!
Nurse Ra7: If Mr. McMurphy doesn't want to take his medication orally, I'm sure we can arrange that he can have it some other way.
Ha! That was on the tube just the other day. Some of Jack's finest work.
trivia: louise fletcher's parents were deaf and she gave part of her acceptance speech at the oscars in ASL!
there are clips on youtube. pretty cool to see.
Hey, Molls - we gotta get together and watch some movies. We like the same stuff.
Oh now I'm getting all misty thinking of that scene in Mr. Holland's Opus where he sings and signs Lennon's Beautiful Boy.
i didnt like that movie... im not sure why.. its not that popular in the deaf community actually..
i do like richard dreyfuss though.
woo hoo nbt/nbs
Probably because for the majority of the movie, Mr. Holland was pretty cranky about having a deaf son.
I must be spelling the nurses's name wrong, the ra7
oh its not a word peri.. ra5 is though and theres a ra7 related but the nurse isnt a word
No Peri, sorry, it's not a word. But part of it is, that is why I used ra7
ok, you are trying to confuse me and it worked
<---Goes to sit in the corner...again
its been years since i saw opus.. ill try it again.. im finding i like a lot of movies now that i didnt back then
ok, got the ra7
I am missing an 8
Not too many movies about deaf people. Although, Children of a Lesser God was good.
de8x3 all builds off de6/27
and one of the 9's. I have fa9 and sn9.
the 8's I have are: de8x3, fa,snx2 and trx2.
COALG was good. Marlee Matlin and I went to the same high school and had the same deaf ed teachers (not same time) -- she and i have the same friends in chicago so i see her every now and then..

*wonders what the hell everyone is talking about*
judi...if you have the tr 7 just before the tr 9, just add a consonant and the sometimes vowel...
It's a song about a guy who wakes up with a hangover to find his penis missing. A search ensues. : D
Don't have the tr7. Is that throat related too?
I'd swear off drinking if that were to happen to me
Oops. Just wrangled it.

