yes, someone pointed it out to me once and it is true. It seems the randomised new grid isn't that random. There is a kind of progression with the letters of the grid before.
when my husband was in the ER for a couple of hours a few years ago people were coming in and out of his room without sanitizing or washing their hands I was going crazy!
They used to have hand wash dispensers as you entered the hospital and at the door of each ward but they have stopped this now and recommend washing your hands with soap and water but then don't provide such facilities, duh

I am waiting, for the boiler engineer. Yesterday it was the washing machine repairman. Two appliances out in two weeks. We have hot water in only one tap in the house and it is pot luck which tap works. The washing machine sounds like a jet plane coming in to land.

Looking out of the window I can see the Poplar bending over so it must be windy here too. We have workmen on the roof opposite. They are removing the chimneys much to the seagulls disgust as they were nesting there.
I went for my results and, lo and behold, the hospital had lost them. I have had to start again so that's another delay. It has been six months already.
Other than being a little annoyed, I am fine thank you
I did not think workmen were allowed to disturb wildlife nests. Sorry to here about the loss and delay in your reults and treatment. bloody typical though.
They came in about a month ago and removed three nests with eggs in by the simple method of sweeping them off the roof. I tried complaining in the press and to the police after taking advice from the RSPB.
Good for you.Shame you could not taken photos or video footage of this happening.
It was the Bank holiday weekend so the birds came back and again the nests were swept off. One pair gave up but the other two didn't. So far they have rebuilt 6 times.They won't be able to again as they are now removing the chimney stacks the birds nested by. Poor things. I know they are noisy but they are endangered and on the Red list. All are agreed that working on a roof is not a valid reason for removing nests but no-one wants to do anything about it and I am a little too old to climb the scaffolding and tie myself to it.
LOL no I could not climb that high either.But for me it is the fear of heights that prevents me from doing so.Did not know the seagul was on the endangered list though! plenty of them around here. But they still should not of got rid of the nests like that especially with eggs in the nest.
Do you watch Springwatch? They did a feature on herring Gulls and lesser black-backed gulls. It seems as if there are a lot of them because they have moved in so close to us. Herring gulls are endangered and the black-backed are heading the same way. I can remember a time when the sand bank in the estuary here was covered with them but now there are very few.
I watched most of the springwatch series last year but have not managed to watch any this time round.Must record them, as I do enjoy learning about our wildlife.

It is against the Willife Act of 1981 to move nests of seagulls when they have eggs or chicks in them unless they are causing a nuisance or attacking people. These aren't and weren't. nevertheless they have been sent packing in a rather brutal way. last year they shot the chicks.

I have no graduations next year River, and I am enjoying that fact immensely. They are exciting, but draining.
OH NO Molly, Sarah moved back home when she graduated. And Keith is going to a local school and commuting to save on tuition. At least his first two years.
My daughter will be with me for a while yet - the starving artist and all that!
Her school loans come due this fall. She is working but no way can she afford her own place.
I remember all that. It was exciting except for the school loans. All paid off now. Thank God.
at my son's college graduation last week, many of the students had decorated their mortarboards. The biggest applause was for the young woman who had written "Debt Free!" on hers :)
I never had school loans luckily but did not go to college right away. I worked and the company I worked for paid my tuition. I went nights. It was alot but wonderful to get my degree.
I wish all the graduates luck, happiness, health and good fortune.
It's hard to get out of college debt free these days.

No, I did a System reset. That wiped my computer of everything but the files

Bich, it did not wipe your computer. It reset it to the default settings. A System Restore will take you back to your previous settings.

Reset does not wipe your settings. You would have to know a lot about computers to completely strip your hard drive. Reset takes your computer back to the default settings. You need to do a System Restore.
