Well, I am falling asleep at the keyboard. See you all tomorrow. *poofing with hugs*

bbl, off to do one of my daily jigsaws.
Oh, have fun! Do you use Jigidi? I love that site - check out my crazy puzzles if that's the one you use.
what's your user name, kam?
Kamanjah
If you want any smaller, let me know.
lolll, really?? i would never have guessed. i usually play between 100 and 200 pieces as i am on a laptop
OK, let me know, because I have a 24" monitor and like around 300 - 400
I have a crazy assortment of things, you'll laugh, I'm sure!
I too do a lot of jigsaws - I like "TheJigsawPuzzles" site - wish I had a square monitor though! mine is about 12 x 24 - rough guess
I'm on Jigidi, but don't post many puzzles. Rbud57 - found yours, Kamanjah, nifty stuff. I do the bigger ones at work with the bigger monitor there.
Thanks, Rbud, I'll look for yours. I haven't done any in a couple of months, have been doing other things. I miss the puzzles though.
Mine are mostly small, I don't like it when the pics distort when enlarged too big. Haven't looked for big pics much, I think yours must be big to start with?
I refuse to load distorted. I'm picky that way. If you do any of mine that come out distorted, please let me know. I haven't even done them all yet. You have some nice puzzles posted!
Yes, I do a lot of photography, and editing. If I can't get it to where it looks good on my monitor, I either post smaller, or don't post at all.
I also had a bad experience once when asking permission to post a copy of a work of art for an art appreciation thread. They wanted money if I used it, sigh... so I feel odd about copyrights.
I just list the copyright holder.
If I ask and they say no, I don't use it except for myself, then delete it once finished.
yep, I do, too, but the wording "I have permission..." always hangs me up, lol!!! :P I'm just weird, I know.
I never thought of just using them for myself, hmmm, good idea.
Doesn't it say "I have to give credit to.."? I don't remember offhand.
Yes, it says "I'm required to give credit to the artist" so I do so.
Maybe that's it, it didn't seem quite as sketchy to me last time. I just did a couple, you'd think I'd recall.
I sure don't get why people post so many puzzles with like 9 or 12 pieces. no fun in that.
rbud, the very small puzzles are posted for children to do.
ahhhhh, and here I thought it was just to get discussion going, some of those folks are pretty chatty under their puzzles. :)
Clues are up
thanks Lickety
and good to see you again!
oh, dear, I'm worse than I thought, just looked to the end and I have 66 screens of bookmarked puzzles I've not done, hahaha!
how does one un5 something?
I know I have a lot of bookmarked puzzles, I went through a few months ago and deleted a bunch.
Flosey, sometimes we wish we could, lol! I wondered about that one too!
lol, know that feeling Kam
aha, and suddenly!! FW and off to hit my pillow
goodnight all

