Good Morning Sprite!
hey saan :D
we are very close to an -ing grid!
in a gerund about way yes
lolol you were hid-ing in full sight-ing
dutch for pineapple is in the grid, but not valid
that would be 'ananas'
And I found 'saigon'. Which is more than the Americans did.
lolllll hi Dachef :)
good morning dear friends.
there she is, hello dear rose *hug*
{{hugs}} dearest. how was your night?
not too great. A bit too much death and torture. How was yours?
sleepless, but not in seattle
* gentle cuddle *
:( A bit too much stress, all in all, sweetie. I hope you can take a nap this afternoon, or just a nice lie down with a book.
your afternoon is already gone... sorry... early to bed?
BUT.....i still managed to make a lot of phone calls and started the paperwork for conciliation.
very good, rose! You are doing a great job there. So many wild animals pouncing and you are taming them all.
my lawyer is rapt with what i achieved today. also started maneuvers to apply for disability support pension.
I know how stressful that all is. Afterwards you are more tired than if you had walked all day.
don has been amazing...he went through all this when the university retrenched him. he understands how i am feeling so well.
am so glad for you, rose. It is so important that you have someone supporting you and giving you comfort. It is a tough battle.
and sorry Don has gone through this as well
and the bricks are still coming down....don has started in earnest, the kitchen/laundry reno's. * sigh * there is brick/cement/plaster dust EVERY WHERE! including his and my lungs.....
oh god. That is bad timing. You need peace at home in this ordeal.
sprite, you and i are truly blessed with our respective husbands. i don't know what either of us would have done without them.
amen to that, sister. Amen to that.
nah, love, it is sweet music to my ears...i have waited sooo long for this.
hehehe ok, as long as it makes you happy! I would go bonkers in a handbag.
yeah, i know, sweetie.
*hands sprite my new patchwork leather hold-all* it looks big enough, hop in....lol
*jumps right in* I'm a-gonna go with ro-ose, I'm a-gonna go with ro-se!
she ain't heavy, she's my sister ~~~~
I am your sister, but ummm maybe wheels wouldn't go amiss?
roflolol....
haven't you heard? bottom bumps are good for the gluteus maximus!!!
my gluteus is already maximus enough, thank you
mind you....once i am on the floor...just who is going to get me up...lololol
too true! Same here, lol.
* loves sprite's glutes * just because they are attached to the rest of sprite.
awwww that is so sweet! Well, there is plenty enough of me to go around, lol. Ah you have seen it, on the pic with Liz.
and my chatter has kicked saanichcat and ruru out of chog. apologies friends.
not sure where our Saan went, but ru had already said good night, he just came back for a good pun.
for crying out loud, such great endings here and no dice. Only 3 words ending in the charged partical ending.
a real waste, imho.
*nods vehemently* Uh-huh!
not counting the charged particle, plural, sprite?
yeah, not counting that one.
ag5, today i was within a whisker of 200 before i hit the list....and most of the ones on the list, as soon as i saw the 2 letter clue, i knew the word..
wow rose, wtg!
fireflies. Very quick grid today.
so, sweetie...once all the conciliation stuff is over, and i have sorted the disability support payment, we ( don and i ) will get down to the nitty-gritty with our european holiday.
WTG SPRITE!!! and what is on today for you, dear?
awesome rose! I am going to visit some of the b&b's here, see if they are any good.
today is laundry, a bit of cleaning, walking terra, and doing the dishes
okay, that looks manageable for you.
yeah should be ok. Spreading it out over the day
nice, dear....i am still in my pyjamas....i just couldn't face the hassle of a shower.
no reason you should, dear friend. A jammy day is just what the doctor ordered.
despite that...the house is redolent with the aroma of dinner cooking.
mmmm nice. What are you cooking?
sprite, it is so easy. i have put a very cheap cut of beef into the crock pot ( slow-cooker ) and poured over it dehydrated french onion soup combined with a cup of cheap red wine. slow cook for 8 hours. at this time of year, i serve with steamed rice and steamed vegetables. substitute vegs with salad if weather warm.
