Hi Pugs and Rose
it was hard, pugs.
hello flosey
Hi every one of my peeps.
I knew it! too soon wasent it---how are you feeling
hey ya peach
Hi Peach
better now, had to take one of the fast release tablets. my FM played up something terrible.
darn red boxes
Hi again - sorry to read that the FM is playing up, Rose. You must be absolutely shattered after your first day back.
are you going tomorrow
Hi Liz, hugs
Hugs to you too, Pugs and to all :)
at about 1 1/2 hour point, i broke out in a sweat and my skin became so red. i felt horrible. physio tomorrow, then my second day the next day.
Hey Pugs - I've been doing Sprite's latest puzzle - of the doves.
have you got an easy day tomorrow after the physio?
be sure you tell them all that Rose--I still think its too soon
But I hope your work mates made you feel very welcome.
ah well, what can i do? workcover has to see me making the attempt. i'll pack some magnesium next time. i totally forgot this AM.
lolol, so welcome, they wouldn't let me leave. everyone kept coming up for a hug and a kiss. it was so nice.
Surely if there's stuff you're not able to do, they'll have to reconsider whether you're fit for work yet.
I was going to say I was sure that they welcomed you back - lol - it's obvious that you were missed.
at least they just started you out with 2 hours. Sounds like any more then that and you wouldnt had made it
how are you today Liz
yes, liz and pugs. and i see my doctor after my next little shift. we are going to have a deep and meaningful, i can tell you.
Fine - took our first real beach walk since I hurt my toe - it was great to be back there again.
be sure you do Rose
I bet you will, Rose ;)
so the toe is all h4 now
oh, nice, liz. so glad you are getting it all back together.
And I apologise for nagging you - I'm sure that everyone is doing that. I'll stop nagging now.
Yes - toe's at about 97% now. Also went back to the gym yesterday. Ther
s'okay, liz....
There's still crap around but either it'll all come to the end or we'll head to England first.
glad you can go back to the gym Liz--I know you were missing that
Well - not sure about that! I go and feel good for going. Can't say I love going though but I know it's doing me good!
Iam going to have to write Sprite to remind her sh4 got more then one friend--lol
LOL Pugs - hope she's having an amazing time with her friend.
She'll be back soon, I'm sure.
lol, pugs, i'm betting the computer hasn't been even turned on.
I do too---she and her friend were going to a spa yesterday
Seem to have come to a halt with 36 left! Resisting using the list for as long as possible!
I have the da 7/8, what's the other 7 pls?
Rose, did you get the flower pictures from Ruby
yes i did, they were beautiful.
wasent they--I had never seen some of those before

SPRITE! Hugs and have missed ya
*hugs pugs* Missed you too, my friend :) But had a marvellous visit with Cobi.
I was just going to write you today to remind you that you got more then one friend--lol did you have a great time
how was the spa
lolol :D Yes, we had a grand time together.
YAYAYAYAY!!!!! *doing happy dance* slowly....spritey...missed you babe
you really needed that
the spa was rotten. We left after one hour and went back home :( Wayyyy too big, too crowded and too commercial.
*hugs rose* Hello my darling, good to see you again too :)
thats too bad
what a pity, sprite. at least you know not to go back there.
yeah, never again. We know better spas, lol.
so has Cobi left now and we have you now-lol
Cobi just left for the train station, and I went straight upstairs to see if I could still catch you guys.
Rose went back to work today and didnt go well for her at all
oh my God rose... please tell me
blabber mouth, pugs...LOLOL
well I did give you a chance to tell--lol
hey, if you don't tell me yourself, pug needs to, silly rose! :)
just the FM exacerbated...
'just' the FM. Right. So... too much for the old body, rose, take a hint!
thats what I said--too much to soon
haha Rose, Sprite can read between the lines-lol
sweat poured off me, and my skin turned red. i can't feel the pain at all, but the FM let's me know.
so what are you gonna do in order to prevent this from happening again? Hm?
i forgot the magnesium this AM. have packed it already for next time.
