Words are words. There are plenty of words that might be deemed "offensive" that are okay in these grids. Wop, dago, homo, etc. It is how a word is used that becomes offensive, not it being allowed in a word game that is based on dictionary definitions.

Molly - I agree that there are "normal" type words that get used in negative fashions. I get that some words are always used in a negative slang way, but really, are deemed offensive for no real reason other than usage. But the words mentioned by me and others are truly slang and truly derogative only - no other meaning, and quite rude to be exact. And the definitions of them reflect that.
