I can't go away as we have a dog and a budgie to look after, plus I haven't saved enough for a really nice holiday yet. Diane has never actually been on holiday in her entire life and I want it to be the most magical experience I can give her when we do in a couple years' time. I have many seedlings growing this year - from flowers to veggies - even planted some on yesterday in the ground. Strange thing is we are having very unusual weather here at the moment - one minute it's a mini-heatwave, the next minute it's frosty at night and they're even talking about snow tonight! Still, I'm glad you're having a summer lol. As for drinking me and bros under the table, I don't doubt that for a minute hee hee

well done you, worzel. with the garden i mean... well with everything to be truthful. can you cover the seedlings? even sheets of newspaper will elp to protect them.
i am actually starting to get out in the garden again. after a few abortive attempts of only 10 minutes, i went out for 40 minutes the other day. yes i know, it's not like the full day i used to put in, but every little bit helps, right?
We have a mini greenhouse. It's made of metal rods and covered by a plastic sheet. It's quite amazing, actually, how much warmth it harbours and stores. The ones that have been planted in the garden have been hardened off already so they're probably going to be fine (it's tomatoes and peppers and they look really healthy) Also I have started cutting back on food and am taking a supplement called raspberry ketones which are supposed to suppress your appetite and boost your metabolism. I don't know about the boosting, but it's certainly suppressing my appetite. I've actually lost 6 pounds in the last month!
And I'm so glad you're able to get out in the garden - even if it is only for short bursts - it'll take time, but you'll get there - you're a strong woman mum!!

One of my favorite ski trips was a week in Zermatt, took the Glacier Express across Switzerland into Austria and a week in St. Anton.
Two of mu Neighbors, both experienced skiers, were terribly injured one winter and I immediately gave away my ski gear
I have never skied but I have saw on tv and online somewhere that people in wheelchairs do ski
I think thtat's the train we took from St. Anton and drove the car onto the train
As I got off the train in St. Anton, I was met by a brass band --- not for me, the King of Sweden apparently goes there every year

Maybe the band was playing for you! We used to stay in Lech, but ski in St. Anton.
One of the reasons we moved to this part of France ws its proximity to the rest of Europe

it is not easy to find one, but there are several areas in town that do offer it - we have a basement but I do not use anything in the basement - all the living space is on the one floor - it is smaller than our former house but it has two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, dining room and kitchen on the main floor. There is a two-room apartment in the basement besides the unfinished half for the basement. We are still on a slight hill - front door and basement door both are at ground level
most houses in new subdivisions (like where my younger son lives) do have steps

well.. ondine is a decent producer.. the wine you mentioned comes from the Ventoux area. It is mostly Grenache. I like the Ondine Vacqueyras a lot.. probably costs a little more
if I remember correctly.. their Cotes du Rhone is 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. I love the grape Grenache.. it's easy to enjoy. The pricing seems fair for that wine. It'd be worth a try. I'd have it with lighter foods though or pastas
