Sweet sleep, Peri.
Goodmorning! ((zzoozz))
((Ruby)) How are you?
Why don't they give us big grids on the weekends?
I know right!
At the moments, I have an appraiser here to set a value on the antiquees, simply to satsify the US lawyer.
Did you enjoy Le tour de France?
Wht a waste of time and money!!!
Would not like someone round my place valuing my things. Hope they are not there long, Ruby.
The Tour was less interesting because my "horse" in the race was Valverde, who didn't have a chance. But the scenery was magnifique!!
My dog is having a lot of trouble with this, protcting me. He takes his job VERY sriously
Good that might make them hurry up a bit then lol
How are you, zooz, enjoying this wonderful weathr?
I am well thank you, Ruby. The weather here is not what it was a week ago but still pleasant at the moment. Would like it atad warmer but still around 19-21c
Now if it was 27-35c I would be happy :-)
Here, it's perfect. A little bit hotin the afternoons, but coolenough at night. I keep the house wide open.
Is that safe to do that where you are. Could not do that here.
Believe it or not, the garden could use some rain. But I have all the ripe figs I can eat and/or give away.
I think my largee dogs make me less of a target.
Well at least you will be going regular then LOL with all those figs.
They sleep most of the day but appear to be en garde all night. I'm not worriednabout that, just about everything else LOL
The figs don't do that, malheureusement; I think I probably take too much morphine
nose
wow that is a long word just to say sadly LOL
sorry, too engrossed
hahah
I've begun thinkingin French and have to translate on the rare occasions when I'm with an anglophone
Well you have live in France a long time, Ruby, so I am not surprised.
I was with my father the other day in a supermarket and a tin of peas had no price on them so i asked a shop assistant who was near by how much they were. He had such a strong scottish accent that I just could not understand what he was saying. I kept say pardon and he was getting annoyed with me. i was rather embarrassed by it all in the end. I mean Scotland is part of the UK and I felt bad that I could not understand him.
We got there in the end though :-)
Iknow exactly what you mean. When I was still in the US, I had clients in the South with whomI could have used an interpreter!
It varies here. Mostpeople understand me, but now and then, somebody with a prejudice against Americans, will blatantly refuse to. Fortunatytely, that happenns rarely and since virtually no one speaks English here ( except skiers and friends fromthe UK and Ireland), the French appreciate my efforts, accented as they are
I always have had a huge respect for people who can speak more than their native tongue. I have given french, dutch and german a go but I am no good at it.
I bet your french is better than you think it is, Ruby!
I had a lot of French in school, but never really spoke it untilI startted coming to France in my 20''s, then it became a necessity because I was with my baby son.
Ys i think the best way to learn a language is to live in that country. It kind of forces you to learn it rather quicker than you would in a class in your own country.
So sorry for the typos.
I don't translate when I speak, but I think I probably have a bad accent because my first Fr teacher, when I was 11, was fromthe Bronx. My English is without accent, but that took a year of corrective speech toget the New York out of itt.
Almost everyone understands me herte and they are very sweet about it.
(sorry for the typos)
Well like you said, Ruby, they appreciate that you try and plus you have chosen to live there too!
Have don't worry about your typos, Ruby.
And none of my French friends speaks English.
Sorry to leave you, Ruby. But I need t go and sort parents meal out for lunch time. It was very nice to see you though ((Ruby))
That must be hard at times, Ruby. But you seem to get on well despite no one there speaks your native tongue.
Bye for now.
It was a pleasure, ((zzoozz))!!
Good morning if anyone is still around.
good morning sukee!

Hello kids.
Hi Scrabs...just here for a minute
Hi Car!
how are the boys?
I am not here for long either. The boys are watching Peppa Pig but not for long.
Peppa!
I love this show--cute, funny, short, and harmless.
Yup. Pocoyo is also great!
Heading out for yet another funeral service this morning :(
HAGD, hope to catch up later! :)
Bye Car.
hello all
hi TO! tx lickety & all cluers, that's FW
Hi Owl and Dan. Good job, Dan.
how are the boys doing?
Saturday greetings, y'all!
*wonders how Scrabbler still has time to Babble*
hi judi
morning, everyone
*waves to the masses*
hi welk
My sister is here and we are watching some TV, but I am constantly distracted.
I miss my Babble buddies so I really wanted to try to do this.
you've probably already learned how precious a private moment in the bathroom is
Courage, Scrabbler. Your karma rating is now off the charts.
and how goes the practical vs. the theoretical?
