hi, rose! was just about to bail out, well over half and finally nbt/nbs, my usual nightly goal these days. how's tricks?
hello rbud. i am feeling so good. i have had my 3rd magnesium infusion.
oh, that's working well for you? I think my hubby needs something similar. They gave him some via IV a few months back in the ER and it helped him so much for days... but now he's kind of back to the same old.
i slept....get this....9 1/2 hours last night. i have nearly finished all my weekly chores. just the laundry and ironing to go.
oh, that's amazing! good for you! :)
i highly advise you to find a doctor willing to give it to him. it's turning my life around.
they said his magnesium levels were way too low. I've read that it helps with - hmmm, muscles and nerves, is it?
if his likneys are functioning well you could try oral magnesium malate. it is available from over where you live. check out the vitacost site.
yes, rbud. ugh !! * kidneys *
I suppose the kidneys are okay, they checked out most of that. Said his liver's functioning well, astounding considering the amount he drinks. All beer, but still...
it is very cost effective. i use the tablets in conjunction with the infusions. my levels were so low, i couldn't hold my levels up. now with the infusions, i am starting to cruise.just loving it.
The malate is easier to absorb? I read that most Mg supplements are not that good.
the malate is made from apples. combined with the magnesium, it is absorbed much better than any other mag. compound.
and of course he hates most foods with high Mg content.
i had the MIL on it, and for the first time in nearly 40 years she was night-cramps free.
which may have contributed to the problem, naturally.
and sprite and pugs are both now taking it, with very good results.
I'll have to hunt some up. Wonder if they have it at the local natural food shop, they have walls of supplements.
they might do, rbud, otherwise go to the vitacost website.
what's a good size daily dose?
i take 2 at night, and 1 in the morning. and as often as i need it during the day.i.e. if i start to feel nausea, cramps, spasms, pain
what size pill, though - milligrams?
went to double check. 1250mg tabs.
thanks! are they big? he has trouble with really large pills. I try to get him to break them in half, but he fusses anyway, lol. Maybe two 625 mg ones would be better than one bigger.
i buy the 180 tablet bottle. but i think there are smaller size bottles available to try before you commit to the larger size.
at least the blood pressure is under control now, with no apparent side effects, yay!
well they are big and you would have to halve them all. yes the 625mg would be good. i was being cost-effective when i went for the larger dose, larger bottle.
you could buy the larger dose pills, halve them all and put them back into the bottle. if that wasn't too much of an issue.
I hear that, about cost-effective - a good thing. Big tablets don't bother me much. I take a large daily vitamin most days.
the tablets are not enteric coated, so it wouldn't matter if you broke them up first.
but he's a real fuss budget sometimes. :P
lol...try telling him what my dad used to say to the mother....put a sock in it beryl...it never failed to amuse me..
only use his name, not my mother's....* giggle*
LOL! You know, I'm surprised he's be4 so well-behaved about taking his meds, he's never liked the idea of medications. I think he's finally scared enough to cooperate. :)
worzel, mate. please come out of lurking and say hello
ditto with my don. when we were married he had so many complaints. i resolved to help him deal with each and every one of them. so far i have be4 about 90% successful.
oh, and rbud. cardiologist has put me on a very old but effective drug. i have ANKLES again.
wonderful!!!
wonder if it's one of the two he's on.
;-) don noticed the other day that my shoes were loose again.
i'm on aldactone and frusemide for the fluid, and atenolol and candesartan for the blood pressure.
which one is the very old one? just wondering.
i also have a new diagnosis..diastole failure...which means my heart is not pushing enough blood through the ventricles.
do you take an enteric (sp?) aspirin a day as well?
aldactone...i was on it over 30 years ago when i was having trouble with kidney infections and stones.
yes rbud, i do.
i think frusemide is almost if not more older than aldactone. i remember it from my training days.
excuse me rbud, i need to shout at someone...
WORZEL....YOU COME OUT HERE RIGHT NOW...YOU HEAR YOUNG MAN!!!!
naughty boy....he has probably turned chat off...* sigh * just wait until i get my hands on him....
hang on hang on!!! gimme 2 mins xx
right, now then, what's all the fuss?? xx
* giggling * about b..... time.
well, fancy, my mother talking like that!!! bleeding cheek of it lmao xx
oh - nearly forgot - gooooooooooood morning fellow Babblers xx
when i call you, you answer, right? i needed to chat.....and now i have forgotten what i wanted to say...
'tis age, Mum, 'tis age - she is but the cruellest of mistresses . . . lol
what a tease you are, worzel....
right, come over 'ere and say that young man...go on...i dare you !!!
Yeah, ok, I'm sorry - and I know how the expression goes "You're not too big to go over my knee, young man!" (my, that sounds a bit rood!!)
lolol, so nice to see you, mate. i miss your cheery greeting. how is the lovely princess?
and how are you? bug problem settled ? and what about your bicycle ? any news there?
did you find pixies in the bottom of your garden ?
She is, as you say, lovely, perfect, gorgeous, radiant! Moi? Well, the psoriasis is permanent, apparently, but to a degree manageable. I have a replacement bicycle (Oh the psoriasis was instead of the bugs lol). As for the garden, well, don't get me started on that!! How are you and papa?? xx
see??!!?? you ignore your old mum, and she ends up with a zillion questions...lol
i amresponding to the magnesium infusions in such a lovely positive way...i feel energised again, and sleeping like a baby...though no need for nappies yet. dad is good, so long as he paces himself on the air-chisel.
See, now you've got me yapping I ain't put in any words! Mind you, Im not a great fan of these tiddlers - i prefer a nice big one
grid that is
So glad to hear you are feeling better, and make sure dad DOES take it easy. It's a bugger trying to use computer at moment 'cos the backlight has gone all dim so I had to order a new computer off Amazon last night. Thankfully I can pay it in installments, otherwise I'd have had to put a popsock on me head and rob a bank!
oh, mate. that is not good...re the computer that is. how old was the last one?
Well I'm still using it this morning - I can see (just about). Well it's Di's old one (actually it's her OLD old one lol) it's about 10 years old so I guess it's about ready for the knackers yard anyway. Plus it's got four keys missing and a dodgy f so it was only a matter of time lmao
i am still waiting to hear from social services re disability support pension. have now got the medical report complete, and the paperwork re dad's superannuation.
