ty jilli
geez anike.. I bet he'd give his eyeteeth to not go through that
cataract surgery has improved a lot though hasn't it?
In major pain after some dental work the other day but won't take it easy. I got the pun , by the way. Ha.Ha
cataract surgery is a piece of cake now.
:D
They say cataracts done make a huge difference these days - afternoon surgery then home
I had a friend who had cataract surgery and went to work the next day
Next year he will get new knees too so will be a bionic man soon (already has a new shoulder)
jeeez
poor guy.. you're a bit rough on him huh anike?
Getting older isn't much fun
tell me about it
Arthritis and a lifetime of racing motorcycles have taken a toll
oh.. well. that explains a lot then
I stupidly continued to play tennis on bad knees
that's how dumb I am
Rose, we have National Historic championships here next week so have switched off from superbikes to haul out the old stuff again
Ruru - this sport stuff is definitely bad for you
I wish I played less.. I'd probably be still playing
good heavens, anike. your life certainly isn't boring.
Rose, I have missed what you are actually having done this time
*giggle* anike, whenever a patient comes through following surgery for a sport-related injury, i always ask them....please tell me how good playing sport is for you?
No, life is not dull but I would like some me time one day
anike, a revision total knee replacement
Ooh! Hope that is not too common - Peter need both done but is putting it off as long as possible
only when a) the prosthesis gets worn out, or b) when someone leaves a wet floor at work, no signs posted, and one skids and falls.
My son Adam has buggered knees from his days as a rugby player - falling off motorbikes hasn;t helped either and he is only young. My daughter has gymnastic related problems so it makes you wonder sometimes
anike, warn peter, once he has had it done, he may need yo look for a different bike. i have a friend who found he couldn't get on or off his bike post-op
Clumsy huh?
who me or adam?
Peter hasn't ridden for a few years now - really misses it. He just preparing 6 bikes (4 + spares) for Adam for nest wekend
You - fancy slipping on a wet floor - did you find the culprit?
Peter more worried that he won't be able to manoevre enough to do everything he does at the track etc
i don't fancy slipping on wet floors...if the powers that be did find out who washed the floors without posting signs, they never told me. and i haven't had an apology from environmental services either.
anike, reassure peter, i was nearly 12 months down the track and working 10 hour shifts. hydrotherapy is the key.
Probably lucky for the culprit that you don't know. They are so over-officious about some safety issues these days but don't watch out for the simple, avoidable accidents that are just common sense.
I'll have to get him on to that. Speak of the devil, he's back so had better go and see if I can help him. Catch you soon.
i'm sort of hoping that they didn't get the sack over it. this is costing the workcover insurers a packet.
xoxoxox anike

May I please have a clue for re9-72? Thanks
re9/72 - begin with the going back word (re5/10) then add a conflagration, plural for the 10.
Thanks so much, Haz.
You're welcome.
Hi Haz and peach
Hello, Dianne
Hey there, Diane.
Haz - haven't seen you in a while. Everything good?
Dianne.
Yes, Dianne, I'm fine. I just kept out of chat for quite a while but continued to babble.
Don't stay out of the chat - I love your comments, stories, etc.
That's kind of you. I was avoiding someone so it seemed easier to say nothing.
There are some strong minded Babblers that seem
to have to have their say no matter what.
Why isn't re + gi 4/99 a word? We all do it.
I know. It just spoiled babble chat for me for quite a while.
Pass the parcel, literally.
The thing is you have to remember who you got it from so you don't accidentally give it back to them the next yea.
Absolutely - or else be prepared to lie through your teeth and say you enjoyed the item so much that you wanted them to have the pleasure as well.
I'll have to remember that "explanation" in case I need it.
Do you all remember Johnny Carson saying that there was really only one fruitcake, it was just passed on each year. LOL
My sister-in-law can't throw anything out, however ghastly, if it's been given to her as a present. Her house is full of stuff that I'd happily bin but she feels that if someone has given it to her, it has to stay.
I agree with your sister, in that every gift should be appreciated, and I do my best to find someone (other than me) that will appreciate thatparticular "thing".
She invests a great deal of sentiment in things so has things like postcards sent to her grandmother (dead 40 years).
I save all the
cards I get from you husband.
Yes, I appreciate the thought behind the gift but I won't keep it indefinitely. I have a friend who was given a cactus that sits on her kitchen windowsill. She has hated the sight of it for 30 years but won't throw it out.
That's a real love/hate relationship.
I've offered to do the deed while her back is turned but she can't bring herself to do it.
It flowers about once every ten years and the rest of the time it just sits there mocking her and looking ugly.
I am struggling with the G words.
I don't have them all either.
I'm struggling with the conflagration clue!!!! I know conflagration is a massive fi4/7, but can't get any further!!!
Hello, worzel. Get the re5/10 - meaning backwards or fashion of past years and add that fi.
ooo ty haz - what an odd word!!
I have se 4 x 3 - what's the last one?
Isn't it, worzel? Glad you got it.
how many words are there today please? and ty haz for the 9 and 10 xx
155 words altogether
There's an se5/16
ty xx
There are 113 easy one and 42 difficult one (the ones I haven't found yet).
i'll take your word for the EASY bit - I'm stuck on 49. Am not such a seasoned pro lol
im a bit of a ne4/5 lmao
Got it Haz - thanks.
You're welcome.
Hello, Haz.
Good morning, o-o.
Once you find the ones you cannot find you will find they are easier to be found.
Ah, but sometimes even though I have the word, I can hardly trace its path in the grid.
So true ... the devil is in the details
It's especially when people ask what words come from which tile. That can be difficult.
Yes, I have the difficulty too. I have been thinking if sending the askers to the lost and found?
We had our first severe frost of the winter yesterday morning. I will have to practise my walking on slippery pavement skills.
I think it may be time to invest in some of those things you slip on over shoes to minimise the risk of falling.
No snow here ... and some of the trees have kept their leaves ... rather unusual ...
We've had some really odd weather in Liverpool last couple days. Yesterday we had hailstones and i measured one at 3/4 inch wide!
I might invest in a proxy walker.
I always liked the idea of getting someone to do exercise for you by proxy.
Hail can do a lot of damage.
DId the hailstones cause any damage, worzel?
We have really strong wids here - from the typhoon that devastated the Phiippines.
*winds
No haz but they did scare me. Was sat quietly minding my own business and thought someone was rapping on the window!!!
Doctor told me to lose some weight ... so I hid a dumbbell
Nevermore
Just as long as the dumbbell stays quiet and doesn't tell on you.
Yes. can do without any complications
Veterans Day in the US. More platitudes.
It's Remembrance Day here as well.
I discovered my grandfather's uncle's will online. All British and Irish soldiers were required to write their wills at the beginning of the Great War. The National Archives have made some of them available online. It's amazing how technology brings the past sharply into focus.
Phantom: rectitudinous ... seems an appropriate word for much of what said today.
o-o, do you feel war is ever justified? If you had your time over again, would you be a conscientious objector?
List of ongoing armed conflicts http://tinyurl.com/35egq3s
Difficult questions, Haz. If a country is attacked, the country I believe is entitled to defend itself.
I agree. It becomes complicated when other countries weigh in.
I had the option to be a conscientious objector. I also could have gone to Canada as many did. I thought Vietnam was a war against a communist threat.
So when you went, you felt that you were fighting for a good cause?
The facts about the Gulf of Tonkin were bogus
The thing is it's too easy to say the U.S govt gave out a lot of false info in the 60s, but to be fair all governments did. It was a very secretive and dangerous time
The Vietnamese did not want us there ... the governments had a different idea.
True. Plus the fact that all administrations are based on costings for war. The US were close to bankruptcy at the start of the Vietnam war so they had to do something I guess.
Shame Kennedy didn't live - I think Vietnam would never have happened under him
L
Of course, there are those that say one of the main reasons Kennedy was assassinated was because he wouldn't go to Vietnam. Hearsay, possibly, but I know I have my opinions about LBJ. Saying no more!!
Before the election in 1968, an agreement was reached to end the war. Nixon sabotaged it ... 5000 more Americans died so Nixon could be elected ... as well as more allied deaths. Peace with honor, as Nixon stated it, was never honorable.
To be honest I neither liked or disliked Nixon. He made a lot of bad decisions, but like all leaders he was probably misled by his advisers. Mind you, he was a stubborn bugger!!
I have absolutely no respect for Nixon.
He allowed more people to be killed as an expediency
I don't think there's been a good US president for decades. Same with UK prime ministers - nobody decent since Churchill
Churchill set the bar pretty high, though.
Very true. He was a pretty good bloke. Mrs Thatcher could have taken a few leafs from his book lol
I think her problem in the end was that Mrs Thatcher believed her own publicity and thought that she was the natural successor to Churchill.
She could have been a good PM - well, she was to start with. I think her problem was that unlike most other PMs she never took anybody else's advice into account - she was TOO stubborn. Yes, Churchill was stubborn, but always listened to advice. She became too wrapped up in herself, sadly
Let's not talk politics please because I was/am a Thatcher fan.
OK Pat sorry - but to be fair we all have our opinions. But you're right, maybe this isn't the place! Back to words!!! Sorry x
Okay, Pat, I'm about to head off to walk the dog. He's getting increasingly impatient.
Ta Worzel
Good to see you, Haz. Enjoy the walk.
And ta to Haz
And I don't mind not discussing things if it's a sore point. I'll enjoy the walk - and so will the dog! Bye for now.
anyway i'm going for a smoke now and shall see you all soon (also gonna hyper myself up with a thick black coffee!!!) ta-ra for a mo xx
is it 12 or 24 hours difference between UK and Australia?
I think it is up to 11hours in front of us (UK)
ok thanks. Now I've got my info I can go for my smoke lol. See u in a bit xx