*sigh* Ok, darling, lol. Word of advice: Stick with the 2 hours a week until you can do it while whistling with two fingers in your nose.
so... if we have my favorite bodypart plural pe5/12, why isn't wank valid?
did tim behave himself Sprite while your friend was there
I dont know sprite, I tried that too
he is being amazing, pugs. Helpful and upbeat and just all you could wish for.
mark it on the calender
kind of weird, isn't it pugs, that an ugly word like c*nt is valid while a rather innocent word like wank is not.
good for him! that made you feel good I bet
*giggles* You got it, rose!
in red...
yeah, it gives me hope that we all did the right things to bring him up as well as possible.
sounds like it sprite--right now he and you are just battling youth
puberty is a weird phase in life. Well, so far so good. My girl is in Spain now, with her friend and parents. Flew there by herself... I had a litter of kittens until she called that she made it there safely, pffffew.
roflol....poor sprite
I bet so---but Iam sure she is loving it
how long is she there for
letting go is hard, lol, rose. My husband brought her to Schiphol airport and made sure she was at the right gate. And the father of the friend was in Gerona when she landed. But still. She is only 16!
a week, pugs. Sunday till Friday. And then on Monday next she will go to England with school. Busy life they lead!
oh, you know kids... they think they are invincible and immortal.
its good they can get out to see the world though
oh yes, and I am proud as can be that she feels secure in herself that she can do stuff like this. She is lying on the beach now, in the warm sun, I bet. While we here have rain and fog and generally gloomy overcast weather.
I never had a chance to do any of that
as you should Sprite
brb, potty break
its rainy here too and we are to have rain up until first of next week
don't get me started on your folks, darling... ;) You deserve so much better than you got.
and there goes our rose, breaking another potty...
by being on here I kind of get to see the world through everyone's eyes
yes, that is true. Oh, did you like your new puzzle?
I did but havent done it yet
oh, it will be there forever, no hurry!
Liz, I think said she has either done it or started it
cool :D Should mail the link to the others as well, haven't gotten around to it yet.
back, for a bit. taking don out for his birthday dinner.
is it today, rose? Congratulations on your beloved!
is it today
yes, today, the 29th. he turned 60...lol
tell him Happy Birthday.please
and don says has your package arrived?
Happy Birthday to Don, happy Birthday to Don, Happy birthday dear Dohonnnnnnnn happy Birthday to Don!

later sprite, {{hugs}} flosey, and xoxox to my dear pugs.
me three, he4ing out.
good morning?
Hi ruby
hi dianne
How is your weather? We've had 3 or 4 days of off and on rain and cool temps. Much colder than it was in March
I'm afraid to look at the tomato plants which are probably moldering
it's over cast and muggy here.
how warm?
in the 70's
Ruby, are you a good cook?
humidity s about 100 percent but it's less than 50F
I used to be but now, don't do much.
So who cooks your dinner?
My specialty was gazpacho
I cook, but nothing fancy any more. Something for husband, cooked food for dogs and "whatever" for me
We used to entertain a lot, but no more
I didn't realize that you were a New Yorker. From which part?
We use to entertain quite a bit as well but some many of our friends have left Hong Kong so there aren't a lot of folks around/
You must have great food, though. Here, the restos are barely so-so
Born in upstate then moved to the Bronx, then Pennsylvania, New Jersey and then here.
I lived in Binghamton for a long time, but grew up in Queens
(very distinguished -- lol)
We have absolutely fantastic restaurants here and they are mostly expensive (the rents are so high).
are there dim sum places? or are they just in NY?
feals
And I knew that wasn't a word.
try it without the s
Dim sum place one nearly every street. Huge section in the froze food part of the supermarket.
that was my favorite Sun morning thing when I lived in Manhattan
We have a neighborhood place that quietly earned a Michelin star (it's a dumpy looking, tiny place). The food is great and for Hong Kong very reasonable.
you are very lucky!
Yes, we get take away from there about every ten days and for 4 dishes it coast about US $35.00
Sounds like heaven to me. Oriental food is sorely lacking here as there aren't enough Orientals to provide a demand. There is one half-way decent sushi place but no Vietnamese or Thai and the Chinese places are awful
You probably can't get the ingredients to make Chinese food at home (except for fried rice).
east
It is too hard for me and all the vegetables would have to be canned (which is what the use in the restos)
I have to remeber where I am typing - ugh
Did you find the k?
yes
stats, pls, I'm stumped
(also stumped on 60 other words, lol)
kn 4/9
80 words but no 7's, 8's, k, left u or lower left e. Hopeless!
