just the wrapping to do here...food all sorted thank heavens.
actually the pudding has 30 minutes to go. house smells divine.
though I have to go into town to the courthouse to file signature sheets in the morning - running for village board member. And then the library all afternoon... but I'll find time.
egad rbud....
*!* ta da *!* -- good night, all :-)
WTG NAN!!!
congrats, nan - nite! :)
well done nan, good night
I thought maybe it was time for me to try being on the town board after 24 years here, lol - I did the library board for years before becoming librarian.
four seats open right now, seems a good time.
good luck, rbud. i hope it works out for you.
fw and off to bed, SIL and grandson arrived today, they'll take us over to Van where we'll have Christmas with the rest of the western part of our clan
thanks! don't think there's much competition.

whoot....liz girl...{{hugs}}
forgot to say yesterday...~~~ happy birthday to you~~~
Hi Rose and thanks. What a silly little grid.
yes it is....but it does flow nicely. did you enjoy yesterday?
It was really lovely. Did you see my email?
yes thanx dear girl. such lovely pics....and as you know dolphins/porpoises are my fave animal...lol
they are everything i am not...sleek, lively and able to move through the water with ease.
I know. That's one reason why I was so happy they turned up. Shame I only had my phone.
Ah but the probably don't have your humour and personality.
*giggle* loves ya
:)
just a thought....the dolphins were my proxies....to make your birthday special...
i missed our sprite last night...did you catch up with her?
Aw:) that's like the whale that came to our wedding. A friend said it was sent by my mum.
No - saw no one yesterday. Did grid quickly early on.
dearest....if i disappear...youngest son and his wife are calling in
No probs.
How's your brother?
still home...he sees speciallist tomorrow.
such a worrying event to happen...
Hope he's making progress.
he is, dear. have spoken to SIL...some discomfort only.
Hope that the specialist will be happy.
ditto...SIL is quite hopeful.
Let me know.
You could do with good pnews at this time of year.
definitely will.
*chuckle* ya think?
I think.
if sprite comes on and i'm not here, could you please let her know where i am? and deliver some hugs and kisses?
Sure but I'm outta here very soon.
well hopefully she will see the chog and know i am not avoiding her at all. *sigh*
She'd never think that.
tu
g'day marigold
I'm outta here. Hi marigold and bye. Hugs, Rose.

marc, latin plural of cu5/14
But my ae might help Marc!!
I don't have the cu5
lol, pms
Thanks PMS
cu5/14, papal court
omg a baby babble :(
good morning all :)
{{hugs}} my dearest sprite
hello my dear friend. How are you today?
thanks
bad start to the day, better at this end...lol
and how was your night, dear?
*hugs rose* and sending pain-reducing vibes your way. My night was ok. Hectic dreaming, but not too ugly.
youngest son and wife called in tonight. *sigh* it appears that mother AGAIN has to open the door. *sigh*
the more it changes, the more it is the same, huh. Well, you aren't too proud for that. As my dear friend Jom used to say: If they want to see the bear dance, make the bear dance.
it still makes me arc up...why do i have to do all the apologising? and for what??
cr5/22, please?
interesting point made...apparently partner, lisa, is not adverse to me marching up and claiming my stake on sophia.
so true, rose. I'd say, because you are the mum... and because you want that granddaughter in your life.
c + the farmlands are pretty ****l.
good for her! Grandparents are important for a child. Maybe she realises.
marc, no vowels. cr + high scoring tile + **rong, a mob or large group of people
oh, that one, lol. One of the scots babblets.
yup, sprite
lisa does, sprite. son needs to get his head around that fact.
wellllll usually the woman wins, in cases like that. Being a mother now might have opened her up to all this.
Morning. I think you'll find that the cr5/22 is Welsh.
g'day frances
got it thanks really strange word
hi Frances, lonnnnng time no see. Glad to see you. And ah, yeah, that could very well be.
yay marc
Hello rose and sprite. Yes, a long time. I tend to lurk most days.
great to see you in chat, Frances. How have you been?
