just home from doctor. Sugar values are even lower than last time, and that is without any medication. Blood pressure 120/80. And I got permission to stop the cholesterol medication for 3 months, as a test period. Eye fundus pictures were perfect. So this is all good :D
wow!! well done sprite. what a great reult.
*result*
Alas, nothing to see on the x-rays of knees and hands. No erosion, no rheuma stuff. So only God knows where the pain and swelling come from. Doc wants to have bloodwork done to rule out rheumatism completely.
can i suggest osteomyelitis?

Help with weird A words?
whew! fw, last word a sweet smelling Spring blossom
a + cough, sneeze - have not seen this one before
al5 - if it started with s, it would be a slope
an6 we've seen many times - insect + misspelling of what we inhale
there are 5 ax words Gadget all variations of what you find under a car
6 ax words Deeha
Ok thanks I only have so far!!
5 x al4, 2 x al5
3 x ai4 all we've seen many times
aa4/4
off to play bridge online - be back at flip
holy cannoli - its cold outside. (in case you didnt already know...)
i hung wash outside earlier today. not too bad
hrm. i did only go into the garage, not the actual outside... often its colder in there than it is outside!
Cold here Eva first night under 0 forecast. I'll be getting my hot water bottle out tonight
we have a spare fridge in the garage that we use mainly for beverages + thawing meat... but the sodas are actually freezing out there!
deeha - we put on the flannel bedsheets + pulled out the space heater!
i think it may be time to put on the winter blanket. I want a new one but fleece sees to be t he t hing and i don't know how they compare to wool.
my wool has a few moth holes, but is still usable
They say the British are very selective about their weather - if it is hot we say 'it was nearly 90 today' if it's cold e day 'it was -1 last night'!!We like to chop and change between centigrade and Fahrenheit depending on which sounds the most dramatic!!
deeha -- my parents are from england. that sounds about right. ;)
That is a gorgeous boy Eva
TY. :)
TY. :)
Your baby is adorable!
Wee Evan is really lighting up this chat with his adorable smile. : )
Meanwhile, I don't find it cold when it's almost 50 degrees out.
molly -- its probably only about 30 in our garage! (thats as "outside" as ive gotten so far)
TY jaymil!
Ah, the joys of working from home.
indeed. whilst taking care of the bebe and the pup...who will both start making noise simultaneously, without fail.
You have a puppy AND a baby to tend to?
usually about 2 in the morning I'd wager!!
hallo! can somebody clue the lone A for me please?
what a cute pirate baby!
I think it's the bee word Harry
I have that one...
the 5/12
No, it's not the bee word. It is not together
ty molly
nbt :)
I hate leaf blowers. It makes being at home d uring the day so unpleasant sometimes
I hate the stupid basketball hoop things on the street.. very annoying
It's venting Monday ladies and gentlemen. Get your gripes out here. : D
halfway! gotta get ready for class
well.... while I'm at it...
I could go on for hours about people who shop without a grocery list and just wander around the grocery store staring blankly at the shelves.
ampit - where you spray deodorant tocap- thing on the end of your shoe!!
hrm...i swear i responded to Molly about the pup, but my response seems to have vanished...
molly -- i will make a list, but then darling hubby puts something like "snacks" on it.
I always make a list Molly, trouble is I usually leave it on coffee table!
been there, done that
I learned a long time ago not to involve the males in my life in grocery shopping. If I let them in on it, that ensures that my bill will be 40 dollars higher
well, i kept trying to ask the hubs to be more specific, but he refused. so one day, i brought home fruits + veggies. when he asked me what "snacks" i bought, i pointed to them. he was not amused.
What? Are you supposed to read his mind?
good one!
Had a wonderful afternoon yesterday 'Cranford' back to back and one character in that says something like 'no house runs properly with a man in it'!!
i think they should have their own special time to grocery shop. really.
talk about wandering around clueless
(loves the generalizations abounding around here)
if the cart fits ;)
My husband is a better cook than I am, and does at least half the grocery shopping and laundry. /counterweight
I think men who cook know how to shop.. except for the odds and ends that women always need
I always found you would be shopping with him behind you and you turn round and he's gone! It always takes a lot of looking up and down aisles to find him agai too!!
our thanksgiving is cooked by brother in law. his wife rarely cooks at all. i think whatever works.
good morning
That's what cell phones are for
my husband shouldnt be permitted unsupervised in any sort of store. he has no willpower.
Come to think of it, most of the happily coupled/married men I know are great cooks. That CANNOT be a coincidence, right?
Good thought Sam
my husband never turned his phone on, one of those annoying people that say 'only have it for emergencies'!!
over the weekend, he went to Target. our friend went with him to ensure he stuck to the list... but then i texted HER to request that they fetch...lady supplies. (i knew he would be horrified.)
lots of male cooks in the extended family but my dad could hardly boil water when my mom died. he learned quickly.
Have you pointed out to him that if it's not on, he'll never know when you have an emergency?
good point,sam.
Exactlly Samantha that is what I always tell people!!
my brother couldn't make Jello from a recipe.. but does the shopping.. although he does buy lots of extra vodka when he goes through the checkout line
What state do you live in where you can buy vodka in the checkout line? And are there jobs there? I might move.
Sounds good to me Ruru
ditto
not Connecticut
maybe you need to introduce him to scotch, ruru
our host bought a smoker and we had smoked turkey. it was the best he ever made
no way nan..he'd get into mine :D

