Then I couldn't find back the room, ended up in Amsterdam, riding a scoot mobile. While there was some hotshot meeting in amsterdam with lots and lots of roads blocked and police everywhere.

wrote my exam yesterday. Was funny; I went into the exam with a 95%. This may sound nice in the fact that the lowest i can possibly have overall is 80% if i just sign my name on the exam sheet and walk out, but the problem lies in that if i want to impove that walking in mark at all, the exam i did yesterday have to be 95% or better to change anything:)

not too bad at all. It is a fine, sunny spring day here and i finished off my big English exam yesterday:))

well, I felt it went very well, however, I went into it with a 95% already, so to change the mark at all, this last paper will have to exceed that level. But, overall, I am happy. I fully expect to finish at 90% overall once the exam is factored in
this is college/ Uni entrance exam level of English, so it is a good thing.
I think that is a very very good percentage, I would be more than happy with that.
I do a maths test in a few weeks time but it is of a very low entry level but non the less i will be pleased to complete it..lol
if you finish the ENG4C class i just did with a 95% and beyond, it gives you a free pass and you do not have to write the uni entrance exam
math is my weak area
well I got a 91% in the math i did do here, but it was not plesant
it was workplace math as well, so that helped
I take it you are now getting ready for your law course next if I remember correctly.

My son brought my grandsons over today and we went to a "splash" park and lunch. We came back to my place and when it was time to leave, the 3-year-old said "I don't want to leave grandma's house." Life is good.

I always think it's going to take them some time to warm up to me (I haven't seen them since Christmas) but it never does. They know a grandma when they're with one! I gave the 3-year-old (who loves rocks) one of the rocks from my collection to take home and told him "This is grandma's rock that will live at Elliott's house" and he just loved it.
I love young kids--2.5-6 years is the best!

I don't get to see them as often as I'd like since it's a 1-hr. drive each way and I have no car, but am happy that they seem to really warm to me easily. I'm very comfortable with kids and don't force my attention on them. Really important for both kids and animals...never rush up on them.
And sometimes it is best to not even look them in the eye--toddlers can feel very threatened that way.

We came back to my place and actually played a computer game (I had to work the mouse) called King Oddball and they were fascinated and the little one (1.5 years) belly laughed through it every time it went BOOM!! So much fun.
me, if i'm at work and a kid gets antsy, i just take some stickers out and put them on the desk. eyes are like lasers pointed at the stickers, they start looking around and *presto* a deal is made - yep, bribery - and it works :)
What I really find satisfying is how good a father my son is to his boys. He is just totally present with them and it's obvious they adore and trust him. I did a good job.

Being a good mother was always the most important thing in my life. I wasn't "perfect" but my background in developmental psychology really helped. I never had any real problems with my kids...ever. And they brought their friends home to talk to me since many of them didn't have close relationships with their parents.

What so many parents don't seem to realize is that children WANT us to be in control. They know they're not equipped to be in control so knowing we are is comforting to them and give them stability. Thanks, Scrab. All through school teachers told me they were so happy to have another one of my children in their classes.
