1:34 am

1:34 am

Did that recipe make any sense at all, sprite?

1:34 am

don't know, just came in myself

1:34 am

yeah me too

1:35 am

oh yes, Liz, it did. Looks good :)

1:36 am

Glad about that. I realised after i sent it, that I hadn't reread it to check it made sense!

1:36 am

hehehe it is all fine, Liz.

1:37 am

The one I made yesterday turned out particularly well!

1:37 am

awesome :) Am gonna try this so4.

1:37 am

I drove over to see Gradyn--hes gotten so tall but bad news there with his darn Mom again :) They got papers to sheres shes going to take them to court and try getting him. She just wont leave him or them alone

1:38 am

Let me know if it works or if there's any problem with it.

1:38 am

How old is he now?

1:38 am

8 Liz

1:39 am

How old does he have to be before he gets any say in what he wants? I guess that's why I'm asking.

1:39 am

poor kid. Stupid mother. I hope things work out for them.

1:39 am

But I'm glad you got time with him.

1:40 am

she had the rites to havehim over 200 times and only seen him 25 out of those times----I cant see them letting her have him but you never know for sure plus its worrying to him to have to worry about it

1:41 am

yeah it sucks, to put it bluntly. But if they listen to Gradyn at all, she won't get him.

1:41 am

I really hope that it shows how uncaring she is and that it all works out for him. Like sprite says, poor boy.

1:43 am

Carol has adopted a little girl thats now in the 2nd grade who's mom or dad cant stay out of jail or off drugs--she kind of sees me as her grandma and her and I went yardsaling, ate out and to the park. We had a good time and gave Carol a break oh and plus her and I went to see gradyn

1:43 am

oh wow, great pugs!

1:43 am

That's lovely for you, pugs :)

1:43 am

with him having good grades and such I cant see them removing him

1:44 am

BBS

1:44 am

he seems to be doing very well with his father. And he fervently doesn't want to go to his mother. I think the court will have to make those two things count.

1:44 am

I feel sorry for this little girl

1:45 am

I would think so too Sprite. But these courts dont always make sense in what they do

1:45 am

yeah, tough deal for her as well. But a blessing that Carol adopted her. And she is lucky to have you as well.

1:46 am

She kind a part of us all-lol

1:47 am

:D

1:47 am

I had another fight with sleep again last night---how was yours

1:48 am

worse than rotten, tbh. Woke up to a very dirty bed... not just pee... I really don't understand why this happens.

1:49 am

I dont think Iam going to go to service today for the fact I dont think my back would take that sitting that long

1:50 am

you have to be careful with that back. I think it is a wise decision.

1:50 am

ahh Sprite--so sorry my dear friend...I wish I knew how to help you and could be there for you rather then just be a airfriend

1:51 am

having you and Liz and rose for friends helps me a great deal! Never doubt it.

1:51 am

I think I am gonna go see the doctor about this. It isn't normal, right?

1:52 am

I hate the nights--I have to not only fight the sleep but not driving everyone nutsy from writing them to pass the dark hours. Last night was a real struggle for me, but I done it

1:52 am

Good idea, sprite. If something can help you that would be good.

1:52 am

you can always write to me, darling.

1:52 am

It dont sound like it Sprite--I hope you do so so4

1:54 am

thanks Sprite--I feel Iam bothering by doing so, so much

1:54 am

am gonna call for an appointment tomorrow. We will see.

1:54 am

welcome back Liz

1:54 am

pug, I can only tell you time and again that no, you don't bother me at all. Write if it helps you. And I will write back to you.

1:55 am

Thanks. Birds fed. Me fed. Coffee cooling

1:55 am

good job, Liz. Might go downstairs to make myself a cuppa so4 too.

1:56 am

I just dont want to lose any more friends or fear its the OCD causing it

1:57 am

you won't lose me. And I don't mind a bit of OCD, lol, am used to it. I can handle my own, won't worry about yours.

1:58 am

Won't lose me either!

1:58 am

Won't lose me either!

1:58 am

its hard for me to define the line between unhealthy and healthy-lol

1:58 am

In fact, it's obvious you won't lose me twice!

1:58 am

thanks Liz---hugs

1:58 am

see? Liz is fine with it too. Don't worry too much, pugs. It is all good.

2:01 am

I was hoping Gradyn would want to come and stay overnight but he was to busy with boys he was playing with--hes growing up--lol

2:02 am

hehehe good for him! Doing boy stuff is healthy for him.

2:02 am

2:03 am

Sprite, you remember what your dreams are about so to tell the doctor

2:03 am

Perhaps call him and arrange a time for him to come and stay (obviously with his dad's agreement) it might make him feel, really grown up to make arrangements!

2:03 am

speaking of which... my boy is 18 today. Won't be home until this afternoon, lol...

2:04 am

I always remember my dreams. Don't think she can do anything about them though. Am more worried about the incontinence

2:04 am

I hope he has a good B-day then--does this make you sad

2:05 am

Have you tried antilizing your dreams or have someone else to

2:05 am

no, not at all. I think it is healthy for boys his age to wanna hang out with his friends. And I don't mind them growing up, tbh. Guess I am a lousy mum that way... always have enjoyed seeing them grow less dependent and all.

2:06 am

yes pugs. Been through the mill with them.

2:06 am

Happy birthday to your adult!!!! Perhaps he'll behave like one now!!! Sorry, probably shouldn't have said that!

2:06 am

*grin* Thanks Liz, and feel free to say it. I know I will, next time he acts up :)

2:07 am

I hardly ever have dreams but that may be due to not sleeping--lol and I would hate dreaming of my past anyways

2:08 am

Also had loads of stress type dreams last night!

2:08 am

Liz is has such a wonderful life with little problems--Iam so happy for you Liz

2:08 am

it is not always about my past. Last night it was a serial killer, after me and my kids. A house with 4 doors, locks not working. And Rob finally coming to the rescue, but by car and on a parking lot about 10 mins walk from our house. Crazy stuff huh.

2:09 am

Crazy but so distressing.

2:09 am

lol pugs, Liz has her own share of problems to deal with.

2:09 am

sorry about that, Liz :( Bad dreams are so tiring.

2:09 am

Thanks pugs. I wish you could all share some of my wonderful life.

2:09 am

sounds like a horror movie!

2:10 am

can you mail it? lol

2:10 am

True but at least I know the cause!

2:10 am

that is at least a good thing, Liz *hug*

2:10 am

My problems seem really trivial compared to yours!

2:11 am

and God knows what triggered it too... not seen anything on tv, not read anything remotely like it.

2:11 am

comparing problems is very unhealthy. We each have our burdens to bear and we all have the right to feel rotten about them.

2:12 am

True, it's all comparative to ones own standpoint.

2:13 am

also, problems that aren't our own can be even worse to handle... because we are so helpless to do something about them.

