I think I've done 4 before, like today - probably a tie since I have no way of knowing the # of seconds
jeez.. the grid roster took a puny pill
there should be a code tweak to regenerate a new grid until there's at least 150 or so...

Anyone know the stats on the smallest and largest grids we've ever had?
smallest I have ever seen was around 25. I think it was 27 words. Largest was 744.
WOW!!
yes and the best thing was, the 744 was in a weekend and people were chatting all day, it was an awesome babble day.
Nice :)

Thank you...fw...

np's marc. sweet dreams mate
good morning everyone:)
and g'day to you, crossy. be proud of me, mate.
Howdy rose:)
What's new and exciting?
crossy, got the final part of all that paperwork in today. * sigh*
my energy levels are way up. and i am so motivated. starting to feel like my old self.
i go back to physio tomorrow... all my weekly chores are done...have caught up on the laundry, dirty and clean. my tulips are flowering. life is good, mate
I know what it is like to be buried alive in the fine print of something so important. For the professionals involved on both sides, it is just another day in the life of another day at the office. Yhey little realize that hour life, contentment and overall health and happiness hinge on the outcome of topics they toss around like it is a tennis ball at the country club:)
I am glad you are feeling better as well:)
darn. hopy you can read crossy:)
*giggle* and the social security people say i have to attend a health assessment to see if i am fit for work...lolol
i can read crossy...very well. xoxox
Biring your doctor papers, thump them down in front of them and show them your inherited as a result of unsafe working conditions:)
knee*
I better get some tea going brb
You would think that the social security would have been far beyond the point for a assessment by now? your doctors report and the application he filled in not enough for them?
They love to bury people in repetitive paperwork, little caring the duress it puts people under.
I was once told in confidence by someone working at the disability office that they automatically veto all initial applications just to weed out the posers and the phonies. In their minds someone who is pretending or exaggerating will not go through the bother of wading though unending mounds of paperwork
*giggle* crossy, yeah i know. but as don says, they have policies and procedures to follow, and follow they must. it will probably be a short interview of oh yes, no, there's no way you can work...lol
In my wife's case we actually had a case worker say" You know there are blind typists out there right now holding down good jobs" !!!
for goodness sake, the initial paperwork needed a bachelor degree to complete. lol.
I am glad you are nearing the end of it all rose
excuse me?? you have got to be joking!!
I am not. it is the honest truth!
I told her to look in the want-ads and find me people looking for blind typists
conciliation is in less than 3 weeks. lawyer is gathering all the reports as we speak.
are we still connected? my last post seems to have vanished.
yup, still here. was just pouring a tea
3 weeks. You can be sure that the powers that be are going to make those the longest three week possible;)
it's so amusing. the conciliation people are frantic for me to release medical info to them. and my lawyer is right there, saying, when i have the reports you will have them.i feel so protected.
my lawyer is handling it all. he is my hero!!
I am glad you have a lawyer that is on top of things:)
and don has been wonderful. he drives me to all my appointments, is by my side through all the interviews. i am so blessed.
A partner who stands by you in tough times is a thing of beauty. My beloved was a rock during my "Cancer decade" :)
i hear you mate...that's what we promise, through sickness and health.
once conciliation is done and dusted, don and i are going to start planning our excursions to europe and the americas. it's all very exciting.
darn.. babble ate my last post;(
yes, plans some fun things together to wash the taste of this long drawn out process from your spirits
frustrating isn't it? trying to remember what you wrote?
like your thoughts, crossy.
I let it go, it was too long to repeat. i was just ruminating over what a rock my beloved was when I was ill
as our beloved spouses do/are, mate.
I love the way you still use the term "The Americas" Makes it all sound so wild and untamed and adventurous, kind of like the way we say "Oh, I am off for an excursion of the outback"
lol, crossy. please be assured canada is most definitely included.
Just make sure you come through my neck of the woods. i will have a crossy breakfast waiting for you and Don
i am so holding you to that, crossy.
so long as it includes bacon and maple syrup....roflol