don't worry pat - you just gave me three words that i didn't have! Can't be bad!!!
Don'r worry. These things happen.
What a clot I am. I rarely chat because I forget to move back to the grid.
I swear the dog is laughing at me!
LOL
The oldest plant scientists have brought back to life is a 32,000 year old strain of the flower Silene stenophylla; they recovered the seeds from a prehistoric cache left behind by a squirrel.
Blimey - is that squirrel in the book of records for being so old? lol
re 7/28 clue please

Has another attempt

Nov. 7, 2013 — Professor of Genetics Scott Williams, PhD, of the Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Sciences (iQBS) at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine, has made two novel discoveries: first, a person can have several DNA mutations in parts of their body, with their original DNA in the rest -- resulting in several different genotypes in one individual -- and second, some of the same genetic mutations occur in unrelated people. We think of each person's DNA as unique, so if an individual can have more than one genotype, this may alter our very concept of what it means to be a human, and impact how we think about using forensic or criminal DNA analysis, paternity testing, prenatal testing, or genetic screening for breast cancer risk, for example. Williams' surprising results indicate that genetic mutations do not always happen purely at random, as scientists have previously thought.
Wow! o-o thank you for that info. It has set my mind buzzing and is true food for thought.
hi pat, no [olitics for me, either
not just a bit frightening, o-o
For me, the one certainty is we do not know enough ... I doubt we ever will.
hi all

Speak of the devil! Hello crossy. Joso's planning to goose you... apparently. :)

Good morning Crossy. Joso started it!

i have my flanders poppy on
Veterans day is a farce full of platitudes that do not reflect the veteran's status as a commodity and budget item.
that is why i celebrate it in the manner of 100 years ago. just a flanders poppy on armistice day.
well, almost 100, not quite.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place: and in the sky The larks still bravely singing fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead: Short days ago, We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved: and now we lie In Flanders fields! Take up our quarrel with the foe To you, from failing hands, we throw The torch: be yours to hold it high If ye break faith with us who die, We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields Composed at the battlefront on May 3, 1915 during the second battle of Ypres, Belgium
that do be the poem.
very touching o-o, thanks for posting
that's flosey right?
failing hands pass the torch because of death ... General Patton: "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."
yeah war is pretty stupid and one can only honor the fact that individuals are willing to sacrifice - even if the larger picture is - not something we can understand or agree with
yes war is dreadful but we do have to protect our rights and sometimes that has meant war
Half a league half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred: 'Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns' he said: Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. 'Forward, the Light Brigade!' Was there a man dismay'd ? Not tho' the soldier knew Some one had blunder'd: Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do & die, Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred.
Veteran's Day annoys me. You thank them today, but cut food stamps last week knowing full well that 900,000 military families depend on food stamps every month to survive. Not to mention those who are no longer serving.
here is a good story though. this is how i heard that gladiatorial contests came to stop. a monk had gone to rome and in to the stadium and he didn't know exactly what they did there or how horrifying it would be or something, i guess. but when he saw the men battling to the death, he forced himself down to the edge of the ring and yelled out, "in the name of Christ, forbear!" nothing happened at first but he kept yelling and i think got into the centre himself and yelled it again. and the audience saw him and got quiet wondering what would happen. and i think the soldier who was fighting the slave came over and stabbed him. and as he lay dying he called out again weakly, "in the name of Christ, forbear!". and in the silence the rest of the crowd was suddenly able to realize the horror of what they'd been doing for sport, and there were no more gladiatorial fights in rome. now that is a worthwhile sacrifice.
are you suggesting we all sit back and let some greedy country overtake our country
invictus makes an excellent point - we should put our money where our mouth is. way too many homeless veterans out there.
hello
They come home and have nothing to help them while they get back on their feet. We don't provide mental health care, and many times, don't provide physical health care. There is no training to help them re-enter civilian life. We help prisoners transitioning back to freedom more than we help our military! It is sickening how everyone just thinks saying thank you is enough.
sorry but i need help with the third column R please?