and things are moving ahead for my compensation payout. so, all in all, for me...life is good. just wish i could rub some off on you, mate.
Hopefully all goes well in those departments for you both xx Superannuation, eh? Now THERE'S a word for the grid. Strangely it's 14 long so wouldn't go
ahh don't worry about me. D'you know, with this backlight problem, I read that as contraception instead of compensation. Haha, contraception payout !!! silly old worzel lmao
* giggling * honestly wor....i think you need glasses as well.
did pugs email you?
Yes - Di and myself both need our eyes testing - especially her, silly mare - she reckons I'm handsome. I tell ya, the woman needs help . . .
lolol...she is correct of course...you are my son...how could you be anything but handsome??
Awww you are too kind Mum - but 'tis true, I have inherited yours and paters handsome gene - and a strange modesty gene too lol
so long as you don't breathe through your navel, and don't have a tail...
in which case.....we disown you...
no i don't have a tail and don't breath through my navel. Mind you, I'm quite good at talking out me
yes well . . .
roflol....don't go there, dear....
still giggling....
Right well I know it's been short but I have to go out and go to the bank now and make sure that my money is up to scratch! I shall have to take my leave of you I'm afraid. It's been gorgeous speaking to you Mum it really has xx
xoxox my dear man. hope you and di have a wonderful weekend.
thank you mum and you and dad too xxxxxxxx *poof*
good morning all
{{hugs}} sprite.
*hugs rose* Hello my darling, how are you today?
i am sooooo good. slept 9 1/2 hours last night with only one interruption.
oh wow, that is marvellous!
and how are you, dearest? was your night a restful one?
and i have had a lovely chat with worzel too.
no, night was bad. Then this morning around 6 I was getting sleepy and I thought, wth, am giving in. Then slept another 4.5 hours very well.
oh, wow....sooo nice, dear.
and i have done all my weekly chores except the washing and ironing...i feel great.
indeed, lol. Prettty intense dreams though. But nothing I can't handle. At least the good guys won.
wow, very nice, rose. Will you remember to pace yourself, even though you do feel great? Don't overdo it in your enthusiasm.
i realised today....if i get all the weekly chores done on the weekend...i have the rest of the week to play...and now with the magnesium infusions i seem to have the energy am]nd motivation again.
ugh...* and *
awesome. Just remember to take things in moderation?
i hear you, darling.
*hugs* Am so very happy for you.
you know ?? that second sleep is so wonderful. it seems to set you up for the day.
did you see worzel was on-line before? i had such a lovely chat.
it messes up my medicine roster and all, but I don't care. It was worth it :D
i know, hun. i put the 'must have ' meds out separately, beside my bed. with a drink. if i wake between 5 and 6 i take them then.
smart move
oh, dearest sprite, our cyber bully has attacked crosshair. i am so sad...
oh dear. He is such a sad person. Can't see a good thing without wanting to ruin it. What happened to crossy?
just words, sprite. crossy is mature enough to stand back...and say...enough is enough.
yay for our crossy. Am sorry he got nastiness from mr nasty.
i wish the bully's family would see him for what he is...he needs help...desperately...
he is pathetic, that is for sure
was it in chog, or by email?
sprite, i really feel such sadness for the bully....he, and all who are a pa4 of his life...need our support and love.
with crossy, via email.
ugh. What an asshole. Sorry rose, I don't want to support or love it. Just want it to shut the ##()$*(#@ up.
* giggle * sprite....open your heart dear....i am able to move on...my darling girl...please do the same...pour out your love on him...NOTHING can resist love...
good morning, seetis. I've tkn my e-mai address out of the profile.
i know his words are hateful....let them fall on the rocks...where they cannot take root and flourish.
What a creep! Do you thinks it's NN?
oh my heart is open. To you and crossy and all the others it has tried to hurt. And I hear you. But the mother lion in my has been awakened and now all can hear me ROAWRRRRRR!
that was sweeties* not spelled very well
don't think it, know it. Hi ruby!
{{ruby}} hugs and love. i know it is NN
He used to send me tons of spam, all of it commercial and self-promoting
it is short for nomen nescio... or niceness non-existant.
I've only had problems with 2 babblers, neither one a troll. Both were open in their animosity but both are gone. Yay
ruby...my dear friend...as i said...pour out your love on him...he needs it.
you are one of the lucky ones, then, ruby. His other brand of emails is filthiness, towards babblers you know or towards yourself.
as the French say, Je m'en fiche" or something like that.
I think it means I don't care -- becoming expert at French slang.
poor crosshair...he was so supportive to the bully...and then the bully dumped a load of filth into crossy's email. and crossy does not need this.
je m'en fou, maybe? Or another variant, lol.
hahh
I hope he has blocked the ass.
crossy said he would...
There's a commercial (I listen to commercials, they're good Fr lessons) where a girl says, in a very pinched way "Juis myope" instead of Je suis myope. It's too funny
and ass is short for assistance sorely subscribed
when I was young and still cute, I quickly learned to say "Fiche moi le paix" or, worse. The followers' jaws would drop and they'd peel off
hehehe
Later, when John was 12, they'd follow him and I'd say the same thing. It always worked
okaaaay...you two have lost moi...my school french did not cover this.
nor did mine. It was just a necessity and I learned fast!
we are done, rose, lol. Back to english. Revenons a nos moutons ;)
naughty sprite...and ruby...but not really...
It's great to know bad words in more than one language And Sprite probably knows them in 6!!
hehehe if cussing were a subject on schools I'd score high :D
*giggle* ruby...ye4 she probably does...and who are you all callig a sheep??
*calling*
Here they say "It's not your onions" if it's none of your biz, usually when mothers are talking about their children's lives
hehehe :) Let's go back to our sheep... or in other words, lets go back to the subject at hand and stop messing around
what's wrong with messing around. I actually miss it.....
*explosive laughter * like the grid ??
lol
grid? Grid? Ohhhhh here it is.
I was just about to say that, sprite, almost snap
:)
I have to go, Mr. Sweetness awaits....
see you later, kids
bye ruby, tell him hi from me :)
ruby...xoxox
hah, found the 9 at last
omg...on the tv...a man asked if the store sold bullet-proof vests...and the salesperson asked where are you going?...the man said...on a date...lol
yay you sprite
lolol
yeah...i didn't realise the tr6 could be past tense...
me neither
okay, dinner ready..will bbl
enjoy, sweetie *hugs*
fireflies. Bye all.

