Good morning. Crossy may I please ask you a question? Yesterday I ran C Cleaner on my laptop. When it had finished I had no sound, It appears to have wiped out my speakers, Do you know how I could get them back please?
Frances, I have never had that happen, but you can adjust your volume settings, by clicking on the little speaker in the bottom right of the task bar then when the volume slider pops up, click on the speaker picture on top of the volume slider. All volume settings can be found there
My problem is it has wiped that too.

go to start/ control panel system and security/ restore your computer to earlier time. Then just pick a date a few days in the past
This is the easiest fix

We live in a tiny apartment, but this building has this amazing lounge room that the tenants can book. It has tables, chairs couches, a bookcase full of books, a fridge and a sink for cleaning up. It is very cozy. I can set us all up in there for a nice brunch with all the trimmings:) You will have to let me know when you are near enough for me to come and get you two for the day.

When in manage audio devices, you can right click on the speaker picture and run a test
And of course check all wires for proper connectivity and do a restart if you have not already done so since running c cleaner. That SHOULD fix the issue
C cleaner does not usually do this:(
But check settings in hardware and sound first
thats why when i run cleaner i only do the cleaning files part.. dont know enough about deleting anything from registry. have had no problems with it

It's very easy to make. It's like apple sauce, but cooked longer so the sugar and apples caramelize together. You can find recipes on the internet, depending on how much you want to make. And it makes your house smell very good while it's cooking

avast found and quarantined something with win32
whih is funny because I've been receiving messages from that program for days, but no waning till now.
Just googled it.and it says win32 is a malware virus.
yes. avast could not repair the file so it put it into quarantine so it cannot run.
Have you gone to add/remove programs and looked to see what the latest programs have been installed on your computer?
would that explain a ,jpg image?
malware and viruses can be hidden in a file named jpg
i scanned the image and it scanned clean
and the win32 came after the offending file was quarentined.
I highly recommend malwarebytes to protect your computer from unwanted malware. You can set it up to scan on a periodic basis.

DH says no more dogs. We still have a cat (Ashes; that was her name before she went through a fire even). SHe belonged to DH's Aunt and we inherited her when Aunty died.
We had talked about not getting new cats when they passed. But I realize I can't live without animals in my life, even if they can be a hassel. They enrich life more.
Nef, I know when we had to put our family pet/dog down, my Dad couldn't handle another dog (ie any further pet loss)

I miss having a dog; but I think it's possibly too soon for DH. And, he may never "want" a dog again (but who knows? We may end up with one anyway someday)
Molly, there is a time period for all of us for grieving; some are longer or shorter than others.
Immediately after burying our dog 6 years ago, my daughter said, "When can we get a new dog?" It took 3 tries to find the right one, but we did it.

We got our first cat years ago; then the first dog about 25 years ago. But we've been "gifted" or inherited many others through the years. This dog we got about 8 years ago when his previous owners were going to put him down. He had 8 pretty good extra years and we liked him

phan, he was about 7 or 8 & the owner's mother had alzheimers so Jane had to be with her most of the day. The dog was very naughty and out of control because Jane's mother hated the dog & he was left alone all day