hello sprite
hey teach :)
how's your day been so far?
hi folks, just getting started here
hi bichon :)
hello bichon - been on and off several times today so far
I keep getting late starts and I'm retired
pretty intense... therapy day today. Am rather tired.
that must require a lot of emotional and physical energy
Hope it was a positive outcome sprite
hi Chrissie :)
hello chrissie
Hi ladies :)
lunch therapy triggered an old trauma, which was bad. Not yet sure if it will be beneficial in the end. First... babble and babble friends :) Then sleep... and tomorrow we will see.
(((Hugs))) sprite
thanks :)
always good to know that our babble community is here to support us when needed
absolutely. I thank babble and all you people every day in my prayers.
So true
hugs, positive thoughts and prayers always available

3 year old grandson started preschool this morning - hard to think of him as being old enough to go off independently
place that professor stands to give lecture
awwww quite a milestone, teach!
tyvm teach
really the breginning of many milestones to come
yvw
indeed. Before you know it he gives you lip and wears his pants' cross on his knees.
Hard to think of them entering the big wide world at 3 yo wvteach
I had a Thanksgiving discussion with my 6 y.o. granddaughter yesterday. She wants to eat turkey, but not if the turkey is killed
he loves being with other kids (like when we wre at the playground) so I think he will enjoy the socialization - his older sister went to the same preschool and they seem to be real caring
hmzzzz and you asked her how to eat it when it was not killed?
phantom: triffid
I told her if we don't kill the turkey and it it she would have to have tofu and quinoa for T'giving
good point
Off to make coffee, bbl
what did she say to that, bichon?
ok Chrissie, sus
She said she didn't like to eat tofu and quinoa.
hehehe... sweet.
fireworks
yayyyy flosey! good job. How was the babble meet?
congrats flosey
it was great sprite - nice to meet crossy, mrs. crossy and joso - have you seen the pic in FB?
hint for the 9/10 pls
where is it on FB
no, I haven't, sorry. Did you post it on the babble page? Or on your own?
zambie were you at the meet up?
RE 9/10 - compound word

I'll be home in time tomorrow to see you all as Flosey, once again
It's from the bottom re?

oh I found it! Oh it is lovely... what a sweet sweet picture! Of you three, lol... Call me schizofrenic, because I clearly see a joso and a crossy :)
yw :)
flosey, you are positively beautiful.
as you pictured them in your mind, Sprite?
you are, flosey. Crossy, I had seen earlier on a pic. And joso, yes, pretty much, except for the beard.
you are sweet, Sprite
how do i get o babble group on FB?
babble community and then you have to ask to be part of it
Anyone seen Molly lately?
I don't know wv, my daughter put me in there but I don't know my way around
teach, not sure if it works, but try this one: http://tinyurl.com/n4jp53l
*gr4* not seen Molly around for a while. Guess she will be eating crow in stead of turkey.
thanks for the biggie clues, btw.
Back. I have to say I like Molly. We all make mistakes and have misunderstandings. Come back Molly and laugh about it. I'll share my brandy :)
:) Well spoken, Chrissie. My jibe was meant in good sport, not nasty. But I guess it can be taken that way.
Hello, everybody. Sprite, I just laugh so much at that "dictionary" you have in your profile text! Some of those words would be useful.
hi Volta! It is such fun compiling it! Yes, some words really should be part of the official language.
No one could ever think you were being nasty sprite, I knew you were just funning
was just thinking about a new one for today's grid: in5tr4 - when you are so restless you cannot sit still inside
thanks Chrissie. I'd never want to hurt someone's feelings. Am just rather flippant, I fear ;)
I particularly like "menslide". I could do with a few more of those happening ;-)
ah yes! Great one, that. Can't wait to see one.
Who gave us "hangry" last week? - I've used it and passed it on already
I guess in this kind of environment, it would be more of a manvalanche.
Sprite, I don't believe you have a 'nasty' bone in your body - yes, we all say or do things, sometimes without thinking through how they appear, it's a shame to see bad feelings created in Babble, it's such a friendly and helpful group
I believe that was hurshy. Brilliant word.
thanks flosey. Yeah, and babble has weathered a couple of storms already. The babble community as a whole is rather stable, thank God.
nice one, Volta :)
no, it wasn't hurshy, it was carleekat.
hangry is a regular word in our household, it describes me to a T when my blood sugar is low
bye for now, Flosey will be back tomorrow
It's funny here - in a nice way - it seems a little more like a small town than a web forum.
poor husband, he has to feed me every couple of hours or I turn into a wildebeast
hi mael :) I love the word. It is so apt.
Bye flosey
bye flosey, have a good journey home *hug*
hi sprite! how are you?
true, Volta. In the right sense. I think you are right.
am good, mael. Working incredibly hard in therapy but getting results, so it isn't too bad. And how are you?
I'm good, starting to freak out about having a baby in April. It seems to far away and so close at the same time :)
Congratulations mael ;)
ooooo exciting! Oh yeah, and a little later you will feel like you have always been pregnant and it will never end... and then all of a sudden it is almost time and you think of a thousand things you'd wanted to do before giving birth...
thanks chrissie! It's really exciting and terrifying!
haha, I'm halfway through and it already feels like forever
And when the bump starts getting big, and you think about how it has to enter the world, then you'll really freak!
you'll be fine. It comes naturally. Have faith in yourself and in your baby :)
Mael, I thought being pregnant was a lot like being possessed....never in total control. Amazed I did it 3 times. But thought childbirth itself was fairly easy...I've had migraines that hurt more.
what do you mean, Chrissie? I've always heard a stork shows up on your due date
argh yes, Chrissie. And then near the end you think: "I don't care how big it is, it goes OUT!"
lol
you mean babies don't come out of the kale?
you find them under mushrooms in the woods
ah! Of course, mushrooms. Should have known.
and speaking of hangry. You ain't seen hangry until you meet a starving pregnant woman
but that about the stork is true. Only, when my girl was born, on Feb 3, it was so cold the stork couldn't make it. Had to wait for hours until the penguin waggled in.
oh mael, too true :) Hormones and low blood sugar... never a good combination.
Poor mael, or is it poor mael's hubby?
hahaha sprite, hopefully by end of March/beginning of April it'll be pleasant stork weather. Though, knowing Boston, we could have a freak snowstorm that day
As an unplanned baby, I have always been told that the first eighteen years of my life were making up for it, and the other six have just been bonus time ;-)
poor my hubby, I just stomp around and glare at people
awwww that is so sweet, Volta!
Love the idea of a penguin delivery :D
and my one major craving has been fr5/16 :)
they're slow though, Chrissie :)
ohhhh bad craving! First pregnancy, mine was apples.
Smiths square crisps
How many children do you have, Sprite? I can't imagine being pregnant. In this day and age it feels so natural. Can't they just, you know, laser the baby out?
apples! if only! though now that clementines are in season I'm eating those like they're going out of style
oh and both pregnancies... all I could see and all I bought was orange clothing! It was so bad that I had to ask my husband and my friends to stop me from buying more orange clothes.
I have 2, Volta. A boy of 17 and a girl of 15 now. Yeah, wouldn't that be nice. Having a baby is quite a job. But worth it.
hahahahah, orange clothes, that is so weird and awesome. But I love orange, too, so I might not have minded!
thnx flossey for the URL - got to see the picture - would love to meet some of these "names" that we see every day in the chog
I'll take your word for it ;-) a long way off for me though, I think
I looked like a whole bhagwan sect all by myself
glad it worked, teach :)
yeah Volta... be young first :D and enjoy. Because once you start, they take over your whole life for a while.
Hope someone posts the pics on here, don't do facebook
Chrissie, I can put it on Flickr for a few moments, for you. Will take it down after you have seen it, since it isn't my picture to share. Ok?
Thanks sprite
ok, click my profile, first picture is IT :)
Seen it :)
great :) Anyone else, before I take it down again?
Such big butch Canadians (not flosey!)
isn't flosey beautiful? Such great cheekbones and such a sweet smile.
lol indeed, she is so tiny between those two hunks.
It's a lovely picture, looks like they are her protectors
howdy again my friends:)
yes... nothing can happen to her between those two.
Speak of the bear :)
Speaking of hunks...Afternoon, Mr. Hair.
hiya crossy! I took the liberty to put up your lovely picture of the three of you on my Flickr for a few minutes, so that the non-FB people could see it too. Hope you don't mind.
and feel free to share that picture in anyways you wish
((sprite))
i sign over copyright of it to all my babble friends to use as they see fit(except in porno adverts)
lol
I love the picture. Have saved it on my hd. How did you enjoy the meet, crossy? And did Elegant enjoy it too?
in that case, I will put it back on Flickr again.
my beloved is a shy person but had a good time
since my flickr is not working correctly, sprite, that would be helpful
It's so interesting to see the faces behind the people. Generally I've just pictured you all as your icons.
am glad she enjoyed herself, crossy. Ok, it is back on, with another caption now.
my flicker has been stuck for years showing picture of a family where the person in question uses the name "crosshare" and not crosshair" as i do
in my case, you would be correct, Volta :D
I saw today in the New York Times that a "Olympic hockey war" was brewing between the US and Canada.
how absolutely frustrating, crossy.
all i can say, bichon is "bring it on" :))
us canuck like nothing better than a good hocky runble on ice
I don't see how the US would win
tee hee, Sprite :-D in my case too...hmmm
rumble
nah, don't believe you are grey and nondescript... we will see once you become pro ;)
runble = fighting while running away
yes, volta.you must pay the 11 dollars and become pro! i think i went pro after just 3 days lol