I think that is true in the whole US Dr 1965
my son is going to take German next year in High School ]
bfn car,i hope you warm up quickly
bye Car-
bye Car
Schools have had their budgets cut back and don't teach many of the less common languages.
Manadarin is overtaking French
2 down, 1 to go Molls!! (In other words, one less disapproving offspring I have to answer to) Lol
Interesting - we have 1 Mandarin school here in San Diefo
lol San Diego
They learn to miss you after some time Soodle. Especially your cooking.
Ah, what do they know, Soodle.
my daughter wanted to do mandarin, but there weren't enough kids that wanted to do it, so it was a lunch time lesson instead and didn't last long
so is she just going for a couple of months soodle?with friends?
She's got a job sith Olympic Holidays as a courier for the Summer. When that finishes, she's heading off to the Gulf, as a Science teacher.
To Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, the youngest is facing into her final High School (secondary school) exams. its all systems go in this house! WE
Well done Zooz. :-)
Oh, L already said that. See, we are sharing a brain today.
howdy again my friends:)).back to try and snag the second half of this grid..i hope:))
year 11 soodle?
Great minds etc......
Hi Crossy
i thought it was deja vu molly. we certainly seem to be :0
howdy,hego
hi crossy
Dunno Lil. she did 8 years in Primary, and 6 in Secondary.....
what age does primary start?
howdy,lillian
It must be weird for younger Daughter of Soodle to be facing some "only child" time.
Primary starts at age 5
ah...
oh ok.mine did 6 in primary and is in 2nd year in high school, so year 8
In typical Irish Mammy fashion, she has been spoilt! Mae culpa.....
our's is 4/5 and when they first start it is called reception class and then 1-6 , so 7 years
Well now she gets your undivided attention. Probably at an age when she wants it the least. Whee!
We all spoil them Soodle.
that's the problem hego, too much sometimes
Going back to prehistoric times..... I started school the day I turned 4! My birthday is Sept 4th, and I was unceremoniously enrolled that day!
It goes by so fast Lill, it's good to enjoy them while you can.
<---October birthday. Always one of the youngest in my class.
now, you wouldn't be accepted at 4 with your birth date as the cutting off period is august the 31'st.the bairn's birthday is october and she was 5, i was 4
me too. sept. also.
<-------firmly believes you cannot spoil a child!
I agree soodle.
it certainly does hego.the thing is, they seem to grow up alot faster than we did
that's true.
i agree that you can never spoil them enough with love but with shop bought things we can.
now that i'm with the bairn all the time as her dad works away she wants my time constantly which isn't good for her or me.wee both need our own time but if i don't give my time to her when she wants it, she throws her" toys out the pram".
How old is he?
she
and if i want some 1:1 time with her...god forbid!
Well, (hoping I'm not tempting fate, and clutching the nearest piece of wood) I got the three of them to the age of majority without anybody getting pregnant or addicted to drugs or arrested.
13 and a half
*Sends an email to Soodle kids: It worked! She bought it!*
good for you soodle, i hope i can do the same and i'm hugging onto every wooden door in the house :)
Don't worry Lill, soon she won't want to know you.
Lol Lilli
good work Soodle.
first de 7/36 ?
Hego, tell us about your holiday......
the hubby and I had a quiet time in a nice town outside of Florence.
We did take the train in twice.
thanks hego, actually there are alot of times like that now..lol
We also went to Lucca.
did you just stay in the one place hego?
The food, Hego, describe the food! And the wine.....
Mostly we like to drive around the country and visit the little towns.
de,cons and opposite of being able to do something s'mom
We stayed in one place, Lill, I prefer that. And the food was grand!!
<----- salivating!
i think you have to drive around though as there are so many lovely places to see in all countries. we always did that in corfu
And the wine was drunk. And so was I. lol
Good Woman Hego!!!!!
i've only ever been to italy in a lorry, so not the same, but i have eaten some lovely food even if it was in lorry places
lol hego
: D
Yes, Lill, even the highway rest stops have lovely food.
there are some just for lorries hego and they have bathing facilities and bars and a great cafeteria
Meh! I wanna go to Italy!! (stomping foot)
i definitely needed the shower facilities :)
I didn't know that.
Poor Soodle. :(
i embarrassed my hubby once, well actually myself, glad i hadn't realized at the time
Wine is much less expensive in Italy then in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
we stopped at a motorway services but the showers weren't working and i needed to wash my hair and shave my legs as it was summer and i was wearing shorts...
What did you do Lill?
You must tell!
yes....
so my hubby boiled up his kettle and washed my hair for me by the side of his lorry.i then had a wash and shaved my legs. i was wearing a towel and no-one could see me...
and....
Mental images abounding.......
and then when i got back into the lorry i sat in my seat with my legs up on the dashboard and because it was dark, didn't think anything of it and then some lorries went past beeping there horns...
uh oh.....
Oh, that is right up there with 3 year old L yanking men's equipment in the locker room.
so i asked my hubby why and he said because they've all got an eyeful of you..as in what you're not wearing under your towel as they've walked back to their lorries!!
i was horrified....lol
Molly...what????
after that, i made him close the curtains!!
i didn't know any different then molly
Lilliann - be grateful that that probably happened in the days before YouTube! You could have been an internet sensation!
i should keep my mouth shut really.molly will never forget this and glad ru isn't here

Oh, heck lill, tha's not so bad.

I hate to leave the party...... but I must! Thanks for the belly laughs, Lilliann. Night all!
i just thought, i'd bring a little humour :)
Night Soodle. lovely to see you.

And you did.
Your stories are the best L...THE BEST
just never know what you'll hear when you lurk... ;o)