hi...
WA 5/20 ?
don't have it yet...
... i've got a plural of wa4/9 ... ... I believe it's a dry gully in the desert
guess i need the right wa 4/9
ty dose...
mlf...it's not a common word...
if it has an s at the end amongst the letters in the grid i figured probably not a word i would know
... check out Lawrence of Arabia ... or any map of Arabia ... they're always going to one of these places
pen can you help with the wa 4/9 that it should start with please?
not sure i understand...it starts with wa...
a wa* of gum + i am, you are, he **....
nothing is expanding from the wa 4/9 words that i have so i must be missing a wa 4/9?
thank you got both
yw...
can i please get STATS for the fourth column E, the second one down?
et 4 i think?
... ey4/6
i don't think so, mlf....ty dose...
... it's a bablet
... a regular babblet
apparently not one i know, lol....
... go left

PA 6/27?
don't have it yet....
... the average score on a golf hole ... plus what Homer Simpson would say when he found an easy answer
... the simpson clue is a bit of a stretch .... sorry
second half....you re***m coupons at the store...
dose i got it lol yes diff vowel
... maybe ... having found the pa4/6 ... the sound of satisfaction you would make when you consider it to be cute
no a relief
or shock
Clearly, no one has heard of the NFL's Jack Pa6
didn't think of that... ;o)....thought of Har***'s Beefburger Drive-In....
Food clues are usually a home run here : D
i still have that jingle in my head from my days at UVA grad school....
What is it with jingles? They seem to get permanently stamped on your brain.
well they are short and often repeated...
So are math equations and they never stayed stuck : )
ah...but music helps you remember....my brother learned his prayers and catechism responses by singing them to the tune of commercial jingles...true story....
... but they're abstract ... you can always imagine the hamburger that goes with the jingle
my mother warned him not to sing them to the nuns...to sing in his head and just say the words...
That's funny Pen. That is like how you can sing every Emily Dickinson poem to "The Yellow Rose Of Texas"
yes, exactly....
music and odors often trigger memories...
Ah, now we venture into the quirky aspects of the brain
well it is my business, so to speak... ;o)
... and done ... 20% of the praise be to lickety ... ... may I offer a clue for anyone? ...
just STATS for one 7 letter word please?
... there are de7/44 and de 7/40 which build from a de4
ty...
down to 27....going to take a lunch break and then do some work on my report....bbl to finish...
... then as the battery on the laptop needs charging and the back grass is desperately in need of cutting I'll be off ... ... barkeep ... there's plenty of sunshine here ... spread some around to those who need it ... ... 'til tomorrow
bye dose....
good morning :-)
good morning cyber
de 7/44 clue please?
don't have it - haven't listed yet - will look
thanks cyber i have the de 7/40 which is a compound word
not alive + visual organ
ah ty kalea