Is anybody here? Poopy small grid for a Sunday!
Hi ruby!
hello, Bichon.
I found 48 words earlier, but this is a nasty little grid for me
Recently returned frm our Danube Cruise. It was wonderful
Was your weather OK as this has been a very strange spring?
We get a couple of seasonably warm days and then it goes back to 40's at night and rain
We had three sunny days, the rest were cool and cloudy.
And today the "bise" is blowing hard, taking the flowers off the fruit trees
This was a Jewish Heritage cruise
The worst weather here is when the piercing winds oime through the valley
What sort of boat?
It was a river cruise boat, not that big. Room for 180 passengers
Which cities and sites?
Warsaw, Prague? Budapest?
Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Melk, Passau, Prague. We visited two concentration camps and we had a Holocaust survivor on board who talked with us.
That must have been fascinating!
Where did your family come from?
50 words and I give up!
Good morning all.
On first view, this looks hard.
hey sukee -- it IS!
hey sukee -- it IS!
Hi une. I have turned to the list already :)
good plan! :-)
Hi all.
Hi medusa.
I missed some obvious words as usual.
hey medusa :-)
Hows everyone?
Cold :) Heat off in apartment and -1 :) Cheap management... :)
Warming hugs to you sukee
Should have gotten out my hot water bottle last night.
I have 2 of them. Love them things!
yikes, sukee!
Can't even have cats to cuddle up with, they are too playful still at night. I was spoiled with my last cat, he would cuddle all night.
Bless.
Oh well, 4 letter words down. 12 left. Breakfast time. Take care all
You too sukee. Wrap up and keep warm. xx
good morning all. help with top A pls
found 1 of them
Good morning, my friends. :)
Uh cross.. today is the 25th. Unless you canadians are on super-daylight savings time
Ty , I will make the correction in a bit.
today is Sunday the 24th.
Well I am closer than crossy😂
gotta run. I said I'd sing in the church choir this morning.
Hello kids.
Morning doc
Howdy,Scrabby :)
40 degrees here. I was quite cold running out to get my newspaper at the end of the driveway.
Dammit...can we add a zero onto the number of words for today?
Good morning all
Was minus 3C here this morning.
Hi Crossy!
Howdy, Car :)
Hi Car. Doing ok today?
so so
hi, folks
Hi welki
Howdy, Welki :)
Welki, people were enjoying fishing at the nearby pond that was just stocked with trout.
Fish lives matter!!!
interesting when people converge on a pond early in the season - you get to witness their true colors.
I know, Ruru. I saw 2 dead fish floating yesterday. Caught, unhooked, tossed back, but killed. It made me sad.
i wish people would learn how to properly handle, catch and release fish
Yes. Our father taught us when we were kids, with a needlenose plier, how to be careful.
i help a lot of kids when i see them struggling - the adults, though - well, they're typically resistant when i ask if i can help, they 'know it all' (while they're standing on the dock trying to hold the fish down with their foot)
I enjoyed breakfast outside with my hubby while watching my bird feeder. It got a little chilly, so I decided to come Babble
i de-barb all our hooks - makes catching them a little harder, but release so much easier
<--- catch & release family
I love doing that too, Car. I have many bird feeders in front and back.
Except the rare occasions we ocean fish and catch something we can eat
I am so amazed by the colors birds come it!
*in!
Yay, welki and Car.
i can see our bird feeders from here, too - lots of redwing blackbirds, sparrows, woodpeckers today
Among the mix, I had a single male cardinal...angel watching over me!
I love seeing a male cardinal. I believe it is my father visiting me.
Love that!
i miss cardinals, we don't have many really colorful birds. but we do have northern flickers, western meadowlarks, bluebirds, hummingbirds and a few other bright ones
I have never seen a bluebird in the wild. I would really love to. Goldfinches are also some of my faves...the way they flit around together.
And even blue jays...what amazing color they have
The iridescent-like feathers on the tails of the cowbirds...
Birds just fascinate me...always have. Thus, I always wanted a bird...and now I have the parrot from hell.
we see a lot of magpies, too - they've got personality :)
cool!
And there is nothing like the mourning dove call
(i used to have parrots, too - a grey and an amazon)
makes me feel all is well
I have an African gray
*grey
a congo?
No.
AFrican Grey Parrot
yeah - there are two kinds, congo and timneh
We are going to change her name to "Meg", so we can just say "Shut Up, Meg" like on Family Guy! Add some bit of humor to the situation.
I did not know that...I will check...please hold...
I have lots of purple finches, rose-breasted grosbeaks, many types of woodpeckers, including pileated ones, tufted titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, goldfinches, doves, etc.
She is a Congo. I learned something new today! TY welki
i made a new mix for the feeders on friday - turning the birds into spoiled brats :)
Nice.
What is in it, welki?
mine were congos, too (nelson and mozart)
Very colorful mix, Scrabs
What is your secret feed welki?
phantom: kayak
I just use blackoil sunflower seeds and suet cakes and it is a party here. Then the squirrels and chipmunks are groundfeeders, although the squirrels jump on some of the feeders.
black oil whole sunflower seeds, shelled sunflower seeds, peanuts, niger seed, millet, cranberry pieces and raisins. i tried goldenberry pieces, but they're too sticky (and i put suet out, too)
Oh, I also get dark-eyed juncos and some type of sparrows that are all groundfeeders.
I love your icon, Welki
Wow, welki, bird come from miles away for the buffet at your house!
I tried to change my yesterday, but I'm not sure if it took or not
i've also hung the hummingbird feeder, since they'll be back in a week or two and i want them to see it on their first 'fly-by'
Nice
Our hummingbirds arrive the first week of May so I should get ready too, and the orioles too.
looks like a little thor with wings
OK...you can see it then. Perfect
<---totally forgot about this miserable grid
and thanks for the compliment :)
I have managed NBT / NBS...that may be my biggest accomplishment with this one.
this grid is a lulu
Hi Annie
hi car. :)
I loved the bird conversation..makes me want to get another bird feeder. Here we have gulls, pigeons and crows. Not very colorful and the crows are not very polite. We did have a finch family but the crows and pigeons crowded them out and would not let them feed. I had to go out and supervise. Might try again.
wellki would know the bird population in Brooklyn
i Aq
Just read this Annie:
Selective feeding is another way to control the kinds of birds that eat at your feeders. Generally, bully birds do not like safflower or nyjer (thistle) seeds. By offering just those seeds—and not wild bird seed mixes—only finches, chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals and grosbeaks will come to the feeders to dine
ignore that, please
you're pretty high up, too, annie - you have a balcony?
yes, welki I do
Good morning Annie and Bobby.
car. just wrote down the names of the birdseed you recommend. Thanks.
Hi Scrabbs
Car, I am impressed that you have NBT and NBS.
That is from the National Wildlife Federation...there are many other ideas there. www.nwf.org
What can I help you with, ma'am?
Haha, I have 15 zeros to deal with.
Pick one...let me know
thanks, car. will look into that site
Mostly I need to focus and execute.
Article cited is "10 Ways to Deal with Bully Birds"
thanks, car.
:)
be back later
This grid is perfect for a Hawaiian
I was immediately turned off by the C's, U's, the V, and the K.

