Hi Rose - how are you today?
hello rose!
Hi saani
and Liz and ru and flosey and diz!
hi saanich
Hi Saan
sorry, had to dash away. g'day liz girl. been to physio, so a little tender.
g'day saanichcat xxx
Hopefully it'll help once the tenderness wears off.
i am sure it will. i'm starting to wind up inside because of friday. and it's no use telling me not to worry, i can't help it.
Of course you'd be worried - I wouldn't believe you if you said you weren't. I just hope you get what you deserve.
thanx liz girl.

I HATE MY MOUSE!!!
what's it doing?
I barely brush it with my hand and it thinks im hitting enter when im not...
Not what Lexi wants ;)
I share your sentiments then!
tried adjusting sensitivity but nothing works.
good morning all
I look like a stuttering idiot half the time argh
Hi sprite
hello and good morning to sprite!
Get a cat lexi
hi saan and Liz! *hugs*
haha ru :)
Hugs from both of us too :)
{{hugs}} sprite. how are you dear one?
and hi ru too, and lexi
thanks Liz :)
tahnks liz!
*hugs rose* Not a great night, am a little bit shaken. But otherwise good. How was your day?
hey sprite :)
Too many re words!!!!
Sorry to read that, Sprite - hoped that nights were improving.
had physio, so still a little sore. otherwise a good day, i think.
me too, Liz... seems it is on and off at the moment. Yesterday night was great :)
*healing vibes to the sore muscles and all*
So hopefully tonight will be great too
did you both receive an email from our pugs?
yes I did
Yes - but I haven't answered yet.
* healing prayers for the head which won't turn off*
Cheek of W to ask if he could come back!!!
ditto. she didn't say how often she could go to her sister's. what a joke about W wanting to move back in.
the guy has a nerve. Good for our pugs to tell him no way!
lol, snap liz
She's so much stronger than she was :)
isn't she! It radiates from the email!
I thought she sounded good.
yes, and good news of her sister being actually voluntarily involved with things.
Yes - I was shocked (but perhaps not surprised) when I read that W was probably giving her stuff that knocked her sugar out.
yes it is. That lousy so-and-so out of the house made her so much better.
poor pugs, what an uphill battle for her. but i think she about to hit cruise control. things are finally going right for her in many ways.
am ever so glad. She deserves it.
Hope so - let's hope the op goes smoothly for her as an outpatient - then cruise control it should be :)
it's still 3 weeks away, i am hoping it doesn't strangulate again. that was scary the last time.
she is using an abdominal binder to help hold her hernia in. at least i hope she is still using it.
Well, I'm not medic, but hoping that less stress for her will make that less likely. Go on Rose - tell me that stress has nothing to do with it.
Write to her and tell her to continue using it!
knowing her, she is, rose
*biting tongue* ... ouch!! kiss it better, please...lol
I'll leave that to Don
Just stick it out please *lifts Terra*
roflol....no need to ask him....
I suspect you'd prefer that anyway
Does the he 7 follow from the 3 words before it?
how come ru is quiet all of a sudden?
no liz.
OK
he's logged out, sprite
awwww... you don't think cyberbully got to him, do you? About me I mean?
he7, a highly cultured courtesan or concubine, especially in ancient greece
ah, alternate spelling of the courtisan!
Ah yes! Thanks, Forgot that word.
i shouldn't think so sprite. he's still talking to me, and cyber bully has been very industrious.
Ru makes up his own mind, I reckon.
ah good. I'll drop our ru a line then.
16 left but I've got to go for now. Good to have caught up with you both. Hugs
bye Liz, hugs for you both!
{{hugs}} liz
crossy was telling me the other day about how vitriolic it has been. i really don't know where it is dredging stuff up from as i have tried to be as circumspect as possible in all i have ever written to it.
rose, everything one writes can be taken out of context and turned into something nasty. And edited too, I am afraid. I know how positive you are and how you even know something nice to say about the cyberbully himself. So don't worry too much, it isn't you and the people worth their salt know you are not how he/she/it portraits you.
thanx dear heart...which btw is my phantom today. interesting to know that. i think it got under it's skin when i wouldn't join in the vitriol about other players. even when i said it was okay for it to feel that way, it still would carry on like a pork chop.