that sounds delish. I wish we had a crock pot. Not a wellknown item here. Weird, since it is also known as a dutch oven, isn't it?
well, mine is electric. in the normal oven, enwrap the meat and soup mixture( dehydrated soup and red wine) in foil, and bake in the oven for 1 1/2 hours.
am definitely gonna try that some time
at about 180-200C
for tomorrow I have planned to make Chicken Jalfrezi
the red wine tenderises the meat, and combined with the french onion soup it makes a delicious gravy , which i spoon over the steamed rice. adjust amounts according to number of diners and their appetities.
copying and pasting that
oh??? tell all!!
fry onions, add chicken fillet, garlic, red pepper and red and green bell peppers, stir-fry for about 5 mins
add a can of tomato cubes and let gently simmer for 15 mins
add curcuma, coriander and cumin to taste, let simmer another 5 mins. Serve with rice or with naan bread.
can i leave out the bell peppers? they are the hot ones, aren't they?
no, the bell peppers are the sweet ones. You need to leave out the red pepper.
the bell peppers are here known as paprikas, does that ring a bell (pepper)?
ahhh, okay, dear. please make a mental note...hot spices etc are not compatible with your friend.
bell peppers over here are capsicums...i tolerate them cooked, not raw.
ok sweetie, no problem. We will cook according to your taste.
yes, those are the ones. Capsicum annuum.
* giggle* raw capsicums give me a lot of grief...i.e. i break out in large itchy blotches.
aw what a shame, they are so tasty raw. But cooked, yes, yummy too. We will make a favorite dish of mine for sure.. fresh pasta with capsicums and smoked salmon. Capsicums gently cooked with black pepper until it is almost caramelized :)
lolol...my darling...i love them fresh....
but they don't love me...
whoot....i am drooling over the keyboard..
:D Sweetie, I have to go. Am gonna hang up my laundry. *hugs* and sleep well. Meditate before bed... it will help. Lots of love!
and to all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
xoxox, sprite. i hope your day is a blessing to you.
anyone here??
Hello, Rose..just got here if you are still here.
xoxox...zooz. how are you today?
I am well thank you. How did the meeting go?
i so like the way we can chat in 'real' time.
as predicted, company fired me...
So now you go to court?
lawyer and union rep are both delighted. yup, mate...
I love real time chat too! from all different places of earth too.
So now it is time for them to pay. They will be sorry.
So I take it you can not go in anymore and see your work friends?
lolol...my feelings exactly...my lawyer is absolutely exaltent.
I suppose it will take time before going to the courts...or i it a quick process?
is*
zooz, i said my physiological good-byes. but my colleagues/friends are not satisfied with that. they are planning a 'good-bye' event for me.
Aww that is sweet of them.
and my lawyer is so om my case...
I remember you saying you knew one of them for many years I am sure you have her details to keep in contact. At least that would be something.
zooz...you are on the mark...my friend has wept so much....
Sorry had a phone call.Well at least you can keep in contact when all this is over.Have you thought about any other type of work utill your 2 1/2 year retirement comes up?
zooz...i have thought....i am hoping that the interval is not so important...
I think that would be best, Rose. That is what I was thinking.
zooz...i am reconciled to my early retirement..
Will be glad when all this mess is over for you though, Rose.It must be one headache after another.
Well there are plenty more doors ready to open for you, Rose. open them and enjoy yourself. That is what I would do.
zooz, exactly...my lawyer is champing at the bit...and i have to admit....so am i...
zooz...you are so close to the mark...i have at least 3 doors open to me...
Good for you, Rose! grab life by the horns and go for it.You have to.Otherwise you will only say the dreaded words..."What if"
Now only if I could apply that to myself..LOL
i am not blaming my unit manager or my DON...if her of them l.ooking at my CEO, they would realise he is a heart attack waiting to happen.