I have been struggling this year. I've had a leg ulcer for nine months. Thankfully it is on the mend. I have also gone in both knees. Bet you're glad you asked now - not. LOL!
awww, poor you frances...i feel for you, hin.
of course I am glad... it is good to know, so I can send up some good wishes and prayers for you. It sounds so painful!
sprite?? i sent you an email, hin. no biggy, dear.
yeah I read it, sweetie. Will reply after babble. In 3 mins, I guess, lollll.
Knees are fine when I'm on the sofa with legs elevated. The problem is when putting any weight on them. Walking up or down hills - even very slight ones is very painful and stairs are a killer. Shouldn't complain as there are people far worse off than me.
complaining in moderation is very healthy, Frances :) Let it out... sure, some people are worse off. Still, you are hurting and that isn't nothing.
xoxox frances...i so know what you are saying, dear. {{hugs}}
It is so good to see you on here. it seems that whenever I am here none of the old timers are. I haven't seen the likes of jillibus and mrp for example for absolutely ages. Hope they are well.
jillibus is writing a book about her great danes...mrp is caught up with life.
rose and I are usually online at this time of day, and a little earlier. But lots of the old timers seem to lurk nowadays :(
OK. Thanks for the update.
the old timers are so tired of the bickering...and i do not blame them. who wants to be attacked every time they log into chog?
is that still going on then? What a shame. Well, I hope they will join in at this time then. Would love to see and hear from them again.
Rose, that is why I stopped chatting. This has always been a great site and i hated some of the bullying that was going on.
bullying is so cowardish. Wish everyone who hates it would come back to babble and speak up against it.
hello?
Me too.
Hello ruby.
Raffie just had her eye-stitches out and, although a bit bloody, looks very pretty already.
That is a lot of dog!
hello ruby?
Hello Frances
{{sprite}} I never know what time it is untilI log in
Oh ruby, what happened to Raffie?
She had Entropion in both eyes, like many chows, and although the breeder said it had been taken care of in Spai before she came, I think she lied as Raffie's eyes were squinty andrunny.
hehehe silly ruby :) Good to hear about Raffie. Tim's eye recovered in warp speed once the stitches came out, I hope same goes for Raffie.
Now she lookslike a different dog! Exceptionally beautiful, not that I amprejudiced or anything
of course not. And you are right. She looks gorgeous.
dinner ready. xoxox
The only way to tell the two dogs apart is by their ears and theirpersonalities
enjoy, rose *hugs*
The first word I found, (bad Nel), is what I would call whoever designed this mean little grid!
Poor Raffie. I hope the recovery is good. And sprite, what happened to Tim?
Tim was in an accident. Broken cheekbone, a tiny rupture in his skull, and one eye and his mouth rent. All is healing up very well, thank God. Only the concussion is still causing him headaches.
lol ruby...
I once called a totally incompetent boss of mine (an Englishman) that word, appropriately, and I thought he would faint
Sprite that all sounds so very painful. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Ruby, I hate that word. When it appears here I have to close my eyes when I type it.
off to lunch, see you later, kids
lol no wonder! You are such a little fire-eater :D I once said to one of my bosses, another imcompetent jerk btw: "Count with me: one head! Two hands! There is a limit to how many of your messes I can clean up after you."
oh you too, Frances? Same here. Kind of cringing when I type it.
I don't like it either, but it certainly had the desired effect (and I didn'tget fired! lol)
LOL Ruby I hope you washed your mouth out after that utterance.
I think I'm a hard and tough New Yorker at heart, not much softness left.
thanks Frances. Yeah it was painful, and quite a scare too. So close to losing him. But he is very much on the mend.
bye ruby, enjoy your lunch!
*woof*
my dogs and friends get all the love I have left
Bye ruby.
Bye ruby.
and back....xoxox
wb rose :) How was your dinner?
ugh, another finger nail has peeled off...