I know. That is why I had to cut off exchanging emails with it. Always spitting vitriol to other babblers. And actually thinking I would like that because I had a bump-in with someone someday.
heart was my first phantom too today
sprite you are very wise, sage-like. My compliments. If we are talking about the same "it" I always turn the chat off.
poor lost little thing, it is.
and, so to bed, goodnight babble friends!
I can imagine, saan *hugs* And thank you for the very kind words.
sleep well saanichcat
night night, saan, sleep well and nice dreams :)
not lost enough
Thanks allxoxo
*giggle* sprite
;) How is the renovation coming along, rose?
stalled at the moment....now there's a surprise...lol...i think he is too worried about me. i re-start hydro tomorrow which should help things to move again.
ah good. Yeah, could very well be that his worries about you make it hard for him to focus on something else. He is such a loving man.
we are moving stuff out of the laundry and off that wall in the kitchen. i think he is about to break-through.
oh lol! So rewarding, that. And so messy.
back again, took a bit of break
wb flosey!
is this "it" person someone I should know?
I don't know, flosey. It is the cyberbully that sent rose all that bad stuff.
no idea
g'day flosey. yes you do know it.
from UK
that one
it's okay, flosey. i don't want everyone taking "sides".
hasn't been around in a while?
is around and spewing vitriol again, alas
have even forgotten the name
not from the UK, fromthe US of A
oh dear
ok, I could guess
I think that is a good thing, grin. Let's forget and move on.
yes indeed, Sprite
enjoy the many friendly players
of which there are more at babble than at the average site/community, for sure.
only other site I visit is Bridge Base Online
how have you been, flosey?
keeping well thanks Sprite
and how are you doing?
good to hear, flosey. I am fine. And so is my family. Things are peaceful here.
wonderful, sprite
am very grateful for it. We weathered some stormy times.
yes and so good to have come through them, sprite
isn't it? Makes it all worthwhile.
I believe they make up stronger
yes I think so too.
stronger, and better able to understand other people who are in similar circumstances. I find I am becoming milder in my dotage.
*snorts into glass* that'll be the day..you wouldn't be sprite if you stopped being fiery and assertive.
but I do think we mellow in our later years, I'd like to think
*giggles* But I was much worse before, rose.
i think we become more tolerant and understanding. able to walk a mile in the other person's shoes.
yes, I think so too, flosey. Either that, or we become inflexible and judgmental.
yes, agree rose
you mean a stick-in-the-mud, sprite
sounds about right
like don....he says the most outrageous things, like you can only have a cup of tea with a fruit bun.
roflol! And you prove him wrong every time?
lol, I always like to have something with my tea
preferably a sweet
of course i do...ever so subtly of course...not...lol
my grandparents, who I loved so very much, were a little like that in the end. Very set in their ways and opinions. Very judgemental. But beautiful and mellow in other ways.
i mean it's hard to be subtle when you are roaring with laughter.
hehehe I know your subtlety, rose :D
that's a good way to deal with some folk, rose
it sets them back on their heels
we laugh a lot here, about ourselves and eachother. It relativates things so very nicely.
how odd... never ever does enable allow a person-who ending after a re- word. And now it does. Goes to show you just never know with enable.
like this morning, going out to physio in my little car. don nudged me as he was putting on his seat-belt. i nudged him back....we both cracked up. he said..please don't ever grow up.
yeah exactly :D Could have been Rob and me, just like that.
great way to start the morning, rose
growing up is highly overrated, in this respect anyway
as one of the motorbike clubs say in their motto, getting old is certain, growing up is optional.
oh I like that
and on their patch.....growing old disgracefully.
lol, love it
or ungracefully
love it
what woman can look graceful on a motorcycle
one that wears pants
no way, flosey.
lol, hopefully!!
fireflies
wtg sprite
who wants to be graceful on the back of a motorcycle.
