LOLOL...hello dear friend....{{hugs}}
hehehe finally :) Hi dear friend, how are you today?
great. i feel cold !!!! had the second full strength magnesium today.
oh my, good milestone! Looks like it really is helping. Awesome :D
* sigh * and he was such a nice squirrel
*grins* He'll be around, rose, don't worry
it was fantastic. about a third intothe infusion, i felt all my muscles relaxing. if i had been home and in bed, i would have rolled over and gone to sleep. it was bliss.
oh wow! Must be such a relief, to finally be able to feel your muscles relax.
it s sprite. you don't realise how tense they are, until they relax. lol
ain't that the truth!
did you get a chance to ask him about a link between incontinence and CSS?
no, he just canulated me and ran out the door. i am to have a proper consult with him next week.
lol ok :) No rest for the wicked... or for doctors!
I hope you will sleep beautifully, rose, with those relaxed muscles and no hot flashes and no cramps. No alarm clock, you hear? Just... sleep!
oh for goodness sake. i asked don when doc martin came on, and he said 12 minutes past 4. and i said okay just after 4 then, to which he said, no 2 minutes past 4 is just past four. and i said it's lucky you are wearing your glasses...he repeated what he had said, looked at me and said, i'm going to wear these glasses for a very long time, aren't i?
oh, sprite i am so looking forward to tonight.
lololllll oh my god, rose, this is about exactly what Rob could have said... they are alike in that way, aren't they?
oh, dear....we may have problems separating the two of th4.
Quick hi and hugs - have internet problems, so tethering iPad to phone. Glad magnesium working :) now going back to lurk!
*giggles*
they will probably finish each others sentences, too. we aren't going to stop laughing the whole time.
hi Liz, how unpleasant, I hope it gets solved quickly. *hugs* for you both.
lol am picturing that now.
oh my gosh. watching the news. the people of fiji are actually lined up for 100's of metres, waiting to vote. you never see anything like that here
here neither. We are taking democracy for granted here, don't we... not realising how blessed we are.
such patience, no pushing or arguments. kids behaving beautifully. no sausage sizzle, no cake stalls...
amazing
fireflies. Not a bad grid at all today.
ok sweetie, I'll leave you to your tv :) Big *hug* and lots of love. And enjoy that sleep tonight!
WTG SPRITE!!! enjoy your day, sweetheart.
smush not in the dictionary. it's a word. It's a cromulent variant on smoosh.
lol, seain. i thought so too. how are you mate?
too much tea too late, so awake yet at 4:30 in the morning. Weee! otherwise well. And you ms. rose?
roflol....know that feeling well. ugh ! seain, have started treatment of intravenous magnesium...my life is so much better.
i'm really glad to hear that. :)
well-balanced minerals are important.
apart from the over-loaded bladder problem, how are you? love your pic of jmc
That was toward the end of her annual End of Summer party, a lovely time always. :)
And she knows and invites so many interesting people.
nice, seain. hmmm end of your summer, end of my winter...now i know when to plan my trip to the americas.
Yes, depending on where in the US/Canada, Summer is May-Sep, Jun-Aug, Jul-Sep. Here in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area, i think April and October are the nicest times to visit.
okay, i guess i am going to be emailing a lot of you....or i need to spend a lot of time over there.
a HS friend of mine is visiting at the end of the month. He lives in Melbourne.
Well, those of us in Virginia, DC, Maryland, Deleware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey have gotten together several times in various parts of our region. And i'm sure we'd be happy to get together for you if you were in our ballpark region. :)
oh ??? where about in melbourne ?
hm. I'd have to do some digging. Hm. i'll have to find out. :) Two of my HS friends live there -- one's house hunting now -- they're looking in Box Hill.
i see that that's E of Melbourne proper.
box hill same side of melbourne central as me.it's about 30-45 minutes from me, depending on the time and day.
wouldn't it be lovely to meet up? i am thinking of an aussie meet...
i know here in North America, we've had a number of regional meet-ups, if not a in a while.
on that note, it's a bit after 5 here (Grid Time+1). I think i might get some sleep now.
Australia is on my bucket list but |I don't think i'll ever get there. I'll be lucky to get to Switzerland agai and it's only 35 minutes away! :(
it's been lovely chatting, and i hope you have a lovely evening
hi and bye, ruby, hope you have a good day.
seain, hope you can settle to that lovely deep sleep which refreshes. xoxox
hi and bye sean, off to the movies and for sushi this afternoon. Yay!
hi {{rosie}}
{{hugs}} ruby dearest.
nice day you have planned, hun.
what are you going to see?
about once a month, my friend Catherine and I have an afternoon