2:15 am

so true Sprite---and its hard sometimes to not take on others problems( like Gradyn's)

2:15 am

yahoo! I won the red boxes--lol

2:16 am

yes, that is an art in itself, to not take them on your shoulders but to carry them in your heart

2:20 am

ok that was odd. A hiccup not at hiccup time

2:23 am

geez, lost the server

2:23 am

I think we all did

2:24 am

Grrr!

2:24 am

it wouldnt even refresh so I had to restart

2:25 am

fireflies for me. Twisty little grid.

2:25 am

8 left here.

2:25 am

lol Liz... frustrating huh? :)

2:25 am

congrats! and so fast too

2:26 am

thanks :)

2:26 am

6 now - getting there.List is helping :)

2:26 am

Chat's really sluggish today!

2:27 am

yes it is.

2:27 am

Thankfully most of my remaining ones are 4s, so not too hard now.

2:27 am

may be due to holiday and so many on using the airwaves

2:27 am

takes ages for a comment to appear. Well, off with me. *hugs* to you both. May you have a blessed day and a peaceful night. And if rose pops in, please hug her from me.

2:28 am

Forgot that it was a holiday weekend in the US.

2:28 am

No thanks. Down to 5 now, so it's moving OK.

2:29 am

2:29 am

2:34 am

I thought you were sick?

2:34 am

Thanks. OK - I'm off for the evening. Have a lovely day and hugs to you both and to Rose if you see her.

2:34 am

You too Liz---hugs

2:35 am

I had a virus pugs but it's all but gone now so we treated ourselves to a night out. Think I'm getting old though, can't drink as much as I used to lol

2:35 am

It's twisty, worz, as sprite said, but because there are lots of 4 letter words, it's not too bad.

2:35 am

Well I'll keep plodding along Liz x

2:42 am

are the two ar7's spelt similarly or totally different? any clues would be much appreciated xx

2:43 am

I dont know Wor for I just started not long ago--sorry

2:43 am

that's ok x thanks anyway

2:52 am

The 2 Ar/7's are identical, apart from the last letter. A d Hi all :-)

3:46 am

good morning and happy French mothers' Day

3:47 am

Happy Mother's Day ruby. xoxox

3:48 am

good morning Ruby and HMD to you

3:48 am

gran, did you get the word, dear?

3:48 am

It is so silly that they don't coordinate days beytween here and other places. For example, DST is two weeks different from the US

3:49 am

{{little pugs]] I'm sorry that your back is hurting! I it from your job?

3:49 am

is it the same with father day too

3:49 am

{{rosie}}

3:49 am

nah, it's more exciting to have mother's day spread over a few weeks.

3:49 am

I don't know but probabbly

3:49 am

no Ruby, it started a couple of months ago and has just gotten worse

3:50 am

not really (laughs ruefully)

3:50 am

don bought me a beautiful bunch of flowers 2 weeks ago, for our mother's day. they are still opening, and the flowers are goreous.

3:50 am

I have chronic back problems and take paracetemol + codeine (prescription) every morning in order to be functional

3:51 am

my body feels like its a 100 yrs old-lol

3:51 am

okay, looks like i need to send a care package to ruby as well.

3:51 am

today, husband is complaining about a sore back, but I think it's just to get out of going out to lunch

3:51 am

how nice Rose--what kind were they

3:52 am

pom-pom chrysanthemums, and oriental lilies, plus lots of other stuff.

3:53 am

<-- loves lilies but every time I plant them, nothing happens

3:53 am

oh I bet its pretty--you should post them

3:53 am

soon

3:53 am

sorry

3:53 am

sounds like Don is a keeper! lol

3:56 am

i am watching a program as 3 kids celebrate their bar mitzvah/bat mitzvah's. it's very interesting. apparently the after party is now the important part. and i find that very sad.

3:57 am

its the way of the world Rose--many churches tried harder to provide entertainment over the most important part--I have read on this topic a few times

3:57 am

so tell me...what are people of the jewish persuasion getting right? their kids are following the faith, no arguments.

3:57 am

there should be a balance. When my nephew's youngest, in London, had his, it was very formal in a really old and elegant synagogue with his mother reading from the Torah in beautiful Hebrew. But the after parties (one little one right after) and a very big one at night at a resto they hired, were important, too

3:58 am

I'm afraid I was brought up by an atheist and a mother who was not observant, so anything I did was totally on my own.

3:59 am

And my son, although he is half Jewish and considers himself a Jew, has a Catholic wife, so neither observes anything

4:00 am

That makes him a Cashew ruby

4:00 am

Hi Ruru

4:01 am

did you enjoy your outing in NY

4:01 am

Are you calling my son a nut? LOL

4:01 am

my mother sent me off to church, every sunday, i attended sunday school, and later i worshiped at my local church. i brought my sons up the same way. so why am i so evil that my eldest will not talk to me because i 'forced' him to go to sunday school?

4:01 am

Yes..still doing more

4:01 am

THAT WOULD BE HIS CHILDREN, IF HE HAD ANY

4:02 am

hey ya ruru!! are you home now? or still in the Big Apple?

4:02 am

Still in ny..my dinner was a huge success

4:03 am

yay, ruru. well done, mate.

4:03 am

so glad you are enjoying yourself Ru---hope the fun continues for you

4:04 am

Yep seeing Doren today

4:04 am

4:08 am

4:08 am

does your job coe with health benefits, pugs?

4:09 am

no Ruby--Iam just part time help

4:09 am

i am hoping so, pugs. vicar anointed me and prayed for me this afterno4. even so, i am going, as the warm water will help so much.

4:10 am

{your vicar who is my pup's namesake"

4:10 am

yes it will---as would that hot tub that you are suppose to get

4:11 am

yes, ruby. she is so loving and caring.

4:11 am

*giggle* one day, pugs.

4:12 am

they used to ave a custom in France where, once a year, the priest would bless the nimals. Not any more, though

4:12 am

if the river water werent so cold I would get in the rapids and let it massage my back

4:14 am

Rose, since working my sugar on the fast is running at 160--:)

4:16 am

yay, well done, pugs.

4:16 am

I have to go, somebody is whining lol

4:17 am

okay Ruby--hugs, bye and love

4:17 am

lol, ruby. did you see the episode of the 'vicar of dibley' where she had the blessing of the animals. sooo funnny.

4:17 am

see you later, ruby, my dear.

4:18 am

Hugs and bye to you Rose too--got to shower and all before going to campgrounds to have coffee with Carol. Blessings and love

4:19 am

6:25 am

yeah, ditto here, enomis.

6:26 am

I'm finding it hard to find words though economis

6:26 am

me too, lots of vowels so probably lots of babblets

6:26 am

these small grids often have big teeth

6:27 am

first half went quickly

6:28 am

sukee, just read the synop of your book. looks and sounds very interesting and amusing.

6:29 am

It is so far. Not exactly heavy reading but fun.