WTG SPRITE!!!
thank you :) For both of you a warm *hug* and lots of love. And to you all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
I had to sit on sil's motorcycle so he could take a picture - I really hate the things
{{hugs}} dear friend. hope your day is kind to you.
hugs sprite, have a good day
can you give me the stats for the 10 and 11 please
re10/84 and ll/112
re1084, 11/112.
they were my first words
sorry, re10/84
thank you
and this is the first time I've ever started a grid with 2 biggies
yay you, flosey
someone clued them just as I came in
i must admit when i reached that bottom r they jumped out at me too
going to get 5 more words then off to bed, getting sleepy

and g'day pms
g'day to you too granny
apologies pms, hubby sent me an email of photos summing up the 3rd millenium. some very interesting photos and captions.
well just found out on facebook that mother was put into a nursing home..gues being a cold hearted bitch is the reason i wasnt told when they were taking her. im very hurt and confused about my feelings rite now
awww ivesy...what a devastating blow! {{hugs}} dear...
that is so nasty and underhand...who made the decision?
we didnt get along all that well, no secret there , but i was just with her sat morn.. my brother and sis in law and prob my sister.. not a word from my sister
ivesy...be strong dear. my mother always treated me as a second ra4 person. despite my qualification as a critical care nurse, and the oldest of 5 siblings, she nominated one of my bro's as her power of attorney, and another as her medical power of attorney.
none of my bro's consulted me or let me know until all her requests were set in " concrete"
same here granny..i was literally the middle child.and once my sister was born i was treated badly. my brother and sister are power of attorney.i tried to overcome how she treated me but when she treated my son like chit that was it.. my brother built an apt on his house for her . i know they did alot for her but it was their decision to have her with them, in spite of everyone telling them it was a bad idea.. i am so confused with my feelings rite now rose.
you poor darling. i know you can rise above this ivesy. just take a deep breath...have a really good cry and rant. then allow yourself to continue to treat her as a aged parent.
ivesy...if you want to contact me, my email addy is in my profile, dear.
thank you rose. you just may get a long email with venting...rite now i need coffee and a smoke...and to smash a few things.. :). thanks for listening
go ahead, ivesy. i can so totally relate to how you are feeling.
Bloody heck- a 10 AND an 11?! Siiigghh (only just started - I have all of three words, and I'm at work so will just be dipping in and out)
g'day matty. re10/ 11. to pay, compense, or reward for work or trouble
Morning, I didn't intend to get up so early :)
lool...lovely to see you sukee
ummm, that would be ...lol... *sigh*
Hi Rose
hello and bye, you two. I have to go out with Mr.Nasty
Bye
{{hugs}} ruby. always a pleasure to see you.
tell him to put a sock in it, ruby.
Trying to get as many words in before 6am my time, 5am this time before it resets.
yesterday, he was realy nasty after dinner and I said That's your last one" and walked out. He tried calling me in my studio and I hung up. Ultimately, he came all the way downstairs to apologize. NOT ENOUGH!
ugh, ruby...i am so sorry you have to endure this.
Unfortunately, I have no choice. I signed on for this for better or worse etc" and there's nothing to be done. I would like to be left alone!
bye
Take care
poke him in the eye, ruby...with a forked stick...lol
Thanks for the early clue for the 10 and 11 (though as I say, I'm only dipping at the moment until lunchtime). I sent my divorce paperwork to the courts today
Almost 6, will be back in a few.
matty, i am so sorry to see that, hun. there is nothing so devastating as a divorce. it is the end of all your dreams and hopes. {{hugs}} my dear.
good morning everyone:)
phantom "renumerate"
almost, crossy.. for the re10....
mm.. looking
start with the r in the right bottom corner
got it , ty rose and a lovely pair of words for my first 2 of the day:))
it means to compense
* smiling at you, mate *
I know of it, of course but never use it much. My mind must of just done a short cut for it.
and I am without tea as well. I shall blame it on that.
yay crossy...you rock...even without the tea...lolol
:)
crossy, did you get the email of the mom song?
yes, i did, rose. it was cute.
i think everyone of us would relate to it.
crossy...may i send you a video clip of my grandson...the one who we nearly didn't have...
yes indeed:)
sent, mate. this is the dearest little boy who nearly didn't make it.
his blond curls are so reminiscent of his daddy. and, yes, that is his daddy to whom he is toddling.
Hi again
crossy...have you caught up with the laundry yet?
(Sorry for the intermittent nature of my replies) - Rose, it's bittersweet, but it's an amicable divorce, and I have a new man and hubby has a new lady - we're still friends, we just kinda drifted apart during the years. It's as good as it can be!
lucky you, matty. i had a bitter divorce....and up 'til the day of his death, my ex never let me go...much to his new wife's dismay.
matty, on his death bed...my ex called my name, not his wife's name. it is so sad....she deserved better than that.
cute little fella, rose. he has lots of curls!
