I just re** over the chat -- no clue in there!

Oh great looks like it could be a long day and evening in and out of the grid for me then lol
I was the same last week for the first time in over a year I just could not finish the grid. I think I was having a brain freeze day that day.
Or even better, Ruby a gerund!
Beautiful day, but I feel too rotten to go outside. Would you please come over and walk the dogs? I have no help today!
Well it is raining here (no surrise there then) so no worries, Ruby. I will be there in a few hours...get the kettle on :-)
Sorry to hear you have no help though, Ruby. How come you feel rotten is it the morphine not working?
you are very dear
not so much pain as generalised malaise

Is the babble feeze coming up or have we missed that.

Hi Scrabs! How's it going?
ty dose
hi hego
hi scrab
... I thought you'd be half-way into the Adirondack park by now
I wish, doseffing, but I am a guardian of my grandnephews now, and I sprained my ankle in the Adirondack Mtns in July 13th. :-(
How is it?
halfway!
My ankle, particularly the lateral malleolus, is quite painful and tender, so I am wondering about seeing an orthopod.
Go Harry, go!
sorry scrab :( what an inconvenience
Maybe you should. It's been a while.
It is VERY inconvenient for anyone, especially for an active person, and especially for someone carrying a 25 lb toddler around, and chasing 2 little ones.
caeic
oops
I cannot take the boys on strollers rides. :-(
Yes, being a mom is tough alright.
orthopedist will tell you to rest it and not bear weight, which is impossible
Hi Phae
hello
It is downright exhausting, Hego!
I know!
And I will be told to start PT which I have no time to schedule...
And i did it while quite young.
... many thousands of years ago I worked with an eccentric Englishman who lead his ten and eleven year old children into the company summer picnic on dog leashes ... ... at the time I thought it was barbaric ... but it was effective
At 56 and as a single, working mother it is quite tough.
gotta run - we're packing!
Scrabs, I can only imagine.
I recommend leashes for wild, running toddlers--it is vital to keep them safe.
rather _I_ am packing - everybody else was packed two days ago.
Have fun Harry!!
Where are you going, Harry?
You got Ryder at the toughest age.
It can only get better.
taking the family to Israel for 3 weeks
Yes, toddlers are so demanding and whiny.
Enjoy Harry
Wow, Harry. Enjoy!
ty :) hope to be babbling once we're set up there.
The good part is, Hego, is that he talks like a 24 mo old, so he communicates so well.
bye
That's a plus.
Bye Harry.
Jax has been hitting a lot, which is how he is dealing with his confusion/anger/sadness, so that is a challenge.
He must be so confused.
He seems happy mostly, but then the hitting happens. He does not ask for mom or dad at all.
Interesting
He has separation anxiety and says he is scared a lot. He needs to know where I am all of the time.
Poor baby
How does he do at school?
But he has adjusted well to day care/preschool and runs right in to his classroom.
Good
I must go see a pt. A 280 lb, 63 inch tall 12 yr old girl. *sigh*
sigh...
... gotta go ... ... sunny skies and good luck for all ...
Oh, yikes, Hego. As expected, an obese kid is a reflection of family dysfunction.
Good morning, all. I see Hego's in the grid again.
Hi Judi

how're things on your side of the screen? having a busy summer?
quite busy - been ferrying kids to and from all kind of crazy stuff. and we built three raised beds for next season
and we're leaving on vacation in 5 hours :)
the gardener within! where are you headed?
going to Israel for 3 weeks
my little girls went to a riding camp for a week. so each tmie I dropped them off and picked them up I brought home a load of manure :)
visiting family? everyone is going? the airfare must be expensive
yes it's a ton of money. We last did it 4 summers ago. We visit family, tour around, etc.
you're a good man, harry - just keeping the kids in tow will be like herding cats
we'll (sort of) be in your area in the fall - visiting one of the kids in bennington (which i think is about three hours from you)
I'm in denial about that. dw will be working much of the time, so I'll try to occupy them. I think it will be fun.
they're getting to be old enough that, when you're with family, the familiar refrain of "Go, play!" will be heard - the rest of the time, they probably won't wander far from you. Do they speak Hebrew?
hagd welki - c uy later
enjoy your holiday, harry
a big - gotta run :)
gotcha - run, harry, run!

Back again -- money sent to offspring... I am told eventually they grow up and stand on their own. Considering how long it took me, in a better economy, to reach that goal, I am planning on VERY long-term support methinks!
hi stiddy
hey TO
gah. Just realized I didn't transcribe some music I need for tomorrow night... Guess I'll do that when we are kicking back after supper. Need to practice, too, but not really motivated right now.
what are you playing?
Eventually, stid, they may reciprocate. I couldn't get into a website to buy something today (limited number of items left, & my son had told me about it); my son just went ahead & bought it for me because he knew I was looking for one in my price range for a while.
several pieces, I have percussion for at least three people for one of the selections, and have to pick the parts I can do and re-write them together so I am not trying to turn pages on three scores. I have another that I want to clean up a little, too. :-) It's tedious, but makes playing a lot easier.
oh what a great kiddo you have, Nef! :-D
di7, please?
I am looking but not finding it Marc
Sometimes, stid! :-) I'll pay him back tomorrow; we'll see if he's *really* a great kid if he doesn't ask for the $$ first! ;-)
LOL He is, Nef -- *positive mama-thoughts look*
di**k tracy + a cake layer
di 7= 1st 3 letters ofthepreceding words + layers of a cake
thanks got it
(he's a pretty good guy; stid; but it took a long time for him to grow up. (He's 37 now).
I'll be a million-and-one methinks. I don't "mind" mind, but I wonder whether there is anything I can do NOW to help them both be more thoughtful about how they save/spend and earn... There are so many pitfalls nowadays that we didn't have!
A nudge for the O on the bottom and the H on the top rows? please? and thanks!
atlantic or pacific, stid
and i think the h you're looking for is another word for 'subsequently' - he***forth
One thing I wish we would have done when our kids were young was to sit down & have them listen how we spent our money; the "if we buy this, then we can't buy this" stuff that we went through but they never saw.
wonderful clues, welki! I couldn't figure out which H that clue came from (& I didn't have the O. Thanks!)
those were the ones, thanks welki!
We did that rather a lot, Nef -- we were living so paycheck-to-paycheck because I didn't work outside the home. I thought the idea of budgeting and understanding that you always keep track of what is being spent relative to what you already have (not what you think you'll get) would have rubbed off in some of our conversations!
oh well -- I know they'll figure it out eventually. I hate the idea of them being hurt, though.
hello welk
stid; moms always worry about their kids hurting because life treats them like -life does!
hi owl

true, I mean