We are watching a documentary on thunderstorms because Jax loves them.
I would not try this if I were the only adult. The only time I can be on the computer is at work.
how about naptime? bedtime?
After they fall asleep I make their lunches and snacks for day care, shower, then go to bed. I am exhausted.
i am sure you are.
but it seems god had a plan for you.
The boys are very happy here and get love, discipline, and a daily routine. Their day care center is excellent and Jax's speech has improved dramatically in the last 2 weeks while being with peers.
that is wonderful news
Excellent!
i think you will find shortcuts and new ways as you go on
Now, will their parents grow up, become mature and responsible as parents??
and of course, they will grow and change and everything will evolve
let's hope so.
I am calm and consistent with discipline whereas the parents are impatient yellers.
not surprised that the boys are thriving in your care, scrabb - too bad the parents don't have an aunt they can go live with to learn how to be adults
How are the bunnies getting along with the boys?
Fireworks, by the way. The grid's a bit of a yawner today.
Poor Remy, the free-range bunny, runs away from the boys.
Congrats,Judi.
wish i could yawn my way to the last 9
Hmm. Not surprising. Lots of extra noise in the house. Not something the buns are used to.
have you had to evict any of them to give the boys their rooms?
Off to breakfast. Y'all have a great weekend!
lol just heard a teaser on the news about a mother hypnotizing her kids.
stats for the 7 other than the en7 pls?
No. I had an extra room next to mine and put the crib and twin bed in there.
I need to learn that skill,Owl.
that is helpful. and the boys are probably used to sleeping in the same room. they are happy, you are doing a good job
lol i will send you the link!

scrabs still here?
Yes,I just returned.
hi there
I was doing a bit of cleaning.
How are you and Dylan? Did you get a 2nd dog?
we're fine.. Dylan has been doing much better. No second dog yet.. still construction going on over here.. and yard landscaping to be done
we have setbacks still.. but they're minor compared to what I was dealing with before.
Bad allergy issues, just like we see in kids.
yes.. he is on allergy shots now.. we're hoping in six months they will start to knock that back
We see some kids with just horrendous eczema and it is as though they are allergic to everything in the environment and every food.
we discovered what Dylan was allergic to.. mostly grasses and molds.. and a few other weird stuff.
so from reading your posts.. the boys have the bedroom next to yours?
have the parents seen them? Or are they not allowed to right now? I'm just curious
Yes, perpendicular to mine, at end of the hallway.
good.. you can hear what they're up to :D
Their mother has seen them twice weekly, under my supervision, but visits with their father,my nephew, have not yet been arranged. Those visits will be at a social services agency and also supervised but not by me due to the order of protection.
your nephew sounds like a winner... jeezus
I am very disappointed in who he is at this time, at age 28. But I remind myself that we are all works in progress and he has the choice to mature and to become respectful and responsible. He does not have to be his father but so far he is even worse.
yep.. coming from an abusive home.. I completely understand that
sometimes those "lessons" from the father go very deep. I am sure that's why I never had kids to repeat the process
Me too. But my middle and youngest nephews are so different. They have all suffered and experienced abuse, but have responded to it in different ways.
Neglect and apathy towards the kids are deep scars. This I know
Me too. We have multigenerational issues here. Some of us are resilient, others are not.
so true..
your other sibling's kids have had issues too?
wow
I knew to not have kids as did another sister. The one sister that should never have had kids have 3. My brother still lives with my mother, never learned to drive, doesn't work...hermit...
* has
your brother is the father of these boys?
No, my nephew.
oh.. from the sister that should have never had kids?
I must run to the post office to pick up a package. Take care, ruru. We are survivors.
Yes, that sister should never have been a parent.
ok.. thanks.. i'm sorry I'm not trying to pry.. but this is really interesting to me
I think lots of us have had messed up childhoods
I was brought up by grandparents. But my gran from as early as i can remember turned me against my mum, telling me she'd never wanted me.
It wasn't until she started doing this with my daughter that I realised what had happened all those years earlier.
I think parents should have to take tests by professionals to become parents. the world would have less people and better people
top row grayed!
... impressive ...
indeed
... if only I could get the bottom row to turn grey
I'll work on that one next
... get the second row ... it's easier
2nd row done!
I think it is very important to let go of the emotional baggage of your past so you can enjoy the gift of your present life. So many people drag the baggage of their past around with them far too long.