I am NEVER caught up with the laundry. It just does not happen. Well, I lie; I think it happened three times last yer:)
:-) crossy...i think so too.
I hate laundry :)
*giggle* crossy
I am hoping for wear-once clothes that we can break down in water when we are done with them and then we can use what is left as dish soap:))
crossy....
well, maybe not. We would have lots of neeked people outside whenever it rains!
I like that idea
lol
hugs and kisses to you both...it is pumpkin time for me.
Take care.
night!!!
I am off too for a bit too.
sniff... crossy is all alone now:(
I'm here
yaa for matty:)
*comes out of lurk mode - waves to all, hi crossy - goes back into lurking*
howdy chessy:)
NBT for Crossy:)
yay
Good morning everyone
howdy car:)
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day!!!
Ben and Jerry's send the waste from making ice cream to local pig farmers to use as feed. Pigs love the stuff, except for one flavor: Mint Oreo.
i don't blame them...yuck
gm everyone
howdy lady
how are things up north crossy?
he 7/32 and re 7/28 clues please
... to go in again
not bad at all, lady. Autumn is in full swing and our sugar maples are a blaze of colour:)
boy i miss the leaves turning.
That amazing fall-leaf smell is in the air when we walk the mountain trails. i am loving it
On another topic - you may know of the Daily Mail - a very right wing, alarmist British newspaper. Enjoy this, and learn more - http://tinyurl.com/3t9bvy3
we had a wee cold spell yesterday and for a few minutes it was wonderful!
ahh ok, mattie. Those rags look like our national enquire-type almost-new rags they sell at the check-out line in the grocers. either that or just watch Fox News:)
More like the NY Post- it's supposedly a real newspaper, just alarmist
Fun fact - it's has the largest online readership of, I think ANY newspaper
Thanks for the re, now searching for the he 7/32
It is the train-wreck syndrome. All the gore-crows want to watch and see.
Gossip over the fence, but in print:)
gran, the he is hard to clue; uses all the letter in the left corner and is greek for concubine.
maybe someone else can give a better clue
hetaria
SORRY!!!!
(It's not right, anyway)
I am sorry, because it did not work:))
close though! use the second vowel
OK, to be angry or emotional is to be he* up, then two vowels (first to of to make something frothy or airy) then consonant and vowel

when I blew mine out car, the first thing they did was give me a very welcome shot in the nerve, but that was during an acute crisis, so of course I can't say how they will approach your situation. just saying, if they whip out the needle, be very, very glad, cuz that funk WORKS

I just hate the process...pcp, referral to imaging, referral to specialist, referral to PT or other....
Ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching
We've been lucky, our insurance doesn't require a referral for a specialist.
Hi Bicho
no kidding! I finally made an appt to get my eyes checked, and now I am wondering if I did it right....
*Bichon...that must be nice
Yes, but Mr. Bich is retiring and we will be on Medicare. Something new
Rhapsody in Blue is on....haven't heard this in ages
Oh boy, Bichon
This is a much friendlier grid than yesterday's
I'm staring at this one just like I did the one yesterday.....
car...are there any circumstances under which you would consider letting Indy pack his nightie and hang out with you for an overnight?
Only if he has a bath LOL
But otherwise, of course!!!!

Footie pajamas, of course
You and your hobbies, Molly!
More of a fetish, I would say....
Good morning Molly
Hi all :)
G'day lizlin
you put your dog in footie-jammies???
I put Archer in an Eeyore costume a few weeks ago....
It's just a phrase...
Not a hobby or a fetish. I am just intrigued by the wacky things people dress their dogs in.
Love to see those pics
see what happens when I go away for a minute? lol
I HA*E when people dress up dogs! with a passion
We went to a Bichon bash where the girls were all is frilly dresses and the boys in tuxes
We were at the store for training and the trainer and I got silly whilst walking the dogs around the store.
Cute
Agree with you Trif!