Maybe later, when I come back, I'll have fresh eyes
take care Ruby
bye, always nice to see you
There's an 8 letter word in this grid. Hard to believe
Good morning
hi bichon, just started too
hi Annie
hello, ladies.
Hi ruby, you're back
Annie, I'm glad you're here. I am just putting together an envelop for Bobby and can't remember if I sent him the photo of me holding Rufie when he was a baby
Sorry to hear you don't have good Asian food in your area
Hah, you read the grid assiduously! lol
We have many restaurants on Main St. here in Middletown with great Asian food
The food here is really poor and I'm too tired and lazy to cook anything elaborate at home
When we first moved here from NYC in 1972, there was hardly an Asian restaurant in this area of CT. Things have changed
ruby, Im not sure. He has the envelopes on a shelf in his bookcase. He's getting dressed for work. Send it again if it is not too much trouble.
well then, bichon, they all came from brooklyn. all the good chinese restaurants are gone except for chinatown in brooklyn.
It is a nice photo of Rufe when he was small enough to hold on my lap. Now I could get on HIS lap.
In fact, to buy bagels you had to drive 15 miles to a bagel bakery.
ruby, send it along. How much does Rufie weigh?
There's a Chinatown in Brooklyn? I thought they all moved to Flushing and worked for the post office
youre bad, ruby. Yes, on Eighth Avenue in Brooklyn.
There are no Chinese restaurants. It's all take out. But, there's about 4 of them in Middletown alone. A city of 44,000
He must be about 80 lbs now and his torso is as long as mine. Otherwise, it's just a question of my legs being longer. lol
Rufie has grown. He is so handsome.
This agglomeration has about 125,000 people but I'll bet there aren't 50 Asiatics.
There was a wonderful Chinese restaurant in Bay Ridge but no longer.
He is a wonderful boy and very attached to his ma. If I am out of sight for more than 5 mins, he cries
There aren't many Asians living in Middletown, but Wesleyan has many Asian students [and Asian American]
At least there is finally a decent (not great) sushi resto, so I go there about once a month with my friend Catherine, when we go to the movies
My two are like that two. Always whining for me
There are many Russian restaurants where I live but I do not care for Russian food. My, how times have changed.
You'd think, as in our case, with two dogs they wouldn't be like wthat. Oh well, I guess I won't be travelling any time soon
Mine snuggle together except when they are snarling at each other
<-- loves Russian food, at least like they had in the Russian Tea Room and in my grandmother's kitchen
And we have Turkish restaurants which are pretty good.
I found da 7/8. Anyone want a hint
me, me, me.
I love Turkish restaurants.
yes, pls, as I have no 7's or 8
When I last lived in Manhattan, there was a good Turkish place on Columbus avenue
ruby, Even the Russian Tea Room isnt the same. I was there this summer (after it was redone) and was not impressed.
phantom: walrus
da 7/36 da + lustorous pl for the 8
That is sad, Annie, I used to love their borscht with meat dumplings
That's still good. In my mother's Russian kitchen the food was fab. It was Jewish style tho and that is what I like.
We also have too many Italian restaurants to even think of. And great barbecue
My family was from the Ukraine/Romania border and the cuisine reflected that
Maybe hers was, too, bland but delish. I was the only one in our very large family who liked her food.
My parents were from Ukraine.
They used to eat Mama Ligga, which is like polenta
and remember cholent. Call the cardiologist first tho.
Annie, did you get my clue?
no, bichon.
My mother was born in Dnepropetrovsk (formerly Ekaterinaslav) and father's family from a shtetl outside of Kiev named Kanotop
6:25
nor did I, bichon
I saw it, but couldn't find it duh me
Those names are a mouthful. My father came from outside Odessa and my mother was from Kiev.
My grandparents left the area for two different reasons.