* either *
and when i went in for my meeting...my unit manager has resigned...this company needs to wake up...it is losing qualified staff at the rate of knots.
Well that is there down fall. They have got too big for their own good. you need a well looked after work force.
mind you...qualified staff cost so much more compared to what the company want to employ.
You need to employ qaulity to get quality, Rose.
company want to employ staff who cannot speak the 'queen's english' and patients are paying for iot.
* it *
Well from what I have seen. You do not need to speak the queens english to be good at a particular job.But I get your point.
zooz.. the queen's english is a major part of our future health care.
Have you heard from, Puglet, latley, Rose?
zooz..puget is okay...waiting for response to her partner.
Thank you.Glad she is OK.
The queen's english should be good enough to meet the highest employment standards ... but you need to know the king's english as well to get by on Babble!
lol Good point.
hello
Hello, Ruby :-)
DIL is here but her suitcase took an extra 24 hrs to arrive and we waited up 'til midnight
{{zzoozz}}
{{zzoozz}}
p=up ads all over the place. Aaaargh! Save me from experts!!!
{{rosie}}
{{ my darling}} ruby
So a late night for you all then, Ruby. Hope you had a good nights sleep. Going anywhere nice today with your Daughter in law?
what zooz said
I sent he to have lunch with her father so I could have some peace and see my friends
I made a grand dinner last night and tonight's is already cooking
lol....xoxox to you, dearest
ruby...you are amazing...
I'm just not used to all the chatter and casn't stand hearing Burt's old stories yet AG***
Ahh I see.Yes I must admit i am not too keen on too much real life chatter.About an hour is enough for me..lol
I bet your dinners are wonderful, Ruby!
zzoozz understands
I think I'm becoming crotchety
yup...ruby is okay....
and himself is serving dinner...
ruby...you are so not on the edge,, my dear...burt needs to shut the f***k up.
I made guinea hen, vilet artichokes and sweet potatoes (plus shrimp cocktail of course) and a fruit/cookie tart
violet*
ruby !!!!! you are amazing.
Wow that is a lot of work.I hope they all appreciated your efforts.
zoooz..how are the aunt and unce?
the tart/cookie had fruit from the garden: blackberries and plums
and for old Burt I made a fruit salad and asparagus because he won't eat sweets or artichokes
and dinne has just arrived...cyul8r
bye cutie
Enjoy your meal, Rose.
All that talk of food has made, Rose hungry..lol
I wish somebody would cook for me!
Same here, ruby. cooking for one is so annoying.
the problem here is that I'm cooking stuff for Burt that I don't eat, stuff for the pups, etc. At least with DIL here, she really appreciates whatever I make; I just wish they would stop talking
lol
How long is she there for, Ruby?
10 days but, hopefully, I can get her to help me sort papers in the studio
Good idea! I should think they are chatting like mad as for your DIL she is excited about seeing you both and for DIL it is someone new to tell his life stories to :-)
They might run out of mouth gas after a couple of days.
one can hope. I thik, however, she has heard all the stories many times before, but as long as I don't have to be in the roon, I'm OK
And I've invited soe neighbors over for cocktails as the weather is fabulous and we can sit on the deck
I am glad the nice weather has returned for you, Ruby.It has become a lot cooler here now.In fact it has been rather cool here for over a week. Not much sunshine either.I think our summer is over.
It's cool at night, which is pleasant for sleeping. Tuesday, however, we had a really ugly storm with lots of wind. torrential rain and even hail. But at the end, the sun came out and it was beautiful
If the rai starts again and we have to be in the house all the time, I may have to either blow myself up or shoot the two of them
LOL ((Ruby))
I bet making that blackberries and plums from your garden was very satisfying .And taste wonderful!
Nothing like the fresh taste of your own fruit & veg.
no insecticides
and still warm and fresh
Making me hungry now..lol
I have got some apples on my apple tree. And they are starting to look very tasty!
