I see sparrows, hawks, robins, blue jays and Canada geese every day.
The only jay we have is a geaie which is multi-colored and large

I got a great photograph of some baby geese a few years ago. Mom let me sit right down next to them to take the picture.
There used to be a nest of red tails on the deck and one year I watched the mother push the babies off the railing, teaching them to fly. And the father used to scold me if I went outside; he was small but vociferous
I had the same experience with crows, Ruby. Watching the Mom push them out of the nest. It was so amazing to get to see that.

during a big windy storm this past winter, an old oak tree in my yard split, and half of it is now driven into the ground below itself, making quite a challenging situation in the yard. Valentine called a tree service to come and take a look - $1200!!!! so that's not happening. maybe god will have mercy on me today and blow it the rest of the way down?
