son has been away for a couple of days, pug, a mini holiday with friends. He had a marvelous time. He came home yesterday and still was very pleasant and helpful :)

woof, my all time favorite recipe for easy cooking: fresh pasta with smoked salmon and bell peppers. Cook pasta, cut up the peppers and fry them with black pepper. Cut up the smoked salmon and serve over the pasta with bell peppers. Done.

I usually get over half on most grids but I keep striding for the fireworks
sprite, i have reduced the page with the grid on it, to a smaller window. i then open enable in a new window, reduce it's size even further. i also hit edit, and then find.
over half is pretty good, actually. Don't get discouraged by people getting FW... most of us have been playing a lot longer than you.
and almost all of us use tools when we get stuck. Its why people mention how far they get without the list, etc
and you get the definition then?
I would stay here if I only found one word for just all you friends
'find' opens a small window on the bottom, into which you can type letters. when i open lickety, i reduce that page also..so i have babble, with chog open, and beside it, lickety and enable

when I get really stuck, I use a2z. Usually gets me FW without having to use Lickety. But some grids are killers.

no definitions, just words in alphabetical order. i work backwards and forwards between the grid, lickety and enable, for example, i may have no4, no4, but am missing no6, at the beginning, so i type in no into enable press enter until i reach the words which start with no.
first of all: choose a picture you want as your icon. Best is a square one.

My "system" (such as it is) is, like Sprite, I type in any word I see. Then I read through the chog. Then I go back once or twice and then give up....

If there are any around... The latin plurals are invariably my last words lol
during my whole run I use clues that appear in chog. Unless I just started and people are raining clues, then I hide the chog for a little bit.

the popcorn is the best part... one of walter's sisters gave him a small popcorn machine for christmas... he uses it at least twice a week when we fing=d a good movie to watch on tv.. got a 10 lb bag of popcorn kernels at gfs for abour 10 bucks and it will last for a few more months... love that stuff!!~

the chat is here to help others in the game and to chat and make friends or not and i must admit i do use shortened words alot because of my arthritis in my fingers and wrists, but i do think children use to it too much when texting and because of that can't spell properly
Anyway, my original point was that this chat get exclusive sometimes, what with NBT, NBS, sp7/44, and a lot of other things. It would be nice if there was a place for those not familiar to figure out what those things mean.
Here there was an emphasis on children being encouraged to write and to express and not be so concerned about the spelling. Happily I think they have changed that policy now. Anyway Babble is a great place to ask any question and to get an answer or an opinion...we are not all experts in every field.

Ahh, my cat does exactly the same Joso.She'll go to the door so i go in my chair and open it, she then turns around and goes into my lounge or kitchen, so i lock the door and go back to my computor or watch tv and get settled and then she'll meow and then go back to the door, she does this about 3 times!! i think it is attention seeking, like children:)

Jill, my cat will run up and down the stairs like a frenzied idiot and then she'll go into the bathroom and roll onto my bath mat and roll it over and then jump on me in bed. when she does that i know she really wants to go outside to do her business. sometimes though, i haven't heard or felt her and she has done it on the stairs, always in the same place, but that's poo.i wouldn't mind but i have wooden floors and she never does it on them!

you know, i've always liked the rcmp's shepherds - wouldn't mind one of those, they're beautiful animals
whatever gets you a great doggie :)
but - i'm going to make a conscious effort to keep next dog (if there's a next dog) a smaller breed
they don't usually give them up after service welki, usually their handler takes them... remember they are highly trained...
The only small breeds I like are pugs and king charles cavalier spaniels
little dogs are great too, but most tend to be very yappy... it's right in the genes...

no no - lion's club = service dogs. the rcmp does adopt out they're shepherds, but the ones that don't make it through training. you're right - the handlers usually adopt their k9 dogs
the wait list for an rcmp dog is long
king charles are pretty, but not too bright... pugs are smart, not yappy, but easily get heavy....and all the problems with that and breathing...
feh - i'll probably end up with a nice rescue mutt :)
mutts are good, usually very good temper, and not high strung... sometimes they look very odd though...