I have the ca 7/36
Does anyone have the first CA5? I'm dying over here.

There are two ca7s. We've just clued them both. Combine them for the CA8.

got the mu
I finally got it! It's sort of an obsolete spelling of chalice.
hello and goodnight
sorry not getting the other ca7 I have the ca 7/36?
no def on the game link for any of those words
The only difference between the two is the last vowel
ca 7/36 x2 - one ends with a voyage; the other with a mouse catcher
ohh ok now I get it ty cyber and all
du5?
and the 8 is a mash=up of the two!

I don't know how anyone can play this game on a teeny cell phone screen with teeny cell phone buttons.
need a cell app really
hard to do in browser
Nothing to do with an application. It's the small size of the screen and the buttons.
I play scrabble on phone
so an app could work
I'm not sure how an application increases the size of your screen, buttons or the tiny font you have to read. But hey, whatever works for you.
You can do a different layout
But hey, I use an Iphone 7+ and the screen is a bit bigger
Good evening
hello, clue for the to5/12 pls
to + he ***ted after her, even though she was not his wife.
ty car

I need the stats for the second A in the fourth column please?
ap 5/12
tyvm! I had the other ap 5/12 but not that one.
That is a beautiful star, Molly
Many seem to be missing that ap5
The star, well I'm tired of advent candles at this time of year. The original weeks before Christmas (which was not at this time of year) were preceded by a star like that.
The actual birth of Christ was in April, no?
Hi all
Hi Liz!
How've you been?
Pretty good. very busy
You?
Good - just doing the usual stuff here! Whale watching season finished :(
Was it good this year?
According to the captain of the catamaran we go out on, it was one of their best seasons but although we saw loads of mums and calves, they were just intent on swimming back South. So that was cute. But we didn't see much in the way of breaching or other behaviours. Still, just seeing them is always amazing.
It really is!
I feel so lucky that we can see them so easily here - even just walking along the foreshore, you can see their blows and sometimes some splashing or a breach.
very cool!
It is :)
Help with the first ax 5/20 pls? I've tried so many variations but seem to be missing it.
ax + the doctor held up the v*** to see the specimen
Thanks - one of those disappearing words. I thought I entered that before I entered the TV lead, which is similar!
I have all the ax words, but no clue what the TV lead is.
Fireworks
Begins with co, then the ax added to it.
lead, cable, wire - different words, same meaning!
Oh, I thought you were referring to an ax word. Lead meaning cable.
didn't mean to confuse.
Easily done, with my addled brain.
I thought I'd entered the ax word, which lead (not cable :) ) me to the co word.
Not so, Molly. I'm one of those, who appreciated your clues, especially the 70s rock music ones.
Fireworks
Congrats, car
Need anything before I "poof"?
Should've been appreciates - still do appreciate them! Back at flip. Enjoy your evenings. Off for a walk by the ocean.
HAGD everyone!