LOL

between you and Peri lillian..it's been a lively sunday
memories sn8 is not good ru
I would imagine that story still gets told at truck stops all around the UK and other places.
ROFL
what did peri say?
hopefully not as it was in italy apparently they were foreign drivers.
We were discussing having guests who have dietary restrictions. I mentioned that it was hard to accommodate all the dietary restrictions of late. In the midst of that, Peri told a story about being invited to her boyfriend's Mom's house for dinner.
Boyfriend forgot to tell Mom Peri is a vegetarian and Mom cooked a ham for dinner.
yes...
In response to my comment about accommodating dietary restrictions of guests, Peri made the best typo ever and said...
Yes, he is hard, but I try to be accommodating.
lmao
Freudian slip of the best kind.
and I missed it
it definitely was, now i don't feel so embarrassed
i bet you were kicking yourself for that ru!!
as 6/24, please?
I came in too late to make a funny comment
Where you put fireplace residue Nan
where put garbage nan
molly's clue is better
ty molly and ruru
bbl..
no-ones clues are better ru..we just get some more easier than others.it depends on the person
bfn
hey, no fair talking about me when I am not here to defend myself :)
15 ra and re words left
hi peri, don't worry about it, i embarrassed myself more! :)
No need to defend yourself Peri. You have gone down in Babble history.
what did you say, lil?
as has Lillian... ;o)
happy to hear that Molls
i have too many r words to get to mention
well, at least I made people laugh
i'm not repeating it peri
:oD
thanks pen...you find out who your friends are on here!! lol
lol...
apparently, so did i :)
It's been a day for that. Started with Tor at the flip and his sn6 clue.
i need to learn how to keep my mouth shut :D
yes, i read that one...
i missed that molly
I really hope you don't L.
ahh, well, it's all life's experiences i suppose
What?
it might help other people learn NOT what to do.lol
hi tor
heh heh
On the contrary, it might help other people loosen up a little. Life is too short for endless, boring discussion.
i've just read your clue from this morning tor and lmao
ex 6, please?
no molly, not as in chat, just don't flaunt bits that you don't realize others can see.lol
ex6 starts like a headache reliever and ends in first vowel
i don't have it yet nan, sorry
is that a brand name molly?
Geez .. I offer a perfectly innocent clue about someone who sn8/55 a ball out of the air, and I get this ..
Yes L, probably one you don't have over there. ex + Winchester Cat****al
that was innocent? !!i hate to think what you'd come up with that wasn't..lol
Tor, you know you are my hero.
ty molly
Ty molly :^D
ty molly
Every time I look at the rankings I go into fits of uncontrollable laughter.
why molly?
A comment that Tor made that I will not repeat because it will get the crankypants in an uproar.
i'm not bothered about where i am but i haven't moved up for over a week even though i've finished every grid
oh come on - repeat it anyway...
oh ok
lol nan
i did not realize there were ratings
look at rankings pen where the blue star is above the cahet
cahet? chat even
i hope i didn't swear in some other language there
yes, i see that now
They are more or less impossible to compete with unless you have been playing since day one.
not important to me anyway, but thanks for clarifying...
Hi all :)
would someone be kind enough to find my last 15 words for me
hi smores
hi smores :)

