it looks a little like cardiac failure. not too bad now, but doc wants it checked out. short of breath, and soo tired all the time. feet and legs were oedematous to the knees. not so now.

My mom went to a teaching hospital in Philadelpha. Jefferson University Hospital. They let me see her trans esophogeal echo cardiogram on a monitor. It was amazing.

Yes - hard to believe them! The only time I've been to Ballarat, it was a really hot January day.

We had a wonderful paddle on Hemlock Lake yesterday, Crossy. We found a nice beach, brought our folding chairs, had lunch, read, and swam. Perfect day.

I just had a SnapChat from my youngest, who works part time in a hotel, to pay her way through College. A Ladies lavatory, absolutely destroyed with human waste. Me too, Jaxx. It outrages me that people can expect other people to clean up hideous messes. My girl is 19 and was brought up reasonably well. To think that somebody thinks that it's OK for her to clean up their excrement infuriates and excorsises me. Rant over.

My granddaughter has got herself a job as a waitress. Tonight she was half an hour past her leaving time because no-one had cleared up the outside tables. She had gone from 5.15 to 9.45 without a drink. She was thirsty and thought that she would be walking home but dear grandad had gone for her and waited.

Sometime the big Chefs make it more complex than it needs to be as it adds a touch of panache and showmanship. Sometimes it is useful to cut through the glitter.
I have the best recipe for a baked apple desert but you need two punds of your fav apples, a pack of golden cake mix and a tube of crescent roll dough

This evening it will be glitterless. We've had some weeks of pretty warm weather and I just seem to loose any ounce of stifftening I usually have!
Your dessert sounds very nice but I lack 3 out of 3 ingredients. I have heard of appleless apple pie but this would be more minimal than my chicken sauce!

You line a lasagne oven dish with one tube of crescent roll dough, then peel, core, and cut 2 pounds of apples into segments and lay in the dish, then sprinkle 3/4 of the pack of golden cake mix overtop, shaking the dish to get the powder into the crevies , then pour 1/4 pound of butter on top, add 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tbs of brown sugar and bake at 350f till edges of dough are brown

During the Fall harvest you can almost smell the apple presses in action as they make our very own local hard cider in a little town called Thornbury, just 15 minutes up the road from me.:)

Hi minver, I'm doing just fine. Summer is wonderful and the fruit is ripening and the grass growing. We are very much appreciating the season.
We are loving our summer this year. it is perpetual early summer with nights of 9-15c and daytime highs of 15-20 c. Some call it the summer that never was, but I am quite content. I do not need to roast to have a summer.

As I continue with my novel, I find that the way it develops and grows to be almost as interesting as the book itself. (I know you are all probably bored to tears hearing about) but I had been playing with ti all day and doing not much by editing and adding a few words here and taking away the odd word there, so not a whole lot was happening until one hour ago, I get this gigantic flash of inspiration. Actually it is not a flash, and it does not creep up on me but entire chunks of the story suddenly appear in my mind as a whole. So, in the last hour alone, I have added the staggering amount of 6500 words! I Am quite chuffed with myself;))