we were very lucky with that picture, sprite.my beloved has a green thumb when it comes to cameras and even that was taken with an i phone 4 s, it came out perfect with the first shot.she took a second on for just in case, but we loved the first one so much, that is what i posted
What, and shatter the beautiful illusion of my icon? ;-)
best 11 dollars i ever spent
it is awesome, crossy. I just said to the others how beautiful flosey is. And you two men.... mmmmmm :)

hiya jmc :) My pleasure! Crossy said it was ok. For those who don't do FB.
yvw bichon, and sorry for the distasteful clue.
np, Sprite
clueing it is fine sprite...USING it is the grievous thing!
my brain refused to come up with a better one. And just for the record, I couldn't care less what colour someone's skin is.
Babble is truly colour blind, race, creed, hair colour, lol
I'm a ginger!,
thank God it is. All kinds are welcome here.
I cannot think of any way around it on that word!
ooooo nice, ginger!
oh, now I know! R + first 4 letters of a riddle, ****ma

Woowhoo...a free clue! Hello zoozzoom!
Hi there :-)
Final word big cat, and finished!
Congrats, Chrissie!
WooT WooT WooT chrissiedee!!
Hey guys, has anyone seen Molly around?
ty, ty
No, miss her dry humour :(
Miss her calling me wooty!
Not for a while now no...I understand she has accused two babblers being the same person..and that has upset a few people here with things she has been saying in her profile...so she might be hanging low for a while...not sure really.
Wow, wasn't aware of that...well I miss her...
There is a photo of said babblers on sprite's flicker. They grow them big and hairy in Canada - great picture guys
That might not be the reason why, Molly, has not been chatting..just what i think the reason may be.
Ahh, I do recall a cryptic post by crossy...and they could be brothers!! LOL
I made Molly an offer she couldn't refuse before, but she did refuse it :(
Well i never turn down chocolate...if thats what is being offered :-)
It's just sad when this usually jovial and supportive group has an upset. If someone says something I don't like...I lurk..
Chocolate, did I hear chocolate??!!
Will get chocolate for you zooz :)
Teehee..hands off, Jilly, It is mine ALL mine hahaha
*whine*
wine?
Oh ok....i will share it...one square for you....two for me....one square for you....two for me....fair?
Miss Molly has put others offside before this current incident. As well as those constant nasty remarks and icons she puts up every other day. She is the reason I don't chat as much anymore and invariably hide the 'chat'. That being said - good morning to you all!
Hey, I'll live with 1/3!!
...a nd no thanks - too early for chocolate
Hi there lynxxx!
Hello, Lynxxx!
<----believes it is NEVER too early for chocolate
Hi lynx, sorry to hear you were put off the chat, but glad to see you now
Actually..i would share it half & half...i am very fair when it comes to sharing :-)
Interesting, she was on the "online" a moment ago, now not...oh well..
Except for lindor balls, don't share them
I do have to admit a few ruffled feathers at times, but I am fairly good about blowing things off
LOVE lindor balls!
ooooh they are delish...Chrissie.
any truffle like creation infact!
Better than any other guilty pleasure
Well i love chatting to you, Lynxxx, Or anyone for that matter....not that i am very good at chatting...and i do talk some crap most of the time..lol
No you don't zooz :)
Belgian chocolates are my faves..although they are pricey & very fattening.
Hey I don't come here for 'deep' conversation Zooz...its for fun and relaxation. You suit me perfectly
Not that i will ever get fat...i can eat anything and never put weight on.
((Lynxxx))
Used to be like that zooz
Not so much nowadays
((group hug)) I like having fun in the chog and a good laugh-but not at anyone's expense!
<---envious of zoozzooms ability to not gain weight. I fight to keep it off daily!
Me too, I like like the light hearted banter, diverse clues and amazing support when needed. Still love it all as a lurker on days when I don't feel like chatting
I hear many people whom struggle with their weight..i do feel guilty sometimes.
Wel untill the next chunk of chocolate anyway :-)
Calling it a night now. Have fun all, see you tomorrow.
LOL...well, since I lsot 81 pounds 3 years ago, I am very diligent now. I can enjoy myself even weekly, but have to get back on program. I don't allow anymore than 3-4 pounds to creep on
Sweet dreams, Chrissie :-)
ni5/10s chrissiedee..sweet sleep!
bye Chrissie
Well done for all that weight loss, Jilly, That is an acheivement.
Congrats Jilly! what program/diet did you do
Took a year. I do smile at Molly's chiding me about my lemon water, but I will not go back!
I do not understand what that re9/10 means at all, just saying
4 sessions of HCG injections, now just watching carbs and calories
Sorry to break in, but congratulations, Jillyjill! If losing weight is the 'easy' part, keeping it off is definitely the hard part.
...and a LOYT of willpower - well done you
Me either lynnxxx...guessing it's a compound
Just at the moment it is ignited.
Hi volta..TY!
ignition from the 1970's perhaps ;)
Yes i have heard keeping weight off is the hard part..only as you are in it for the long haul i take it.
Hello, Volta.
Yes, I spent a good part of my life losing and gaining...vowed not to do that this time. Too old...
I used to be a pretty chubby kid (boarding school diet!) but I'm grateful that I was able to change my eating habits early. Just have to deal with the hourly steak cravings, obviously.
LOL...mine is bread...
I think if their are no health issues surrounding your weight and you feel happy within yourself on how you are..then why diet.
I love bread too..i eat it everyday.
there*
ah Zooz - thats what all the chubby people say but it gets away from them - and then they age and it gets worse and all these health issues start happening ( yes, I am overweight)
Yes good point, Lynxxx.
Well, at 216# (98kg) I was so at risk for diabetes...and so over my BMI...I would love to be 10 # lighter than I am...but it's not going to happen
...a couple of kids and a work career sitting down for many hours and bad eating...boom
An inactive lifestyle is the danger I think, Lynxxx. It's impossible because in most jobs, that's the kind of thing that's impossible to get away from, especially if you don't necessarily have time to yourself to work out.
I certainly hope one of these days they can figure out why some people put it on and others cannot
I agree Volta.
Well i am off to bed with a book...I do hope to see you, Lynxxx, Jilly & Volta again soon...happy babbling...byee!
sweet dreams Zooz
Yes, Jilly it amazes me on how much i can eat and not put on anything...i am the same weight i was when i was 19 and i am 49 now..lol.....*poof*
Sweet sleeps zoozzoom! Nice chatting with you!
I must be off for a bit - see you later
SEe you later lynxxx!
<------------!!FW!!...last word was the field of wheat
Is anyone on? Had something really strange just happen....
Do tell, Jilly!
I got my fireworks, then when I clicked the display off, it said I was missing a c4 word. I re-entered all c words, and one ce caused a new FW display??
And hello mimi cat!
Truly weird...computers. Hello, my dear. I was reading the chog and I'm in the same "weight boat" with you guys. Just started taking Garcinia Cambogia which is made from the Tamarind fruit. Supposed to really get the weight off without side effects. Been on it for 3 weeks so far and not noticing anything. Will let you know what happens.
hello everyone!
((Rows))
i guess i should get started on today's puzzle
hi Mimi :)
i'm now fb friends with Jillyjill! and i added you, Mimi

I'm about ready to quit. If I get halfway, I consider myself lucky...almost there.

Glad you guys got to touch base with our newbie, Volta...she's an excellent addition to the group!
haha it is pretty funny we're both from SLO county
So yes dear mimi, you need to get on FB with us!
That she is!
she does :P
but i won't pressure
It is, you are a few years (LOL) younger. I left in 1977.
haha yeah
OK---so do I enter Babble on my Facebook search?
Babble Community
But I love the area...
i left Paso in 2007
Good afternoon, all!
Babble Community mimi
Trentsnana!! Nice to see you!!
You, too!
i like the area okay, but it's too boring for me to live in anymore it hink
i think*
Still in Montana, right?
there's just not much to do
Oh ya. Went to Billings today, Christmas shopping.
Going to try to get to Michigan at Christmas, depending on the roads.
Ahh...How come not Bozo?
House will go on the market in the spring.
Good, I knwo you miss the family
Well, Billings is an hour away, Bozo two.
hi folks
And rows...SLO too $$
how far is billings from you (and dawg), jilly?
And Paso Robles has changed so much! We used to go to a resort called Rest Haven near Paso, suppose it was gone long before you were there
Going to Chico this winter?
Hi everybody. 😄
I'd like to get there one more time before we leave.
oh yeah, i haven't heard of that
Hi Soodle
hi, soodle
at least i was around before the new library went in
so i got to experience the old Carnegie Hall library
7 hours for me, Dawg..probably another 1-2, depending on route
Hi soodle
now it's just a city relic and has asbestos so they can't tear it down... blessing in disguise i think
Wow - you are 7 hours from Billings? Where do you usually go? Missoula? Butte?
Not sure we will get to go this spring, MIGHT do it enroute to WY to see hubby's mom
Missoula!
Just an hour south of Missoula
OK---I found it and added Jilly but can't find you, Rows.
Great pic on FB of a Babble meet yesterday, if anybody's not seen it.
Wow - you are a long way from me - lol
I sent you a friend request!
Soodle's here!! Let the party begin!!
And harpjane also lives where I do
We need a Babble meet!
*Passes party hats and liquor out*
Somewhere in the middle, of course.
Hey MimiðŸ»ðŸ·
LOL, maybe Butte...
Stats for the 8, please...
hey Soodle :)
Mimi, how would I find you on FB?
le7/8 combo le8/45 (pl of the 7)
TY
butte's 7+ hours from calgary
Aloy will be here at the end of this month and moonwoof will be back so we're getting together....wanna drive down, Jilly?
But, hey, if you guys have a meet in Calgary...I'm THERE!
sent you a message on fb mimi
LOL...my boss is whining about me taking the two weeks off at Christmas to go to my son's graduation...not a likely chance!
actually i had already sent one :P
there is another babbler from calgary, mimi - i think her name is helensgirlkid - tried to get her to come for coffee, but she was non-committal about it
I'm hoping to meet up some east coasters while we're out there in december
Where is your son graduating from, Jilly?
when we played tangleword, i met up with some calgary and british columbia players, that was nice :)
Looks like Joso, flosey and crossy had a grand time at their meetup
OK---I'm totally useless on FB--not seeing message or friend request, Rows.
((mimi) nice to have another way to connect with you!!
there should be red numbers at the top of your screen
click on them and see what they show you
:)
I got yours!...did you find our community?
ah yes, I see you did
OK--got Jilly's...still don't see you, Rows...what name are you using? I only had 1 red number from Jilly accepting my friend request.
hi everyone. just stopping in for a short break
fon't want to seem rude
don't rather
Hiya, Bugs!
hi bugs
I just suggested Rows as a friend for you Mimi
oh, i have something really cool to show you guys
I just want to say I think Babble meetups are the best
http://tinyurl.com/k7j9zrw
this is my class today
a friend of mine from the States collected donations of books to send to us in Honduras
((bugsaw)) ♫♫ Hail Hail the gangs all her! ♫♫