ugh...that's why I am so tired...just got back from the race
Sorry Peri, I have a photographic memory. I will refrain from mentioning your faux pas though, since it bothers you. I will laugh about it a lot however.
lilly looks cute une, i'm glad she has a home
she's totally adorable!
finally FW now going to forage for dinner
kudos peri!!
WTG peri :)
the bairn and i am watching a programme that is about a big dog shelter in london.battersea dogs home and they have cats and the dogs they get in there are unbelievable.expensive pedigree dogs but people can't afford to care for them anymore.it's sad when that happens or their lifestyle changes so they can't look after them anymore, but atleast those people take them to this home than just throw them out on the street
my parents got a dog from there when i was younger and she was such alovable caring dog.i miss her even now
happens here too, lilliann -- people turn their dogs in to a shelter because they can't afford food, meds, etc. But, man, that's cruel for the dogs . . .
wtg peri, tc
congrats peri
i wrote that wrong, they aren't all pedigrees
Yay peri!
that is sad une, but I agree with lilli at least they aren't dumping them at the roadside
There is more concern for homeless pets than homeless people.
just missing the re 6/27 now
afternoon all ::)
well, at the moment with so many people losing jobs, they can't afford to feed families, nevermind animals so atleast they are putting them into shelters so others can rehome them.i've always bought my cars from shelters
hi jes
o-o . . . can't say that I agree -- I work with homeless pets AND homeless people
got it
no o-o i have just as much concern for homeless people but it is totally different
how's tricks, penq?
You are a good soul Une.
hi jes
lilliann, the thing is, dogs that are turned iinto shelters are euthanized after a few days
aw shucks, molly! :-)
One of the local churches here just added a pet food pantry to their weekly food pantry
oh no une, really?? they're not here
that depends greatly on the shelter
Unfortunately a lot of the them are here lilli
that's great, smores -- our local humane society has a pet food pantry as well (and donated beds, collars, leashes, etc.)
how is little john doing jes?
dr6/27 after drab?
we do have a some great no-kill shelters as well as several rescue centers
snoring on the floor currently
d + Hitler's Third *****
some of our big supermarkets have bins where you can buy and then put animal food into for the shelters..it's normally for the r.s.p.c.a
thanks molly
Thanks, Molly.
same here, smores . . . it's just that everyone's running out of capacity
Okay, when was the last time anyone can recall a discussion about homeless people in the chat?
aww, bless him.will he be re-homed jes?
That's nice. We have lots of supermarket bins collecting for people, but I have never seen one for pets.
if someone wants him
okay...youre right about that o-o
o-0, what would you like to talk about? Here in Nashville, we have quite adequate food and clothing available to the homeless and working poor -- the big problem is affordable housing
I can't say that I recall a discussion about homeless people. This is a very animal oriented chat.
a few nights ago, o-o, in association with the suddenly homeless folks following the tornado in oklahoma
our supermarkets collect for homeless and other charities too
i'm sure they will jes
and NIMBY seems to be the big hurdle -- Not In My Back Ya**
My church has a group that feeds the homeless downtown every week
is the tr 8 related to the 7-9 before it?
That doesn't mean that people here don't care about homeless people. They just like to chat about their pets more I guess.
we have lots of church groups that volunteer on a regular basis in food prep and plating at the soup kitchen I work with
true Molly
Daughter calling...be back in a bit :)
bye, smore
Thank you Une. I have seen people mention working at soup kitchens and food pantries here.
talking about what we do to help the homeless comes accross as boasting so it rarely is a conversation starter, 0-0. It doesn't mean we don't care
have you always had the name o-o since you started babble ?
No L, that is BabbleRabble with a new name.
bfn smores
i thought so molly
he has a new name??
i thought that the other day when he was on
is BR o-o??
that's why i asked the question
BRB . . .

Billywhiz is my favorite English word.
i know, that was soooo funny and she hadn't realized until i said something...lol
billy whizz, ahh, that's the slang one for having a pee?
http://theoatmeal.com/pl/minor_differe\nnces4/accents
My friend uses it as to trash something.
damn..sorry..
not all english people know slang words as it'll be the same around the U.S.different sayings and meaning all around the counties/states
try this instead http://tinyurl.com/3h6a36x
billy whiz is a character in the beano apparently and i use to read it all the time when i was younger, but can't remember
why have we gone big again?
weird...my chat now chops off the last few letters on the right...
oh, i'm thinking of jimmy riddle
yes pen, that's what i menat by why have we gone wide again :)
i now have to use a scroll bar for chat!
i think it might be because of crossy.no malice in that mind crossy
ah.....url quotes are lengthy
i think if people put long urls on here it makes it wider.molly can tell you more