6:29 am

Imagine, Sheldon Cooper :)

6:30 am

my next read is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

6:30 am

sukee, you're writing a book? How wonderful!

6:30 am

egad, roflol. no way!!

6:31 am

No, just reading one :)

6:31 am

sorry, enomis. i guess i worded that post badly. it is the book sukee is reading.

6:31 am

Crossy also has a novella in the works which, with any luck will be finished by year end. Plan on adding a few shorts with it then offer it to the world as a collection of stories

6:32 am

Great.

6:32 am

LOL, I think I am not awake yet!Been babysitting my laughter's puppy who doesn't yet sleep through the night... ----need coffee-----

6:32 am

I have ideas for books but don't get very far. I did publish an ebook of articles I had written about cats. I think it has sold 5 copies :)

6:32 am

6:35 am

6:36 am

sukee" where can I find it? I'll buy two copies, one for my sister and one for me

6:36 am

{{crossy}}

6:36 am

I like the idea of a laughter's puppy

6:37 am

I wrote a children's book named Rosie the Chow, but didn't know how to get it published. Illustrated and everything.

6:38 am

6:38 am

I may need to shorten that :)

6:39 am

Is it only available as an e book? Neither my sister nor I have an e-reader

6:39 am

someone hand me a sledge hammer...himself is arguing with someone, i.e. me, who has been in pain all day from spasms in the muscles in her back, and is now up to pussy's bow on oral narcotics. how dumb can you get??

6:39 am

http://goo.gl/yTKbHj

6:39 am

Yes, but you can read it on any computer if you download the app.

6:40 am

sister doesn't have a computer :( we are both dinosaurs

6:40 am

6:41 am

Well, it's short. You could print it out :)

6:41 am

<--loves the feel of books

6:41 am

((ruby))

6:41 am

I love my ereader. I still have 3 bookcases filled with books but love the ease.

6:43 am

my beloved loves her e-reader. At one time it had been ten years since she had been able to read due to a degenerative eye disease and books did ner no good at all as very few titles were available in large print formats

6:43 am

as sukee says, i use both

6:43 am

Yes, I like that too. I don't have to wear my reading glasses in bed.

6:43 am

I think Laughter's Puppy could be the name of a book like Midnight' Children

6:43 am

with my wife, real books became impossible

6:43 am

I like it, Laughter's Puppy :)

6:44 am

nice childrens book name

6:44 am

7:54 am

7:57 am

yep -- funny how certain names appear over and over :-) Harley, Marley, Max, Belle . . .

7:58 am

not yet adopted, but fostered together -- am sure they'll be adopted quickly -- very sweet, well behaved, beautiful pups!

7:59 am

The bulldog next door to me is Jager (yayger) Jagermeister.

9:57 am

kje, my mother is so stiff from arthritis in her back and knees yet she refused Mobic and will take only Tylenol. We are hoping she will be able to come home in 2-3 wks.

9:59 am

heading out....thanks for the help!

10:00 am

Bye, penquis

10:14 am

te7????

10:15 am

te7/44 starts with sounds like something geeky and ends with a mineral

10:15 am

sounds like something that hangs from the celing of deep caves- use high point tile

10:16 am

I couldn't think of that, crossy duh me

10:16 am

it is a rough guide only, but if it works, it is all good

10:17 am

yay! ty

10:18 am

must serve dinner *woof*

10:22 am

scrab - she is making the correct decision - NSAIDs for long term (more than several days for acute pain) are not recommended for older adults.

10:26 am

was just looking at the potential risk factors in taking Mobic long term and to be honest, I would have to be almost crippled to immobility before the benifits would outweigh the risks for me. Of course gulping Tylenol is bad for the stomach as well.

10:26 am

TY, kje. She did get relief from Tylenol when I was there last night.

10:27 am

ah, there you are - I just sent you a message in FB - I thought I had missed you

10:27 am

seems to be no perfect med:(

10:28 am

TY, kje. I checked back here before I planned to log off and go to the farm

10:28 am

spend my days now trying to exercise out my bursitis in my knees:(( not working too well:(

10:30 am

She is able to sleep well but she gets achy sitting in the wheelchair. She hates PT and OT but knows she must participate to improve.

10:30 am

Ouch, Crossy.

10:30 am

yes, move it, or lose it.

10:31 am

i hope pt and ot help your mum, scrabby;)

10:32 am

right now ,in my case, i am STILL waiting on speciallist form arthritis in the herniated disks in my neck and my knees feel hot a lot of the time from bursitis, almost feeling like i have scratched them really hard. it is a pain in the caboose

10:32 am

for*

10:32 am

Losing weight can make a difference when it comes to arthritis knee pain. In fact, if you're overweight, for every pound you lose, you remove about 4 pounds of stress from your knees.

10:33 am

but, i love my hiking and will do it till they buckle;)

10:33 am

you are quite correct 0-0 I am 50 pounds over my ideal weight

10:34 am

so, using that formula, i am adding an extra 200 pounds of stress to my knees

10:34 am

OK, off to the farm to buy tomatoes, etc. We can safely plant now--a frost is unlikely now until the first week in October.

10:34 am

hagd, scrab

10:34 am

yes, yesterday was may 24 and we are in the clear!!

10:38 am

Only seven months until Christmas.

10:40 am

Wow, short growing season for you folks.

10:44 am

Howdilly doo, neighbors!

10:44 am

yup> plant any time before May 24th and you are taking a chance. Start seedling inside of course, but we had a frost night here just a week ago

10:46 am

then like scrabby says, frost and first snow in october

10:46 am

Crossy - my knees sympathize with your knees.

10:46 am

And my hips... and my back...

10:46 am

one year, when my son was young, I had to send him out in his winter gear for tricj-or-trat night

10:47 am

knees...sob..my knees...

10:47 am

trick-or-treat

10:48 am

Exercise is very beneficial, but it causes pain!

10:48 am

agree on that! I am starting to use walking stick regularly now. it healps a great deal

10:49 am

helps

10:51 am

My hips bother me the most. And our Tempurpedic bed is not the sweet oasis that it used to be.

10:52 am

Hubby and I both want to try a Sleep Number bed. I suppose I should go price them out. Anybody have one?

10:52 am

this is my go-to company for walking sticks. ceck out the ones under the hiking/ turned sticks section. I like them the best http://tinyurl.com/mp9uuvf

10:52 am

they are so out of our budget, i will never be able to afford one, judi

10:52 am

check*

10:53 am

Uh oh. Now I'm afraid to look.

10:53 am

do you use a body pillow between your knees at night judi? If not, i highly reccomend you do

10:54 am

this is good for hips and knees

10:54 am

millions of pregnant women cannot be wrong:)

10:54 am

No body pillow. I did use a regular pillow after my bursitis hip surgery. It did work. I'll have to try doing that again.