<~~ Reallywants to attend a Babble meet! Stomping foot!
Ohhhh! What a bunch of cutie pies!!!
yes, they are :)
AWwwhhhh...what cuties!
Rows, found you, dear!
kinda hard to not be cute when you're 3 or 4
Beautiful!
yay!
Love your first rule. "Be kind."
and Soodle I really want to get to your part of the world so you and I will meet for sure sometime. It is on my bucket list and my sister is getting interested in going with me
Oh dear soodle...I promise...WILL come out to Ireland before we're both done in!
i've seen a few that age that were less than darling
love the picture Rows. you are so lucky to work with that age group
Soodle, I really want to come to Ireland and I know Crossy and his wife are planning a trip...maybe we can meet up there! And now Jilly can join us!
Satisfied smile!!!!
it's work, but it's definitely rewarding
Jilly - where is your son graduating from?
I think I told you Soodle, that a nursing buddy of mine is marrying a celt and moving to Dublin?
Old Dominion University, but then we are all heading to south east of Boston through Christmas
You did, Jilly! How are her plans coming along?
haha, i was thinking fortier should be a word... like if i turn forty and then you do later, i'm fortier than you are
Nice. My son graduated from Harvard a few years back. Love, love, love Boston!
Turned in her notice, will be there by the new Year
Yep..the kids are cute, Rows, but YOU are absolutely ADORABLE!
haha
LOL rows!
they're definitely cuter than i am :P
Ooh, the graduation of a son or daughter is a very special time!
The 40 thing is like being a little vs. a lot pregnant, Rows...there IS a difference! And, no, you are every bit as cute and I won't hear another word about it!
lol
Just hoping for no noreasters when we are out there driving!!
When do you leave, Jilly? Are you driving from MT?
<----celebrated the 15th anniversary of my 40th...
congrats :)
You know what Rose? I wouldn't mind being fortier than I am right now. :-/
i'm about to celebrate my 30th next month
Actually, Rows, you look enough like me to be my daughter!
hello all
haha, figures
No, original plans were to stay in Norfolk VA, rent a house and youngest come down on train from MA. He changed jobs and couldn't swing time off...so we are going there
Hello TO, how are you today?
fine and you?
So, flying out to the coast, then. We will be driving to Michigan on the 20th. Hoping for good roads.
Hi TO :-)
Hi, TO!!
hey soods
any clues for the le 7 word, please?
hi mimi
It's what you speak from...
hey TO
commonly in churches...like an ambo
aw hi rows
Where someone who is speaking would stand...in front of...
better clue trentsnana
thanks Jilly. After I got past louth it was all good
trent that was a good clue :) thanks