Go PEN!!! I am at 20
apparently billy whiz is a scottish term for speed in the urban dictionary
I'm sure she can Lil.
hi blue, i use to live in dover but in england :0
wow
where are you now?
i bet your beaches are better than ours were though.in dover they are pebbly.up north
yes , they are.
durham, and i know you have durham in the U.S aswell, it's near newcastle which you also have i believe
we do have some lovely white sany beaches in this country though
crossy...fix the chat as you broke it :)
I live near Durham and Newcastle.
New Hampshire
really?that is cool
i don't know new hampshire.i will have to look it up
i know new england
New Hampshire is next to Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts
Maine here.. ;o)
I love Maine.. gorgeous there
close penguis?
midcoast....an hour and a half or a little more to NH
is that memphis and houston aswell?i'm looking at a map here and it shows you are the state before crossing into mexico, is that right?
ty, ru....midcoast is especially nice if you like the coast
anyone have the re 7/32?
I've been to Bar Harbor and Deer Harbor,
so new hampshire isn't a state?
do tell
yes, it is a state
Maine is to the east of NH....near Canada
re7/32- more re5/16 below it
of course it is silly.
and it is the one before mexico?
and the Atlantic Ocean
ret...........to take back
lol....no Mexico is maybe 2500 miles from Maine
oops.....i meant re7
mexico is closer to me lillian
ty.....i thought i had tried that....too tired, i guess...
think of the US and think of the upper northeastern part of the country....
mexico is really close to ME
lillian, what map are you looking at?
to you, but not to ME (Maine)... ;o)
LOL--- Right Pen
oh ok, it's just that i have a map up and then it is outlining a part of the us and i thought that was new england but it has dallas in and houston and that's texas, but it also has phoenix and salt lake city and loads of other places
although there is a Mexico, Maine.....and a China, Denmark, Rome, Lisbon, Paris, and other towns with international names....
you are looking at the southwest, I think....
i just put in new england and all these maps appeared
so what state is before mexico?
you're ok lilli
if you look at a US map, New England is the upper right, bordering on the Atlantic and Canada
you need to go to the east coast of the US.
Texas, Arizona and California border mexico lillian
Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California all border Mexico
Texas, Nevada, Arizona, and California border Mexico, I think....
maybe not nevada, lol....
nowt against my american friends, but i know alot of places as in heard of them, but i haven't got a clue which state or where they are, which will be the same for all of you as in the uk and gb
i am sure you are right, lillian
how about we all meet in the middle.
That's true Lillian...Only know a few places in GB
y all. so where is phoenix, that's not in texas is it?
And the US is so darn big, many who live here don't know all the states or exactly where they are.
Arizona
by the way, that was ty
Phonix is in Arizona
so you have about 4 states that border mexico?
I agree, I don't know many places in the UK and GB.
Phoenix...I meant
Yes, 4 states
ty pen, looking now
so where is new england?
that is a state isn't it?
The US/Mexico border is 2,600 miles long
New England refers to the states in the north east of the US
New England is actually six states...Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine
New England is a group of states on the East coast
it's a region....like the south...or the midwest
i've just looked at the map and saw miami but didn't realize it was that close to mexico but we've flown over it to go to jamaica
It's in the top right part of the country....the most northeast region
6 states? wow, that is big
:))
if you got on a boat and sailed up the Atlantic coast, you would eventually get to New England
from Miami, I meant to say
Just looked up US/Mexico border and it's 3,169 km or 1,969 miles
hi all, and just jumping in to say, new engliand isn't as big as it sounds, because it is made up for six relatively small states
wow tabby, did not know that.
I didn't either...had to look it up
Maine has almost 3500 miles of tidal shoreline....lots of inlets and islands
i think getting in a car and going from dover in england to glasgow in scotland which takes about 8hours in a car roughly is bad enough.nevermind how long it takes you to get to certain places in the america
ty pen for that information
3 days to rive from detroit, michigan, to the lower part of florida . . .
It takes a whole day just to drive across Texas
hi gwen, ty for that. saying that, one of your states is bigger than our whole country :)
it takes about 8 hours to drive the length of Maine...it's the largest geographically of the New England states
4 days to drive from central Florida to San Francisco, a trip we are planning to make around the first of September
no wonder it is quicker for you to fly in the america
i think tom paine pointed that out about 250 years ago LOL
But hubby won't fly...so it's drive or take the train
Lots to see along the way though
oh wow tabby. i've always wanted to go to florida and san francisco.my hubby and i want to rent an rv and drive around america
