How did today go Rose
i had a good talk with my manager at work today. she is supporting me 100%, and says don't let them push you, just do what your doctor and physio tell, and what our rtw co-ordinator tells you.
good for you and that is great she is working with you and I hope you take her advise and use it
i have taken so much magnesium...lol...i am actually feeling cold. heater is on full bore, but i am feeling the coolth. i was hoping to plant out my tulip bulbs this weekend. i only need about an hour, and no rain, or pain. and it will be done.
lol, pugs, from her attitude, i think she has been hurt at work, and been through the system. she seems to have a lot of empathy.

how is your back? is it improving any? are you able to stand for longer periods without too much pain?
still got the pain but is not as bad as it was or the meds are dulling my brain to it--lol And the last two days I have be doing other things besides running the big press and that may be helping too

good. the spray was if you couldn't reach, and i thought maybe sister could spray you. the spray is also good for when an area is too sore touch. use it fi5, then rub the cream in. but if you are managing with the cream, that is more than okay.

oh, and i have something to sh5 with you. my manager has been on the warpath lately. it seems there are some nurses who aren't documenting as well as they should. she came into recovery today, and said this is a spot inspection,...and picked up my chart to look at it. i am old school, and it's all about documentation, documentation. her eyes nearly fell out of her head when she saw how much i had recorded already for my patient, and he had only been there 15 minutes.
tell all about me? Nothing much to tell, I think. Will go and meet up with some of my friends from the eating disorder group tonight.

it went very well, pugs. We are done now, unless we need them again. In which case we can always give them a call or write them an email, so that is great.
it's no big deal really, documenting. when a big case comes into the room, at least 3 nurses step up, one runs the case, the other two connect cables, check dressings etc to help the main nurse.

they don't seem to realise you are putting yourself through hell just to get this thing back on the road
it is really horrible. If you didn't have that support and if you weren't so strong yourself, you'd be bullied back into overtaxing yourself and end up being worse.

yeah well, you know surgeons. What you have before the op is pain, trouble and suffering. What you have after the op is just some unease. :)

he is going to cut under my elbow to release the nerves, to stop more damage happening, and maybe if I am lucky give some feeling back

no they don't have an idea what causes it, bending of elbow lol?

nerve damage won't heal. But if there are nerves that are pinched now, releasing them from the tension might work to let you get back some feeling. I hope it will!

I know! It is very unpleasant. I lost the feeling in my feet, and have some issues in my hands now too. It is not fun.
they wont allow me to go home on my own, no way will I be able to drive with a dead left hand
better not, lol. Someone to take you home, AND to take good care of you. Make you tea, dinner, give you a hug, and all.

that sucks Sprite....I have been so lucky with this, my GP had just had the same op so was on it immediately, and sent me to the private hospital.....8 weeks from strt to finish. NHS would have been maybe 18 months

those are still the marvelous nail polishes I couldn't order from England. Liz's friend bought them for me, but couldn't send them to me either. But now a friend of hers has a daughter that is visiting Amsterdam on Sunday. She will take them and have them waiting for me at the reception of the hotel.
sprite, despite all my objections because of the colder weather, especially after 5pm, don rode his new motor bike to his men's group last tuesday...now, he is snuffling, and sucking on his asthma inhalers...i told him...you start another sinus attack, no sympathy from me, or massages or injections to stop the vomiting.

found out today that my cat has had a return of his hyperthyroidism. 4 years ago, he was diagnosed and we opted for the radioactive iodine treatment which is supposed to be 98-99% effective. :(
I didn't know that was a problem with animals. On the human side, almost everyone I know has an under active thyroid.

It took one of my friends 8 months on different doses of levothyroxine to get her TSH levels in the right place.

I paid $110. to see The Producers and I thought that was high. Could be the tourist season. My friend is going to see it..she paid $185 for a ticket and the seats arent that great.

well my daughter in law has something similar to crones and she is on a very limited diet and does fine without meds as long as she sticks to the diet. something she found on line. no beans, lentils, bread, potatos, starches, no milk, and nothing with wheat, which is put into for example: garlic powder and onion powder.