I look at all the Ukrainian faces on the news and can't help thinking about pogroms and all my dead forebears
If you have a glowing sweat you have a *****
Yes, I think of them all the time. My great grandfather refused to come to the US because he said it was "tref" [unkosher]
my friend's grandson was supposed to come to NY to celebrate her birthday but they will not let him leave Ukraine. She is quite upset.
My grandmother's sisters were physicials and stayed after the revolution, only to be killed at BabyYar (forgive my horrible spelling of these names)
MD's
I don't understand why the Jews in Ukraine don't leave and go to Israel. Certainly a better econmy, to say the least
It is probably too lte. Did you read that the Jews in Donetsk were told to register?
My grandfather was sent to the US because he sowed too many wild oats. My grandmother was sent because she was the youngest daughter and the prettiest. All the suitors wanted to marry her and not her sisters
Yes, I couldn't believe it but then I am being naive. sp?
My s.i.l's family is Ukranian and there is definitely a lot of anti-Semitism under the surface
bichon, good reasons to send them off. Did your grandmother marry quickly when she came to the US?
After she met my grandfather.
People got married young in those age
That is a nice story, bichon. My father's parents left (separately) because of the pogroms in about 1903. But my mother's famiy left in 1910. Her father was a tailor and dancing instructor in the army. Father's mother became an actress in the Yiddish theater in Scranton where she met my grandfather, who was quite a roué!
*in those days
My great-grandfather owned a tavern. Can you believe that? Jews owing a bar.
I am waiting for the TV guy to come and install a new antenna so that \I can watch the World Cup and the Tour de France without lying in bed all day
My mother's family was wealthy and she was brought up by governesses but they were forced out of Kiev and everything was taken.
The irony of it. I married a German and our son really isn't into anything Jewish.
What stories we have! I am lucky that my grandmother gave me all the old photos before she died as I was her fave (probably because I liked her food)
bichon, don't you have a daughter also?
My son makes a big point of telling people that he's Jewish as his father isn't and his last name is Irish
Yes, she's the one with the Ukranian husband [born in the U.S.]. She is adopted
BTW, still didn't find the da7 and 8.....
da + sh 5
uh oh, doorbell
got it now, thanks bichon
ty for the da's
My grandson goes to a Jewish pre-school and definitely identifies with being Jewish
yw
bbl
neep
opps, my bad
Crossy ate too many peeps last week
and now it is time for Crossy's Lost Word of The day!! todays lost word is "sagittiferous " and it means to bear arrows and was in popular use from the 1650's until about the 1830's
I can't wait to use that in a sentence at work, Crossy.
there ya go!:)
may I get a clue (in life...) for the lowest R
since babble has been doing the same of late, I am going to find the most obscure words possible and share them with you all for a bit:)
I think it was either St Sebastian or Benjamin who was shot full of arrows, and called 'the patron saint of pin cushions"
rh 4/5
and pl
ah, ms. perlman.
thanks Crossy
st. sebastian. and lol re the pincushions
and now, so that I may go to work, a clue for the lowest E, please...
do not know Ms. Perlman, but I do know it is another serving of a evil little babblet
glad you liked it Temple
she was married to Danny DeVito
it is a bird.
it's a plane... no, it's Mozart!
:)
sorry, my tics are full swing this AM apparently
next time I see that particular feathered friend I must make note of that:)
stats?
on the E?
hello everybody :)
hi Foffle
hi foffle
hi temple owl
this looks like a stinker - where are the vowels?
stats on the lowest E.... anyone?
down to 107. found one clue but i still cannot find the da 7.
nm i just founf that.
en 5/12
thanks jzw... it's like "to come to pass"
and I am off to work for THE MAN. ;-)
have a great day/eve all~
en5/12 jbp
Good day to all.
hiya Scrabbs! have you gotten some rest?
hi scrabbler
I finally slept well last night after two nights of poor sleep.
I will spend most of today with my mother again.
glad to hear. helpers need to help themselves from time to time
That would cause me to lose sleep Scrabs
She's been in the hospital since Saturday. Venous stasis ulcers and cellulitis on her legs and feet. She is improving.