... too true
that's true molly.. but sometimes the past has a weird way of popping up at inopportune times
I think it depends on the past - some things have done damage at a level that is much harder "to let go of" at both a conscious and definitely the unconscious state. That is easier said than done for many
I believe that is the process of what Carline Myss calls "living in your wounds" instead of living in a healing place.
that's kind of true for me KJE.. it's the unconscious stuff that gets to me
you can believe that, but platitudes are not backed uop by teh research with thiese groups that show that what happens at young ages can impact future lives in ways we can't even completely measure
I disagree. There are people who have lived horrible pasts (incest, Auschwitz survivors, etc) who have decided to let go of that horror and live in the present moment. And they are not "platitudes" thanks. I have done plenty of research on this subject myself.
and that is wonderful for them, but that is not the case for everyone... and that does not mean others are somehow hanging onto baggage or not choosing hard enough to let go
there are people who do hang on to baggage.. like my brother.. they never dig themselves out. I chose not to live damaged.. and tried to move on.. but once in a while.. weird stuff comes up..it's like a bad dream or something
... 9 left but they won't come without a list so time for lunch and the ball game and if it doesn't rain the lawnmower ... ... ... luck to all
And I never said that "others are somehow hanging onto baggage or not choosing hard enough to let go." I suggested that letting go was a more healthy option than living your entire life as a VICTIM.
enjoy, dosef!
all American day for dose
sure Molly.. that's the best option.. but I think that takes a person of great strength and resolve
while.. some people like to sit on the pity pot a lot .. and get nowhere
Everyone has a choice. They can choose to continue living in wounds of the past, or choose to heal and move forward. I think many people have found a comfort zone in being a victim. Just my opinion. No one is required to agree with it or think it is right.
Wow, I stopped by looking for clues in the chog and instead had very interesting rrading!
I disagree with the language, Ru... it is a blame the victim language that says only someone with great strength, etc... I understand that is the language that has been used for years, but it is also language that mental health professionals have bene trying hard to change - but it is so ingrained. So one soldier comes home with PTSD and recovers to a normal life, and another does not fair so well and is still fighting demons homeless on the street years later.... it isn't that easy
I feel like a nosy person, but getting glimpes of others' lives and attitudes is fascinating.
That I don't know much about the PTSD.. that's for sure.. I was just relating to my situation growing up
I had wonderful parents and a lovely, hard-working childhood, but still had issues to resolves with a therapist. Fortunately, all the good stuff prepared me for the difficult parts now.
No one, especially not mental health professionals is trying to "blame the victim". The discussion in the mental health field has been about whether or not someone continues to identify as a victim.
<I've had friends who had been abused as children who continued, in their adult lives, to fall into abusive relationships, over and over.

AHA! Thanks, cy!

Congrats!
any other clues wanted before I leave?
I wish the Canadians would stop being concerned about Presidential candidates that have nothing to do with their country.
Molly - they have a great influence on our country ... when you sleep next to an elephant and all that
everything your government does influences our country and let's be honest -- Trump is a threat to the entire world
Honestly, I have not seen anything that affects Canada from a US President in years.
then you certainly don't understand our economics
or world politics for that matter
I understand both of those things very well.
Funny how no one was worried about our current President.
then you should understand why Canadians in particular as well as the rest of this world are following this election.
Because Obama is sensible and tried to do a lot of good for your country in spite of the Republican's despicable behaviour in congress
Oh my, that line of thinking will continue until Obama retires on a golf course somewhere, as the most ineffective President of these United States. WAH!!! It was all the Republican's fault!!!!
yes it was --- the die hard old boys club
on my way - hagd everyone
Molly, sometimes I wonder if you really don't understand certain things you make statements about, or if you are just pot-stirring for fun. With the first one I think, 'okay, she just hasn't informed herself, and given the tone of her statement, I am not sure she wants to' .... with the second one I think, 'okay...I'm not going to play.' In either case, as a Babbler who celebrates the daily kindness and support of our oneline community, sometimes, like today, it's hard for me not to respond.
I sincerely hope I'm not being too harsh. I do enjoy your company here, but feel the need to speak up.
Ch, I understand a lot of things. And I am very informed about the politics of my country. I state an opinion here when there is an actual adult conversation (not weather or kitties). Interesting how you say you "celebrate daily kindness" after your last post.
I know what you mean, Molly, and I did think hard about that last sentence before including it.