also what kalea said -- there are two
yes i just told you about the compound word cyber;)
that i had before the 7/44
I still don't understand how I transfer the words I've already found to lickety's list. ???
:)
click on 'send words to clues' at the top of the page, rob
top of licketys page? I don't see that option on Babble
are you using babble expert?
no, what is babble expert?
i need the pa 6/24 UNDER the pa 6/27 if anyone has it?
yes the top of lickety's babble expert page
do you open a separate window to see Lickety while babble is still open in the first window?
no -- have you sent a note to lickety requesting the download for babble expert?
i dont have lickety on same page but they have never gone in by themselves i would have to add them but lickety is on separate page and if i go back and forth the words dont stay in the list if i type them in the add box on lickety's page
no, do you do that on the lickety page? I'll open it in another window
why aren't you two using babble expert?
i used to have it but i have it paid for
never heard of it. Is it free? how do you get it? I'm on a mac
<---misses her Mac
i got rid of it i think ew were getting new puter at the time but it doesnt work right for me anyway
I guess it only runs on a pc - just checked the info on it
ah, phooey
Now that I know that, I'm surprised I can run it on win 8 -- now that MS has decided to make apple clones
what is diferent about win8 that made you think you couldnt use it cyber?
i need the pa 6/24 UNDER the pa 6/27 if anyone has it?
Hello all!
hi car
It looks like what you would expect to find on an I pad, which annoys me no end -- if I had wanted an ipad I would have bought one. It comes loaded with all sorts of apps I don't want and can't get rid of and to use any of the ones you do want you have to set up an msn account and open a cloud account -- 2 other things I don't want to do
seriously?wtf?
pA 6/27 help anyone?????????
haven't found it yet, mlf, but will be listing soon
cyber :)
its my only 6 letter word left
golf score + scottish father

Obnoxious people and an obnoxious brat

I don't watch any " reality" tv...
You have to hand it to TLC. It's amazing that so much crap can be on one network.

Anyone have a clue for the 9? I'm guessing it's some wonky compound word.

Quiet here this evening! Hopefully most Babblers are whooping it up elsewhere.
Hi Soodle. My whooping it up budget dried up and blew away.

I come here to see how other people are whooping it up. Like The Traveling Babblers...distant cousins of Traveling Wilburys.

I bought a new suitcase this afternoon in honour of the epic voyage! By the time I ut
By the time I put all my footwear, hair accoutrements and make-up into it, there will be little room left for anything else. :-(
Like the kitchen sink etc... I have never mastered the art of travelling light...
Well, when we are rich, the idea will be "if we need it, we'll buy it when we get there".