le 7, what a prof might speak from
hi, owl! missed you at first, was putting together a couple of ziti lasagnas
i'm going to take a little break because my eyes are just not seeing more words atm
It has been delightful seeing everyone here today...what a treat!! Gotta go make sure I don't have work waiting. I'll try to remember to check the community FB...I'm really BAD about that stuff. Have a good rest of today and hugs all around!
going to look at more jobs for a bit
i'll still be around, ish
except terrier andrelics
i'll bug you about it Mimi ;)
hugs to you too!
You just keep me in line, Rows!
hey welk! i had a ball dancing in MD yesterday, in a big old german beer hall.
I must get back to grant writing too. Happy Babbling everyone
Better get busy on dinner. Talk to you all soon!
where in md?
See you later trentsnana!
bye, bugs, trents
good evening!
Hi phandmd!
how are you, Jilly?
we had a busy day - couple of buckets of balls at the driving range, flu shots, quick run to the supermarket, and now cooking
BTW, belated chog note...since I whine so often.... I HAD A GREAT DAY AT WORK!!
That's great, Jilly. What made it so great?
oh - and for those who are planning to get your flu shot - REALLY sit down and wait for 15 minutes after your injection. we saw a young man take a nose dive about 10 min after he had his injection
No glitches today, and new boss less prickly
^5 jilly!! i'm going to have a great day at work tomorrow - i can tell already :)
yay, for less prickly Boss!
She just passed her 6 month probation...think now she's finding out the honeymoon is over
Quick break....brb
may I have a clue for the FO 6/27?
If you are a ne4, you will see a word describing you on the bottom row. If you are not you won't see it.
Hi all!
the word describes your whole ilk, but if you aren't one, you will see another word.
Hi Sue.
Hi Kap! How have you been?
Been OK.
You?
Not bad. Snowing here today, which does not thrill me.
Yuck. Where?
lol i saw it right away kaplan
Northern Illinois
Then you are one. Everyone else sees something different.
Oh- yeah, it would snow there.
Hi kaplan, uusue and harp
Hi hi and hi.
Hi jill and jane!
Does anyone here have the FO 6/27?
Not I, phan
i Have the 33.
fo6/27=go ***th and conquer+***es of passage
thanks
Thank you, Jilly. :)
forrites
close haro
what do the 9 and 10 start with?
*harp
oops,
re
re, Harpjane
lol i just saw what i did.....
re9/10...combo word
now I will give my great clue for the 9 and 10. to remove someone from your employ wearing Mad Men era clothing.
they build on re 5/10...
That is a great clue!
lol...
got it! thanks
OMG ia m so dense...
It;s late enough in the day for it. I got the words by accident this morning but felt it was too early to give the clue.
nbs
Got them, thanks kap!
fire
You could also be wearing wingtips and pearls.
crap, i better quit before I get sent to the pb
Harp, you better stop that!
WHERE LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE
Um, hi, TO...
someone having a breakdown?
it's karma telling me to go back to work....
well harp is yelling fi4; I'll bet she also cries wolf
Your carma ran over my dogma.
Ah, I see. Pretty cute, actually :-)
Karma. Anyway, I always like that line.
Well, heading out to figure out dinner... *poof*
bah i would call you all slow but I am the one who cannot get the 9/10
dinner time for me; bbl
to get rid of someone in your employ while wearing dated clothing from another era. Do I have to say it again?
I'm coming in there...
one,
two
I think the 9/10 actually have to do with rocket propulsion although that is probably no help whatsoever
three!
please don't. let me cogitate.
You're right sue but mine is cuter.
they build on re 5/10
Yours is definitely cuter, kap.
i need to look for that one first then ty
you can re9, but you can't rehi4, apparently.
97 left? I am not doing so great.
Not in this grid, anyway
i am not feeling well, need only 45 but am taking a break
Take care of yourself, TO!
thanks, sue.
I thought I had a client at 6 but I must have been wrong.
Better go have dinner.
i met a physicist yesterday - a rocket scientist, sue. and a great dancer!
Cool!
he is cute, if a grown man can be cute.
I think so. Spunds like an interesting guy.
*sounds. Silly fingers.
I am so thankful for a husband that cooks dinner on a nightly basis. :) Feeling full!
that is lovely, phan.
hi all
hi joso
Good morning all :)
hi TO, liz
Hi Joso - hope you enjoyed the babble meet. Lovely photo (and icon) :)
:) it was great, an interesting mix of people
It's always good to be able to put faces to names.
it was weird in that regard, i envision people even if I haven't seen them. I thought crossy would look like the tilly hat guy, yet he was younger and a little plumper, but very quickly you recognize a familiar personality. His wife came too, they are very happy with each other, obviously in love, and protective of each other. Flosey however was much as I expected, older, trim, and well but together, every inch a lady. Quiet, but with an inner strength.
That's really interesting. I like what you say about personality - I think (hope) that most people, who chat here, give a little bit of themselves! Of course, we know some people are skilled at creating a different persona but I like to think that they're in the minority. Flosey looks as I expected! I'd seen pics of Crossy before and you, strangely, remind me strongly of a younger version of my cousin's husband, who also lives in Toronto!
your poor cousin
There's nothing wrong with looking like you or my cousin's hubby. You look very nice - a warm person.
hehehe, fishing for complements can pay big dividends
:)
:)
You didn't need to fish for that!
it was such a pleasure to see you, crossy and flosey (who looked radiant) on fb, joso.
we left the restaurant into a blustery day with on and off rain, I was half afraid flosey would blow away. The meeting place was near her, and she said she could easily walk home, so I thought it would be 2 or 3 blocks away, but i offered her a ride anyway (almost didn't as my car is such a mess). Glad i did, it turned out to be something like 10 or 15 blocks away, if I hadn't offered I'm sure she would have marched on out without further complaint. And she was very gracious about my messy car, told me it made her feel at home as that is hor her hubby keeps his truck, lol
lol - that was a nice thing of you to have done, Joso. I'm sure she really appreciated it and it does not surprise me that she's a gracious lady :)
10 left!
na, basic civility, I'm sure crossy would have offered if I hadden't
True but he had quite a journey back home too.
that is a nice story, a nice memory
Not sure how far he lives from Toronto.
about 3000 miles, the other end of Canada
That's a long journey and it's great that he and his wife made the trip!
I only drove her to her son's place. much closer
No - Crossy, not Flosey! I know where Flosey lives. I was almost there in July!
ah, he, no crossy lives about 2 hours outside of toronto
That's still a fair distance.
hello all.
he is in what Torontonians call cottage country, may have a cottage in the area and drive up for weekends.
Hi TO - saw earlier that you weren't feeling too good - hope you're feeling better now :)
good water sports in the summer, and skiing in the winter
hi liz! thinking of going out to get something for it
hi TO, how's life
So glad not to have snow any more, Joso.
oh it is, it is !
