since I am working now, they probablly wont do much but set up a payment plan

now, saying that, reading should never be a chore, so, if after finishing the current one, you find that it is just not for you, try another classic writer
I do not know what types of classics move you but Cpt. Marryat wrote many fine " earthier" tales with less of the social drudgery found in many other books of the time
crossy, i think it is this particular book which is being difficult. read oliver twist and a tale of two9 cities, no problems.
i have found a lot of morris west and daphne du maurier. have been 'devouring' them avidly. i am just so sick and tired of all the foul language and explicit sex stuff.
how about a little thomas hardy?
it is amazing how one can fill a classic shelf on the bookcase with a wide diversity ot tales from the 1820's right up untill the early teens of the next century and never become bored

for example, i have a bunch of C.S Forester waiting as well. Never read it and always wanted to
though this group of book came out in the 30,s and is of a later date that some of the classic seafaring tales
i am having such fun, scanning the book shelves in the charity shops, and when i find a classic writer, feel such a sense of pleasure.
i never did get into reading those, for some reason i didn't even get into the pbs series! (surprise) i did enjoy the jewel in the crown series though
you can find some wonderful books cheap at the charity shops rose, i love to go there too

After a long hard winter I can actually Smell green in my hikes on the mountain;))
we had the warmest day of the year today, 26C, but i know better to expect it to stay warm. we've had snow during stampede week
this year's winter lasted 8 months (so far) - glad to see the sun and have some warmth
the dampness and earthiness of growth; of trees budding and the plants and flowers on the forest floor breaking through the crust of the earth and reaching for the sun. The rivers are all up at the proper levels and are flowing well. It is all very nice.