I think sometimes, like in Bichon's case, it is very cute, but not something I would do all the time.
seriously....one of my pet peeves (get it? PET peeves?) oh, I slay me
I would like to make a dorsal fin and tail for Archer since he looks like an Orca for halloween
I always feel sorry for the dogs
the odd bandana is okay....
lol
I think some of these people do it a lot. Really uber Bichonites
I dressed one of our black cats as a spider one Hallowe'en
Was it in the past few years? I seem to remember a picture....

Harry, we hardly knew ye
Oh I do feel stupid - I hate it when easy words elude me (have it now, but feel thick)
Good morning, all! It's called 'Babble Blindness', Matty. We all get it . Don't beat yourself up too much.
OK, just discovered morewords. It's kinda cheating, but VERY handy
Very few people do this puzzle without cheating in some way. Unless you do it completely without help (and that includes clues)
Yeah, I know - and it doesn't help I'm doing it at work from time to time
Ahem. I'm not Babbling. I'm doing the monthly report *cough* *cough*
*Looks the other way*
... yes ... but for which month?
September. Police dept. stats. zzzzzzzzzz
... you're sure you're not looking at August figures and then labeling them September? ... someone might have actually looked at the report and might remember the numbers ...
Nah. It's all legit.
... that's no fun ...
Eh - it's a living.
*Bets Judi is more accurate than that
I'm very accurate. I do have some scruples.
... many thousands of years ago when I was do a work semester at an insurance company, my supervisor gave me a report to prepare that was forwarded to the president ... not know what I was doing I made a careless mistake on a particular number in the report and sent it the report on ... ... he spotted the error immediately and sent it back with a vociferous complaint ....
... my supervisor called me in and said "look ... there is only one number on the report the president looks at and you got it wrong " ...
Uhg.
... to demonstrate the point ... the next year we put random numbers in the report but were very careful to get that one number correct ... .... the president was most gratified with our quick effort
re
oops, sorry, was sorting papers on top of my keyboard

ty Molly
ty Molly
Molly, you like Alan Cuming. Great article about him in the Sunday Styles section of the NY Times, do you want me to send it to you?
Some odd mid-century musical term. Like we would all know that.
ty for the clue, Molly
Thanks Bich, but I read Alan Cumming in The New York Times. He's great. I loved his take on the failed attempt at Scotland's independence. So sad that did not happen.
I love the description of his parties after the show
the ne5 word is those big square notes you see in manuscripts of Gregorian chants (yet another piece of trivia that is squeezing actual useful information out of my head)
lol, thanks for that uusue :)
phantom: numerate
Hello uusue!
hello all.
Sue, you apparently have room for lots of things in your head. All that physics stuff, plus the occasional ancient musical thing.
hey there phand!
Hello phand
Sorry, but I get a good laugh every time someone says numerate is a phantom. Cheap thrills.
would someone like to give me a clue for the E in the last row?
and why is that, Molly?
em5/12 and em8/45
You'll see
em5/12 - em + most of ale
Whew...coming up for air. Have nbt/nbs and 87 left. Need another cup of coffee.
yay for Jilly :)
True, Molly! What I can't keep track of is where my car keys are, and if the dogs have been out.
Thanks, Biltong
yw
Jilly, can I have a clue for the 10/11 pair then?
there's also an em4/6, which is the only one I have from that e so far
ty, uusue
ok, now I have the other two although the em8 looks pretty phony to me
Em 5 ...think alt spelling for Arab leader...
To me as well. Trying to monkey that 4 right now...
10/11 pair...your phantom with a few letters flipped
got it finally!
ok., Working it Molly, thank you
Runed
re10/11...that is
Sorry...
Sorry Pen, no dice on that one
Sorry phand...just got back on...olly gave a clue, let me know if you got it with that
yeah, I tried it too, pen, probably more than once :-)
still thinking on it
do you want me to give a stab at a clue?
Wouldn't you say that those who etched a ru4 into ancient stone, ru5? Seems logical to my Pagan soul.
sure, why not...
Runted
Runted
Pen, you are killing me!!
Sorry....out of control on the iPad....
yeah, not that one either, pen :-)
Okay, throws my clue for the 10/11 out the window
ok, I was convinced the re10 was also a phantom. Got it but am still trying to see how it works.
Molly, I am sure it is a brilliant clue, the problem is I am not so brilliant.
re+(city government) ***icipal government+vowel+ PG is a movie ***ing, then vowel
Probably needed more hump letters and the like
Ah, there it is! Too many e's and r's in this grid!
thanks, Jilly! They light bulb came on, and now I see just how brilliant Molly's clue was, I am blinded at the moment.