No problem. I get that you are a "friend of Crosshair" and feel the need to make disparaging comments about me whenever possible. I really don't care about that.
i am a canadian who thinks you are grossly uninformed about world affairs Molly
help with sa6 pls
I have not listed so I do not know if it is an sa word
help with a 6 letter word that starts with S pls
Listen you guys. This whole subject is very complicated. The problem here in America is that we are very frustrated with our politicians. They just don't feel they ever get anything done. Republicans or Democrats. I am sorry, Molly, though I am not afraid of Trump being President and I don't think he will be a disaster for many reasons I also don't think that you can say that Obama has not gotten anything done. He has done allot. And I do agree with you it is not all the Republicans fault. It takes two to tango.
Peri, there is a si6/30 word
peri, there is no s6 at all. They are all s4 and s5 :)
ty Glant, I will look
I should have said 'we don't feel'
there is a sa 7
it is the past tense of si5
Oh! My bad.
Something you sift flour with and past
si5/16
sa7, si6, so6
marc, thats why my only comment was about being uninformed about world affairs...im not saying who to vote for tho I do have an opinion about that too
ah, don't have the so6 yet, one of muy last 4
it was the so6 that I was missing and I found it. fw
well done Peri
Please let it go. I am totally fed up with politics.
touche jaxx :)
it's just scary
let me know if you need a clue, glantarell
But you can just say the Molly is uninformed. It is not a fair statement. There is way too many connections in the world and the world arena is way too complicated. None of us are completely informed. But unfortunately, we can't vote on what our politicians will do for Canada. That is not our job. We need to focus on what they will get done for America and hope for the best on the international arena.
I'd even prefer ' kitties' to politics
That should have been 'can't say' sorry again
ahh...but to deny that the US has no effect on Canada is to be grossly uninformed...we are each others largest trading partners, we share the largest unprotected border in the world...
Could I get another clue for do6, please? I did not get the last clue given.
Please........
d + all in one garment currently fashionable
I don't think Molly is really denying that. But unfortunately, it is just not that important to us. But really I don't think you should be worried about Trump.
Fireworks for me... any clues before I go? Oh, okay ... nickname for Trump, + oh say can you *** with middle vowel changed to a different vowel
yes please - a clue for te5/10 - the second one - probably staring me in the face
I only know of that garment for babies. It it fashionable?
I think it means muscle, glan..
This is for big babies!
Sorry giant can't understand that clue either? Just a little slow today I guess.
apparently, it has been a *thing* in the UK for adults for a year or two now
okay, it means joint
of course im worried...the man is a cheeto coloured, quick tempered immature egomaniac...and that is kind
TY ch1212 - it is a kind of saw, but your clue got me there
:)
Is it those shirts that snap atthe crotch that were big during disco???
do6 - d + an all in one garment, mainly worn by babies
*** poof ***
The thing in the UK is like an adult sized babygro with a zip uo front. People look ridiculous in them - they even wear them to the supermarket....
onesie doesn't work
lose a vowel marc
thanks finally
Hilarious. I am "grossly uninformed" about the political climate of my country, but Canadians are "in the know". I get great laughs from this chat.
Molly, there are a lot of Canadians who are in the know about our politics; and our citizens are very divided & may just see the one side of US politics that they favor.
There is no better way to explain the contrast in how the Rep & Dem conventions presented such completely opposite views of our country; especially looking at employment & crime rates
Thank you Marc for your comments. It never ceases to amaze me that people in other countries consider themselves experts on the American political scenario.
yes Molly, people outside your Country take an active interest..I have studied US politics extensively as it relates to Canada..so yes...I am an expert..but thanks for the insult
No insult intended. I'm just wondering how US politics relates to Canada. Other than NAFTA, which is largely ignored, and border crossing issues. I just don't see how US politics affects Canadians.
Well, I see not much has changed since my computer 's been down.
But then, as previously state, I am "grossly misinformed"
NAFTA, Keystone Pipeline, NATO, TPP, the Middle East, The United Nations; all of these are things that affect Canadians.
Hi Nef
Hi hero; how are you today?
got a cold. How are you and DH?
Doing better with the lower temperatures; hot & muggy isn't our type of weather these days.
Glad to hear better. :)
Love the way auto correct has made me a hero.
Boy! I keep forgetting to pl & pt words today! Oops! Sorry about the hero;but maybe that's what you are in real life! ;-)
Yes Nef. All of those things affect Canadian citizens. And yet the Canadian government does nothing about them. No wonder Canadian citizens are so interested in American politics.
lol, ty!!
