thanks pen
frustrating to find that when i listed, some words i know i typed in earlier today weren't there...
that's been happening a lot :-(
hi folks
hi...
<-- should look at the time of previous posts
hi pen - visited family in vermont for thanksgiving and took a side trip to boston for oysters, clams and lobster rolls!
Hi Welki ! :-)
cool!
hey diane
Sounds like a wonderful Nov. Thanksgiving!
hang on phone
diane, it was great -- all the kids, grandkids and friends from australia we haven't seen for 20+ years!
.....the kind of time you'll remember forever! That is wonderful.
I had decided to give Babble a "rest" for the month of December as times start to get busy. This is my last game for a while and what a send-off! BIG grid!
hehe - until you decide to take a peek and get sucked in again :) are you down south now?
I'll play again in January, which is when we will be "south"....flying this time :-) And yes, I'll get sucked in again.....I love the game but my personality is the type that once I start a game, I'm compelled to finish it!!
i used to be like that, but i just don't have the time to finish (or even play) every day
I'm trying to change ;-) We will see!
will you be down my way before you leave? it's about time we had coffee
Probably not, .....son and wife are in AZ. right now, will be here for Christmas then we leave. It's more than "time" we met for a visit and coffee. I have been so close to you many times over the past few years.....a crying shame, as my Mom used to say!! We will one day, I know! .....even if I dropped in on you at the lake one summer day!!
that would be great if you visited us at the lake - golf!
I only golfed once this past summer.....pain is my enemy :-( Our daughter and son in law leased a lot at Silver Creek ( near Camrose ) , but no fishing there, just camping and golf.
hello again - supper over with and the evening is mine :-)
i injured my shoulder last january and had a hard time this past season, too - i hope it'll be better by spring
hi nan :-)
and hi nan
looks like Canada night around here
I hope so too, welki.
Nice red and white flag!
ni 6 please?
Unfortunately, my pain is not going to get better....I just have to ignore it!
funny word Nan....a bunch of vowels with a double consonant in the middle.
ni plus room addition plus another vowel
ty -- a babblet we've had before
actually it's a unit of measurement but in crosswords, they clue it as a building addition.
can someone clue the first se 7word please?
the only se7 i have is the flying rat
hmmm....
it's a bird, pen - jonathan livinstone se7
a naughty bird who poops on you near the wharf!
keep your head covered!
duh....hard to believe that i have only 10 left and that is one of them!
livingston - d'oh
se 7: the reason there are nets covering every statue and domed arch in europe
Going to go watch the hockey game and maybe listen to hubby swear at the TV.....be back later to finish. I still have 45 to go. Nice to chat :-)

i figure if you really love your daughter you would not name her something that sounds like an STD
well, he didn't name his daughter. shakespeare did.
oof!
roof!
i'm stuck on an in5/10, how pathetic is that
the in*** sanctum?
Would it be motionle4/4?
rhymes with smelly veggie?
You have to remember that when Shakespeare named Lear's daughters STD's were lumped in with "wasting disease"
veggie that makes you cry?
no, have both of those, it's next to the... ah yes pen's is it!!
dictionary.com places the origin of gonorrhea into English at 1540 - 1550, and King Lear was first performed in 1606. i suppose it might have only been doctors who knew and used the term at first.
initial (phantom)
i'm not a shakespeare scholar, just a pathetic punster
didn't think even doctors were aware of viruses and germs back then
no i just like to investigate questions when they pop into my head
germs were not discovered till the 1800s (being a bookdealer does help you learn some stuff)
melanin (phantom)
Proper noun: NC team
tried that, too, lol....
sentinel (too many phantoms argh)
someone earlier had that same phantom....
else (yeah, phantom)

Gonna duck out and Christmas shop a bit...

bat poo! (got it, tx hurshy)
it's not bird, only bat?
maybe, but i've only heard it use for bat poo (who cares, i found the word)
wiki says seabirds, seals, and bats! seals! who knew?
seabirds -- whaddayanose
i thought bat, too - learn something new every day :)
uh oh, hurshy, hide quick! LOL
idk maybe i should go in the PB anyway since se7 is in the grid

Minkeyed the u's!

How about that pesky second column e?
ICWUDT
Yep. 😎
I only have two of those. One is the es9; the other is es5/10
it is es9/54 that you find the es9, because you can't complete the puzzle otherwise.
es5/18
The other is a plural of a letter of the alphabet.
Oh. Thanks, torgone
The plural of the letter of the alphabet must be from the other e, because i have that one...
el5/10 is the other
Oh, you're right. Sorry. es5/10
el5/10 I should stop now, I can't get things right
Got the es9. Thx!
