oh, i have been there. it was magic.
It was getting a bit tired looking but they seem to be doing lots of renovations.
dee, everyone who has a job in the family, and who wants to participate joins in. all the names go into the 'hat'. and someone's name is drawn against a person's name. obviously you don't buy for your own spouse. and all children are not a part of it. it means for the extended family you only have to buy for one person a gift of an agreed value, on behalf of the whole family.
Hubby's family would never agree; which is one reason they are not overly fond of me. I have issues with all of their gift giving... that is the only reason they get together. Several years ago, we informed everyone we are only buying for his mom... went over like a lead balloon...then we shop for our immediate family, a few aunts with no family, by brother, daughter and son-in-law. Not sure how time got away from me...
I think maybe our daughter's move stole all my holiday prep time lol... my excuse and I am sticking to it :)
well you could do it for your side of the family, which is what we do...come to think of it, we haven't heard from fang yet re christmas...

I often list, Ruby. But I try my best to find the words first. then ask for a few stats or clues if needed before that. Just my personal style of doing the grid.
I think tat each of us develops his own level of sastisfaction. Of course, I read over the latest chat, gleaning clues, but never bother (or have time to go bback over the whole day
In the help section it does explain how the point system works for the word tiles so normally the four letter words should be easy tofind if you know the stats. More work involved when there is more ltters though..lol

What's really nice about this game is that you can go in and out during the day, visit a little, add a few words, or just disappear. Also, when things get tough, it's great to know that there is usually somebody to listen and to offer advice

I adopted two cats this past year. Embry needed a playmate, so we adopted Viv about two months ago. Viv is just shy of a year old now. She's a tabby/orange/white mish-mash of a cat. Just a lovey little doll.

Cheer up - Lickety's site just told me that a user name and password were required! You're right Molly - once a server problem develops it can be a mean task to get back to running.
The request for a username and password is also a mistake. Obviously, the server is in some kind of dire straits. And according to Lickety, he is having a hell of a time getting through to them. Technical difficulties are not illegal.
