Carol has adopted a little girl thats now in the 2nd grade who's mom or dad cant stay out of jail or off drugs--she kind of sees me as her grandma and her and I went yardsaling, ate out and to the park. We had a good time and gave Carol a break oh and plus her and I went to see gradyn

there should be a balance. When my nephew's youngest, in London, had his, it was very formal in a really old and elegant synagogue with his mother reading from the Torah in beautiful Hebrew. But the after parties (one little one right after) and a very big one at night at a resto they hired, were important, too
I'm afraid I was brought up by an atheist and a mother who was not observant, so anything I did was totally on my own.
And my son, although he is half Jewish and considers himself a Jew, has a Catholic wife, so neither observes anything

i did not mean in winter, though i have done it. You hang them till they freeze, then bring them in and beat the ice out of them in the cold pantry before they thaw.
then hang in front of wood stove for 20 min and yer all set
of course you can actually break the clothes that way. I once snapped a tea towel in half at minus 40c:)

My cats looked really worried...honestly. The guilty one slinked away and suilked for awhile. They all stayed close to me for two days and every time I'd wince in pain they looked so concerned. They would come up to me and gingerly put a paw on me...sweet.

Hi minveryork. Doing fine on this Sunday in the grey, misty, Northwest. The grass is growing so fast we are having to mow every week and at that it is way ahead of us.
I have half a mind to let our grass grow to the bottom of the ground floor windows and borrow a threshing machine from the farmer down the road and just bale the stuff;)
We would be better off just having a herd of goats wander through the neighbor hood.
or let it get really tall and cut a garden maze through it:)
lol, we had three gots once.. on 5 acres. They ate it into a dust bowl in one summer. They ate everything; the bark off the tree, the grass down to bare dirt, all the flowers, and even the trim off the windows and the screen doors if they got loose!
We could claim aliens did the carving.
we sold them, and broke even and in two years we had green back once again

we were fortunate in that we broke even selling our three at a livestock action that fall.
While the grass was growing I went ahead and finished the grid. For so few words, it was not easily finished. Nice visiting with you crossy. I'll look foward to seeing you on the grid again, soon.

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day! Spent 2 hrs outside gardening

We had a hot week(with fires) followed by a cool, cloudy week, now heading into a more seasonably warm week ..
Min, I have 32 left; but I don't think I'll finish. I've spent too much time outside yesterday and today and am beat.

(I'm being distracted by a show on the Science Channel about Florida sinkholes. It's very interesting; but makes it hard to concentrate on Babble)
Those sinkholes are getting brutal ..

According to this show, there are thousands of sinkhole "lakes" in FL and the whole state of Florida is built on Limestone (which is dissolving from the acidic rain). All those sinkhole lakes have these beautiful "homes" on them (they look lik,e mansions to me!)