:( how come?
yummy as usual, sprite. chicken kebabs marinaded in bbq sauce, grilled with steamed rice and real butter.
sprite, i don't know. the index and middle finger on left hand keep peeling.
sounds delish!
how odd.
i will file it tomorrow...hopefully stop the rot...lol
lol
okay, have sent suggested sms to recalcitrant son...guess what??
no response...sigh
of course not. He will let you stew for a bit. The jerk.
i am thinking i might message his partner, lisa, direct...
smart move, I think.
so close to curfew.
lisa wants me in sophia's life...i hope it doesn't come between them. ( lisa and dan)
your son is an idiot, forgive me for saying so.
ah well....just one question.
why do i have to be the strong one...especially now?
because you are. At all times. *hugs*
*rolls eyes*
darling, have you finished?
no, am doing too many things at the same time here. I have 2 left.
*zips lips and fingers*
your eldest has been hurt in youth and never got over it, rose. Which means a part of him is stuck in child mode. And forces you into parent mode.
according to youngest, nothing i have done in the childhood is effecting him...and he sees that. i just have to wait and see what he thinks is "my" fault now. *sigh*
eldest acknowledges, at least to his siblings, i never hurt him in his childhood.
you weren't the one doing the hurting. But he blames you nevertheless. He is pretty messed up, alas.
fireflies
*nodding head* exactly dear.
WTG SPRITE!!!
omg...just realised the time...and my meds are not ready...sprite, xoxox dearest.
*hugs* sweetie. Sleep well. Am gonna answer your email now.
Frances, it was great seeing you again. I hope you will pop in more often again. *hugs* And healing vibes to you too.
sprite, i hope you have a day which is relaxed and full of good things. xoxox
good morning everyone:)
Good morning Crossy! Good morning all!
how is car this fine morning?
Tired but good
You are on break from school, correct?
yes indeed;) Am off till January 5th;)
yahoo!! g'day crosy and car. sorry to see you are so tired car. why so?
((rose))
Hi granny! Just morningtime me!
{{crossy}}
cvar, so not tired?? but just sleepy still?
or have you had a hard night, dear?
Yes, i think so. I could always use more sleep though!
Quiet night actually and I was in bed by 9:00.
I'm NOT a morning person
So getting my son up to catch the bus by 6:55 is agony! LOL
ugh on that car...how old is your son?
12
The other one doesn't get on the bus until 8:30
oh yeah...that sucks in a major way....yes, you as the mom, have to be the prime mover and shaker.
Hubby is on vaca and did it the last couple of days last week. Today, he gets to sleep in.
okay....sharing the chore at least makes it bearable. xoxox car.
almost 11pm here...methinks i need to be in my bed....xoxox to all. enjoy the grid. nice and easy it is.
Good night granny! Sleep well!
before you go Rose, have a Happy Christmas and may your new year be prosperous
Clue please for CR 5/22?
cr + last three of the "light" that shines around you
I have that one; the CR 5/14, but thank you
I believe it has to have the W in it, but I can't figure out how!
Good morning to you Molly
Yes, sorry, it's Welsh. Use lisp sound at the end
Good grief! tyvm! Fireworks
Pat, I would like to buy a vowel for that word?
The Welsh consider W a vowel. Not sure why
Its like the Russians with their consonants, I guess
OK... time to get bachelor #2 up and out the door for school. HAGD!
hello1, 28 this AM of this mean little grid. Ho ho ho, NOT
hello friends. I missed car - boooooo!
oh geesh....babbling at school, and THE WORD is in the grid!! quelle horreur!
People get so freaked out about that word. It's just a word. : )
FINISHED!! VERY EXCELLENT!
I know molly, but I am at school....
huzzah for godthaab!