Good Morning Everyone - so happy to have my babble back at work - went into babble panic yesterday
hi riverdance
Hi River. Was it blocked yesterday?
all the best to your Mom scrabbs
She is improving and thus getting ornery.
My computer crashed last Friday afternoon - I lost all my automatic passwords so I could not get into babble. Luckily I had it at home saved in my email from Dr. God last time I had this problem.
Phew!
yes, I was not a happy person yesterday morning
And it was a big grid.
I played a little bit last night at home but got too much to do before I leave on my trip
Where are you going? Is this the Ireland trip?
yes it is - 2 days
and just so you know, I got babble all set on my kindle...lol!
Yay! I am so excited for you. I would love to visit Ireland someday.
will just need wifi
this is my first time going to Europe.....very excited
I have never been to Europe and would love to visit the UK and Italy/Sicily.
me too - one friend I am travelling with has been to italy twice - she loved it!
Have a wonderful and safe trip. Please post pics on FB.
Thanks and I will.
I have tentative plans to meet Soodle on May 8 in Galway.
Great!
30 left - NBT and NBS - time for breakfast - bbl
hello, all.
Hi Owl
good o hear your mother is improving
can I have stats for the 7s & 8? don't need clues, just stats
se744
da7/8
da7/36; da8/50
hmm i do not see the se 7 as yet
Good morning, all! Ugh. Huge amount of cert. mail to send out. And yet, here I sit, wearing my cloak of invisibility.
da7 = blend of da4 + sh5, then the 8 is a plural
Judi, where did you buy your cloak?
Hee hee. I wish, Scrabbs. Alas, it is only virtual.
riverdance, will you be close enough to pop in and visit soodles?
Oh, crap. I must now go to the penalty box.
Must learn to look at grid before I type in chat.
Look at the grid? Read over chat? Why bother with such pesky annoyances? : P
No big deal, Judi.
My social awkwardness is directly proportional to my lack of coffee intake.
Good morning!
If people already have the word they shouldn't care. If they don't have the word then they won't even know it's in the grid unless someone points it out.
{{scrabbler}} how is mum? how are you?
Mom is slowly improving. I finally slept last night after two nights of little sleep.
I wish I was there.
TY. You know the challenge of caring for an aging parent. My mother doesn't have dementia though. Sharp as a tack.
Her sadness is so heavy on her heart. I feel so bad.
It is hard to be old, to lose your spouse, and to see friends passing on.
if I miss a post, I am sure the person to whom I directed my question will not stone me to death for being asking again, molly. I now see that yes, riverdance is going to try and meet with soodles

I know. If there is anything I can possibly do for you, besides lift you up in prayer, please just let me know.

Crossy!
The older folks I feel the worst for are the ones with no kids, or who have kids who do not visit or care for them.
I am glad your mum is felling a bit better scrabby
Oh, and my previous comment was for Judi, it was a joke.
Yes, my cousin worked in a nursing home and said some patients never had visitors.
akk ok. got you:)
I hate that. It is so sad.
My mum sister also has Alzheimer's and is now in a home. We are wondering if a visit would upset them or be a good thing.
My beloved used to volunteer in a nursing home, but she says it is very sad the number of elderly that finish up their days on this earth alone.
No shortage of kids at will readings though. Very sad.
nope, they are like vultures. I have seen that first hand recently.:(
Car, in my experience with Alzheimer's, a visit is always a good thing. The person doesn't need to remember who you are. They are aware that someone caring is there. That is enough.
se7/44..ocean and fades
God bless my Stepmother. She is 82 and out spending everyone's inheritance. We'll be seeing her at a family get-together in Richmond in June. Then she's going on a 16-day tour of Europe on Sept. 1.
Good for her, Judi!
ty Phae
yw
agreed. Just the visit, without pointing out any errors they may make. Just chatting with a person is enough. My beloved grandmother had this as well.
TY, phaeton
Wow!
lol, judi, tell her that she will save everyone grief later on if she spends it all on cabana boy body massages
But we are concerned that it might upset my mum that she will end up that way...or upset my auntie that she doesn't get to leave and my mum does.
sh6/36? please
Oh we have Crossy. We don't want or need her money. She's out having a blast. The rest of us just have to live with the ENVY!
good for her! :)
I must get going now. ENjoy the day.