Will have to wait til near the end of October for them to be ready.
good morning my friends:)

I attended a lecture on food shame the other night, so I was interested to see "am being bad today - have a cinnamon roll" : )
riverdance is having hte same thing molly:)
Yes, I meant I was interested to see her comment.
you wouuld have to open the chat to see it i think?
I usually have wheat toast or english muffin at work
am being bad today - have a cinnamon roll
that is what River said
IN 6 clue please?
never midn
mind
tong
What did the lecturer say about food shame? I hate to see it myself.
It was interesting Sally. About how we use words to shame ourselves regarding food. Ergo, having a cinnamon roll = being bad instead of having a treat.
I was being bad with that hooker last night....oh never mind
No, you were treating yourself. : D
Ha..
It rhymes
Eat muffin, wear muffin, I always say. It's not bad, just a choice.
I'll go with that word
I'm always interested in people's thoughts about the power we give words.
Hi, back again for a bit
Yes, Molly, the things we say to ourselves have a lot of power. I try not to say anything to myself that I wouldn't say to a really good friend. Why hurt my own feelings?
((ruru)) Were you quake-proof or did you get shaken?
He was shaken, not stirred : D
Not proofed.. but my house got proofed.
Good one, Molly!
The largest one I felt when I lived in so. CA was a 4.8...no biggie.
hello
All my things got broken or knocked over.
Good morning, y'all!
Oh no, Ru! I hope the Audi wasn't damaged!
Hi Judi
hi judi
There is a funny bit on The West Wing about how shaking a martini actually breaks down the ice more than gently stirring it. Therefore, 007 is saying he drinks weak martinis. : D
ruru are you broken?
Also, about the "food talk," I think the minute you associate any food with a "no-no" attitude, it becomes almost unavoidable to crave it.
Almost judi.. but part of the roof sprinkled down on it
That was the point of this lecture Mimi. It seems to be a habit of women moreso than men to use the "shame talk".
I just have some cuts mlf..nothing broken
*GASP*
thats good ruru.. only one of you you know?
Thank goodness both you and the car are okay.
I think women might me more aware of engaging in shame talk but I believe men do so as well..they just might not be as cognizant of it.
Chicks dig cars and scars.
I have shame talk all the time M olly. "Oh Ru...you bad boy!"
Thoughts take on lives, I believe, and if you create negative thought patterns, you will be unhappy. In recent years I've sort of trained myself to focus on the positive and it makes a really big difference not just in the way I feel but the way others treat me. It's a "vibration" kind of thing.
does anyone have any idea what the 3 T words are on the first column? one is tw i tink another is te but i cant find the third word for that T?
There's some te4's and ta4's, MLF.
Mike Dooley says "thoughts become things, think the good ones"
Gotta agree with you, Mimi. Negative, grumbly people have a tendancy to suck the life out of a room.
ty judi
The other one I like (Dan Zadra) is "worry is a misuse of the imagination".
... and the life out of others around them.
That is a really good one, Molly. Years ago I also trained myself not to worry.
Oh gosh..thank god we don't see any negative people here
Chase Bank just got hacked. Awesome. That's who we have our Visa credit card with.
Uh OH!
*sings* "Always look on the bright side of life..."
My kids were teenagers and starting to ride in cars with friends driving...TERROR! So instead of worrying constantly, I had a talk with myself, saying "Will worrying change whatever is going to happen?" The answer is no, so why put yourself through all that when generally whatever bad outcome you're worried about doesn't happen anyway, so you've totally wasted time and energy.
Hi Kiddies
Me too judi
I'm with Chase, too!! What do we have to worry about now?
I try Judi :)
I keep meaning to sign up for LifeLock. I guess I'd better do it now.
Judi, what is lifelock?
its a securit thing i think for your home?
ty Fan
security
Morning hego
It's a credit/social security/bank account monitoring service. I think the subscriptioni price is about $125 a year.
Hi Sukee
Judi, interesting.