good for you liz, I am much happier with true seasons, so I guess we are both in the right places.
i think i need to go to the drug store before i get too comfortable. tomorrow will be extremely cold and blustery, with snow, so now is better i think.
Feel better if I don't see you before I leave.
thank,s liz. the way i am babbling, i'll be here. :)
sounds like your sensible self knows what should be done, but your self indulgent side need talking into it TO, lol
I do miss seasons, Joso, though there is some difference here but I don't miss scraping ice off my car in the morning and the coldness!
:) peace out
:)
evening again my friends:)
hey crossy
Fireworks :)
Hi Crossy :)
congrat liz
thanks
i am actually a bit ashamed.i was unaware that flosey never had a ride set up for herself and the topic never entered our conversation over the meal. ty joso on my behalf for see our lady home
seeing
howdy,liz
why ashamed, I'm sure you would have offered too, I was just first out to the lot with her.
That'd be the nature of flosey! But as I said, you had quite a journey home too! I'm just really happy that you all got to meet up.
yes,i had to find a bathroom for my beloved
I'm off out for a walk. Good to catch up. Enjoy your evenings :)
good plan for a long trip :)
tc,liz
we have some wicked snow squalls going on here atm
enjoy the walk, you have dogs don't you liz
i see by your post that you envisioned me as a older tilly hat fella lol.
but yes,i am young yet.i am just coming up to the big 5-0
hi, babblers
howdy,welki:)
you're just a kid, crossy :)
:P
yes, I'm sure you had some picture of me that was in error too.
yes, it is interesting how we perceive people when we only have words to use as a guideline
yea, the beard hasn't even gone grey yet.
or when we only have a picture as a guide but no words
i have a bit of grey in there.the mr and the boy made sure of that:)
mrs
and though i still have all my hair,it is getting very, very thin in places lol.bits of scalp showing through here and there but artfully covered up:)
that, was expected, recognizing the personality after a couple of sentences was the odd, kind of deja vu thing
it is interesting how a personae can be reflected in real life.i type as i am so making the connexion is easy.i am a taurus after all.i will tell you my entire life in ten minutes over coffee
ok crossy have it your way, you're a wreak, falling apart at the seams, 3 steps from the grave.
did not hurt that after a mere 30 seconds in the seat i was asking where the bacon was;)
hehehehe
lol,no,i like like my body at 50 and my mind at 25 ty.while a 6 pack of rock hard abs would not hurt,i can make do
finished
congrats phand
was going to delve into the wonders of sf/fantasy books with you more, but i did not want the ladies eyes glazing over.:) my beloved is more into true crime
yaa for phand!!
speaking of which, did your paperback survive the trauma of the tea?
next time crossy, I think we will be regulars at any Toronto zone babble meets.
i hope to set up one here in cottage country with you and carlee and perhaps mlfan.i will give you a proper crossy brunch
indiajan is also local
survived enough to finish, not in any great shape tough, fortunately not a great book, just a time passer.
and i think we have another in T.O but the name escapes me
a proper lunch must have more than just bacon crossy, can you handle that?
i had that happen to me and the problem was it was and amazing book.was called "down to The Sunless Sea" and it is by David Graham so i put paper towell teen all the pages and nursed it back to health so i could finish
i think i will offer more than just 3 kinds of bacon
twwen
tween**
i am all thumbs tonight
if you can find a copy, joso,i highy recommend it
hi everyone! Hi Crossy!
hi jen
hi joso!
i gave my copy to my brother but can still remember word for word the bit of the text on the cover that first riveted me to buy it from a local used book shoppe "we commend all passengers and crew into the merciful arms of almighty god on this night of armageddon" message ends. a very powerful book
howdy jen
i will practice up on my egss benny just for you, joso
the book is about what happens to all the planes in transit if nuclear war happens.was most interesting
sounds good, love after the holocaust stories.
it's that aspect that I most enjoy about the walking dead series
well, this one is during and in an entirely new perspective
imagine you,a pilot with 600 souls on board, trying to find a place to land as all the big cities of the planet vanish in a boiling cauldron of radiactivity
radioactivity
yes, just the thing, an exploration of a new idea, what I like about sci fi
sadly it is out of print.so i hoghly recommend www.biblio.com
good prices fast dlivery world wider
damn typos
fast delivery world wide*
what a great site, thanks crossy
it is amazing.most of the time the delivery cost matches the cost of the book itself but still a great site
and you can set the search parameters to suit your needs or your budget
a good readable copy can usuall be had for next to nothing
here it seems to cost 4-6 dollars to deliver most soft covers
sorry for interrupting but can i have the clues for the 9 and the 10?
re 9 something from the past + flames and plural for the 10
re9, old style or rocket type + flame
thanks, never heard of that
hi and thank you
and gone again
hello all....are ho 5/22 and ho 6/36 related?
hello peeps
yes singular and plural
hi TO and herin and erryone
hi dan o
ty
Hello again babbleworld!
coincidence! I just popped back in to.
too.
hi joiners
Hello again TO
i took my one wool sweater out today and it would seem the moths enjoyed it.
Oh darn...that's too bad TO
i only wore it about three times. last time to babble meetup.
major bummer on the sweater.
what i don't understand is i never see any moths
We use cedar here.
i am going to check the other sweaters as well. apparently they have mutated and enjoy acrylic as well
*fingers crossed*
:(
small problem, i know.
Not really, I downsized my wardrobe three years ago...each one matters to me...
i try to think "first world problem". A dance friend told us that she cannot reach her family in the Phillipines yet. now THAT is a problem
hey guys, i'm back to check this thing out one more time
I have to agree on that perspective. I remember when that big tsunami hit in 1996, my friends son was there and it tookseveral days before she heard from him.
Hi there again rows
hi rows to7 pls?
you are specifically asking me? i don't have it yet
no
to7, chewy candy, plural
nm just need two re n5 to finish
ooh i want some of those right now
chocolate would be really good right now
re5/14 and the subsequent 5/10
i tried a new product, marie calendar indicidual cakes. of course i ate the both of them
re 5/14 - to take back
re5, rule
re5 #2, phands clue
re 4/10 - Something the kidneys produce it helps control blood pressure.
that doesn't count TO.. pretend you have a split personality :D
ha, now i'm more stumped than i already was
of course that is re 5/10
but that's okay, i wasn't even the one asking for the clue
well. my decorating dance commitee assignment is to wrap packages. this one was the pefect size and of course had to be emptied.
Perfectly logical to me!
what are you confused about, Rows?
i knew you would understand, jilly
rows, do you have the re5/15 above it? Just change the last vowel
was re5/14 clued? if it is the kidney thing i would have no idea