Molly always clues better than I do...
Ah, but Jilly, I needed your brilliant clue to illuminate Molly's Brilliant clue!
LOL...I'm sorta the dumb blond of clueing...
that makes us 2 peas in a pod, Jilly
I'll be happy to have you as company. How's the job going?
We have our mandatory Ebola training tomorrow...
It's going well, thank you. I feel like I finally can hone my skills
Oh dear God, the Ebola frenzy continues
Oh, that sounds like fun!
Hey...survived AIDS in the Bay Area, nurse and as patient, this'll be a walk down memory lane!
I was the only 2 nurses in our home health department that would see AIDS patients.
One of the aids at my facility was all freaked out over the fact that we had a POTENTIAL ebola pt come through Frederick.
Yes, and we were all so at risk for AIDS...not
People need to take universal precautions seriously. That was the problem when we moved here in 1989. After being in Bay Area, I was astounded.
And Molly, actually health care workers ARE at risk with AIDS.
That is why they are called universal precautions!
one more a clue for the last te6 pls
And Ebola has been since 1976, so it's not the terror everyone is concerned about. Universal precautions.
THE SKY IS FALLING! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
sorry, steve, don't have that te6 yet
half and good night
Sweet sleeps ruby dear!
Health care workers have been wearing sterile gloves and taking other precautions since the advent of AIDS. AIDS is spread by the exchange of bodily fluids. I'm sorry but this kind of stuff is what makes HIV positive people feel like lepers.
TE 6 the length of time an office, position, etc, lasts
te6 = job security for faculty (although I don't know if that's the last te6)
Ty. Un
Keep in mind despite safety needles, needle sticks are still a risk, and there is no difference in how I treat anyone with a communicable disease whether AIDS, influenza, Clostridium deficile, Hepatitis...one always uses the appropriate precautions. That is what is meant by universal precautions Molly. Wearing what is needed. Keep in mind I work closely with bodily fluids.
Can anyone clue the de7 please
Norma, de + H2O
Thanks Annie ... not a word I have ever heard of
It's not a word to me but I dont argue with Enable
Hello everyone, just got back
To remove the H20 so it says.Must admit would not ever used it myself..lol

Hello, Annie :-)
Hi zooz :)

Back briefly - though I don't have much hope of finding the remaining 17 words. Is everyone having a good evening/night/afternoon/day?
hi matty
hello matty
he 7, please?
I sort of wish I'd never discovered morewords. It makes me feel guilty.
nan, he7----he and Scarlet OHara's home with a vowel thrown in
nah, everybody goes there occasionally.
ty annie
I was close but no cigar
Today I've hit it a little hard - I blame trying to multi task (and not get too badly caught) at work
youre welcome
ty Annie
youre welcome
Matty leads an exciting life...
Oh, so rich. I enjoyed that I posted about my laundry adventure on FB at the weekend and it got more comments than almost any other post I've made recently.
that's funny
Can anyone help with the on7? I read the clue that was given earlier (starts with a number and is comparative) but monkeying hasn't helped yet
matty, number and the more the mer****
Annie, thank you!
Oh, that word again. ty
ty Annie
yw!
on 7, please?
just clued Nan
I still have two 8s to find - chances are slim - dinner in a minute and then my OH's session (music - he plays guitar, mandolin, four string banjo, penny whistle etc)
I just clued it a 1:26

ty annie
And I hate it when I resort to morewords and find the word I'm looking for I should have found myself. I must wean myself off it
poor matty, wracked with guilt.
I shoulda been Catholic. Or Jewish. I have no good reason to feel so guilty. Gosh, that makes me feel so guilty :)
hahahaha!!
youre making me laugh, matty
Hurrah!
:D
Though if you tell me, Annie, you're currently at a funeral I will (a) feel guilty and (b) wonder why you're babbling at a funeral
Is that a bad thing?
why feel guilty about me babbling at a funeral?
besides I only have a desktop computer and I couldnt shlep the computer over there and hook it up. So that is why I dont babble at funerals/
Ty for he7.. didn't get one yet
*!* ta da *!*
Congrats Nan!!!
any clues wanted before I leave?
un6 please
On7
see Annie 1:26
not get together with someone? -- stupid word
thanks, nan, got it
which Nan?
on 7: first number + the town c**** (old fashioned news man)
see it
People post on Twitter and Facebook from funerals. It's really kind of sad.
do they really? That's awful.