We go to the multiplex and take our chances
don't really care, it's just great to get out of here
lol...the best way...
and if there's nothing appealing, we just go shopping and walk around
yeah, i hear you friend. when i go out with my friend, june. i clamber into her car and say...get me outta here!.
same script! lol
roflol...
and now I have to make lunch for himself who has been walking in circles all morning. I came downstairs at 8"30 and he was already finishing his aperitif!
I wish I had nothing to do!
please don't get me wrong...i love don to pieces...but i just have to be away from him in order to stay with him. does that make sense?
definitely! That's why retirement is so difficult.
no you don't ruby. i cannot do stuff. it drives me nuts. in my head, i can do so much...reality...i cannot do it.
No, what I mean is, my day is filled with little tasks -- a load of laundry here, a meal there, a dog walk here, etc. I would love to just sit around and read
I loved working and don't love being a caregiver!
only for a short period, dear. then your brain would kick in with...what's next?
ya think?
what you need is a massive dose of grannyrose...
I'm waiting for that.....!!!!
so am i, love...it cannot happen too soon.
i am just hanging in there. waiting for social service's answer to my application for a pension. and wondering what the outcome of conciliation will be. i just want to be free to live my life again.
the phone just rang twice -- first a telemarketer ("sorry, I don't speak French" and then my husband "What is the plan today -- it's written on our daily calendar!!!))
must go, *poof*
oh, dear, ruby....{{hugs}} and kisses dear
zooz ??? where are you mate??
Here :-)
Summer is still holding on here.Thank goodness!
xoxox...are you well ? ho9w is the mother ?? is the weather still being kind to you ?
ahhhh, you answered my last question.
Mother is fine.Althogh they are having a wet room fitted and they do not like people running up and down the stairs all day bless them..lol
I ma well also :-)
am*
i have more tulip bulbs than i planted sprouting. I DIDN'T KILL TH4!!!
YaY for you! Hope they are all different colours?
my first is about to bloom...never has a tulip bulb been so closely monitored...lol
i hope so, zooz. i bought a bag of mixed bulbs.
Teehee! I love potting about in my garden. I have no plan or idea of what I am doing. But I enjoy it non the less.
ditto zooz. and the sun is showing more and more. don has started bringing down the brick chimney between the kitchen and laundry. my dreams are very close to being realised.
I used to rake up all the fallen leafs in the autumn. But then I watched a time lapsed video of the leafs on the ground and all these worms popped up and pulled the leaves underground it was amazing. That is what give the soil nourishment!
Sounds like a lot of work.Glad he is getting it done though :-)
wow!! zooz..such an incredible thing to see.
Well it was on TV I did not do the time lapse video myself but yes it was amazing.Nature IS amazing!
you and me both zooz. we have such a tiny kitchen...and nowhere for an eating area.
I too have a tiny kitchen. So I eat in my front room and watch TV.Not enough room the the kitchen for a table. That is how small my kitchen is :-(
yeah...i hear you...i have a very small table in the kitchen. about 2' by 3'. when we open up the two rooms we will be able to have a 4' diameter round table in there.
I think American people would be shocked by the size of a lot of our kitchens and other rooms here in the UK. They seem to have much larger and better built properties there.
That does sound better, Rose more room to sit down and enjoy your meal :-)
zooz....most homes/houses were built for a much smaller race
My house in the winter gets so cold and that is with the heating on full.I sit there with a duvet around me and a wollen hat..lol And that is no joke.
the americans have had unlimited space available.
Hence the reason why I am enjoying the summer still holding on here :-)
ugh, zooz. what sort of heating do you have?
Crappy economy seven which is to say it comes on at night and heats up these brick things inside the heater and it is supposed to release the heat during the day.The only problem with that is.That it goes cold by about 9pm :-(
But my house is so crap built (it is newish) it does not hold the heat in!
All the older house we lived in in, in the past, say pre 1930s were much better built and held the heat in so much better than these crap new ones.
oops too many ins there..lol
lolol, zooz.would it be easier and cheaper to buy some 'portable' heaters. and leave the other turned off ?
I had better take my leave as I need to check on my parents to see if they are coping okay with the builders still running rampage in their house..lol
Not with the price of electricity & gas the way it is.No, Rose :-(
oh, dear, zooz. hope all is well with the olds.
Toodle pips for now. It was nice to chat to you for a while :-)
*poof*
and i am outta here. enjoy the grid, all who follow.

