I went to visit the dog yesterday. So listless. It is pancreatitis which is generally non-fatal, but she is not eating and really doesn't look good at all.
I am wondering, I had ran out of his steroid medication and he went a couple of days without, maybe it was withdrawal.

sukee, steroids cannot be stopped without gradually reducing the dose. at least in humans...not sure about animals.

i don't think it's just the insurance - people can pick up so many bugs in hospitals, plus have trouble sleeping and don't get well as fast - so if they don't HAVE to monitor you, you're probably going to do better at home. i read a thing about how terrible it is for you to be in the ICU...

Learned yesterday that my son-in-law who has been working for the national weather service in Hilo Hawaii (our daughter and granddaughter stayed here) has accepted a job which will put him back within the continental states. I'm sure I will survive but it will be an altered "empty nest" issue. during the summers I would "babysit" tues/wed and then spend weekeds up there. during my school year I'm there very weekend. It's the best thing as they need to be a whole family living in one place. I'm going to have to look at it from the standpoint of travel to new places.

I think we'll at least have until school is out as carm said she will not pull jordan from Aspire as she's doing too well!

Hi Bugs! My miss Jordan is quite a peach!! 11 and she still believes there is a Santa and that if you catch a leprechaun you will get his gold. She has come up with some interesting traps but alas, he always gets away. One year, however, he lost his hat!!1 (that was one of my "craftier" moments)
I thought I would at least have a full week before I did this
She does know that if she catches one she has to hang on VERY tightly and must not her eyes off him or he will vanish. I tried valiantly to catch one during my childhood and never even got a nibble.
I'll have to share that with her, bugs
Vermont is s great state tho even tho it is so far away.
I am looking forward to going there as it is someplace I haven't been. I'm sure we'll go at least twice a year and we'll do an every other christmas thing with my other two are with their other families (we call that our "off" year). Can you say--frequent flier miles!!
Plus, I am sure she wants to spend more time with her Mum and Dad together. It should be good