R vs r, Peri
Aloy there is a soup recipe in my profile ifyou are interested . butternut squash
thanks peri... always interested in soup recipes!
r vs r?
lame clue, sorry.. aiming for the upper case to give you most of the word
ok
Peri is really into soup recipes
soup is a souperior food
Aloy is too
we are the soup ladies :)
yes.. I am a soupaholic
the only soup I've ever had that I didn't like was a cold avocado soup
I like avocado but I do not really like any cold soup
I like avocado too - and prefer hot soups. Gazpacho (sp?) isn't bad though
I like soup occasionally, but I couldn't eat it all the time. I guess it's a vegetarian thing.
I prefer hot soups too. not crazy about gazpacho.
Are you vegetarian, Molly?
she isn't I am
I know there is no punctuation in that last post
hello friends. TOTALLY ignoring work I need to do
hey Trif
hi Trif
hello peri
hello alloy! wow, it's been a long time since our paths crossed!
yes.. hope all is well with you. Chugging along here!
I don't know what is up with me today - DO NOT feel like doing my classwork.
maybe tomorrow.. life goes like that, a roller coaster
tomorrow is too late, unfortunately. I have a paper to write tonight, and the muse is elsewhere
are you taking a course?
in grad school.
I did not know that, good for you Trif.
ooh.. been there.. just have to dive in and hope the muse emerges
sigh.....I would rather babble
amen.. what is the topic of your paper? We will help inspire you
a lit review of an article in Educational Leadership, titled "know they impact" -- god help us all
wish I could help you
"know thy impact"
oh gag.. so it is how teachers impact students?
yup
mostly, it is unseen ways
I have to answer professor-given questions, all APA format, so..."the writer felt that..."
I know how to do it, and I have read the article...I just don't WANT to do it.
oh, I see.. so it is more an analysis of a paper you were assigned to read?
yes ma'am. I al4 have a 30 page chapter to read and a backward design unit plan to do
sounds daunting, Trif. when is this all due?
grad school is tuff at times - SO much reading and analysis
wednesday
I think that is an interesting writing assignment. It is introspective. What do you offer, as an educator, that impacts your students?
it was an interesting article as well, molly.
how did you react to "Know thy impact"? Did it hit a chord with you or did you cringe?
it was good, actually - the writer discussed how there are different levels of feedback, and you have to give it at the right time, etc.
OH HEY -- very crafty miss! I see what you are doing! lololol
fine, you all win....off I go....xoxox
sometimes articles hit you as a bunch of bunk, and others are a joy to read, depending on your experience and your philosophy, etc
you go, girl!
I'm not really sure how an idea like "how do you impact your students" merited a "gag" response. I think it is an interesting question and worth writing about.
well, Molly.. if you have taken extensive courses in Ed., you might relate to the fact that some of them are very time-consuming exercises in trying to figure out which school of thought your professor subscribes to so that you can give the appropriate responses to inquiries such as the one Trifioso is now laboring over. Give me data, not opinions.
help with first LA 5/10
la + Mr. Onassis
When it comes to writing exercises, "the appropriate response" is not always the answer. "How do you impact your students?" is an introspective question designed to make educators think about what they have to offer those they teach.
thnx
yw
too many memories of transactional analysis
Ugh, TA takes me back. Hiya babblers :D
me too, origami.. so glad not to have to wrestle with it now. Headed off, fw.. Happy Babbling
shouldn't the singular be acuman? evening all
Good Evening, Everyone. How are you all tonight?
Hi dan2; I just tried that word too
(Trying to multitask here; May be slow on responding for a bit)
transactional analysis sounds kind of dirty and kinky
just sayin'
I've never taken a course in education. Which has put me at odds with many administrators I've been unlucky enough to work under.
tr7 - compound word describing your local male LSD dealer
2/3 done! going to the list.
It isn't really kinky, but it does make every interaction between people a "what can you give me for what I give you'" kind of thing. To me it reduces human relationships into unconscious business deals.
done! last word was ma7
hagn all
morning all
not going to finish today, need to get back to work
before I go , have all the sevens, but need help with the 8?
Need the CA 6/24
and the MA 7/36 please
ma7= what you use to capture the male
ca6/24= ca+type of flat bread
thank you Ishult!
ca8 uses both of the vowels from the second syllables of the ca7 words.
morning all - another 150 would be nice