let's see...there is you, joso, jillibus, flosey...who else?
A nice Crossy breakfast, then up to a town called Gravenhurst for a ride on North Americas oldest operational steamship the R.M.S Segwun. It does a two hour tour through the 30,000 islands part of Georgian bay, then back home for a bit of lunch and a quick nap, then off to Blue Mountain which i can see out my window here for a hike in the woods on the Bruce trail. Then after all that it is back to my place for some home made stew from the crock pot, slabs of crusy bread slathered in creamery butter. We can then relax ofver drinks while having a killer game of scrabbe:)
oh and saanichcat,
scrabble
oh yeah...am loving it...
You can see the ship on my web site:)
watch out for me on scrabb le...i will give you a marathon for your money.
The mrs. and i want to go back and visit her again very soon. it was just not in the plans this year:(
lol! Bring your best game rose!
ummmm, crossy , you are taking the condition of my knee into your calculations, mate?
yes. If you can walk unaided or with just a cane through a store I think my trail choice will be fine
ah yes, R.M.S Segwun....
roflol....nice
She is a thing of beauty and we are lucky she survived
There was once a fleet of them, 20-30 i believe and they were employed by Canada post to deliver food and mail to the outlying islands.
She is the last of her kind now
She started out as a side-wheeler in the 1860,s and was converted to propeller in the 1880,s
dinner here. xoxox crossy. thanx for being such a wonderful friend.
will be back later.
The engines she is using now are new.. lol one was installed in 1908 and the other in 1911 i believe:)
ok, tc rose
dohn
oops, sorry!
howdy biltong
good morning, everyone! easy peasy little grid.
howdy lbd
Hi crossy and lbd
Small indeed. I am chatting more and working on my English assignment. I am just popping a word in the grid once in a while just to make it last
Good morning
Hi sukee
morning crossy, biltong, sukee
crossy, a question...do you use Panda?
No. It is not usable in Canada, same for hulu and the like
I have a program called Tunnel Bear and I can watch video from anywhere. I also get access the the US Netflix.
was just wondering if I should buy it or continue using he free one.
I use it to watch the BBC
I have tried tunnel bear but you get a very limited ammount you can use/week with free version
True, I subscribed. I tried some free ones but I like this better.
If I was going to go after it in a big way, i would explore the Tor borowser. it enables me to obtaion a U.S I.P addy but it has its own drawbacks as well
I have no4/8 and nu4/5, what are the stats for the other two, please?
and back....crossy put sukee on the list, mate
I did enjoy Tunnel bear for the short time I used it
Ah, just found them
wb rose
Hello rose
biltong, no4/5, no 5/12
ty, rose, found them
g'day biltong
Is there a clue for that nu 4/5?
LBD, I find that my viewing time is more than filled by what netflix has to offer in addition to crackle and the free content streamed by the discovery channel. I have no need of anything else. I just cannot squeeze in any more time to watch tv. We did look at 13 episodes of the new Cosmos show and were quite impressed!
Found it
We average at most 6 hours of tv a week;)
yay sukee
yay, sukee
I am trying to get the TV monkey off my back.
I have one left, a c4 ...
First 6 months is tough, sukee, but once you realize you can have a rich and full life without T.V being the nucleus of that life it gets better. You actually enjoy the programs you do watch even more and are more selective about what you view
ca4 x 3, cr4 x 2, cu4 x 4
I already only watch two or three new shows, get caught up watching oldies like MASH
ty, rose
Fireworks, yay
it is the main reason we switched to Netflix, not to mention the $100.00 a month we save by cutting the cable cord
WTG BILTONG!!!!
yaa for Biltong!!
we still have free-to-air here.
Today I am also tossing our landline officially. There is no more need of it. Yhat is another 30/month saved
I will keep my old phones however, since here, you can still dial 911 emergency number with a dead set
Woo, down to 4 left
wtg, sukee
yaa for sukee!
both of us are on pre-paid for our cell/mobile phones. and the land-line is AU$15 for a month.
3 .... and all 5 letter words
yes, rose, We are going back to pre-paid once the contract expires on these smart phones next year
me too !
a & 2 x s - any help please
ar5/14
and the minutes do not expire for a year if you put a 100 dollar card on it, so $50 for a pone, 100 for the card and it used to last us 6 months/card
5 letter words...ar, do, do, ho, no, sc, sw, wo and ul
phone
sc5/16
sw5/18
sw5/18
oops, sorry!
So nice to see fireworks :) I don't usually have time to finish the larger grids.
WTG BILTONG!!!!
So excited - fireworks