They send you text alerts if there's a suspected breach of your account/information.
ah for bankingi have heard of it but got that wrong sorry hego
np
I'm off again, see you all later
Fan, I love your hieroglyph
what if people open up new accounts or credit cards in your name, do they alert you to that too?
thank you hego:)
I have been planning to sign up for liplock..but haven't gotten around to it...:D
Yes they do, JJ.
Ha ha, Ruru. NOT the same.
lol Ruru :D
i will be back going to go eat now
liplock - I'm down for that
Ru, maybe typeLock too.
I buy Ziploc, but that really doesn't make me feel very secure.
Dont feel shameful mlf
haha
We are already protected by our banks (I think all of them) against fraud. I'm more concerned about computer viruses and the like at home.
Why, Judi...too "transparent?" tee hee
haha Mimi
The good part about LifeLock is, it prevents theft and fraud before it can happen. ID theft can be a real hassle after the fact. You have to call all the credit reporting companies and put a flag on your credit. Your credit rating can take a real beating.
((hego))
hiya baby
Hego...LOVED your "temptation" posting on FB!!
good one, no?
And right on the mark for MY personality!
If you keep resisting temptation you'll never have any fun.
Not only have I rarely resisted it, I welcome it!
You go girl!
Also, my son sent me a video of my grandsons being totally crazy and I wrote back to him saying "You know I will encourage that sort of thing!"
cute
"When I'm good, I'm very good. When I'm bad, I'm better." Mae West.
lol
And Groucho Marx...Life is a banquet and most poor fools are starving to death. Amen and hallelujah, brother!
I always say computers are like "the little girl with the curl." Alas, many younger people don't know that saying.
Must get to work. Have a good one, everybody, and NO WORRIES!! Hugs all around.
I remember her.
bye Mimi
hello agin

howdy hego:)
I don't mind definition clues, but they are often met with "I don't get it"
as do I
true Molly
molly pretty much
Also, it follows that if you know the definition, you know the word and would not be asking for a clue, but that is not always the case either.
All clues are good, Molly. lol
Ergo, there is no logic in Babble.

Good evening/afternoon/morning all.
hello soodle
Hey Teach. :-) How is life in WV?
hi Soodle, I'm not often on at this time of day
Ah!! Hey Flosey. Lovely to see you. :-)
beautiful day today
hello flosey - don't usually see u on
am in Toronto area for 3 weeks, visiting sons and also having a cousins gathering
And here too... For the last 2 weeks, it has been really REALLY cold, but today was just lovely.
at home , BC we're 3 hours earlier
There is a pot of chicken fajita soup on the stove and life is good. : )
Flosey, I read somewhere that if a person pronounces the final T in Toronto, they are not Canadian. I must have said Toronto 10 thousand time to get it right... LOL
enjoy your visit - haven't been there for awhile - but have many wonderful memoriesof previous times there
Assuming Oliver Twist pose, and approaching Molly with bowl in outstretched arms.....
*Ladles some soup for Soodle*
Slurp.
Hi, soodle, flosey, teach and molly
hello jaxx
We are attempting to conquer head colds from hell in my house, so hot and spicy is soothing.
Soodle, I must confess, you will hear it pronounced Trana but that is lazy slang type of talk
I agree Flosey.
The soup sounds delicious, soodle
guess you've heard it Molly?
My husband was Canadian (he passed a few years ago) and he hated hearing Trana.
good to hear that Teach, I too have many happy memories here - hubby worked north of TO for 30 years but really lived to come back to BC and become a farmer
the land where he grew up
was your hubby from Ontario, Molly?
Yes Flosey, the northern part.
ah, how far north?
we are about 6 hours south of Ontario and have vacationed at several places in the area - lots of good camping just north of Toronto - but we also enjoyed BC when we were able to go out there for my nephews wedding several years ago - he lives in vancouver but was married up in the mountains at a provincial park just east of there
lovely, Teach, my 2 daughters live in Van. so we see a fair bit of them
our sons were quite settled by the time we left ON so they'
still here
he is at the university of vancouver getting a phD in music
lovely, Teach
Would dearly love to visit Canada. My brother lived in NFL (where else?) for 12 years, and I bitterly regret never visiting him there. I would also love to visit Vancouver. Sigh.
lots of babblers to visit here Soodle
we're on a small island between the mainland and Vancouver Island
did he live with Roger Goddell Soodle?