10:55 am

Of course, the oxycodone was more helpful. :-)

10:55 am

*Passes around the Geritol*

10:56 am

:P

10:57 am

whacks molly over the head with my nifty new walking stick

10:57 am

mmm, oxy's

10:58 am

Beware girly. We'll become middle-aged vampires and drain you of glucosamine.

10:58 am

Careful old timer, don't strain yourself.

10:58 am

Ha, the only thing you will drain me of is 80 proof Irish whiskey.

10:59 am

Yikes. Well, any lubricant in an emergency.

10:59 am

this is why we do not kill off the Irish... all that good whiskey:))

11:00 am

The laundry room beckons yet again. Off I go! See you kids tomorrow! *POOF*

11:00 am

please...do not say laundry

11:00 am

Well, people have been trying to kill off the Irish for decades, with little success.

11:00 am

:)

11:01 am

Ha ha. Okay. My dear great aunt Hazel used to call it "the warsh".

11:01 am

anyone who makes whiskey that well cannot be all bad:)

11:02 am

Great aunt Hazel probably spent a lot more time doing laundry than we do, bless her heart.

11:04 am

As easy as it is for us to clean our clothes, compared to those who came before us, we should all go happily to put our laundry in our machines and bless them as we do so.

11:08 am

personally, i would love one of those old wringer-washers from the 50,s and space for a clothes line. Tired of clothes that smell burnt by the time the dryer is finished with them

11:10 am

I'm sure it would be delightful to hang clothes on the line when the temperatures are below zero : D

11:16 am

i did not mean in winter, though i have done it. You hang them till they freeze, then bring them in and beat the ice out of them in the cold pantry before they thaw.

11:17 am

then hang in front of wood stove for 20 min and yer all set

11:17 am

of course you can actually break the clothes that way. I once snapped a tea towel in half at minus 40c:)

11:18 am

generally, though, I would keep the wringer-washer for a May to October thing:)

11:29 am

a summer romance as it were:)

11:33 am

Dome neighbor has a yappy dog visiting and it's been going on for hours!

11:33 am

At least my woofers bark for a reason. This one is a tweeter

11:34 am

My sympathies Ruby. I live in the land of inconsiderate dog owners, I know of what you speak.

11:35 am

Rufie only barks if a cat comes on the property or taunt s him through the fend or if a stranger comes to the gate. Once I tell him it\s OK, he stops

11:35 am

fence*

Crossy it sounds like you need to clean the lint from your dryer exhaust. Do it. If you're already smelling a burnt odor you could be close to a fire.

2:23 pm

hi all, help with either ar7 pls

2:24 pm

Good point Sally. Clothes should not smell burnt when they are done in the dryer.

Hi, Molly. how's the class going?

4:29 pm

Ah!! Jaxx, I love your pink-haired icon. :-)

4:30 pm

Soodle!!!!! Molly encouraged me to contact dr god and i now have icon and a profile. Doesn't show the wrinkles though

4:31 pm

4:32 pm

just got the wonderful vegetable on 5.yummy

4:33 pm

I only have 2 mkg. Oa 4/4 used in a boat and on5 - crying veg

4:33 pm

An icon AND a profile. Your cup surely runneth over, Jaxx! I don't want to alarm anybody, but I had a dream last night, and you, Jaxx, you Molly, and a random Native American were in it. It was a pleasant drean! (Booking appointment with psychologist tomorrow).

4:33 pm

I love the yummy veg but as I get older, it doesn't like me

4:34 pm

ty got them.

4:35 pm

What were we doing?

4:35 pm

4:36 pm

4:37 pm

ET 6/21

4:37 pm

IN 4/4 and ir 5/10

4:39 pm

4:44 pm

I need a clue for ra 6/18, the second one. For fireworks.

4:45 pm

Sorry, make that the fourth one

4:45 pm

We were all in a really nice conservatory, with lush fruit trees, and the sun shining in. But, it was like a waiting area... As if me & my companions were waiting to go off simeplacw else. But it was benign & happy. So!!! Interpret that!

4:46 pm

Perhaps we were on our way to Shangrila

4:46 pm

good grief. 'Someplace'

4:48 pm

perhaps we had helped you get over the blip and you were taking us somewhere nice to say thank you. As for the Native American I have no idea

4:49 pm

Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth, myself & all 3 of my offspring had a delightful meal out together today. Nobody fought with anybody else, everyone behaved themselves, and it was very pleasant. Yay!

4:49 pm

See, good things do happen

4:49 pm

Kids fighting when they grow up. So ironic

4:49 pm

Never mind, found it myself :) Fireworkds

4:50 pm

Okay, first of all, you need to start having dreams that have better subject matter than Babble. : P

4:50 pm

Way to go, sukee

4:51 pm

Yay for Sukee! Well done.

4:51 pm

Lush fruit, sunshine...those are indicators of better days ahead. If the Native American was a big, swarthy male, that is self-explanatory.

4:52 pm

I think you, soodle and I make perfect subject matter but as for the 'Red Indian', albeit a random one, I am not sure

4:53 pm

ty all. only need E first column third row to have NBT.any clues?

4:53 pm

Lol Molly!

4:54 pm

I had a bad experience with a large swarthy male so count me out on that one

4:55 pm

Symbolism: One Irish, one American and one Brit. I could go on about that for a while, but it would just get me in more trouble than I am already in around here.

4:55 pm

et, first three letters of belief system, and first three letters of facial feature

4:55 pm

Oh Jaxx.... Your last post is such a wonderful opening line for a book. I may just steal it...

4:55 pm

be my guest

4:56 pm

Hiya Frogface.

4:56 pm

hi soodle, hi all

4:57 pm

MollyL in trouble on Babble???? Perish the thought. :-D

4:57 pm

hi, frog

4:57 pm

this is not a nice grid

4:57 pm

What? You have given up on the opening line that goes: "It was Monday, and I was having a salad."

4:58 pm

hi jaxx

4:58 pm

ty got the et word. super clue. took me a while.

4:58 pm

ty

4:58 pm

I agree, frog. I have 16 to go and may just give up

4:59 pm

yw

4:59 pm

i can't even get half way

4:59 pm

Molls, you, Ruby & I know darn well that THATS never gonna happen!

4:59 pm

i also dont like this one. i enjoy them when i can get half way with some ease and i feel the words are clever.

5:00 pm

bye

5:00 pm

bye, mkg

5:00 pm

I feel your pain mkg.

5:01 pm

hello all!

5:01 pm

Hi, peri

5:01 pm

back to find my last 17

5:01 pm

hi peri

5:01 pm

I love your icon, jaxx.

5:02 pm

i like it because it makes me look young

5:03 pm

Soodle...you and Ruby and I...that is like Thelma & Louise plus one.

5:03 pm

Even though nobody asked, I'll tell ye anyway. Fishcakes, with a lemon & dill mayonaisse sauce, followed by a ribeye steak, with baked potato, side salad with ranch dressing & a big dollop of mushroom sauce.