WTG DOSEFFING!!!
{{dose}}
hahah I'll be lucky to have half in 20 mins
only four and five letter words ... just let the monkeys go wild
Bye everyone. Have a good day/evening
I just relax and chat and let the words dribble in. The people at the flip can have their race to the finish line;)
ok, half was easy, even for me
... heavens they were probably done before anyone finished saying 1,2,3,go
yay ruby...well done
I am sure they did, dose. Just another way to enjoy the game, but it is not my style;)
only 12 left!
Ok, half an hour before I leave. Hope I can get those final 3
i am sure you shall have no problem, sukee

ruby was too tired to woof:)
{{hugs}} dearest ruby.
Fireworks!
yaaaa for sukee!!
WTG SUKEE!!!
Now I'm off to a doctor's appointment. Find out the results of my MRI. Doctor will be peeved that I didn't have a change to get a blood test he wanted.
chance
hope your news is good news, dear sukee
hope you get good results, sukee.
I'm curious if they found anything :)
crossy, sorry got distracted...the Panda I was talking about was the antivirus.
The doctor was curious if my mobility problems might stem from my brain.
Anyway, have a good day all.
ahh ok, sorry, lbd. I use a triad of security for my computer; Microsoft security essentials,Malwarebytes and ccleaner
i hope not, for your sake, sukee. will be interested to hear what he says.
I use the Microsoft one and it works great.
hope all goes well with your appt. sukee
I do not worry about secondary firewall programs like Zonealarm as the Microsoft firewall seems to be fine. I try to keep my security simple and easy to use but effective.
Malwarebytes is my heavy hitter, security essentials is my pitcher and ccleaners is my clean-up batter:)
lol, lbd drifted off again:)
sounds like you need another cuppa, crossy
Me? I am fine now, it is others than are drifting away:)
poor ruby with her broken woof:)
lbd drifting in and out every 20 minutes or so while we are chatting about computer security and myself wandering wound the web:)
oh i see...lbd drifted away...duh....and, yes, poor ruby...
round
watching a pretty dark film of robin williams...come dreams what may...
I have 10 minutes, then I must head out myself. The hallowed halls of academia await!
np's crossy. i hope your day brings you enjoyment, mate.
and a pleasant evening to you as well rose and a good dreamless sleep
thanx mate...xoxox
Finished in my lunch hour. :D
Have a good day all.
Hi kids. 44 words--one of Babble's smallest grids.
quick and fun..bye dear babblers
Hi and bye Annie
love these little grids fireworks\
hello, babblers
I would think the grid-generating code would disallow a grid with only 4 vowels
It would be nice if there was a "throw back rule", like in fishing.
Hi all, done, now what do I do for the rest of the day
woo! first fireworks for about 4 years :D
Yay Pinny! Well done :)
First...there was the 20 Minute Workout...next....The 10 Minute Grid...
ahem.. 4 minute grid
Oh, my apologies to The Smarty Pants Club
apology accepted
:D
that would be a great new clothing line.. "smarty pants"
Does anyone know how to contact the site owner? I *finally* after years of playing, have upgraded to pro. My payment went through, but I got a msg that there's a problem, but there is no way to reach "Dr_God". Thanks!
You can email him at dr.god@playbabble.com - I've always found him to respond very quickly
Ah, thank you!!!!
Probably the same email address where you sent your payment.
fireowrks!! ok it took me 10 minutes but still!!
hi and bye eveerybody xx

3
2
1
omg
Way to go, Ruby!
congrats!
off to start a project to make my cat happy. Hope it works
Did you find your word, Pen?
no....it's a 5 letter s word...
44 words. A shorty
done!
too short....
what was your last word?
mine was SC5
mine was sc 5, too....
I thought that might have been the case. Well, see you later.
bye!
Teeny, shorty, small...all adjectives men cringe over : D
heh heh....talk about cringe....did you notice the johny guy last night....a little creepy...
There are a number of odd posters about lately. I have a feeling that the old "infiltrate Babble posse" is at work again. Sad.
yes, sad...
GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE:)
hi crossy...
sorry caps.. then i msp froze on me
my isp*
I t is a funny thing when you get long time babblers "infiltrating" under another personae. The real identity usually shines through with the style of their writing.
it is well that only a few bother doing so.
Long time Babble players infiltrating under another name was not my meaning. I was referring to a group who played here under various names a while back, in the Nancy Boy days.
ahh ok. Got you.
Days best buried deep and covered in lime.
well this guy was creepy....wanted to know my real name...
But yes...real identities shine through in the other case
claimed to be from Pakistan....
"johny ok but you gotta keep in touch with me please... thanks man goodbye"
You gotta keep in touch with him, see?
yeah right....not!
Hiyas, kiddos!
So I finished the grid earlier, but forgot to change my icon. Now I have the new icon up. Oh well :-)
your new pic is nice...
hi judi...
Equinox in 6 hours, 9 minutes? Cool.
Good riddance, summer!
clue for ar 5/14?
Really...really...44 words?
I'll really be glad for summer to leave...it's still 100 degrees here in Phoenix.
does the ar5/14 contain both the w and the z?
No, there would be a lot more points in an ar5 word containing both a w and a z.
5 letter words are total points times 2
the ar 5/14 is adding three letters that amounts to swearing? :)
not really but how I think of it
arfuc
damn it
fireworks
congrats!
i don't see how a witness can't be un sw5
Well you would need two Ns for that to work in the grid, Dorens.
Nothing gets by our Zoom : D
Apart from the time stamp..LOL
Well, maybe that. : )
done!
me too! had to use lickety for the last 7
I have the O 4/8 meaning possess stats for the other O please
on4/5
Ty got it :)
Missing 2 words an S and a C
For S I have 5/16 4/8 5/18 missing?

Ty got it FW :)
Hi all...came to play...and see that in my absence, the 2 left columns have already been done for me ... will wonders never cease...*diving in*
well that was quick!
*sprinklers* for me...tootles 'til next time! :)
That's the fastest I've ever managed to finish the puzzle!
I really need to come play more often -- I had to think way too hard than I should have...lol
ugh -- and, apparently, my grammar has gone by the wayside, too