Okaaay... . Sorry Ru, No idea of what you speak....
(I just KNOW I'm going to regret that...)
can someone please clue et6 and 7?
et + hello + not off
thanks ru, great clue
Oh sweet clue. Thanks Ru.
Soodle, just watched Who do you think you are? about the murder of Peter O'Carroll in 1920. Are you related? His grandson is Brendan O'Carroll of Mrs Brown's Boys.
Really, Jaxx? As you know, my pre-marriage name was O' Carroll, but I never heard of a murdered Peter. But then.... there's probably a whole lot of stuff I didn't heaar about. I must watch that programme on the real player.
It was part of the problems that resulted in the partition of Ireland. Very interesting. I won't spoil the outcome for you.
Still missing that pesky A in the lower right hand corner. A clue would be appreciated...?
of your rear end
Nope.. I have that one (natch), but it's not off that A..
Jaxx, no civil unrest is straightforward, Irish civil unrest was even more convoluted than most. I'm very proud that a namesake of mine was involved!!
This followed the clues that were ignored at the time either unwittingly or deliberately. have a wander through the genealogy sites. You might find that this poor man is a relation of yours. Even I have an O'Carroll in my family tree.
Soodle, like your brother did I'm sure, you would have been right at home with the Newfies. They have Irish souls.
AN 5/10 - AN + first letters of "not first"
Or an + what comes before Vegas
My mind goes straight to "second" when I see "not first"
Sorry, I got distracted by a FB friend request from somebody I hadnt heard from in years. (The positive side of FB). O'Carroll is a relatively uncommon name, so maybe we are related, Jaxx? And Molly, according to my bro, Newfoundland was just a colder version of Ireland. I have to take his word on that, cos I never got there. Grr.
*Wonders if the "friend" request was male or female* : D
Ah, Molly, you old FB sceptic, you.
Why am I a skeptic to wonder if it was male or female? It was just a joke. : )
Nope, Molly
I didn't call you a sceptic. I called you a FB sceptic!!
I know your antipathy toards FB...
Any hints for my last 4,it"s
the 2nd ti4?
omg, just got it ;)
I haven't completed the grid, Lexi, so I don't know which T you are seeking..
And Fireworks for Lezi... Well done!!!!!
My husband had a great greatgrandfather that went off to Newfoundland in the 19th century and set up a fishing community there. There are still descendants of his in Teignmouth and Nigel's last licensee when he was salmon fishing was a relation of his who had family connections in Newfoundland and had visited those relations. Fishing families tend to be insular and have been over the centuries.
I wish, 74 to go, I just finished the 4's hahaha
Premature congratulations, Lexi, My bad.
Do you suffer from PC? Premature congratulations? Then try, "Babble"!
Sheesh, Jaxx.... we coulda been neighbours...
hints for the wa 8/8/9 please anyone ?
lol, car
ROFL Car. ((())) How delightful to see you!
I'm on vacation!
I think we would have got on equally well if we were
For sure, Jaxx!
Car is on vacation, and I'm not. Bleugh. I have an eary start in the morning. So I will say g'night to all, and thanks for the company. To quote an early Babbler... Poofing wth hugs
{{Soodle}}
Night, soodle. Sleep well and take care

Hi Min, welcome back

Hello MollyL! Thanks! I am on vacation and STILL no time for Babbling! Now my vacation ends next week. It sucks!
I think ni5 is an ordinal number
Min, your vacation sucks? I think we have a trend going on here.
where are you,min?
You are right MollyL, it is an ordinal number. Thank you!
I'm home here in New York, but I have been off all month
My vacation sucks in that I have to spend it with hubby!
oh, that is bad.
