usually, the school is closed in the evenings and nights. But the theater group perform their musical and so some kids could get into the school at night... set up a zillion cups with a bit of water in the classroom of their most hated teacher.

Made everyone laugh one time by whipping out a bendy straw and working on my soup that way

i used to serve it on stormy saturday nights. it was full of pureed carrots, celery and onions. the kids never knew they were eating so much vegetables.

I had quite of bit of winter kill with my plants. Worked in my gardens last weekend when spring WAS her for 2 days.

I think the sand and salt is what got to mine. I had to have my driveway sanded many times and then the plows would push the next storms snow with sand up on the gardens that border the driveway.
I think everything in the garden survived

my crabapple tree and barberry bush did just fine. Lilies are coming up. Forsythia is starting to bloom. I cant complain really. I did notice alot of beebalm died and my black eyed susans but over all I guess it is OK

I worked one hard day last Saturday, and blew my sciatica out. it's SO frustrating, as I have a lot to do, and, as you all know, gardens wait for no one.
I have really not done anything with my garden since my ex left 3 years ago. I just couldnt with my hip and back. But I am alive again and enjoyed working out there last weekend. I do know I have muscles that havent been used in a long time as they said hello this week.

So I am sure you all remember me talking about my daughter starting college and art schools and all of that. Well today is her last day of class and she graduate on May 17. Wow!

First year was at Chester College. But they closed for lack of money. She transferred to the New Hampshire Institute of Art and has been there since. She moved back home a couple weeks ago so my house is a disaster zone with her stuff everywhere.
She didnt want to pay rent for April. So has been commuting her last three weeks.

And my Keith starts college in the fall. Big year for both my kids.

I have set up the kids playroom in the basement for her office. They didn't use it anymore. So she has her space for her business.

True, but they will still have debt coming out. I cant afford it all. Keith will have less debt as he plans to commute his first two years and live at home.
She started her business a couple years ago but hasn't actually done the legal stuff. She is a photographer and has been doing weddings and such. Once she graduates she will have to register her business name and all that goes with it. Getting paid under the table days will be over.
She has actually been working as a second shooter for another photographer for 4 years. This other woman is extremely busy and has been referring Sarah on weddings she herself cant take. She is mentoring her.

They are doing well. Penmanship is the real issue. Would be nice to get them doing this in Word, but they shy away from computers for anything other than playing games.
The assignment was easy. Just a bunch of premade sentences and they had to decide if "many" or "much" was the correct word to make the sentence work.

... They can be wonderful people but how do they function in society once they "graduate" ... The kid was 21 ... he can add single digit numbers but counting on his fingers ... I watched him do 30 of them ... But I'm sure he had no idea of what he was doing or why ...
There is one here that cannot tell time but is an ace at video games. there is another here that can add sums like a calculator but can hardly read at the 5th grade level. it is interesting.
I have a 3rd that is making Microsoft Excel just dance but will not communicate.
... That one sounds like autism ... they can be really smart ... but the others are probably working at the highest level that they'll ever attain ... it is interesting work but if it wasn't for the EAs I'd find it utterly discouraging

Way too much personal crap going on over the past few years. I'm ready to move out of PTSD mode once and for all (no, really...honest-to-goodness PTSD...and I didn't even serve my country to get there...ugh).
Whatever people will pay me for! :) I've worked on business books, political blogs, marketing collateral, web content, newsletters, Bible studies, grants...I even review rough drafts of audio books for errors/distracting sounds.