5:03 pm

Ruby's dogs can sit in the back

5:04 pm

That is yards better than a salad.

5:05 pm

Nah. I prefer to think of us as The Three Amigos. Or the Holy Trinity. Or (sadly) the three stooges!!

5:05 pm

The grandchildren decided not to come for tea. We had Roast Chicken with all the trimmings, followed by strawberries and cream in peace

5:06 pm

You could be the three musketeers.

5:06 pm

You really need to go out and commune with your pagan ancestors. Nothing less than Triple Goddesses are we.

5:07 pm

that is where the Native American comes in

5:07 pm

The only flaw I see in that, Jaxx, is that you had to cook/clean up.

5:07 pm

*Not a stooge, never will be*

5:07 pm

I cooked but Nigel cleaned up

5:08 pm

Molly, I swear. As soon as dawn breaks in the morning, I'm going to go out and hug a tree.

5:08 pm

Communing with nature, eh? Lovely

5:10 pm

May the Druids be with you, Soodle.

5:12 pm

and the shamans with you, molly

5:16 pm

I'll make do with a soothsayer

5:16 pm

Good night my dear Babble friends. And if any of you are going to have Babble dreams, may they be happy, positive ones.

5:16 pm

As for dinner (we don't do "tea") it's opening weekend of barbecue season her in the US. We had pulled pork barbecue, cole slaw and baked beans.

5:16 pm

yum

5:17 pm

perhaps you will have a follow up dream and find out where we were headed. Sleep well, soodle.

5:17 pm

Hello Lil

5:18 pm

hi lil monkey, how is your friend doing?

5:18 pm

We Brits call early dinner 'tea'. We have not got barbecue weather here at the moment. We had our four days of summer last week :)

5:18 pm

Still hanging in there... thanks for asking.

5:19 pm

Hi, lil*monkey

5:20 pm

Lil, Mary Eileen remains in my prayers. I'm glad she has someone like you to see her through this. That matters, a lot.

5:23 pm

fw, happy babbling all

5:24 pm

yay, peri. bye for now

5:26 pm

Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing

5:26 pm

By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!

5:30 pm

Hey there Min, welcome to the grid. What are you up to this holiday weekend?

5:31 pm

Hi MollyL!I was outside for 3 hrs weeding&planting flowers

5:32 pm

I was outside most of the day myself. Gorgeous weather.

5:34 pm

My allergies are alot better this so I could do that. No way I could have done that last year!It was a beautiful day today

5:35 pm

That's great Min. I remember how much you have suffered with your allergies. Glad you have found a way around that.

5:38 pm

Actually, that was the 1 good thing about my allergies. It was an excuse to not have to do any garden work. Hate working outside! I can think of a lot more fun things to do outside. Oh well, at least we'll have a pretty garden.

5:40 pm

Pretty gardens are the best thing about this time of year.

5:48 pm

and now it is time for Crossy's quote of the day!!!

5:49 pm

"Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain."- Jack Kerouac

5:59 pm

Hi crosshair! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log!

6:00 pm

howdy min:)

6:02 pm

omg ti6/18 who knew it could be singular

6:02 pm

nickname for bazooms

6:03 pm

I mean, ONE bazoom

6:05 pm

Bazoom.... : D ... so much better than "boobies"

6:06 pm

P.S. Tor knew

6:06 pm

MollyL I've been participating in quite a few fundraisers for breast cancer lately, and the most offensive word has to be "tata" UGH I hate it

6:06 pm

They all have signs "Save the TaTas"

6:07 pm

It's so stupid! How about Save the LIFE!

6:08 pm

I was repulsed when those bracelets came out.

6:08 pm

Yes that is the perfect word: repulsed

6:09 pm

Also at the fact that teenage boys were wearing them for reasons other than breast cancer awareness. Gross.

6:11 pm

I'd like to show up at a testicular cancer fundraiser with a big sign SAVE the NUTS

6:12 pm

: D I'll be right there with you.

6:12 pm

OK diving back in to find my last 18

6:14 pm

lol! I had just mistakenly disabled my ad- block plus plug-in for chrome!. I had forgotten how bad all those ads were and did not waste any time re-activating it!

6:16 pm

my seminoma scar just gave a twinge...

6:16 pm

save the nuts.. lol

6:17 pm

"hoard your nuts today!"

6:19 pm

never saw any orchid bracelets for it, sadly:)

6:25 pm

and fundraisers?? all we had was Lance:(

6:25 pm

Lance SUKS

6:26 pm

Yup.. tis all we got, some guy who, as it turns out was pumped full of performance enhancing drugs..

6:27 pm

Pompous a$$! He actually says now he still won those medals and he wants them back. What a jerkoff.

6:28 pm

so, be happy for the corny t-shirts and fundraisers:))

6:28 pm

? Is there some kind of logic in your statement?

6:29 pm

you were dissing the shirts, bracelets and slogans. At least there is that. We get a guy hopped up on sterioids

6:30 pm

nothing more

6:30 pm

This isn't a competition. I was dissing the use of the word "tatas" for breast cancer slogan.

6:31 pm

could be worse. whatever raises the dollars for research

6:31 pm

Oh as usual you are absolutely right and no one else ever is.

6:31 pm

never said that.

6:32 pm

sorry if i ruffled your fur

6:32 pm

whatever

6:32 pm

Go think up a witty crossy saying

6:32 pm

I guess my ultimate point is to be greatful for what you do get.

6:33 pm

It's spelled "grateful"

6:33 pm

well, ty for the correction. I love it when you catch all those typos for me. glad someone is around to jump all over them.

6:35 pm

hi all

6:35 pm

Just popping in for a moment. Whoa---the monkey needs an attitude adjustment. If you can't get along with crossy, you can't get along with anyone....go take a chill pill.

6:35 pm

howdy, jmc

6:35 pm

((jmc))

6:36 pm

((mimi))

6:36 pm

not a biggie, mimi

6:36 pm

((crossy)) Yeah, I know...I'm just a bit protective of certain people.

6:37 pm

so, how are you today, mimi? hot temps coming your way i suppose?

6:37 pm

ugh, the term tata is vulgar i am not a fan of that campaign either. . .

6:37 pm

Hello jmcnrick! How are you doing today?Welcome to chog.

6:37 pm

agreed, but my point of the entire thing is at least there IS a campaign

6:37 pm

any way ni ha. . . . i am coming at you from Beijing today.

6:37 pm

What has my back up these days is everyone calling everyone else a bitch...especially other women.

6:37 pm

it exists. it raises money.

6:38 pm

Hi MimiCat! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid

6:38 pm

Beijing? very cool. I hear the air is not so good there. how are you finding things jmc?

6:38 pm

there are lots of campaigns about breast cancer. . .you would think it was the number one killer of women rather than heart disease. . .

6:38 pm

Hi, Min!