I Never saw that Molly.
Ty
makes one wonder why go to the funeral at all, if you are not there to pay respect
Done
All these weird words and the dictionary gives me odd alternatives to choose from so I still don't know the meanings. Scream!
YAY!! Annie!
grats, annie
As for guilt about Morewords, well no real need for that. Lot's of people get help to solve this puzzle
I wouldn't mind if people posted and Babbled at my funeral.
I'm usually behind everyone else, so can get clues from other players most of the time
don't suppose you would mind much about anything hego!
Right! lol
Bye for now
bye Annie
lol - glad you took that the way it was meant -- when I read my post, I was afraid you wouldn't!
I've always thought of a funeral or memorial service as a place to respect the one who passed. I guess that is an old fashioned idea in the techo age.
Mentee...ugh
Agreed, Molly - that and to support the family
I want an Irish wake for me.
with music and drinking.
Lots of drinking.
Irish wakes do not involve Twitter or Facebook
who knows, anymore.
Are you Irish Hego?
no, but so what?
on my way - hagd everyone :-)
It's the spirit of the thing.
good afternoon everyone:)
Hi Crossy
You are invited to mu funeral (see below)
my funeral
ty , hego. i would also love an Irish wake. they know the right way to see a loved one onward;)
true
our wakes consist of having slide shows of our loved one with all different people in the family, with a music background. we laugh, cry and talk about them...mostly we laugh at how we all looked with so many different hair styles
sounds good Ivesy
i remember the days when we had to go to the funeral home for 3 days and nites. was torture.. thank god that ritual changed
I remeber that too.
Wow - I leave to eat with a funeral joke and it's run and run. I'd say my work here was done, but I still have 12 words :)
not too many families can afford that now
you are more influential than you knew Matty.
I know. I'd like to thank my family...nah, did that joke yesterday
:)
Matty...the new Babble Queen
not the 2nd grade teacher again!
Should I know the two re 8 words? (My 2nd grade teacher would be so ashamed)
Got one of them
Aaaand both of them
And yes, I do know them
go! Matty
matty is owning this grid!
No, no I'm not - I'm guilty. So guilty. Half an hour left before we go out
knocking 'em dead!
good that means you have 29 more minutes to babble if you slip your shoes on first
8 to go - all 5s and 6s (sigh)
The rh5...
really?
think arthritis
Argh. Should have had that. When I was a kid I had arthritis. This is absolutely true. My orthopedist was Dr Bohne. My rh5atologist was Dr Lim
or rh+++atism
Matty, that's hilarious!
I was in the NY Hospital for Special Surgery which, according to a plaque in the lobby, had been called The New York Hospital for the Ruptured and the Crippled
I can imagine the conversations in the corridors
I had surgery there last year!
So many amazing stories here
Oh wow. I've not been for many many years (this is probably a good thing)
ruptured and crippled! Oh my!
it is a good thing.
Yeah. "So, what's wrong with you Fred?" "Well, Norm, I'm ruptured. How about you?"
haha
Here , we have what is known as a General and Marine Hospital. It was set up this way for injuries on ship that had to be flown to shore for treatment. it covers things for those not from this country.
We still get Dutch cruise ships here even though the water levels are still off a tad. They have a shallower draft than most.
You're a long way in Crossy.
4 Rs left
go Matty!
All 6s
They can squeak in here. it is quite interesting to see.
sixes are the hardest for me.
We had one of the tall ships berthed here last month as well. Do not see those too often either
Yeah - all RE6s
Yikes!!
I have the one to warm again, having once leased something and to go in again
And to employ someone again
empty someone?
And to run into someone again
you are being very helpful, Matty.
Hmmm...empty someone?
(Hope I'm not giving too much away - tell me to shut up if so)
no problem
One left - the last re6....and 5 minutes
you have the one who leases an apartment?
GASP!
Yep. I'm missing the very, very last one
what?
The last re in the list
it's re + number of fingers + vowel
Love you lots, hego - that's fireworks - thanks! I can put my shoes on and enjoy a pint, music and good friends. Thanks all!
yaa for matty!
