I'm taking a course of antibiotics and paracetamol, which really doesn't do much for the pain. No, rose, I don't, but the teething gel sounds like a good idea

biltong, try ibuprofen in conjunction with the paracetamol. they work on 2 different pathways and can be taken together.
So I take it the to5/12 will have to come out at some stage?
also try codeine in one of them.
Ibuprofen is great for reducing the swelling :-)
I personally can not take any codeine products.They tend to give me a nasty headache.
me...codeine gives me a high. my metabolism produces the morphine too rapidly.
Thanks for the advice, will get some ibruprofen as well. The paracetamol I am taking has codeine. Yes, zooz, it will be extracted
I had an injection the other day for my tendonitis in the shoulder, the ibuprofen was great at keeping the pain at bay.

I have a pair of pliers somewhere. I can come rouund and whip that ache out in no time :-)

Biltong, have you tried using warmsalt water on your tooth? Here awhile back I had the same trouble and it did help me until I pulled the thing out

Scrabs, question for you. Is it an old wives tale that after a head injury, you are supposed to wake a child up every hour at night and shine a flashlight in their eyes?
Just old advice. No need to use flashlight. But waking person every 2-3 hrs is ok--to see if person is alert and oriented, although being woken up is unpleasant. Signs of concussion = headache, dizziness, confusion, sleepiness, vomiting.

Bleeding in brain is uncommon but will cause worsening headache, recurrent vomiting, confusion, los of consciousness. A normal CT of brain after a head injury can be normal but bleeding may be ongoing and not seen at outset.

i do try to buy my books from better world books first using goodshop which provides a donate to the charity of my choice. . . my old job though i may change that some day. . . even amazon you can do good shop
we used to have freecycle up here, but i think they closed down - hard to get rid of good used stuff anymore. i have a couch i want to give away - a leather reclining lazy-boy. one side needs a new handle; other than that, it's not in bad shape - can't find anyone to take it!
bummer. . . still have freecycle down here. . . its an elist. . . maybe you could start it up again. . . also there is a group called a wider circle that takes decent used furniture to give to homeless people getting apartments. . . .
i hate taking it to the dump - even the agencies that provide temp housing don't take big pieces of furniture

Alberta. Very nice area but I have to wait for the spring thaws. We have been rambling on a bit about a Babble bus for a major kind of get-together. Right now I think it is very much a dream. However, I am not ruling out a visit to Alberta and welki!