It sucks that I've to go back to work next week too. I've been dealing with hubby's health issues so it may be a good thing if I go back to work. Hopefully hubby will be going back to work again soon too! Hubby has been out on disability all summer. Ruined my summer!
I sound very selfish right now,but I'm just venting. Sorry
*shuts up and puts nose back in the grid*
it's ok. many of us have been there.
see you later, min.
Min, I feel bad for you and your husband issues.
And you don't sound selfish
lower corner A stats?
think it is an6.18 - or maybe an7.36 pehaps - anyway not aq or ar. Helpful aren't I?
an 5
at least it is something to work with! ty
Hi all :)
Hi
hello there Liz
got it, ty saan
but you did help me find 2 more an6, lynxx! just didn't come from that a - lol
terrific!
it is amazing how good I have gotten at making up words
they should test pre- and post- babble creative skills ; )
yes and today you just need to include 'gan'
Hi sannich. Doesn't this grid look like it wants an onion?
or -ate also, lynxx
needs an onion... and an otitis... so close
Lovely vowel combinations that go nowhee.
Waste of a -tion ending, though I have used the ion ending. Perhaps it'll be used in one of my missing 47 words!
Ikeep trying that too liz!
Thought a -ing would have been nice, too.
It sort of jumps out at you!
with ing it would be 300+ words
Add the tion and you could be looking at another 744+
I have lots more words on the grid to find, 135.
I just broke the 50 barrier... getting tedius
I'm not finding this grid easy though last night, others said they did :(
and creative
or tedious.
yes, left out the o
Not disagreeing!
though typos in the grid box often prove to be profitable
I'm being far too picky. I think it is the fact I have time on my hands and have not been a very successful accompanist this morning. One of those days when there were 10 thumbs and too few fingers.
Hello again all! I have posted story in profile and I am out
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I will see you tomorrow
gn min, will go read the story
Hi minver. May the force be with you as you set your sights on the school year ahead.
BBS and will read your story, Min.
could I have a clue for the third ga5/14 pls?
I don't have that ga word, harry.
the 3rd I have is part of a french cooking term "bouquet ga5" - a bunch of herbs tied together in a pot
ty kje. I love that little package in soups.
no idea...
here - google this! - bundle of herbs usually tied together with string and mainly used to prepare soup, stock, and various stews
ty kje :)

ga5...first three of where you park your car + first two of the number after eight
in6...in + short for Mr. Hawthorne

CiociaJudy - if you were asking about the latest "San Francisco" earthquake - it didn't really affect SF, just scared a lot of people out of their sleep. If kje lives in Napa, then yes, there were a lot of injuries (and damage -- much to wine bottles) but no deaths.
the earthquake affected ruru
he must be near or in the Napa area then
he lives in Napa
Good evening Babblers
Ah, well then, of course. If you're right on top of a 6.1 you just feel the shaking -- and this one went on for quite a while (more than the usual three or four back-and-forthing) so you can't know for sure that it isn't The Big One. I lived in Japan for 7 yrs and SF for the past 34 and I'd rather have the occasional tremor than a long time without a shake-up.
Hi everyone...could I get a clue for the in6 please?
in + mr. hawthorne....
It means a trait you are born with.
Or what you did with the meal at the hotel.
sorry, Judy - I had run down to pt laundry in. I am fine. It woke us up around 330 in the morning, a book fell off the shelf, but that was it. No real damage in SF. Napa was closer to the epicenter and had lots of damage... lots
Any clues for the ag7?
I can't tell you how may times I have tried Napa in the grid.
ag7 is the inability to recognize objects
it is a neurology term

ag + 3/4 of proboscis + 2 vowels

It looks like it could be the religious belief of a sceptic.

glad you had no damage kje! the pics from Napa were horrible.
apparently one winery lost almost half it's stock according to one of my colleagues - I wonder how much the earthquake will cause the price of CA wine to increase