Nef, all nurses are heros in a small quiet way.
The Canadian government does more than you think, Molly. But because we, in the US, are so well-covered by our media 24/7, we kind of develop a narcissistic view of the world & really believe that we *are* the center of the world.
oh my ...i was wrong about you being grossly uninfomed..i am changing my opinion to ignorant of anything being your border...and actually im not sure you are even aware of what is transpiring within your borders.
Nef, you are right, we are egocentric.
Hi India Jan...*Strikes up a chorus of OH CANADA
I used to live just south the Canadian border & listened to CBC from Winnipeg & Calgary (they often came in clearer than anything for the big cities here in the US) & I was amazed by their news in comparison our "local" stations back then.
I have always been impressed in my travels by how well informed people in other countries are. If you want a perfect example watch BBC news sometime.
I find it very sad that American citizens find their country egocentric. But then I find the voting habits of American citizens pretty sad as well. No wonder other countries think we are fools.
egocentric was the word I was looking for; that fits better than narcissistinc
I watch & listen BBC news a lot; I prefer BBC & MPR for radio stations both in the car & our home than other "talk radio"
Not a celebrity antic in sight.
molly, im not rising to the bait..as you seem rather mean-spirited.
And, DH just spilled Orange flavored water all over the grey carpeting here in the family room. I have to do some stains removal NOW! (he fell asleep holding his extra large drink mug)
Nef- thats why I love my wooden flooring & leather furniture! A damp cloth/mop & hey presto - crisis averted. I just wish I had them when the kiddies were small. Manys a spill I scrubbed in my day :-)
How is it "mean-spirited" (I love that, used all over the internet when people are pissed off) to state my opinion about something? Like my opinion or don't like it, but get a grip and quit acting like I'm attacking you when I'm not.
Note to self:- Don't just read the last post before posting a banality. Beware of ongoing hostilities....
passive agressive posts intended to bait me. this started when I pointed out that you seem uninformed about the world outside your borders...this is a fact. there is no shame in that. The shame is thinkng you know all..when you dont..and to insult those who may be more informed. if you i called you mean spirited because i am loathe to use the word I actually thought...
Soodle - i love my wood floors as well..no more carpet..ever
I love the over use of passive-aggressive too. India, if you want to engage in an adult conversation about politics, grow up. Try stating your opinion without slamming someone who doesn't agree with you.
lol
how about twat? i bet you find that over used as well
Hi again. I thank Goodness for Resolve carpet cleaner! It has to absorb the spill (for a while now that I've brushed it in) then I can vacuum. Soodle, all of the rest of the house has oak floors which we've just had refinished; but the family room has carpeting because kids sit on the floor & also there is ugly plywood as a base floor here (1970's addition)
Yay for Resolve Carpet cleaner!! Interestingly, there's a product on the market in this part of the world called 'resolve', but it's marketed ad
No, twat is only over used by you and your friend Carlee.
as a hangover cure!!!! Go figure!!
Really Soodle? That's hilarious!
True that!!!
True that!!!
Sorry for double post .... To be sure, to be sure!!
Sorry kids, I will bow out now. Back to happy, happy, fun chat.
I'd rather have a double post rather than some of the comments I've seen on here tonight lol
agreed, Worzel!
Would somebody kindly help me with the de6 please?
de6 21
20 words left & they are difficult to find today; lots of words that I should see easily but they sure hid a lot!
Have you got de & what boyscouts sleep in?
I have now!! Thanks Soodle lol x
Thanks Soodle .
i have 23 left..they are a struggle
Tucking in here behind the sofa. X
i apologize folks, i let her bait eevm tho I knew better than to engage
You know what? I come on Babble to chill out & relax. I actually like the happy happy fun chat. I don't mind talk of kittens, unicorns, & girls with white dresses with blue satin sashes.... My 'real' life is pretty difficult right now & I appreciate a distraction.
I was ready to come in dancing and waving popm poms :D
yeah, i really am sorry..this is the first time I have gone off like that...