6:39 pm

actually the air has only been bad one day. . .the friends i am staying with are amazed

6:39 pm

hi min

6:39 pm

There are lots of fundraisers for testicular cancer.

6:39 pm

Thank you for that, jmc! That has always bothered me a bit as well...especially sensitive to it after my heart attack last year.

6:39 pm

cool, i will work on a "hoard your nuts" t-shirt for next time one is about to happen here.

6:39 pm

we also went to Dunhoung and saw the sand dunes in the Gobi dessert.

6:40 pm

Don't get me wrong, people should donate to whatever speaks to them.

6:40 pm

Wow, jmc!!! How fabulous for you!!! I'm positively green with envy.

6:40 pm

i am bankrupting myself but having a great time. . .

6:40 pm

indeed. Since i have had the big c three times, I donate to the canadian cancer society as a whole; they can spread it out to whatever cancer they prefer from there.

6:41 pm

hi molls

6:41 pm

Jmcnrick, I have not forgotten about your quarter. I am not very good at getting things done in a timely matter. Sorry!

6:41 pm

damn blanking on her name in western canada. . .

6:42 pm

well i am not around to accept it at this point min but you are a peach to remember especially since i am so neglectful of babbleland lately. . .

6:42 pm

memories of your travels will be like gold later on, jmc. Money is just something your relatives will fight over your casket about later on. Do it! travel!

6:42 pm

Going to get some work done now. I'm behind after having my fall on Thurs. and my arms are just starting to work again.

6:42 pm

*Sends bounty hunters after Min to retrieve JMC's quarter*

6:42 pm

haha only have one son so it will be hard for there to be much of a fight. . .

6:42 pm

what happened, mimi? I did not hear of your fall.

6:43 pm

no no molls then i would have to pay them the quarter!

6:43 pm

oh dear mimi . . . take care

6:43 pm

Cat ran in front of me while I was going into kitchen and down I went, spread eagle and scraped knees and really did a number on both arms...rt. elbow and left shoulder. Still painful but better.

6:44 pm

The only good thing about having more weight on now is that I mostly bounce.

6:45 pm

I think these cats have a death wish...they do this a lot and it baffles me since they can see I have very large feet!

6:45 pm

haha

6:45 pm

Unfortunately, the more weight, the harder the fall.

6:46 pm

True, Molly, but since I'm also gravity impaired now, at least I'm closer to the ground.

6:47 pm

You know....I'm really not overweight...I'm just too short.

6:47 pm

...by about 3 feet....

6:48 pm

Did you ever go see a doctor about your injuries?

6:48 pm

i have a long way to go to the ground. . . i was really nervous on the great wall. . .

6:48 pm

What JMC? You didn't have your bodyguards carry you, like Beiber?

6:49 pm

i should change my icon. . . brb *looks at the funny green and yellow squares and wonders what they are*

6:49 pm

No...just rested, took Aleve and had lots of vodka. If they weren't better by yesterday I would have considered it. Probably sprain and muscle spasm. Much better today.

6:49 pm

I trip over my dog in kitchen all the time and then he looks at me like I was the one who was in HIS way. Go figure!

6:50 pm

Oh good, well I guess there were no bone splinters after all.

6:51 pm

and lilM, sorry, you only get one "witty crosshair saying" per day; one quote, on tidbit perhaps. Then you must wait till tomorrow like everyone else. the mail does keep pouring in but, alas, I am only one man:)

6:51 pm

My cats looked really worried...honestly. The guilty one slinked away and suilked for awhile. They all stayed close to me for two days and every time I'd wince in pain they looked so concerned. They would come up to me and gingerly put a paw on me...sweet.

6:51 pm

and yes, there are typos in that:)

6:53 pm

I am always having to watch for cats twining in my feet as i try to walk from one room to another.

6:53 pm

I don't think we are here to trash Lil Monkey so maybe it's time to move right along.

6:53 pm

you are correct, molly, moving on

6:53 pm

Typing was just too painful until today so my work has piled up...lucky tomorrow is a holiday. Better get back to it. Lovely touching base with everyone. Have a GREAT time, jmc, and please post pictures when you get back! Hugs all around.

6:54 pm

I am generally easygoing, most of the time:)

6:55 pm

sorry, did not see; did you get a doctor to look things over, mimi?

6:55 pm

opps, she is off to work.

6:56 pm

Oops...almost forgot. In case any of you order from Amazon and don't know about this, they have a Smile program that you sign up for which automatically gives 5% of every eligible purchase to the charity of your choice....and it does not cost you a thing. I'm donating to our local Humane Society.

6:56 pm

Goodnight MimiCat.I hope you continue to be on the mend.

6:56 pm

i already use Goodshop which provides donations to a lot of on line stores.

6:57 pm

Just enter "Amazon Smile" and you'll get the info. No, crossy, no doctor...just Aleve and vodka and rest.

6:57 pm

and the donations from barnes and nobles is higher than the donation for amazon. . .

6:58 pm

that is my kind of wellness program mimi

6:58 pm

OK, Molly....now I'm really going...(Molly's thinking, yeah, right, sure you are).

6:58 pm

wish we had Barnes and Noble here:(

6:59 pm

I do keep vodka around for medicinal purposes, jmc, after all.....it's amazing how many little medicinal uses I find for it!!!

6:59 pm

had to get my brother in Las vegas to send me my nook readers:(

6:59 pm

molls and crossy will you tell jilli that i am in china. . . i think that is who i mean

6:59 pm

i use jack the same way mimi

6:59 pm

will do, jmc

7:00 pm

did my icon change? internet in China is a challenge. . .i cannot get nytimes or on facebook to post pictures. . .

7:00 pm

vodka also make a good household cleaner, if you can bear to part with it in that manner

7:00 pm

google works about half the time

7:00 pm

You and peri and I will have one riot of a time in the Fall, crossy! Now...poink!

7:00 pm

*looks scandalized at the thought of wasting booze that way*

7:01 pm

peri is gonna vist you crossy?

7:01 pm

I'm all for people enjoying a drink, or two or however many. But alcohol and swelling injuries is often not a good mix.

7:01 pm

I have just heard it will work, jmc, i have never actually tried it:)

7:01 pm

we are supposed to have a get-together this fall at the falls

7:01 pm

why not molls?

7:02 pm

Peri and I are meeting up in Philly and driving up to Niagara and crossy may be meeting us there and then we'll go to his place for a day or two. Anyone who wants to join is welcome!! Just let me know and will fill you in on details closer to that time.

7:03 pm

maybe lunch at the fallsview casino. we can all win a jackpot

7:03 pm

Your body has trouble healing when it's busy trying to metabolize alcohol.

7:03 pm

when mimi?

7:03 pm

Sorry...I'm extending the invite to the Falls only...won't presume to invite anyone to crossy's.