Hello Wolvie
((car)) How 'ya doin'?
Every time I see your name, I think of Amadeus...can't help it!
Hello, everyone!
lol and hi Mimi :-)
Hi Mimi
{{mimi}}
Hanging in...client went to EMRs :(
wolfgang lol that would be cool- it actually is a nickname i was given that is short for wolverine :D
for U of Michigan :-)
I know...makes me so mad. The entire area here has gone that way and there are no transcription jobs to be found. The group I'm doing no is in Colorado and can't go that way due to the alien chipmunk.
In Amadeus, his wife refers to him as "Wolfie"...so it makes me think of that!
Alien chipmunk, Mimi? What are you smoking?!?!?
...and can I have some?
You don't remember what I called the radiologist who owns this practice when describing how horrible she is to transcribe? I called her the alien chipmunk with OCD on drugs. She's the worst I have ever heard including foreign doctors.
Ok...off again to drive mom to her day program.
OMG! That sucks.
I don't have to transcribe her...I transcribe another doc at the practice who is great.
bye car
Back in a bit. {{group}}
Later, car.
Gotta go get to work. HAGD, all.
bye mimi

ty molly....good clue...
molly same 5 letters?
no, spelled differently at the end, she said....try a different vowel...
... you used to hear the word used in tv commercials about things like food being sealed so well that air wouldn't get in
I thought that word ended with "cally"
... that's the adjective
i thought that was vaccuum sealed
yes, the adverb instead of the person?
it's not in the dictionary...
i will continue on with the grid itself i even used Morewords and still am not finding it but thank you all for the help
Two completely different meanings between the he9 and the sealing adverb
do you want another clue, mlf?
do you know the meaning for the grid word, molly?
yes please pen sorry
It's a philosophy term
... that female person ... went to a place and was joined for the first time by a person she didn't know ... ... then the doctor ending

s + what you tell by looking at your watch
I saw a TERRIBLE, STUPID MOVIE TODAY "sEX |tAPES". iT WAS DUBBED INTO French WHICH MAY HAVE MADE IT WORSE.
whoops, didn't mean to shout
Looks like that movie is pretty bad whatever language it's in
Drive by
sorry, back
Unfortunately, my friend won't read subtitles, so we have to see dubbed movies
I miss hearing familiar actors' voices
That's too bad
And now it is time for Crossy,s tidbit of the day!! Today I am thinking of the big vote for our Scottish friends tomorrow, and it brought to mind our own Quebec referendum of 1995 and I wish to share a few number with you that I find rather interesting: First thing was the voter turn-out at that time was almost 94%, Not bad at all. There were 4,671,008 registered voters and the final vote was tight with a 1.2% spread of 49.42% yea to 50.58% no. Very very tight indeed. Of all that there were 86,501 spoiled or otherwise inadmissible votes totaling 1.82%. Just think of that. If all over those spoiled votes had been usable it might have changed the course of history! Check your votes my Scottish friends and make them count, no matter if you are yea or nay because as you can see, it can be very close indeed!
When the spoiled vote percentage exceeds the final tally spread percentage it can cause much anguish:)
you could have had a recount and then your supreme court could have stepped in and arbitrarily ended the recount and caused people to be mad forever
what a missed opportunity
Oh sure, that would of caused a riot
with it that tight, you can be sure it was counted many times
I am sure they agonized over each and every one of those spoied vites
(see also: Florida, 2000 presidential election)
votes
ok. Looks like my typing is degrading more than usual. Too much classroom tying today. Will be back later:)
hello
hi, molly and ruby :)
Hey Seain, how's tricks? : )
okay, you?
hi, crossy.
chat had frozen for me, just refreshed.
Yes, this site seems to be in need of repairs lately.
he's not been getting enough money in as i understand it. I'd gladly pay more to support the site.
Many internet sites are dying due to the fact that everyone is parked on Facebook all day long. It's sad.
are they. huh.
Facebook offers lots of free games and a way to make private discussion boards where only "certain" people are allowed in. I've watched a lot of web sites die over the past few years.
huh. that makes sense.
on that not, i'm going to take a nap. :) Nice chatting with you.
Molly, I really hate FB...did you see my description of it?
Hi there
Hey, bichon! Haven't spoke to you in ages!
I've been around. How are you Mimi?
Really good, thanks. Finally got part of my settlement money from my Social Security judgment...I feel rich...temporarily.
Savor the moment
And...found a great Italian restaurant here in Phoenix...not an easy thing to do.
We have so many just in my city in CT. Lots of Italians here
This place as something I've been looking for in this town for 30 years...a really good meatball sub!!
We mostly have enchiladas and BBQ here.
Really good delis are also rare....hate that.
A lot of the old Italian places here have gone out of busines, replaced with more modern cuisine
One day I would love to do an "eating tour" of Italy...start at the top and end at the bottom! But they'd have to ship me home in a box!
That's why I live in the NE, good Italian, Chinese. There's even a good BBQ here in town
They even have good pizza in Italian chain places
This place also has excellent pizza...couldn't even eat it without knife and fork it had so much great sauce and cheese.
I never get pizza anymore since I'm trying to lose weight, but every once in awhile.....
Of course, I'll lose this place when I move north into the mountains next year. But I really want to live there and told my realtor to not even show me anything without a view of the mountains.
He showed me two great houses that I just loved but I need this next year to get all my ducks in a row, both financially and health-wise....more doctors here in Phoenix who specialize.
I really hate being "mature" with my decisions...totally goes against my nature!
OK--leaving now. Have a good night!
Bye Mimi