It's okay, IndiaJan. I don't know if she ever understands how she may sound sometimes. And I agree with Soodle; I come here to relax & have fun.
do6/21 pls?
me too
d and what teenagers and young adults wear...the all in one thing that sometimes look like animals
ty lil x
Lilli gave a good clue, except drop a middle vowel
Yw Worzel :)
As they say, religion and politics in a forum can be fraught ..best to avoid if possible, albeit hard at times . And in the words of Scarlet O'Hara "tomorrow is another day " z
I'm spelling it the English way Nef :)
(I'm happy that *I* haven't seen one of those adults clothing items yet! Being in "fly-over country may have some advantages I guess!) :-)
I was always taught by parents to never discuss religion or politics with people you don't know as it causes arguments...
My bairn had a couple but she didn't wear them out in public, thank god but she wore them as dressing gowns basically
Very true, lilli. I was never *taught* that; but learned along the way that some topics are dynamite (especially online!)
for sure
Mom of Soodle, aged 84, inveterate smoker for the last 70 years underwent hip replacement surgery yesterday. Defied all odds by actually surviving the operation, but not in good place now..
Nef, just for the record, I am not an idiot and I understand how I "sound".
it wasnt the politics that set me off tho.. :)
im sorry soodle..my mom had hip replacement at 85...was very rough on her too
Aw, Soodle, i hope all goes with your mam.Hugs to you.My nan had a hip replacement last year after a fall and she's in her late 90's.She has alzheimers now bless her but still going strong even though we've been told numerous times she's on her way out!
Molly, I was NOT calling you an idiot; and I meant that you may not have intended it; but you did come across as being rather rude. (saying things that may be hurtful to someone who isn't in the US like Canadian government doesn't do anything)
Actually, Molly, I'm not sure that you really DO know how you sound...
I quite like hearing about cats and dogs. My cat is part of my family!!
You can come across as quite condescending Molly.
i have a yorkie-poo...i could tell stories all day
Oh, I was rude. I did not call India "mean spirited". I did not call her "grossly misinformed". I just said what I had to say. And YES Soodle, I am very well aware of how I sound. It's just not acceptable here because people don't like a controversial chat.
My lili, a few moments ago brought indoors a harvest mouse . She has been told so many times not to do this and does she listen no ! Managed to grab the poor little thing and take it to long grass away from the house .
Soodle, I'll pray for her. Geriatrics don't always do well with anesthesia; DH's Aunt came out of hip surgery & I got called to the recovery room because she'd grabbed her IV bag & was swinging it at the nurses! It took her 3 weeks to recover mentally from the temporary dementia from it! (And you should hear the stories she told while confused!!! 8-o
now now children . . . don't make me come in there and spank your bums and send you to bed with no supper!!!
recovery is a long haul sometimes at that age..but hopefulyy in a few days she will be painfree at least
I'll behave, worzel. Promise!
maybe I want a bum spanking
Pshaw!! My youngest girl is in America for the Summer. Every morning I video her wretched cat scrounging food & sent her a snapchat.
Lol @ India!!
Sunrise, mine doesn't normally bring back many presents, thank god as when she does they're dead! She's more into garden guarding at the moment and stopping other felines coming into her homeland :)
Soodle, did she break her hip or it just wore out & she needed it replaced?
LOL India :D
And Nef you ALWAYS behave!! lol
sa7 pls?
No, worzel, I don't "always" behave. :-/
where children play...
well make sure you do tonight cos I'm in a spanking frame of mind . . .
Lililan, rare for my Lili to do it .. The guarding thing is awful she thinks she owns the whole close, naughty but normal.
Ha Ha Ha!!! I love the way Babble goes from intense, to righteous indignation to bum spanking!!!
ty for the sa7
sa 7/32 is where kids play (combo word)
Nef ... Wear & tear....
mmm, i'm thinking the beach stuff and a pit , but no p for sa7
Lil, something for sale in an auction.
yea we call it pit over here in UK too. Think of an auction item - as in a *** number
she should physically heal faster then, Soodle. And I can vouch that hip surgery is much easier than knee replacement surgery no matter what age (I've had both....; but I'm a lot younger than your mum)
Sun, my neighbours saw a jump on another cat's back the other night as it was coming through our gate, and she's only a small cat.It surprised me as she is such a scaredy cat and runs and hides over silly little things.
Ty Suna nd Worzel
welcome
Lillian they are funny creatures :)
wow, I missed the dust-up but Ray Donovan is on. I'll be back......
They are Sun. going to go and put some bits in the oven as i've not eaten today.bbiam

Hi Babblers.
hi ori
Probably not the best time of night to be cooking prawn toast, an all butter pastry pork sausage roll and a mini cheese and tomato quiche but i got them on special last night it's not very often i eat alot of pastry but i am having veg...corn on the cob and i will have some cherries after :D
Hi Ori
Absolutely loving all the love!!!!! Can I help with anything else?