won't the train be quicker and hassle free tabby, but i don't know about the cost
i enjoy long distance drives, as long as i have time to stop at used book stores along the way 8-)
:) gwen
My Belgian friend's brother did just that. Flew to California, rented a car and drove across the country, stopping along the way to see the sights, before getting to her place in the Florida Keys
They took several weeks to make the trip
it doesn't really make any difference to me what mode of travel i do as i can't just get up and stretch my legs but i do like the one with the most to see
The train takes about the same amount of time, but would be hassle free...expensive though. But worth it for this trip.
i think i'll have to wait until my hubby retires to do it tabby or we win alot of money in the lottery
We keep hoping to win the lottery too
it would have to be a few months to really see and enjoy all the places we want to see
Being able to get up and walk around is one of the advantages of the train and none of the stress of driving.
we were thinking of doing it when the bairn was younger and coming over for 4 weeks but then it meant that he wouldn't have had any more holiday time to take
my hubby has always wanted to see the grand canyon
maybe we could just get on trains and travel or is flying cheap?
So do we. That would be a driving trip though.
Flying is much cheaper and faster of course.
flying shorter distances can be expensive
if you use discount travel sites and plan ahead, you can save money
i want to do it before it is too hard for my husband to help me.he's just 51 but it's a bit of a pain travelling with me so i want it to be fun for him, not me being a nuance
the thing is, it's no use planning a few years ahead as 1, we don't know what's around the corner and 2 prices change all the time
Traveling in coach on the train is not too expensive, but also not too comfortable for long trips. Round trip from where we live in Florida to San Francisco in the cheapest roomette is over $3,000. That's considered first class though and all meals on the train are included.
we'll do it one day, but atleast i can say i've seen some parts of america when i've flown over it :) and i've been to jfk airport and stood outside
the problem with me tabby is that i need the disabled bit so it's harder to plan and book
If you only see one city in the US, I'd recommend Washington, DC There's so much to see and do and much of it is free
oh cool and alot of babblers live there(they're all saying no, don't come here)!lol
hopefully one day.i've always wanted to go to hawaii aswell
Really? We made our first trip there last November for Thanksgiving. We packed so much into each day and felt like we only scratched the surface
but that is expensive from here
As for the disabled bit...there are much easier accomodations here due to a law passed in 1990,
well i hate to leave in the middle of hawaii / DC but i'm off, byeeeee 8-)
i was joking about them saying it(well, maybe not to me)aye, i think there are quite a few babblers in washing state, or is that differnt...probably...my geography isn't good
bye gwen, tc
it's not the hotel rooms as such it's sitting on trains, planes etc
on a train, i need a place for my chair but i can't go backwards and i'm not good with tunnels
Yes, Washington state is different. It's on the west coast on the Pacific Ocean and it rains a lot there. They actually have a rainforest
i get dizzy on planes when we first take off for about an hour and i end up sleeping
really? wow
Amtrak trains have special handicapped bedrooms and you can get your meals delivered to the room
i wouldn't want my food delivered i'd be happy to go and eat in the restaurant if my wheelchair can get there but i can get into a seat if needed.i just don't like to take up seats when i don't need to, as it means more spaces for others
if i have my hubby i don't need special anything and to be quite honest i don't want it.he'll just throw me up into a bed and around to where ever i need to go to :)
Don't know if a wheelchair can make it to the dining car. We've only made one train trip so far. We usually drive
well, if we ever do travel on a train in the US, i'll just get hubby to do a fireman's lift and we'll be fine
it's all wishful thinking tabby.hopefully one day it wioll happen
Our trains are not as nice as the ones there and in most of Europe
our's are crap!!
alot of your's have 2 levels?
I dream of making a trip over there one day too. Would have to win the lottery though
Really, I thought they were nice and much faster than ours.
can someone clue the last re word please?
not in the uk.the french ones are faster than ours i think.our's are always delayed because there are leaves on the line or snow
The trains that run in the west have 2 levels. The east coast routes have low tunnels so only one level
no sorry pen, i only have 4 re words
French fox
Ours are often delayed, because they run on tracks that are owned by the freight trains, and the freight trains have precedence. Passenger trains will have to pull onto a siding and wait for the freight trains to pass.
ty tor
oh really, i didn't know that