7:03 pm

ah ty for that information molls

7:03 pm

gambling is a sin *straightens halo*

7:04 pm

first babbler to win 500k, buys lunch for everyone:)

7:04 pm

lol, JMC, I am a sin just standing here breathing

7:04 pm

We stayed at a casino when we visited the stids too

7:04 pm

JMC, nice new giant icon.

7:04 pm

Thanks, Molly. I appreciate the concern. I've worked in medicine for 40 years so I'm pretty good at diagnosing and treating..(and I actually didn't have that much vodka...wouldn't want to risk another fall).

7:05 pm

40 years in medicine. Wow.

7:05 pm

Don't have a date pinned down yet, jmc, but I'm thinking late September.

7:05 pm

oh i see i need to shrink my pic. . . brb

7:05 pm

vodka and other lovely grain spirits do impede somewhat, but the trade-off usually works for me

7:06 pm

My main reason for the vodka this time was because I'm just to good at resting, so it helped me do what I had to do and stay still.

7:06 pm

tbh, things have been dryer that a popcorn fart around here last three weeks. it is a sad state of affairs:(

7:06 pm

just NO good, that is.

7:07 pm

it is ok, mimi, i can read, and possibly invented typonese

7:07 pm

LOL.

7:08 pm

But I type for a living!! Soooo sad....

7:08 pm

Now really going....honest....later and hugs again...double poink!

7:08 pm

Or re-poink!

7:10 pm

Niagara Falls is 7 hours away from me. A little far. Too bad!

7:11 pm

but we could meet up in Philly Min. . . .

7:12 pm

JMC can always figure out a way to get to a Babble convention.

7:12 pm

Trader Kate may come, too, and I'm trying to convince JillyJill and Aloy to join...we shall see. Tripe re-poink!!

7:12 pm

Miss Piggy is British? Who'd of thought. . .

7:12 pm

Mimi is doing that in and out thing again. : D

7:12 pm

haha mimi can't leave!

7:12 pm

Molly---couldn't you join us in Philly?

7:13 pm

i love babble conventions. . . playing scrabble was the best!!!

7:13 pm

Think about it, everyone...must really get going...we'll talk more later. Hugs and, yet again, poink!

7:13 pm

min my icon is a decent size now. . . (i think)

7:15 pm

all it takes is a car and a desire molls. . .

7:16 pm

great picture, JMC:)

7:18 pm

lol, mimi, right now I am typing for my supper as well.

7:19 pm

hi all!

7:20 pm

suze!! get a chance to read those two pieces i sent you?

7:20 pm

at least I think it was you. My short term memory is terrible

7:20 pm

I read the short story, crossy, but am deciding whether I want to reread Of Mice and Men before I read the other one.

7:21 pm

haha. Yes, it was me :-)

7:21 pm

anyway, I definitely enjoyed the short story! Are you thinking of trying to get some of your work published?

7:21 pm

a yes, Jackson Street. there is an entire novel in my head for that one:)

7:21 pm

I am, suze

7:22 pm

cool!

7:22 pm

Of Mice and Men is a fast read at 106 pages, and it may be best to read the book first

7:22 pm

that's what I was thinking. I'm a fast reader anyway.

7:23 pm

i sat and read it for the first time this year in four hours

7:29 pm

Steinbeck writes a lot like Hemingway and Jack London; the stories themselves are a simple thing, but it is the descriptions and the picture they paint for our mind's eye to see that make the tale.

7:29 pm

Indeed.

7:30 pm

This grid is really eating my lunch. Going to list even though I have 34 left and 3 blank tiles (although I do have nbs...)

7:30 pm

sorry internet in China is pretty crappy

7:31 pm

Mowatt also writes in this manner. My favorite from him are Grey Seas Under and The Serpents Coil

7:31 pm

no, probs, JMC:)

7:31 pm

i am in the doldrums here with 32 left:(

7:31 pm

hi jmc! You're in China? How cool!

7:32 pm

yes! our JMC is owning the planet!!

7:34 pm

ok, got one of my blank tiles, the leftmost e

7:34 pm

and now the k...

7:34 pm

I still have two blank tiles; the I and the A in the centre column

7:35 pm

Ah, I managed to get both of those on my own. Want stats?

7:35 pm

i have yet to make it to a babble meet up in britain. . . :-(

7:36 pm

i would love stats. . . out of practice

7:37 pm

ir5/10 and ar5/10 for those two lone tiles in the center column

7:37 pm

Has there ever even been a get together of Babble people in Britain? So many people here who play, and yet I have not heard of any of them gathering in such a small place.

7:37 pm

there was one that i know of. . .

7:37 pm

and finally nbt, with the upper right lone o...

7:38 pm

but it is like the difference between the fly-over-zone and the east coast. . . people on the east coast are amazed when i drive 5 hours. . . not so much in Texas. . .

7:38 pm

wtg uu

7:38 pm

Ah, must have been an "old timer" thing.

7:39 pm

got the ar but still looking for the ir

7:39 pm

nm

7:39 pm

don't let it get you really angry, jmc :-)

7:40 pm

haha ty uu

7:41 pm

good clue, uu, jmc too quick on the uptake!

7:41 pm

:-)

7:41 pm

hi stidgmere

7:42 pm

stats for the k please

7:42 pm

i will try to be slower next time . . . .;-)

7:42 pm

ke 4/8

7:43 pm

Hi jmc, and uu and all. Great to see you both on the same chat!

7:44 pm

i is in Beijing stidgmere. . . lots of time on a beautiful morning

7:44 pm

hi gmere!

7:45 pm

Oh my jmc what a surprise for me to find you in China!. UU are you closer to the great Northwest?

7:45 pm

fireworks!

7:45 pm

whooo hooo uu!

7:46 pm

Congrats uu!!

7:46 pm

no i am a thousand miles from the coast and then there is the pacific. . . i think i am farther

7:46 pm

yaaa for suze!!

7:46 pm

but weds i am going to shanghai. . .

7:47 pm

Are you on vacation for business or both jmc?

7:47 pm

I'm home, gmere, so I'm closer to the northwest than jmc is but otherwise not close :-)

7:48 pm

vacation!

7:48 pm

anyway I am off to goof off for a while, may come back later to clue

7:48 pm

tc suze

7:48 pm

even i couldn't figure out a way to make this a business trip. . . haha

7:48 pm

Vacation, great! Bye uu. Glad to see you with my ever excellent vision.

7:48 pm

bye uu! *waves fan*

7:49 pm

jmc, glad you have the ability to kick back this week!

7:49 pm

two whole weeks here

7:49 pm

starting my second week

7:50 pm

yaaa! NBT finally!

7:50 pm

whoo hoooo crossy

7:50 pm

i am sure the time there is going way too fast,JMC

7:50 pm

Good for you crossy, with so few words coming off of letter, difficult to achieve nbt!

7:51 pm

well i need to go buy my airplane tickets to shanghai. . . and time goes too fast everywhere. . .

