It is a pleasure to take pills and not have regular chemo as they make you stay overnight in hospital here for chemo, and that won't work with this home situation
When I have to see the doctor, not very often, my friend drives me. The pills are here at home and for the once-a-month shot, a nurse comes to the house
Seems as though that's the making the best of a very difficult situation.
DIL got stuck in Montreal en route as her passport was less than 3 months from expiry and they wouldn't let her board the plane

Sooooo not a rattlesnake. Common garden snake. About 16 inches long. Was healthy before he mowed its head off. I'm sort of dissapointed. Would have cut the rattle off and made him a key chain.

I went swimming once with beads braided into my hair. We were on a cruise, and swimming in the ocean, and something kept tugging at my braids... and I couldn't figure out what it was. Did you know that gar are practically invisible from directly beside them? They are the EXACT color of the water in the light...

However, these plans were put on hold as my 83 yr old mother underwent neurosurgery roughly the same time as Ruby was diagnosed with cancer.. And yes. My home is in jeopardy to the bank. And yes. It seems my kids feel that a good holiday might benefit their mother.

I was going to ask the same question Ru did. Laws are different in different countries. Here, you can divorce someone who takes off, after a certain amount of time. And that is a tricky situation you are in because you are responsible for debt that the two of you entered into. Have you spoken with an attorney?

When you are the co-owner of a debt (like if you co-sign a car loan) you are responsible if the other person defaults. Which is why it is a VERY good idea never to become the co-owner of a debt. You never know.
After all I have heard from women who have been screwed like this, I don't even believe in joint checking accounts anymore.
And to be fair, I am sure men have been screwed the same way. I have only heard stories from women, which is why I stated it the way I did.

I find it horrible that in Ireland you cannot divorce someone who has been gone for nine years. Here in these United States, it's a year and then you can file.
You don't even want to know what my ex did to me in our divorce, about which I knew nothing until a year later. Suffice to say he owes me about $40,000 which I will never see.

I was, Molly, for the sake of "family harmony" but not now that he lied "to my face" on the phone about a VERY sensitive and important issue that we experienced TOGETHER. He denies it and that's the last straw for me. That conflict caused me to have a miscarriage so to lie to ME about it is now more than I can take. He also wants (expects) me to be friends with his girlfriend---the woman he was seeing BEFORE we split up who was also married. What planet does he think that's going to happen on?!
The kids are grown now and, luckily, my daughter is starting to see her father in a more realistic light...through no fault of mine, just his.
Already warned him he's better not bring that woman around me or I will verbally rip her a new one!