Are people reading over your shoulder?
they could be. Also, this could be a monitored account - it's just never a good idea to swear in school
Well, between playing obscene word games and toting hooch to school in your purse, I'd say your days are numbered.
hahahahaah
bell is going to ring. Later!
lol@just a word. it is just a word if you are A: Celtic, B: a time traveler from the 1840's , C: into stringed instruments from that period, or D: a babbler who loves odd words that are never seen anywhere else:)
I love how the description says it is similar to a cithara.. now it all comes clear:)
We were talking about the dirty C word
firewords! tx Moll & all cluers - the ai7 compound word was my last
Oh, That word. Bloody thing is in every other grid, so no sense getting bent out of shape about it. there are many vile words we must deal with:)
well that was a short one!....done...
That was fast, penquis. I need 19.
hang in there!
whoa! scrabs isn't at work?
I am at work but waiting for a patient to show up.
huh, the patient is late, unusual
I am at the Indian Reservation clinic and we have lots of no-shows here.
hello peeps.
Feeling better, Owl?
owlsy behbeh
huh scrabs, course it could also be that I'm perennially early
For appts, Nut?
tuit
yes, ty.
Not a word
yes, cause you never know if you can squeak in early
heya nut
Sometimes it works, especially if the previous people no-show
i think the office schedules them early, to allow for paperwork. but thedrs always run late.
so the early thing NEVER workd for me.
hello all
Most common reasons for us running late = late arrivals, long list of concerns thus too much for one appt, and tag-along kids ("Could you take a peek at my other darling?"
Hi aslindy
hiya Scrabbs
and TO and aslindy
gosh, they will tell us to schedule another appt if we haul out a laundry list. but they just tok down the wall of glass that separates staff frm patients. lots of rom now that the physical files are gone. hi, dan
Hi Dan. Is Little Miss 2Bit excited out of her mind for Xmas?
hi,lindy
oh, my fav Babble word is in the grid today. cr5,22
oh heck. nothing like the bakery down the road being featured on tv to get the cravings started
Mmmm, whipped cream!
german butter cake. ooey,artery-clogging goodness.
More of a hint, aslindy?
Is it a Welsh word with no vowels?
yes indeed
time to run, happy babbling, all.
Got it.
Bye, Owl.

aaugh! Just listed; can't believe I missed the lone i word. Oh well :-)
and fireworks. Pretty much all the words I didn't get last night right after the flip were fish.
only babble land will understand my frustration
reading a report where instead of commas
the writer used "--" throughout
no commas?
just dashes
Only one thing to say to that eva.....WHY?
I don't know!!!!
strange, I think.
these are people with bachelors at a minimum
Did you get your red pen out? :)
yeah but they'll never see it :-(
That doesn't seem to matter anymore.
it should in official documents
In a world where no one can be bothered to spell out entire words, that doesn't surprise me.
I have a family member who has a masters in English and his grammar and spelling are painful to read.
Even newspapers are riddled with glaring errors.
yes, I have to fix where in same reports they use @ instead of 'at'. um, you didn't even save a keystroke when you sacrificed my respect for you.
Is it laziness?
i know i struggled with sentence structure in high school and it took me years after to clear up to my not perfect present self. but, i think its lowered expectations across the board.
Oh don't say it's lazy, people get all huffy around here when you say that.
Yup!
the difference, I try to improve myself. I feel like they don't care. and yes, this is a chog so i don't try hard here.
I have great respect for words and language, which is why I don't use the "trendy" abbreviations.
In Babble chat, it's not a big deal but when you're composing?
yes hego, if the paper is expected to stand in court, it should be expected to meet certain standards. otherwise someone could argue the writer was an idiot and didn't understand what they were talking about or that what was said is ambiguous.
Interesting...
rant over, me go to worksies now. :-)
Exactly, a comma in the wrong place can totally change the meaning.
As nurses we were supposed to be aware that our notes are considered legal document and to write with this in mind.
lol, now that you've wound up the chog
oh good! te he he. and makes sense hego. okay, i need to figure out what this guy is saying.
Rabble rouser!
good luck!