7:51 pm

bbl maybe. . . .

7:51 pm

*dances out of chog with grace and a fan*

8:00 pm

lol, I can almost picture in my mind JMC dancing atop the Great Wall at sunrise...

8:11 pm

Can almost picture JMC mounting defense of actions in courtroom.

8:19 pm

Hi stidgmere! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.

8:23 pm

Hi minveryork. Doing fine on this Sunday in the grey, misty, Northwest. The grass is growing so fast we are having to mow every week and at that it is way ahead of us.

8:25 pm

I have half a mind to let our grass grow to the bottom of the ground floor windows and borrow a threshing machine from the farmer down the road and just bale the stuff;)

8:26 pm

We would be better off just having a herd of goats wander through the neighbor hood.

8:27 pm

or let it get really tall and cut a garden maze through it:)

8:28 pm

lol, we had three gots once.. on 5 acres. They ate it into a dust bowl in one summer. They ate everything; the bark off the tree, the grass down to bare dirt, all the flowers, and even the trim off the windows and the screen doors if they got loose!

8:28 pm

We could claim aliens did the carving.

8:28 pm

we sold them, and broke even and in two years we had green back once again

8:28 pm

I thought you lived in an apartment.

8:28 pm

Sounds like goats would be way too efficient for our purposes.

8:29 pm

have not lived in this apt forever;)

8:29 pm

we had 5 acres in Erin Ontario

8:29 pm

was nice:)

8:30 pm

Oh, I guess I misunderstood your comment about how you have half a mind to let your grass grow to the bottom of the ground floor windows.

8:30 pm

well, i guess i am being possesive in calling it MY lawn now. Of course, it is not

8:31 pm

how about THE lawn instead?

8:32 pm

they(the goats) will eat ANYTHING, stid

8:32 pm

I hear they use them in parts of the U.S where kuduzu (sp) has become a problem

8:33 pm

on sides of freeways etc. they do a good job

8:34 pm

we were fortunate in that we broke even selling our three at a livestock action that fall.

8:45 pm

While the grass was growing I went ahead and finished the grid. For so few words, it was not easily finished. Nice visiting with you crossy. I'll look foward to seeing you on the grid again, soon.

8:46 pm

tc stidmere and have a good night

bing! the fries are done!

and i gots me some nbt (hi all you lurkers)

9:56 pm

Hello Book Doctor Gwen! How are you? Welcome to puzzle.

9:56 pm

Good Evening Everyone. I just started the grid and am wishing I wouldn't have now

hi nef, hi min

oration, just one of many phantoms today

10:02 pm

Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the chog.

10:03 pm

Three phantom words for me were hotel, lotion and notion.

10:05 pm

I have been saving my last word since 3:56.Story in profile.

scaration = to write spooky stories

10:07 pm

Then I should write a scaration one day Book Doctor Gwen.

sounds like fun 8-)

10:09 pm

Right after I posted; the dog was digging in the garbage in the kitchen, so I had to bag it up and take it out to the trash.

10:10 pm

I just got here when I posted before, so haven't found any phantoms yet, and haven't even found 20 words yet.

10:10 pm

hey all

10:10 pm

no pics tonight, but we got A LOT done the last two days and will take some pics tomorrow when my parents are here for dessert...

10:11 pm

we aren't officially moving in, but we are here such long hours that I gave up trying to eat elsewhere! LOL

not looking forward to any pics from nef's dog-garbage event LOL

10:11 pm

Hi stid! when is the "official" move-in date?

10:12 pm

Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.

10:12 pm

no idea, Nef --- contractor dropped the ball a while back and we are trying to fill in the gaps. He was supposed to schedule inspections as they came due, didn't... and now we are behinder again.

10:12 pm

Grant needs me to take him back to town.

10:12 pm

Gwen, he'sallof11 lbs;so first he has to knock it over and then start digging. I caught him before he started digging (after he tipped it though)

10:13 pm

drive safe, stud!

10:14 pm

stid!

10:14 pm

thanks nef -- I will be on tomorrow or whenever. I ony babble from home now... so if I am "here" you know I am "here!" *wicked in-between living situations mama look*

10:15 pm

(stupid spellcheck doesn't save "new" words I guess

3 to go

10:23 pm

Go Gwen!! You cAn do it!

done, explody thingies, yea!

10:25 pm

YAY, Book Doctor Gwen!!!! WTG!!!

i count 19 "weird" words, for a score of 23% "weird" LOL

lot of headscratching on some of those

10:29 pm

thanks, Gwen. I thought I was just dense tonight!

signing off for now, see y'all next time

10:38 pm

Niters, Gwen. Sleep well!

10:43 pm

Congratulations Book Doctor Gwen on fireworks!Way to go

10:43 pm

Goodbye Book Doctor Gwen! I will see you tomorrow in log

10:43 pm

Did you get your fireworks too Min?

11:01 pm

Heyas kids ..

11:06 pm

Hi torgone. How are you tonight?

11:11 pm

I am well .. Nice holiday weekend in progress ..

11:12 pm

great! We are having a nice weekend too.

11:13 pm

We actually have had several days in a row with temps up to 70 for once this year

11:13 pm

Hello torgone! How are you doing today? Welcome to chog

11:14 pm

I have not entered last word yet. Want to get FWs together tonight Nef? How many more words do U have left to find?

11:14 pm

Heya Min

11:15 pm

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day! Spent 2 hrs outside gardening

11:15 pm

Actually I meant I spent THREE hrs outside today gardening

11:16 pm

We had a hot week(with fires) followed by a cool, cloudy week, now heading into a more seasonably warm week ..

11:16 pm

Min, I have 32 left; but I don't think I'll finish. I've spent too much time outside yesterday and today and am beat.

11:17 pm

I was so hoping that when Gwen announced that she had 3 words left; you'd finish with her. :-(

11:20 pm

(I'm being distracted by a show on the Science Channel about Florida sinkholes. It's very interesting; but makes it hard to concentrate on Babble)

11:23 pm

Those sinkholes are getting brutal ..

11:28 pm

I missed BDG's fireworks.I will enter my last word now then

11:28 pm

According to this show, there are thousands of sinkhole "lakes" in FL and the whole state of Florida is built on Limestone (which is dissolving from the acidic rain). All those sinkhole lakes have these beautiful "homes" on them (they look lik,e mansions to me!)

11:28 pm

GO, MIN!!

11:29 pm

I'm finished! I have my fireworks. My final word was ar7/28

11:30 pm

and (according to this program) the whole state is a ticking time bomb!

11:30 pm

YAY, Min!!! WTG!!!

11:31 pm

Oh that does not sound good Nef! I'm glad I don't live there

11:32 pm

Me too, Min. Every time I tell DH I want to move further south, he just says "bigger Bugs!" and I decide that southern MN is far enough south for me!

11:35 pm