hello dear friends
first di5 please?
no-one uses a di***phone anymore
hi Trif and all
hi trif
ty lyn
and hi lyn
does the 7 go of that one lyn?
yes...and hello Lil
ty, i got it
a boss would di***** to his secretary
those words are almost archaic now
ah thanks
they definitely are lyn which is a shame, but there are so many things that have changed through out the years and alot more to come
people still do it all the time, especially doctors and lawyers
Yep, I transcribe di******* from digital recordings.
voice recognition will soon change that I wouldn't mind betting
Voice recognition has a big lag in the medical and legal fields.
voice recognition is great, but when there are mistakes it takes as long to find and correct them as it does to just transcribe in the first place
I know my specialist uses voice recognition software to update his files
and field-specific jargon is definitely where you get mistakes in VR
last dr5 please? :)
i've just read through your profile pipping and you've worked really hard to get where you are. i take my hat off to you. my mam has glaucoma and i have to be tested every couple of years
bever mind duh
Yep Pip, it is the field specific jargon that makes a lot of mistakes in voice recognition software. Some of them are funny.
aw, thanks lilli! it's a really interesting job, and i get to use lasers to look at eyeballs!
as I said I'd happily put money on it happening - and I am not a betting person
i know we've spoken before now, as i've just seen your pictures and i remember you saying you were studying but good for you to get through and have a job
mmm, i don't know if i want a lazer to my eyeball :0
okay, im stuck - any help for the a in the top row? it is fishy? Even the count would be helpful
working on things, and it's nice to have made some progress. plus the apartment is cleaner after this weekend and i've made a big batch of chicken tetrazzini!
(first weekend off in 5 weeks, it's lovely)
i think it is an ar word
it's a scanning laser lilliann, no zapping at all - measures the thickness of your retinal fiber layer
ar4
ar4.4
thanks....
OH GOD - fish me!
chicken tetrazzini?
>*)))<<<
Pip, in your field alone, pigmentosa, scleral buckle and retinoblastoma are words that voice recognition makes a mess of.
it's ok trif, i only got it from a clue :)
oh ok, well atleast it won't hurt then.apparently i'm suppose to be getting tested every year for glaucoma, is that right pip?
can i have a clue for all 3 de8's please
generally if you have it in your family and have risk factors it's wise to do so
molly i can only imagine the mess it makes of the abbreviations and acronyms we use too!
ty, it's just that my optician see's me every 2 years for my eye test but i was told if a family member has it i should be tested yearly.saying that my opticians are a widely known shop and all about money, and not p[eople
and i had a woman in her 80's notes given to me a few years ago which had her address on, which isn't good, so god knows who got mine as they've lost mine twice
and that was also on the computor that they lost all my information
ouch
exactly, especially with computor fraud and they'll have all my details!
no, the best thing you can do with glaucoma is catch it early and control it, since it is irreversible
or, the damage it does is irreversible, that is
hi folks
hey welki
hi welki
the de8s are not joined
ty lyn
hi all
hmmm doesn't look like i will finish this one! haha
hi jmc
hi jmc
evening, jmc
hi jess, jmc
i won't finish either
ugh i am staying at my sister's place in the mountain and the guy was supposed to have fixed the dishwasher but he didn't
and now it is beeping every minute or two and i can't figure out how to stop it. . .
it doesn't bode for a restful night!
open it?
can you unplug it jmc?
that is what is making it beep. . . if i close it, it grinds with no water. . .
i think i could trow the circuit breaker but i would have to go outside and down into the yucky basement. . . something i dont care to do late at night. . .
no dial, then, eh?
there is not a power switch in a cupboard next to it
<---certified wimp about dark places
that reminds me, i meant to ask where the plug is to our fridge freezer(it's in a built in cupboard and i need to defrost it)
no, I wish lynxxx I looked in a couple of them
(meant to ask my hubby that is
i think i will just have to either gird my loins. . .screw to the sticking point. . .and go into the basement. . .or just ignore it all night. . .
that is the problem with built ins isn't it?
i vote circuit breaker
maybe you can just set it to very very warm. . .
*whimpers and whines* but its dark and dank and there are things in the basement. . .
i realize this will destroy my reputation in the chog as a strong woman!
i only have a setting for the fridge and the freezer just is frozen when it's plugged in
breaks into song, 't's dark as a dungeon and damp as the dew, Where danger is double and pleasures are few, Where the rain never falls and the sun never shines It's dark as a dungeon way down in the mine'
what things?
what a great song! i sing it all the time!
just get a torch and make loads of noises as you are going down the stairsd :)
you'll do fine - want me to call you and be on the phone with you when you go?
i don't know lil. . . spiders (which i like) and there was a rattler living under the house for a while. . .
haha the cell doesn't work out here welki. . . .
the beeping will drive you nuts
ear plugs :)
really? well, i wouldn't go down either knowing there could be a snake....ooh, my arms have come up all goose bumpy
sorry, i'm no help.i agree with jes.put some ear phones in listen to music
not as nuts as the night i spent in logan where they have a connectic sculpture that was designed to run randomly and ran all night long randomly so you couldn't get used to it. . .
ear plugs are a great idea!
how do you spell connectic?
Find the little hole where the beeper is, and put tape over it ..
if the dishwashing guy had serviced the machine before - then I would ring him up NOW and ask where the switch is
or put a pillow over your ears
haha lynxxx you is even crankier than I am! haha
it is after 11 pm here
hi torgie. . .we were missing you with titman and titmen in the grid. . .
so what, lyn's right, if he was suppose to fix it and didn't disturb him as you
are
unfortunately i don't have his number and am not willing to call my sister to get it. . . she is getting up early tomorrow to catch a train to see grandbaby and mom. . .
lynxx is right and if it were my house and my phone book i probably would do it. . .
i think jack and ear plugs will have to do. . .
jack, ear plugs and singing dark as a dungeon until you fall asleep :)
OK far room in the house, towel against the bottom of the door, earplugs and background music
haha - forgot about jack
sounds like a plan. . .
tsk lynxxx how could you forget about jack? haha
Tor gave the best advice.
although boyhowdy, it sure didn't put you to sleep when we were in jersey
i will look for the hole before i head to bed. . .
haha the company kept me awake welki. . .
i had a blast with you :)
besides while it doesn't put me to sleep it can assist. . . just like coffee doesn't keep me awake but can assist me staying awake. . .
Hello all....does anyone know what 30th anniversary is today?
i just refound the saab manual today when i was packing welki. . . thanks again for that. . .
glad you can use it
hi jill :)
hmmm not my wedding or my nieces birthday. . . i give up jilly. . .what?