Lilli- that sounds better
Lilli- that sounds better
Lilli- that sounds better
Sorry Sodds, i didn't quite hear you the first time! :D
Sorry! That sounds better than unicorns & kittens. With you in spirit!
*soods even :)
second ve4 7 pls?
Lol
got it
I was going to clue ' let off steam', Worzel, but plenty of steam has been let off here today!!
Am having problems with lickety. Have done a bulk grab but it isn't adding the second ve, which I have got. Also I don't seem to be able to find the last word for fireworks. Apart from the second ve4, none of the other words need ticking, yet I have one word left to get (on the grid for fireworks) but I don't know what it is!!!!!
Adds to the spice of life!
That's happened to me before Worzel. I had to reenter every word into lickety to find the missing one.
FW'S!!
ori i did it via bulk grab and babble says im missing a t, but lickety says I have them all
I can't believe it took me so long to get the last 2x4 words and a 5.They were staring me right in the face!!
How many letters Worzel?
Congrats lil
Try Refreshing Worzel
Ty Ori
First world problems!!! Take pity on us poor tablet users who don't have Lickety!!
Goodnight everyone. Sleepy peacefully .xx
think ive got it sorted now. just need to find the word lol
Night Sun, sleep well and tc
Back again. I'm trying to clean the spot again, but it isn't very promising; I may have an orange spot right in front of his lift chair no matter what. :-/
yayyy bloody fws at last!!!! first time in two years!!!!
Sounds a bit weird, but 'Goodnight Sunrise'.
just tell everyone donald trump came by and shed a bit..lol
YAYworzel!! WTG!!! (& if it's been 2 years; leave the fwd on a while & enjoy them!
Woot Woot!! WTG! Getting the bunting out and doing a happy dance for Worzel! :D
Ha Ha Ha, India!!
IndiaJan; that's funny! But I doubt if anyone would believe me...
I once used Vanish (stain remover) on my hob (stove) by mistake. I'm still looking for it.
Part of that story is true.
What did it do matty?
The hob Matty?
Which part, Matty?
DUH!!! That's funny now that I realized it's a joke!
Ha Matty :-)
Hah. Actually, it worked really well, but was a pain to get all the foam off. But the joke was that the brand is called Vanish....so my hob...well...vanished?!
Duh!! lol Matty
I like vanish
This is the Babble I knew & loved!!!! 😄
It was spray stuff meant for carpet stains but it was the same colour bottle as the Cilit Bang (kitchen cleaner) so...well...
I did see the earlier chat, and as an American who has lived in the UK for 28 years I was tempted to pitch in. I resisted. It seemed the best 'way forward' as the young people say ;)
Lillann, try it on your hob sometime. If you don't mind loads of rinses, it works wonders.
Am off to stuff my face and watch 'the Spy'. Too much excitement for me here tonight!! :D Night all and tc
Night Hin! X
:)
Niters Lillian! TC!
Soods, i'm going to get on my scooter and do wheelies after to get rid of some calories.I hope the neighbours don't mind me go 'whee' up and down the road at about midnight!
LOL, lilli! Just be careful you don't tip!
Nef, i could have given Evil Kenevil a run for his money!! :D
Lili- you do that!! And be assured I'll be with you in spirit. (In spirit, I say, cos I don't want to be arrested!!)!
DH has had some spills with his scooter. Not good for either the scooter or him!
LOL Soodle.They won't know it's me as i'll wear a balaclava :)
I've met 2 Babblers to date. Top of my list of Babblers I want to meet next are Nef & Lil.
Sorry to hear that Nef.They can run away with you at times.Mine certainly does when the bairn sits on my lap and drives if i'm bad or my fingers are hurting, i get alot whiplash when she drives!
Definitely off now.Bye all and tc again
Ahh, Thanks Soods :) The bairn wants to go to Ireland as her dad is there alot, especially this year and wants him to take us and show us all the places he goes to, so hopefully we will meet at some point
Balaclava-wearing mooning gnome!!! Yeah, Lilli. Nobody will know you!!!!
Aww, thanks, Soodle! I'd love to meet you too.
If i drive it with my butt and draw some hair and a tash, they'll think i'm someone else :)
((((Nef))))
Lol!!! Lil... Come on over! We'll have a laugh!!!
