well, not really, I am afraid. I used to take 3x600mg gabapentine, and now 2x75 lyrica. Must build up slowly until it works. Right now, I have pain allover and weird nerve stuff in my legs and feet.

oh, and sprite. i found some high-density cushions at my supermarket, which under the seat cushion for the armchair, elevates the seat to a height which i can easily get up and down from. and the sitting doesn't hurt my hips or lower back.

yes. Spasms and then tensing up until the whole back is hard as a plank. A heat pack would help, I think, but we don't have one, lol. When I can get up again, I'll try a hotwater bottle (the rubber version of it, don't know the english word)
we use rubber hot=-water bottles too. the moist heat is good. i empathise my darling...i can feel the pain. *gentle hugs*

at the moment the only heat i can endure is warm water. physio suggested the adhesive heat packs...the problem is i cannot stand the contact on my skin.
oh, same for me. When I remove such a pack, my skin comes along.

that reminds me of the kaolin poultices we used during my training...probably the same principle.
we had to use old cotton calico material, spread the kaolin paste on one, lay another over the top, then heat it in hot water before applying to our patients.
yes I think that is the same principle. This stuff, they heat in hot water, then put between sheets of plastic, then apply.

Mimi, I hate to disillusion you but we live in a house in a cul-de-sac and we have had police looking for drugs, people threatening others with guns and escaped prisoners being pursued by helicopter plus some pervert who was nicking knickers off washing lines who was also trying to evade capture by the police in a helicopter. All this in the last year in a 12,000 population small Devon town.

i brought it to Ireland with me and that is how I got on facebook each night at the hotel - they all offerred free wifi
my mom has the ipad and cant do it very well at all with wifi but i have heard with kindle you can
use facebook
I have friends with ipads and they have no issues. It does take some getting used to after working on a PC.
I love my Kindle - bought it as a book reader but use it for everything now. Its just small ccompared to a computer screen. I got the Kindle Fire HDX.
i kind of thought so but i have a friend who tried facebook on an ipad and decided to take it back because ether she couldn get it to work or i just wouldnt. My mom never has the right screen on her ipad it seems like/

The small screen and small keys are not easy to use for some people.

what a day! Hudsband went out to run a sall errand and, after almost 2 hrs, I sent th handyman to look for him and called the local police who called the town gendarmes. I finally got a call from the hospital where he'd been taken after falling in the street.
He's OK, but I had to "spring" him from the hospital because he wouldn't stay.