no. . . it is still beeping. . .
yep
i don't know jes, i have the fa6/30 but not the others
hi une!
ty une
add vowel to the 6 to make latin plural
got the 7, still looking for 8 and 9
hey jmc :-)
add consonant to fa7 so it ends in consumed food
got 'em. thanks.
then past tense
had never seen the 8 and 9 before.
ty une
me either! :-)
I think it is related to fa******ing rythym? (not) hi Une
:-D
good song :)
:-( i have two fa7 one meaning more ornate and the other meaning liked. . .
Apologizing to Jill, if she comes back, and taking off. Didn't mean to cause drama in the chat. *Sigh*...really?
yes, there's also an fa7/44 which is plural of fa 6/30 that means connective tissue layer surrounding muscle
no drama molls
i didn't think there was a drama
ct
17 left and i'm going to finish this come hell or high water
Go lillian!!

i'm missing the 2x7 after fa4, as in a truth

Hey jes, since you are on, I have a cat sneezing a lot...of course holiday weekend...he's eating, but less enthusiastic than usual...
any discharge/mucus from nose or eyes?
clear from nose, not too much from eyes
how old? other cats sneezing? any coughing?
my dogs have been sneezing from all the pollen blowing around . . .
No coughing, about 4-5. indoor cat, other cat isi fine
oh, and current on vaccines
ca7.32 an archaic scottish freebooter - who knew
dust, pollen, smoke? could be viral or could be allergic. take a temperature - if over 103, needs an appointment. if about 101 (normal) try benadryl. how much does she weigh?
Just a sec, will have son weigh him...will have to check temp...will a digital work on a cat?
nose is cool and wet...
not i lynxxx
yup. rectal, not oral - cats get surprisingly cranky about things in their mouth.
about 13 pounds
1/2 of a 25 mg benadryl tablet twice daily then
tr845 please
Can't imagine the rectal will be fun...LOL..
putting son to work on temp...LOL..
have your son pet and distract while you temp, or vice versa. back scratches often help
better son than you...
*checks dates on magazines in waiting room*
ooo highlights for children! my favorite
i feel sorry for cats in that respect
lol jmc
used to love finding the hidden pictures!
i like goofus and gallant. . .

yay!
yeah, try benadryl, see if that helps
anyone have a clue for tr8,45 please
Okay, and we'll get him in Tuesday...LOL...we now return to our regular scheduled babble...thank you jes!

And now for the benedryl....*sigh*...puts on protective gear...brb
np jill, they are part of the family. i lost one of my cats about 6/7 weeks ago and miss him
sorry to hear that lil. . .