It is no fun, Ishult, so I am here for the conversation.
Unfortunately, I should get my transcribing done. Sigh.
I know I won't want to do it later.
Alright, I have no V or K or U words. Clues please?

ru, that was my uncle's favorite song :-)

I'm with Une's uncle, I adored Mack the Truck too
:-)
i liked Moon River back in the day . . . and "Misty" :-)
had sheet music for both :-)
ugh
always associated Moon River with Breakfast at Tiffany's
I'd rather gouge my eyes out than listen to that song again
ears, ru, ears! You need eyes for babbling.
well, yeah, tired of it now :-)
true jw
I think My Father played it a lot to drive me batty
I agree on the song, though, ru - it's annoying. whiny.

nice one, judi
Ha ha, Ru! Freudian slip!
No, not Beyond The Sea. I was referring to Mack The Knife
Anything by Bobby is ok in my book.
Beyond The Sea is kind of schmoopy, like Moon River.
I've really learned what a great singer Sinatra was in the last decade
yeah, slow dancing to Mack the Knife is sexy
I always figured Judi for a Paul Anka kind of girl :D
anything by Johnny Mathis back in the day :-)
re Sinatra, ru, me too
my ex LOVED Johnny Mathis
I agree Ru. I figure "Having My Baby" was one of Judi's favorites.

:D
*Puts Pleasantville on the DVD player
oh .. sorry .. I should have put a semi Colon on that comment
I love that movie Molly
Just for show.
I thought it was a very clever idea for a story.
I loved Don Knots (sp>?) in it
I love the scene where Mom plops down the mega breakfast in front of Mary Sue.
2 t's?
I think Joan Allen was fantastic in that movie
And of course the scene where Mom "discovers herself" and sets a tree on fire is classic.
She's awesome.
Fireworks, dammit!
I like William Macy in just about everything
oaky is not a word? How will we describe chardoonnay?

Question about wine?
is that a question for me TO?
guess not
We will never know. The Coties will du on the Rhone indefinitely.
Ru, PT Barnum would like your icon. There really is one born every minute. And two to take them.
Although the nit pickers say Barnum never said it. : D

It does. Some people fall for anything.

Did not know it was against the law.I know a lot of people who do that. I just used that sentence to give you a clue.
I know Min
Good Afternoon Everyone. I didn't have time yesterday to finish the grid; now that I have the time; it's a small grid.
Min, it is a hard law to enforce and a lot of people do that because they want to bury their pet close to them.
We've buried 2 dogs & 2 cats in our back yard over the past 24 years. I don't know why they say you can't bury pets in your yard unless it's because people don't bury them deep enough?
Animals, and people, used to be buried directly in the ground all the time.
hello babblers
clue for cl 6/24 please
Dogs, cats, hamsters, budgies, even (God help us) a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig all interred in the grounds of Chez Soodle. Each with a small cross made out of lollypop sticks.
Hi Soodle at Soodle Semetary
Lol Annie.... Each interrmemt had a ceremony accompanying it. My favourite bittersweet memory was Sarah intoning ' Ashes to Ashes, Dusters to Dusters'....
Yes, we have had a few burials too
Without fail - every single time a pet had died here, I SWEAR no more pets..... Huh!
I would like to inter this grid
'Here lies the grid of 04/24/16.' â˜
lol
Annie, cl6/24...start with the first 4 of the draped garment and end with the first 2 of not dog
Just got back from going to the store and I see people are STILL talking about burying pets. I never thought that my clue would spark so much convo. Anyway, my backyard is not a pet cemetary yet, thank goodness.
Min, you never know what will spark conversation here. : D
And as I was reminded by a funeral director, there is no A in cemetery.
thanks, Molly, that does it for me
Well done Annie. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Thanks, going to watch some baseball..bye babblers