Saying that, that'll be no good, i'm not good at going backwards.I'll just add a noisy smuggler(is that what you call one)? the noisy exhausts the boy racers have and no-one will know it's me they'll just think it's one of them :)
We would Soods.I'll try and get something
oops, as soon as i know what hubby is doing in the winter, we could arrange something.
(poof)
hello! Are there any da words?
nvm.
Please do, Lil. I'd sell my soul to meet ya!!! And - at least 2 Babblers can confirm I'm not a mad ax-murderer!
Good to know, Soodle. I'd hate to meet you if you were!
Lol Nef! This is the internet!!! You just NEVER know!
2 left without list... wonder if I can find them!
True; isn't stid the one who posted that at some point?
But at least Riverdance & Trifiso can confirm that I'm a person!!
i have met riverdance as well...she can vouch for me too!
Good!
I've met Stid. That was fun :-)
I've met UUSue & she's real too
I'm real. But no-one in the chog (but some non-chog babblers) have met me
where are you matty?
I live outside London in Wraysbury (London, England, not London Ontario)
And I've met RoundBarn; she's really real also.
not a lot of babblers from England?
There are a few - often on earlier though, as we're at least 5 hours ahead of North America.
Plus a few from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the like.
then you guys need to plan a party :)
T'would be nice - though some of the distances (especially with British motorways) can be non-trivial (I know it doesn't seem it but it's a different world here ;) )
I used to write on a few review websites (Dooyoo, Ciao and the ilk) and we did do a few meet ups with those folk. I even wrote a review of THIS site ;)
As did another Babbler, whom I got into Babble and into Ciao - though she doesn't chog here. Plays every day though, and finishes every day
fw. no list but used morewords for those last two,,
well its definitely smaller and closer than here..but i can appreciate the traffic issues.
yahoo m9
Well, yes! Many Americans (bearing in mind I am a displaced American - grew up in NY) forget that Canada is geographically bigger than the US
with a way smaller population...
Yeah - you have got those crazy cold bits, though ;) I went to Expo 86 in Vancouver and met loads from the further north places, away from the US. Slightly scary, in that some actually had an accent like Bob and Doug McKenzie's (complete with the 'ay' at the end of sentences). I thought that was a myth like thinking all Irish say 'beggorah'
hahaha
i know whatcha mean eh
But do you go 'out and aboot'?
well I don't but my neighbour does
My dad said that I sound like an American trying to put on an English accent...badly. I've been here so long I now have wandering accent syndrome
(sorry, had a phone call from a friend who just got back from Alaska). I lived about 180 miles from Winnipeg, & I heard lots of eh?'s at the ends of sentences (& we even would pick that up ourselves at times); but I never heard "out & about" until I met a friend from Montreal
i know what you mean..i lived long enough in northern quebec that i picked up a french accent..
But then again, most Minnesotans don't talk like the actors in the movie "Fargo" - unless they're from the Iron Range area
My daughter's accent is 100% British - admittedly, her dad's British, she went to school here and so forth. You'd have no idea she has an American mother
"Wandering accent syndrome" -- I like that term! :-)
i love the accent in fargo
My brother lived in St. Johns Newfoundland before he passed away. He picked up the "eh?" habit.
I have been known to say 'innit' (isn't it) - a very London usage
newfoundland is a whole different can of worms..
i dont understand a lot of what they say..lol
That's like when I hear people from either Glasgow or Newcastle. They could be speaking Klingon for all I know (especially strong Newcastle)
I never saw the movie (I don't care for them if they have suspense or violence); but we once were Walleye fishing on a boat launch & there were some young guys whose accents were so thick (like "Fargo" that my husband & his friend were laughing about it; so I do know how it sounds
:)
(they were laughing because it was so interesting to hear; not to make fun of them. The young men were totally unaware of how they sounded to the rest of us.
Fireworks! That's be done for the night - have a great rest of your day, whatever time it is where you live
YAY, matty!! WTG!!!
Woohoo
Have a nice niht matty
That would night..darn ipad
Well i am off to prep some dinner...later died lks

Bye IndiaJan! HAGN!
Fireworks for me too; I had the hardest time seeing that last word (te 5/10) & finally had to list for it! And it's a medical term too, dang it!
congrats Nef
Thanks origami. Anyone need clues?
Okay no one needs clues; so I'm off to try to clean my carpet again. Bye!