LOL That is a good way to be.
Oh, sorry. Will send positive thoughts to you.
'evening, babblers
Hey there, welki.
hi welki
you're leaving toronto? where to, joso?
no, just moving to a new home
oops - sorry. just realized it's a sore subject.
not a sore subject, just have alot of work to do and don't want to think about it just now.
May I please have a clue for ho6-27? Thanks
would go together with tar and feathering someone, you'd do this to them first
ho6, pig + bind
Thanks so much, welki and joso.
Wonder if that was ever done to anyone?
i'm sure :(
Welki, whenever you come on I always have to stop and think that you live in Canada and someone, oh, yes, it must be Westford I'm thinking of, who lives in RI, I believe.
i'm in canada, but originally from the states
If our government doesn't do something about the amount of money I spend on medicine, I may be moving to Canada......I hear it is less expensive there.
If I were younger, I would seriously consider it.
Sorry, I'm just babbling.
it's difficult to immigrate, either way (from us to canada or from canada to us) - and for sure, you have to be careful what you wish for
we
we've had discussions here before about health care and, even if you were able to come north, you'd have to do some serious research about what coverage you might actually have up here. each province's health care system is different as to what is covered and what is not
for instance, it's my understanding from speaking with crossy that medication like insulin is covered under provincial health care in ontario. here, in alberta, it isn't.
Oh, I see. I guess there are pros and cons to most everything, eh?
yeppers
most often you have to buy medicine until you are 65, then it is covered, but it normaly costs a lot less than us prices, provinces negotiate with drug companies to set prices for drugs.
And that is one of the meds I need. I'm in the "Gap" and have to pay the entire cost until I spend around $4,000 more this year and then January 1, I have $325.00 before they will pay anything. Oh well.
i wonder if medications are covered here in alberta once you reach 65 - i'm thinking not, since i see so many commercials for supplementary prescription coverage for seniors
we have a lot of people near the border crossing to buy their drugs here, we don't care but it is against us law.
need clue for the r word in second column.
nm got it. sorry
not sure what the rules are for alberta
i've never understood how you can bring a prescription across a border - doesn't the prescribing doctor have to belong to the medical board?
inro
oops sorry. had it anyway. off to pb.
lots of people bring prescriptions over the border it's cheaper
i dont believe it is against the law to buy drugs abroad from the u.s. i see adds for drugs from israel, thailand, and indonesia and phillipines.
i hate that the drugs are so expensive here. it is so wrong.
how would the pharmacy know the prescription is legitimate?
good question welki
it's on a prescription pad
uhm - you could print out a prescription with a word program, that's what my physician does
my son once ordered meds from somewhere in asia which were illegal, just to see if they would arrive. he paid something like 5 dollars for so upper and it arrived. he was shocked. he tossed them because he wouldnt trust that they were not just sugar cubes but still he was very suprised. that was over 15 years ago.
I'm not sure of the details welki, but I do know seniors are renting busses, coming up, and getting 6 month prescriptions filled.
you and crossy look related Joso
that's a good point also - how would you know the meds you're getting are 'what the doctor ordered'