awesome, stid!!!! I'll definitely use it ...
how's otherwise?
... I get to explain this year (with director's approval) that I will NOT babysit their registration requirements (i.e., they're on their own to do it right; otherwise they can suffer the consequences - submitting petitions)
hate to run and miss the fun, but I'm falling asleep - gn all you old timers - miss the gang!

I am almost there too -- was at school from 6:30 to 7:30 today.

THIRD GRADE

Camo Boy started K a couple of weeks ago!...
...can you believe it?
I hope so. "will be" is the operative term right now. a five-year decrease in age has proven quite challenging. they are so YOUNG!
no. way. Are we really THAT OLD?
We are...and he's learning some entertaining stuff!
nice.
Camo mom picked him up from after-school care...
...helped him put his backpack on...
...turned around and asked him why he'd removed one of the straps...
...he replied, "Mom...it's cool!"
LOL
oh oh...
fun!
Camo mom is keeping a journal so she can make a book to memorialize his fun stuff :)
great idea. she is good at things like that.
I told her that I couldn't remember her or her sister being THAT cute! LOL
(let alone enough to make a book about it)
and, since it is taking me three tries for each chog post I will have to say bonne nuit. I am exhausted and another full day tomorrow (but have already negotiated with Tom so I can get an extra hour's sleep Friday!).
oh -- and Grant has been working construction by the way, after offically managing to finish high school on time. *proud mama look* He is an amazing young man.
Take care...tell the boys I said hello and have a great evening! :)
...and, again, congratulations!
Great job, Grant! :)
I will. (((((many pink sequin hugs for you!)))))
*wicked mama little sister grin*
*giggle*

Oh, ru...you know about the Boles fire?
*puts piano in front of pini*

<-- doesn't play...thank goodness...might hurt ears!
the Pollock Pines fire is awful too
The town of weed is destroyed almost completely. It's very sad
My great aunt lives up there...thankfully she and her house came out ok...most of the north side of town was torched to the ground :(
yeah.. it was mostly to the north where the winds are stronger
I don't know anyone who lives in Weed
Something like around 100 homes in less than 24 hours
But I have driven through a couple of times.
yeah..
I love the Café there.
It's a small town...most of the people moved to Weed and Yreka when Hilt closed down.
Hilt?
Old lumber town
I think it closed in the late 70's
oh.. all of those have closed down haven't they?
Not sure about any others...but my Italian ancestors went to Hilt when the immigrated.
*they
oh
I imagine that people take everything to the Hilt
Yeah, something like that... LOL
I understand that they have a nice hotel in the town.. the Hilt-on?