Why, it's a Christmas miracle. Someone is rousing rabble and it's not me.
all you babblers have a safe and blessed holiday
Same to you jewwel
49 words....maybe i can finish this one....
hi...
hi all
I donated blood today.
yaa for peri!!
ty.it was the 2nd time for me this year. In the same church which is very close to where I live with free parking. All went well.
As one who has made withdrawals in the past, I thank you on behalf of those who may need it in the future:)
now, they can help up to 5 people , i think it is, with but a single pint of whole blood:)
The gift of life;)
I am glad that I am able to help
hi peri, crossy...
howdy, penquis
Molly ... I have just read your profile about Joe Cocker our "local lad" .... you knew before me. I didnt realise he was so well known over there.
reading back on the irritating -- used instead of commas. That is "stream of consciousnesses" writing , and can be quite effective--if used correctly.
oh! and hi everyone, hope you are looking foreward to Christmas.
merry Christmas to you as well, Mo
thank you crossy.
Think of -- as a 3/4 pause used for emphasis on the word immediately after it and you have it. Though I was always taught to use it sparingly outside of poetry, and no more than two or three times on a given page.
One would not know it, but I write rather well outside of the train wreck that is my babble chat:))
It is very quiet in here tonight so I will tiptoe out. (I would not doubt it crossy)
Yes, tiny grids make for quiet chogs:(
too true ... so I think I will go and do "jigidi"!!!! Bye to you crossy and anyone else who is around. Merry Christmas everyone!
I have not done a Jigidi puzzle in a while> I should hit one soon and add a few new ones to my offering there.
Joe Cocker was a well known musician all over the world. He will be missed.
hi all.
clue for the 7 pleaes?
joe cocker died? wow.
how old was cocker?
70
wow. young. was he a druggie? his voice always was so hoarse.
i dont see any clues down below. any clues for the 7? help!!!!
i still have blank tiles. darn. and no sixes either. so clues are most welcome and stats.
He was not a "druggie". He died of cancer.
oh ok. ty molly.
anyone have the ai 7 word?
I was a big fan as is my French friend here. She even went to one of his concerts
i must go listen to some of his music on line.
any one have the ai 7??????? i know it is staring me in the face.
ai7/48 - compound word: personnel on a plane
still need clues for the words for 7 and sixes.
ty
GOT IT. TY MONTREAL!!!!!!!!!! i knew it was right there....ty.
super clue.
yw mkg :)
you can leave your hat on... R.I.P Joe cocker
i have a cu6, latin plural of cu5
and IN6/21...
good one cross ;)
ty for clues. i cant get that cu 5. been trying for a while now. darn.
FW ! - nice "seeing" you cross and mkg - must go - happy babblings all and take care "poof"
got the six that is cu. ty ty ty
now must look for the in........
by montreal
One thing I liked about Joe in his later career was he always looked like someones slightly weird uncle after a 3-day bender--until he started singing.
anyone have a clue for the in 6?
cross i must go remind myself about him.
mkg...to know or understand
His songs are well worth looking up again.
ty for clue champ. got it.
how about clues for the two cr 5s? i cant seem to get either one.
oops just found one of them! so sorry.
oops. no i didnt. i thought i did but didnt. sorry. so still need the two cr 5s please if anyone has clues.
ok finally found the cr words. anyone need help or clues?
with 4 left i give up for now.
clues for the u
s and upper corner t?
Sorry...went away for a bit. I'll take the cr clues!
cr + last three letters of "light" that shines around you...cr + weird sometimes vowel + lisp letters
must be dense day instead of Monday, because not getting those clues...
I see no y in this grid
Okay, lets go with the spell it out clues...cr + Rob Petrie was married to La*** Petrie (Dick Van Dyke Show)...cr + tea *i** bread and jam
so do not worry, that one stumps me as well
The vowels are a,e,i,o, u and sometimes y and *
a 6th vowel? interesting...
oooh that cr is a terrible word, i'd never have got that
Oh wow - I'd forgotten all about that cr babblet. It's included in my review of this place
must be an extra vowel I do not know about.. if you mean the welsh cons. nightmare then I have it
though you must tell me this other "sometimes" vowel after a,e,i,o,u, and y.. it will drive me nuts:)
Molly.. I hope ya
((soodles))
I hope you are still on.... Google Text Santa Downton Abbey and watch both episodes... You'll love it.