Have Fun!!!
See you all on the morrow
wish I was going with you, matty:)
Wish I was going with her!
An honest-to-goodness pub with good beer and music that is not just a wailing shriek at 140 db, but good pub music would be a grand thing.

Hiyas, kiddos! Need last word, Un6. Any clues?
un 6/24 to miss connecting with someone for an appointment
not encountered?
Ha. Highly suspect word, but thank you. Fireworks then!
dumb word
yaaa for judi!!
When I un6 you, I will unshake your hand.
Yay!! Judi!
Judi, LOVE the icon
Being married to a German, I have heard this before
what Bichon?
Judi's icon
Oh yes, saw it on FB.
Kummerspeck
Thanks. I thought it was rather hilarious. Grief Bacon. That's one depressed pig.
jIt's on Judi's icon
I have lots of that stuff!
Strange, because bacon usually cheers me up.
Shame, nothing is new here. It's all been seen and talked about on Facebook.
:)
Speck isn't actually bacon though.
Okay you crazy kids. I'm done here. See y'all tomorrow!
Just similar.
Good stuff.
bye Judi
Yes, it more like lard
Judi, it's grief fat. Oh well.
on 7/20?
More stubborn
ty Molly
Not really the way it is spelled, but Enable...you know
Hello again
If AZ 5 is a noun, how can it be P/T for the 6? Doesn't make any sense to me.
hi car thanks for the az's
AZ huh?
Hi westford...glad to help
You are still trying to make sense of this? *Passes Car a drink*
I really wanted wazoo
Thank you, Molly
hello molly and curi
Just sip your drink and type in random, meaningless words. It will all be just fine.
car are you still on bed rest?
That's just what I do
Bed rest???
as much as she can be
Just got up...had initial doc appt and x-ray this morning...mri is pending
Oh Lord, what now?
Still me back, dear...nothing else, just can't stand it anymore
And from DH's attitude, neither can he apparently
read in the chat that you asked about sciatica..I had a bout with it years ago..solved the problem by getting rid of my extra big, extra heavy shoulder bag
probably too simple but it worked
I hardly ever carry a purse/bag
No one here seems to be into it, but I highly recommend acupuncture
I'm considering it
clue please for the first RE 5/10
spanish lasso?
ty
Yes, usually spelled with an I
And the last RE 6/18 please?
Car, like Molly, I can recommend acupuncture. Our local hospital has started to offer it in the physiotherapy department.

So not so much bed rest : D

They combine it with exercise so - as you say - no bed rest
didn't look at the stats, so I didn't even know there was a 10 and and 11 until I found the 10. :)
Well done redshoes
Wow, I find it hard not to look at that word stats when they are right under the grid.
I don't look at them very much at all
Fireworks
Ty all, have a good night
yay car feel better
Hard to get nbt and nbs when you don't look at the word stats
Hey, everybody. How about a clue for those biggies, redshoes?

Congrats gramma!
I'm going to take a little rest before dinner. See you all tomorrow.
bye gramma enjoy !
Every time I begin to enter a word a list appears of all the words I have tried. Is there a way to get rid of this feature?
no idea tessa unless it's auto correct going bonkers
Could be..
I think it's finally time to get rid of the summer clothes..I hate this
I really need a staff
West needs ladies in waiting.
that's for sure
I'd like a lady's maid
Tessa is that a regular Babble problem or a Lickety Expert problem?
Mrs. Patmore has dinner waiting..Hah.
I probably need to go to the expert!
No, Expert is another program. It makes no sense to me that all your words appear in the ADD WORD box. It's not set up to take more than so many characters.
phantoms: toadeater and meuniere
Actually a list appears above the box after I enter the first couple of letters
There isn't any place for words to appear above the ADD WORD box. Are you sure you are entering your words in the right place? See the ADD WORD box under the grid.
if you are not using expert, words you have previously typed do show in a dropdown near the add box. Like it trys to anticipate what you are typing.
I see.
I'm confused. This happens in Expert or Regular Babble?
There is no connection between Expert and Babble.
just coming out of lurking to say that this happens to me when I use my tablet to play.
Getting better with the meds, thanks. Husband being very attentive - it is almost worth the vertigo. lol