Gooooooood evening fellow Babblers xx
Mr Gummidge!
Jaxxxxxxxxx!!!! xx
how is Liverpool
Liverpool is very warm this evening and it has been a glorious day with another to follow tomorrow apparently. How is your neck of the woods? xx
Sunny but chilly. the temp has dropped this evening.
I forget where you hail from Jaxx
Manchester originally, ancestors from Liverpool, married a Devonian salmon fisherman and so I live in Teignmouth now.
ah yes, that's right, Teignmouth. Where you the person I spoke to the other night about the development they are doing there?
That was me
We have some development work about to start on the corner of our road. We live in a predominantly poor area and, owing to the bedroom tax, most of the properties have been converted into one bed flats which is fair enough. But what do they decide to build there? On the corner of poor street? 2 and 3 bedroom houses!!!! Go figure!!
Money talks and when connected with developers it shouts.
It certainly does. They haven't even knocked down the old buildings that are there, and yet they reckon they'll have the properties finished before christmas. Can't wait to see that lol
They will be finished but how good the finish will be is debatable
Yes. When you consider how much money is being saved on public sector spending, and the fact that bidding these days is so lucrative, corner cutting is going to be the industry standard from here on in. Unfortunately it's only been the last 10 or 15 years that corner-cutting has been the mainstay, and I fear that in about 20 years time lots of properties are going to have to be demolished!
You get what you pay for, they say. Look what happened to the buildings thrown up in the 1960s
Yes. Plus concrete cancer and asbestosis because of a lack of research. Mind you the research is there today, but so are cheap materials
All the buildings are the same boxes. You are hard put to it to know which town you are in.
True. Having come from Exeter 4 years ago - and having lived in London and other places, the designs for social housing - and quite often private housing - are bog standard. We're all being "house pigeon-holed"
No real character to towns these days.
No. I wish I lived in a nice Cornish or Somerset village sometimes
"Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky tacky, Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes all the same. There's a green one and a pink one And a blue one and a yellow one, And they're all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same."
Good old Nina and Frederik lol
Even those places aren't immune now that 'call me Dave' has decreed that building should be allowed in National Parks and in the green belt.
1962 song about towns and suburbs all looking the same. "And the people in the houses All went to the university, Where they were put in boxes And they came out all the same, And there's doctors and lawyers, And business executives, And they're all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same."
Pete Seager was ahead of his time, eh?
I went to a place in Florida once called Celebration. It was a town built by Walt Disney and it was literally like stepping onto the set of The Stepford Wives. EVERY house and garden was identical - not a lie, totally identical. All the fittings and all the gardens - all the plants. Absolutely everything. It was horrible
David Cameron should be put on a bloody bonfire on Guy Fawkes night - Guido would be proud to see that *** burning!!!
We are heading towards george Orwell's vision of the future.
Yeah, as a military brat we lived in military housing on base. Every home was identical.
Soon, we will all be numbers
The prisoner.
Dismal prospects for our children and grandchildren
It's a worry the way the country is heading. I think the world is so sad compared to when I was young
I think the early 60s were the best time to be alive.
If I could choose a period to live in it would be the late 1800s - so many prospects and so much happening in the developing world - mainly for the good, too
Awful if you were poor at that time
ah, but would you know it? Our opinions of past eras are informed by our experience here. People in 100 years might look back and say, the 1980 - 2020 decades were the best. So if I go through a time portal, I want my memories from here.
(the 'would you know it' in response to Worzel's comment about so much happening)
To be fair though Jaxx any time is awful when you're poor. I would have enjoyed watching the world develop though. Also I do enjoy my time here today, but there are so many ways in which it can - and SHOULD BE - improved, and dippy Dave certainly doesn't help common folk like me!
They probably will, ch1212, as we are heading into a very dreary future.
That is because they have never been without privilege. They give their children what they had re education and wealth while denying the same for us proles
I love being a prole!! Every time I win £2 on a scratchard it gives me a little feeling of joy financially. Knowing how well-off Cameron is that's a feeling he probably never gets. Only pleasure he gets is being the reverse of Robin Hood lmao
I have da7, help with other 7 pls
according to chog there is a SE 7 - but don't have it
I don't either, peri
SE7 is plural...by water by the beach + harry potter and his magic stick..well most of it.

