sprite is our girl in the field there. but she can't go as frequently as we would all like her to go. ruby loves having her over, and DH behaves himself when they have company.
my desk is next to my bed and my pug(annapooh) likes to get on the bed and then plunk her fat little hindend in front of me and its not too easy working around her--lol

the first one i had, was diagnostic, pre-replacement. i had a bilateral menisectomy and a synovectomy at the time. my friend at work recovered me. he said, rose, when you burst into tears i gave you 50mgs of pethidine, and 3 minutes later the other 50mgs. bless him!!!
pugs, if the accumulated blood does not dissipate, it may become infected...and we don't want that on a relatively new total joint replacement.

no, pugs, if the blood doesn't dissipate, the washout will accelerate my recovery.the bruising will rapidly fade, and hopefully the posterior tendon will recover when there is no pressure on it.
Well I hope it all works out for you then Rose so you will be up to power on your vacation coming up
meanwhile i am wearing a compression bandage over the joint, to try and force the dissipation of the blood.

i have a cople of other tres, i'm not sure what they are but they're not trees that birds nest in and i can't plant any fir trees in my garden as alot of it will be paved on 3 levels as we live on a hill and have ramps abd the rest i want to keep as grass, plus we should get rid of the trees as they are very close to the house
i have fruit trees in huge planters but obviously the birds won't nest in them.we had to get rid of the 2 fir trees in the front yard aswell so i could get around it and i was gutted about that.it's a shame as alot of people don't have trees in their gardens near me.

You should talk to an arborist. Certain trees do just fine planted close to a wall or a house and they provide nice shade in the warmer weather.

i'm thinking of having raised beds on the outside where the lawn is and then a couple in the middle of each level so i can get all the way around them and then moving our little summer house and i would love a greenhouse

i do gardening in my front yard but there are days when i can't get out to do it as i'm bad so i need a no nonsense garden. where i can grow shrubs but not have to do alot of weeding
but i do love growing fruit and veg and i do alot of it in tubs which is great as i love home grown produce but alot of work for me as i can't pick up the tubs to empty them out when they have finished growing so i end up relying on hubby who as you know is never here and the bairn and she doesn't want to do it because of creepy crawlies!!
and i still have old plants in some from last year, which annoys me as i cna't do anything about them and i hate asking my neighbours for help

i do have someone who comes and cuts the grass every fortnight and he prunes back my hedge which will have to go and he strimmed down all the weeds last year but he also strimmed one of my favourite plants thinking it was a weed and it hasn't grown aswell this year

mmm...you should have seen her the other day in the kitchen when i asked her to do something, which was fine, she did it until she saw a spider in the kitchen and the screaming started and then she refused to go into the kitchen again until i got rid of it.
Oh, and I bet it's real easy for you to get rid of a spider in a wheelchair...not.

she won't even get rid of the dead animals that our cat and other's kill in my garden!she's such a drama queen! she used to go to my neighbours and ask them to do it, now they refuse and tell her she has to do it:)

Speaking of whining...Nurse Jill...I am not a whiny patient. However, the last two times I have had blood drawn it hurt like hell and I've had an ugly bruise after. Have they changed the needle size, or am I just getting stuck by incompetents?

If they used a needle syringe, next time ask them to use a butterfly needle. May not have anything to do with experience, my hubby, who could get blood out of a turnip, hurt like heck. Let them know about past experience.

some also use vacutainers which can lead to more trauma to tissue...also, the minute they pull the needle out, bend your elbow and elevate your arm to decrease bruising.

A butterfly needle has little wings on it that look like butterfly wings.

Sounds like a vacutainer, did they change tubes during the draw? Here our butterfly needles can be used with vacutainer tubes. But a good phlebotomist can draw and then put in tubes.
Bend yes, never told to elevate though. Will try that next time.
It's nurses that take my blood. They do it right in the doctor's office to save me some money since I don't have insurance. And it was just to test my TSH level, so I think it was a one tube draw. (I don't watch)

i am fine. grandson zakkai ill. go to caringbridge.org and search zakkai. then put in your email and click so it sends you updates. his poor body is a mess. and he has three vertebrae that never formed right and now has kyphosis and scoliosis. not good.