Hey Crossy.((())) Happy Christmas, ole bud.
Same to you and yours, Soodles:))
Raise a glass for me, and I shall raise a glass for you:)
All three of mine are home Cross. Fighting, bickering and stressing me. I love every milisecond of it.
lol, Our entire family gets together once every 5 years, gets drunk, fights, and agrees to do it again in another 5.:)
Hmm. Very good idea. Once a year can be a bit too frequent.
Does anyone have the ai7 - is it the obvious first three letters?
My little brother is in Las vegas now , so I do not see him very often:(
ai7= people who operate planes
Matty, the lovely lads and lasses who point out the emergency exits so beautifully...
Yep, it's obvious. Mind you, I do have my six year old niece here 'helping'
or distracting (charmingly)
Take your pick!
Being careful at what words she sees!!!!
6 year old neices are a huge help. My 10 year old nephew got me fireworks recentlyl. HI, NIECE OF MATTY!!!
Emily!
That's her name
W is a Welsh vowel, not a consonant
I've just defined twit and twee for her (avoiding the C words)
Poor old Chez Soodle is reeling. It has been cleaned withing an inch of it's life. Not a cobweb nor speck of dust remains. All my clothes are stuffed into my wardrobe, threatening to tumble out if a door is opened. MOTHER is coming to stay for Christmas, and I may never find any of my 'stuff' ever again.
Kids are taught in school that the vowels are a,e,i,o,u and sometimes y and w. Maybe not in "other" countries.
Thousands of spiders are homeless toninght.
yes. we used to form "dipthongs" with y and w, as in ow in cow and oy in toy.
hi all. back to finish the 4 words left. ugh.
i wish i knew welsh.
Are they all battering down the doors trying to get back in? Hi, Soodle
soodle, it sounds like fun.
Hey Jaxx. Legions of the little critters are planning their revenge on me as i type.
my daughter had a baby on dec. 10th, a boy, and so 4 of my kids and spouses and 10 of the grand kids were here and it was a lot of work and a lot of fun. now i need about 3 days to clean it all up. the playroom is a disaster. will spend about 3 hours there alone.
Don't go to sleep then soodle. They'll get in and reoccupy those corners
Oh, MKG, that sounds like a wonderful gettogether.
for my youngest sons wedding, we will be 32 of us: me and hubby, 6 kids, 5 spouses, 19 grandkids. we are going to stay in a hotel near the wedding and i pray that we can afford it. we have to pay for many to fly in. so it will be pretty expensive. i hope we can manage it all with the meals etc. for 5K and then another 5 K to fly kids from israel and 3K for others to fly in. but should be fun.
it was glorious. we had what we jews call a Bris. And there were about 100 people here. and i cooked and did it all. it was super great.
Jaxx, I'll have match-sticks holding my eyes open, with my trusty feather duster primed and ready to catch these little rascals..
Fantastic, mkg.
but at age 67, it is harder than it used to be.
Yikes, MKG.. thats a huge ask.
my kids know i am here for them. so it is wonderful.
the kids bought me "tiles" for my birthday. they are to put on things so you can find them.........very cute.
I am not Jewish but my best friend from college is and we have joined in with several celebrations. You certainly know how to throw a party.
Excuse me.... Did you just say you catered ford 100 people????
She did indeed. We oldies know how to cope!
we had blintzes (i made 175), latkes (90), bagels (100), 7 pounds of lox, salad, tabuli salad, chumus, brown olives, green olives, slices of onion, slices of tomato, slices of cucumbers (8 giant english ones), pita, cream cheese, sour cream for the latkes, applesauce, applesauce with cinn., two kids of donutes, and brownies. it went very well.