Nehru is a proper noun. I think the jacket was named after a place
I think it was named after a prime minister of India, Nehru, who wore the jackets all the time
sh6/36

Well, I'm off for the evening... spend some time with my sweetie... see everybody next time

hi all!
*Gives Sue the Babble tiara*
hi all
all hail, babble queen for a day!
Babble tiara?
hi TO!
hi sue!
You get the Babble tiara when your name is in the grid
Ah. :-)
Good thing I go by Sue and not by Suzanne :-)
Sue, your icon looks like something out of Ghostbusters
It does, kind of, doesn't it?
I'd love to visit some far north place and see the aurora; too bad all those places are so cold...
Yes, I imagine you get enough cold right where you are
although I could have done it this year - apparently there were quite a few days when it was significantly warmer in Alaska than it was here
la5, please?
good evening all
hi wv!
hello sue
la + beginning of not soft, marc
just got the alumnae news with a reminder that next year will be my 50th
thanks
will there be a reunion, wv?
there always is
Do you attend them?
only went back once
will you go? I went to my 40th college reunion a couple of years ago, and it was a lot of fun
don't know if I will - went to the 15th or 20th, mostly at the urging of my roomate
I konw at my college, the 50th is a pretty big deal
went to the same college
wait, where did you go?
my parents both went to Northwestern Univeristy and went to their 50th and it was a big deal
i really do not know what is done at a large university. perhaps the individual colleges hold reunions?
Mount Holyoke
Did I know that, wv? If so I have forgotten, and I apologize!
TO, never heard of college reunions at large universities.
sue and teach went to the same college?
we connected one time when there was a power outage and you mentioned it and I knew that it had happened in South Hadley
The 50th is Reunion I (they split into two some number of years ago) so you would be there with the graduating seniors - I think that would be fun
well, i would have to get past my hs renion and that has some years.
both went to the same college but several years apart - but it is a very small college
Sue, why did I think you went to Smith?
Dunno, Molly, it's sort of next door?
that's the other school, just a few miles away
There have been a lot of changes on campus, wv, I enjoyed looking around - the old physics building (where I spent a lot of time) now houses womens' studies, and there is a big new science building
I'm sure I wouldn't recognize much of the campus - I was a psychology major and also spent a lot of time at the Gorse Child Center
I remember the Gorse - I took a course in child psychology and we had to observe there
Probably just random misfires in my brain...women's college...Massachusetts is as far as it got
Also the pigeon lab in the basement of the psychology building - it was all focused on behavioral psychology
my sophomore roommate was a psych major; she did a lot of experiments with rats, if I recall properly
never had rats when I was there - it was all pigeons - and then trqansferred the studies over to the kids
ah the joys of rat lab...
good evening
hi phand!
There are joys in rat lab?
good evening phand
not for the rats, Molly :-)
hoping all asea
oops
hoping all is well with all!

Sa 4/8 my teeth in this grid after work. I was able to babble with ea4/4 today. I'm done at la 4/4 and have said my oohs and aa 4/5s over fireworks so here is a story of clues for babblers on the ea4/4 coast and on the west coast. When I was just a te4/4ager, I went to watch the Mets play baseball at Sh4/5 Stadium one Se 5/6ember night. Charlie Sh 5/12 was there. When they showed him on the big screen, he was fe5/16ing on some nachos and sa 5/10. When he saw himself on the screen,he put his he4/6 down and he sa4/8 down in his seat as if to hide.I can he4/5 husband ne4/4by getting impatient waiting for computer.Hubby thinks Babble is a wa 4/8e of time. I fe 4/7 what he will do if I do not give it to him. I will go ah 5/14 and give it to my hubby so things don't get te 5/10. I don't want an argument to en5/12&he la6/21 out at me. Hope that you have se4/4 more words with my story.I am going to get up on my fe 4/7 da 4/6 on into the bedroom to watch the film "Honey I Sh6/36 the Kids".See ya later
