DH loves kids...his own seem to be on the long road to china when it comes to committing themselves to a relationship. he is so disappointed. so when my grandkiddies come around, he just wallows in being a proxy grand-dad.
nearly bed-time here for the little darlings...peace will reign, and not soon enough. you should see DH scuttling about...setting up swings, taking them for walks, playing ball games...it's such a delight to see. gosh, i love this man!!
my hubby is heaps better with the g/kids than what he was with our own...prolly cos he is now retired and has more time for them.
yeah, diz...only with mine, he was a single parent for nearly 20 years. now he can relax and enjoy the good life.well...as much as he can...with mother mac here, it can become a tad exhausting.

reading back on sleep and cpap.crossy is a really bad boy.the machine has to have been created by the devil and i have not used mine in months. good news however is that i no longer seem to choke at night.bad news is i sleep from 1 am to 3 am and from noon till 1:30 in the afternoon and that is my sleep

my problem and the need for the full mask is not my mouth opening,but my nose shutting down at night

i borrowed my brother's surplus machine which is automatic. it increases pressure when it senses i am not breathing. problem: i don't stop breathing fully. my lungs fail to use all the muscles and do not inflate fully= hypopnia. so machine does not recognise the need to increase pressure.
it is really complicated, isn't it :(

what i have is central sleep apnea. my brain fail to tell my lungs and associated muscles to work properly. ev4 when i am awake, which is really scarey.
in 57 minutes of REM sleep, i have 23 episodes of hypopnia which lasted 20-25 seconds.
it is amazing the varieties of apnea

lol, coupled with full on episodes of apnea, didn't sleep very well. when i had my sleep study done, the nurse said my legs didn't stop all night. wonder why i was so tired.

I always bought new cars for the warranty and so I'd know they were taken care of from the start. I do think it's worth the extra money. When you buy used, you don't know how well it was maintained and you start out with less time on the car....just my opinion. I'd do it SOON, though while you can get a decent trade-in.

when he was younger and use to do body building apparently the coach was giving everyone shakes that had steroids in and no-one knew and my hubby ended up in a coma for a few days and they told him he would have to be on tablets for the rest of his life to help thin his blood(i think it was thin or it could be thicken, i can't remember) anyway he didn't want anymore drugs in his system so the dr looking after him said that he had a dr friend who did herbal medicine and they found out eggs was the best thing
my 27 yo has scrolled back to eating less than i do. . . but my 40 yo nephew has never paused. . .
meanwhile,if i eat a potato chip at the wrong time of day,i am burping it for 3 days:((

Cross, the 'Chunnel' is the most efficient mode of transport I have ever used. Drive your car onto a train, and 20 minutes later, voila, you're in France!

Lilllian, she tends to "rattle on" on phone calls talking about coming to see Mom, then Mom can't remember when and keeps calling us asking where Mary is..or like last week, she didn't let any of us know she had cancelled plans to come that weekend.

my nan who has senile dementia is now in a home.she will be 96 this year but about 4 years ago she was in her own flat but with a warden, but shouldn't have been living on her own then as her memory was going but now she doesn't remember anyone and has got very physical with others and on tablets to calm her down. it is upsetting to know she is like that.she lives about 5 hours away from me but i don't want to see her as it would really upset me. i want to remember her how she was

I would have like to remembered my Dad the way he was, but that wasn't an option. I was all he had.
This whole dementia/Alzhiemers disease is horrid. I say prayers daily that I can die suddenly and not have to go through all this. Wish that wasn't what my hubby is going to go through.

my aunty went to see her last week as she lives about 50 minutes away and my nan just got up and walked out on them and went outside with her newspaper because she couldn't remember her own daughter

Just because my husbands previously generic medication is now only made by one company; that makes it nongeneric in the eyes of insurance and we have to pay for it.