MKG.... My hat is off to you. Wow. And I'm advance stressing about catering for 11 people on Christmas Day.
it is all expectations. i didnt expect anything and so it was fine. there is a man who wrote a book about the fact that we are not happy if we expect things and dont get them so it is best not to have ANY expectations. and then you are happy for any help you get.
You will have to import mkg, soodle. 11 will be easy after all that.
shall i fly in soodle?
or should i say please fly me in soodle!
but cant go now since i want to help my daughter for the next week or two with the new baby.
mkg.... i NEED you.
soodle, i learned long ago that you can cook for many if you just cook what you know and is easiest for you.
My mother's mantra when she ran a guest house, mkg
for example, when i made dinner for 75 on friday night before my sons bar mitzvah, it was at my house. so i got 15 chickens each about 4 pounds. i put all by two in my freezer and every night i cooked 2 of them in alum pans. i cleaned them and then sprinkled on some seasonings: some had garlic powder and onion powder, some had paprika, some had dill, some had soy sauce on them, some had tomato sauce, some had oregano, some had old bay, some had powdered mushroom soup, some had powdered onion soup. and then i baked them and put them covered in the freezer.
then for sides: what does it take to cook up 10 pounds of potatos, for 3 nights? and mash it and freeze in alum containers? add some salt, some water to make them mushy and creamy, and some onion powder.
Because I'm an eejit (idiot), I thought it would be a cool idea that if I had to forensically clean the house for my mother, then I should invite all other family members over, who would think that a clean and tdiy house was par for the course round here. Mistake.
and for veges: a huge tossed salad. and pickles and olives which only require opening cans, and then i made 10 pounds of frozen spinach, 15 pounds of frozen corn, 10 pounds of frozen carrots. and poof, we had dinner...........
MMMM. Sounds delish, MKG....
and as an extra, i have an absolutely fantastic recipe for a health salad: it is 3 pounds of finely chopped veges like cabbage, green pepper, red pepper, cucumbers, celery, scalions, fresh dill, fresh cilantro, fresh parsley (any or all of it) and add half a cup of oil, 3/4 cup of vinegar, 4 teaspoons of salt, and half a cup of sugar or splenda. mix it all up and poof, this can sit in the fridge for up to a month!!!!! due to the vinegar the veges get "pickled" so they are good for a month. so i made several of these and had them in the fridge. and it was all good.
It must be nice to have room for 75.
so most was cooked and then frozen, even the veges. and it all came out thurs eve and friday was put into oven to warm up and poof, we had dinner. now i must admit, i buy the breads and the desserts.
molly i dont really have the room. people sit all over the house, or stand and eat. i cant do a sit down dinner for 75. we had tables all over the place and chairs too. but i think a lot didnt sit.
it was buffet and i recall many sitting on couches and etc.
oh gee i am getting side tracked. now must get the last 4 darn words. ugh. any clues for the e word for the left top corner of grid E?
It takes a big house to hold 75, whether they are at a table or milling around.
true. we have a sun room addition and that helps a lot.
Not to mention a kitchen big enough to cook for that many. Sounds like a nice life.
but with 100 the house is crowded to a point where everywhere you look there are mobs.
my kitchen is small: it is 11 feet by 14 feet with a table in it. so not large. but i do have a freezer that is big in the laundry room so that is how i do it. otherwise i cant do anything. i made the blintzes and latkes and froze them. that is the key to it all.
Yeah.. my two sunrooms are pack to the gills too
if you wish to borrow my house let me know.
Almost midnight here. My hands smell of bleach. Every muscle and joint is aching. I will drag my exhausted ass off to the pit. I will sleep easy knowing that at least, in my bedroom, no spider survives. (Or if a spider does survive - it's a homeless one).
i try to keep my rooms sparce. before the events we move the extra pieces of furniture like small tables and foot stools into my beddroom to store them. and the high chairs.
soodle, enjoy a nice long sleep i hope.
